The price is high for the springs: $55 per person. The ambiance of this historic site has been ruined by timeshare condos and the sounds of daily construction as they expand on both sides of the road.

They don't offer nonsmoking rooms. I discovered this when I walked into mine. When I asked them to deodorize it, they came very quickly. We cane in to the smell of BUG SPRAY, not the febreze that I ended up buying the next day.
The hot springs were great. Very soothing. Staff was friendly and helpful.
The cleanliness of the rooms wasn't up to par.

The bed was very hard I think you need to go to the spa just to get the knots out of your back for sleeping on it. The resort is wonderful the hot springs are fun. The rooms are a great size, they are perfect for a family. I will definitely come back.

This place is a nightmare, you can order a package in one minute but you cannot recieve a refund unless you state a reason in writing and send it to them in the mail. The reps on the line will put you through 15 different hotlines and then they will be rude and condescending to you there is no way to win with them and any "promotional offers" are a scam. I do not recommend this for anyone, buyer beware.

Can't go low enough. You pay maintenance fees and monthly fees and then when you go to utilize YOUR timeshare, you are told there is an extra $50.00 per person fee to use the pool??
Sounds like a total rip-off to me!

This resort is a little out on its own but actually still very close to things. We love being able to look out over the nature preserve and hear the geese but then drive 10 minutes to the Starbucks in Minden. Plus, we are only a little over 20 minutes drive over the mountain to Stateline and South Lake Tahoe. We are staying in a studio room which is quite small but we knew that when we booked it. The hot springs and the spa services are definitely the main reason to be here. Harriet's Cafe makes delicious food too.

The resort as a whole is very 'eye appealing', but that was ultimately the only good part of our stay. My family stayed here for two nights for free (we had to endure a 60 min time share presentation in lue of paying the $250+ nightly room cost). There is ALWAYS room for improvement - and there is lots to improve on. Wally's resort has recently been renovated, but they are still lacking updates in simple ways - ways that can make a big difference: old standard projection tv's are still being used (apparently soon to be updated), the shower head is rental quality and completely below standard for the otherwise completely updated bathroom. Full kitchen (with basic dishes for 4 people), washer/dryer combo in the unit was nice. The bed was horrible. The linen was horrible and uncomfortable. The sofa (which is also a hide-a-bed) is made of a cheap leather and the bed portion is even cheaper. The resort is a 15 minute drive south of Carson City (which was convenient for food). The resort restaurant is EXPENSIVE and more 'fine dining' and 20 min drive from S Lake Tahoe. There is a decent sizes grass area with volley ball nets set up where kids can run around and a kids play area build and designed for the snow season - its elevated a little higher for when the snow packs in... without snow it can make it difficult for small children to get up and on the play set from the ground. Ive had far better stays at Best Westerns.

My hubby and I stayed here in August of 2014 (We did the free trip, 60 min timeshare meeting) We had no extra fee's which was great! I was very blunt and honest to the time share guy and told him we had no intention on buying whats so ever and he showed us the nicer homes then we were done (total of 20 mins)
The resort is very nice, on the outside. When we got into our room it was the lowest model (but what do you expect for free stay) My MAJOR issues was the bathroom was dirty. There was urine in the toilet and urine on the toilet seat there was hair in the bathroom sink as well DISGUSTING!
The part I LOVED was the spa day!!!! My hubby and I only slept at the resort. The food was WAY over priced at the resturaunt there and wasn't even good, the cafe' was good. We enjoyed touring Nevada way more then lounging around at the over crowded pool that's OPEN to the PUBLIC EVEN IF YOUR NOT A GUEST THERE....

We found the place to be very accommodating, we ended up getting two rooms side by side for the whole family, they were nicely painted and had some tile on the floor, the kitchen was a little bit small for the family to cook in but we managed, we wanted to barbecue some steaks had to use the charcoal briquettes but found that the facilities had none available had to go in town and get some, we ended up going twice a day to the Mineral Springs pools there are several different temperatures in the spring pools you just have to find the one that is suitable for you and the kids, we are owners and did not have to pay to enter the hot spring pools, I guess we paid enough for the timeshare so it was accounted for entrance into the springs, had a good time would come again

Inedible location with wonderful views of the Carson Valley and Sierra Nevada mountains. Rooms are perfect for jumping off to explore with fridge and microwave, dining sets and comfortable beds. The one downside (due to split ownership of the properties)is that your stay does not include nor Grant you discounted access to the hot springs which is a bit of a downer since the resort is built around them. All in a great place to book for your stay in the Carson Valley area.

Took a mini vacation with this resort, my overall experience was amazing! Pools were clean, room was exceptional and the restaurant was so delicious. I would recommend anyone taking this vacation! Bring out your kids or to use as a couples retreat, either way I would love to do a trip like this again!

My husband and I are owners here and we really enjoy coming to the spa to sit in the Mineral Springs and just soak up the goodness and the warmth. They have a nice size heated mineral pool as well so my son loved spending time in there. They also have both a dry and wet sauna in the changing room. The rooms are very nice and most of them look out over an Open Meadow and up to the mountains. It's also very conveniently located close to Lake Tahoe and the historic towns of Genoa and Virginia City.

Decent rooms, beautiful and peaceful grounds... But come here for the NATURAL HOT SPRINGS.

That's the main selling point of this place. Dunno why else you would be here, but a hot soak after a day of skiing is DIVINE. :)

DO NOT GO HERE! Stephanie (Resort Director) should not even be in charge of a grill in McDonalds let alone given some little sort of authority of this resort . My husband and I drove through hail, sleet and snow over 2 hours to get here on the word of their employee whom I ve called and spoken with twice today (confirmed on phone records). I was told to purchase their Groupon as it was a cheaper route. Perfect. Arrived and was told it is not valid on holiday weekends. Ummm...isn t that something that you should have told me on the phone or not even have sold me to go through a third party? Took absolutely no ownership of the situation, offered no help or assistance and belittled me and ridiculed my speech. I asked multiple times for her to own up to the situation as it was pretty crappy for us all at this point and she told me she would call security if I would not leave. There was literally no one outside in the hot spring pools, it s one thing if they were packed or filling up with their resort guests but to be sent away when you re already empty is very poor management. Stephanie is a vile woman and extremely inconsiderate. I will be leaving this truthful review across all social media platforms. To the owners, if you wish to keep your business; fire Stephanie. I am not Angelina Jolie but I do know enough people to deter them from coming to this establishment.

It was really nice. I have no complaints about the business itself. However, we did attend a Time Share Sales Presentation. I understand that the salesmen need to be high pressure. But he was very insulting to us directly as well as Genoa locals (We live in Genoa). Described the locals as "rif-raff". The people of Genoa are some of the nicest people and the most welcoming community I've ever had the privilege of living in.

Book 3 rooms in one week for me my sister and my aunt and our friends went too .Two rooms haven t had any service until we called the day before and then we got charged 279 extra for their old broken plastic cover on the bottom fridge That fell off and they acted like the room needed extra cleaning And people are complaining at the pools that their prices are $50 per person because it s not usually included with the booking unless you do an exchange for somebody else s timeshare and not all exchange timeshare allows that even if it s a child seven years old It will still need to pay 50 bucks for each day wasn t happy with them the quality is not worth 50 bucks a day

I came here on a deal. It was super cheap for a 2 night stay and got a deal on a massage. Everyone was super nice and it really was an amazing stay all around. There was a catch that I had to sit through a time share speech. It seemed like a decent enough deal, but it wasn't in my budget.
I have also gone here for a wedding. They helped my buddy take care of everything. It was a beautiful ceremony in a beautiful venue. The food was delicious and everything went off perfectly. After most of the guests left we went back to the rooms, which are beautiful and continued the party. It was a little difficult to find the correct building where the room was after drinking, but we figured it out eventually. The views are beautiful here too. It is an awesome little gem in Nevada.

An overall family friendly place for a nice hot springs trip. The hot springs are quite expensive and your room does not include the hot springs. Access to the hot springs is $50 a person a day - not a 24 hours period, only that day, which I think is a bit on the high side. They have a variety of pools from luke warm to nice and hot and it wasn't too crowded. During they day lots of kids. The steam room is amazing, but other than that the other amenities are pretty bare. We got a "dip and dine" deal which seemed good until we went to redeem our dinner. Now I asked prior to purchase if there were any restrictions or special requirements or special menus and I was told no. When we went for our dinner - there was a special menu and you only had three choices to choose from and you automatically received desert with the dinner. Ended up it was the special menu of the day and the meal was valued at $39 per person, which I had to pay tax for and an automatic 20% gratuity was added on top. It ended up not really being a deal, I could have easily ordered off the regular menu, gotten to choose what we wanted to eat and spent less in the long run. The food was good, service was good, nothing spectacular. It is a time share resort, so if you want to take the tour - you can get free hot springs, but that was not our choice.

We got two rooms for 3nights, they did NOT let us into the hot springs. They have some dumb only 6 people per two rooms, per week policy? Then they said you can buy to get in, $50!!! That's crazy, I guess this place is for the 1%, go to the Carson City one it is cheaper and has "the hammer"

I have not been here for more than ten years. I never went back
because it was dirty and noisy. A friend convinced me to try again
yesterday because her friends told her about a locals special, breakfast
or lunch and a couple of hours soaking for $25. I was skeptical, but I
went along. I was right, upon arrival we were told that holiday inn had
bought them out and had taken control the first of November. No more
locals specials. This place is ridiculous, they threw up a bunch of slipshod
condos a long time ago that are falling apart now. To use the springs is
$50 dollars during the week, $55 on the weekend. You can go to Carson
hot springs in nearby Carson City for $13 for all day including sauna. And
on most days you can go to the Paradise Spa in Carson City to use the salt pool and sauna for about $7 or 8 dollars. Do not waste your time or money on Walleys, just an overpriced tourist trap.

Absolutely love this resort. Drove in from Sacramento through mountains and it isn't an easy drive but once we got there it was worth it. The views are spectacular. Stayed here for 7 days. Room was very clean and spacious. Large stand up shower with Jacuzzi next to it. Full kitchen with stove and fridge. Washer dryer inside unit. Comfy bed. Welcome brochure was very helpful for surrounding cities and events. Had a slight issue with screen door being broken and A/C not working properly but maintenance fixed issues very quick. Location is great. It's a 20 minute drive to Lake Tahoe. 15 minute drive to Carson city and a 45 minute drive to Reno. About a 4 hour drive to Yosemite. Harriets cafe is on property grounds and it was a 2 minute walk from our room. There is a saloon/bar on property as well but didn't get a chance to go. Check in check out was a breeze. Great amenities. Staff is excellent and helpful. Highly recommend this resort. Will definitely be staying here again.

David Walleys was grt, a 5 star resort. We had a 2 bedrm villa, the villa was very nice & roomy. The air conditioner stopped working but maintenance took care of us ASAP. Thank you Charlie, you made our visit fun.The restaurant was grt but a bit pricey for us. Mineral pools were grt, along w/swimming pool was beneficial for my fybromyagia pain. The candy dance festival was going on last wkend in Sept. Lots of vendors displaying their crafty items along with some great homemade candy. Hope to visit 2015, & say hi to our new friend Charlie !

If, on the specials, you are offered the steakhouse chowder, do not pass it up. This is perhaps one of the tastiest things I have ever eaten. The ambiance is relaxed and romantic. The food is fantastic. The price is more than reasonable for what you are getting.
The hot springs are soothing on the body and rejuvenating for the spirit. Apparently Mark Twain thought as much, too. Cannot recommend highly enough.

I made a reservation thru Expedia and 10 minutes later I realized that I had made a mistake as to date of our stay. I called Expedia immediately thereafter and tried to change the date. The Resort had no room for the date I wanted and still would not waive the $28 cancellation fee. It's hard to believe that for $28 they would lose a customer for life. I can only assume that based on this experience, I would have hated the place. Thanks very much for your "service."

It s a great getaway in a beautiful mountain area! I thought that I would only ever like to visit places with ocean/water views but this place fits my liking perfectly and has no water views. The hot springs are nice (heated pool available for kids)! The regular swimming pool is nice with 3 surrounding spas. The only issue I have with this is the pool has always been very dirty when I have used it

Really cool spot with beautiful views of Carson Valley. The resort needs to improve some of its operations though. Small things like playing soft lounge music to drown out the voices of conversations around the pool area, to bigger things like offering more food and beverage throughout the day (the restaurant actually shuts down entirely for several hours) and more bar seating for evening patrons could really take this place to the next level. Overall very positive experience though.

Wally's Hot Springs and Summer Winds are using bait and switch tactics on customers. They sell a package for a stay and you have to take a tour of the property but buyers beware, you'll be staying at a Holiday Inn somewhere in the region. It is NOT an overnight stay at their resort.

Great place for a wedding and fun times with friends.

So the wife and I visited here for a wedding of a high school friend of hers. We also took this as a reason to go over the mountain to Lake Tahoe.

Such a great destination and a place I never thought I would have enjoyed so much. There is so much to do and see around the resort.

My wife and I highly recommend spending some time here is you can, the natural hot springs are incredible and will definitely be marking a return trip.

I called to book my dates for my package and the supervisor I spoke to was so bent on telling my package is expired that she was not willing to listen to the fact that I had paid for an extention and was told I had to wait until closer to the months of travel to book because they could not book that far out. She had such a horrible attitude she didn t even appropriately introduce herself when the call was connected. As a customer I felt she was not willing to listen to my concern because she had already determined her answer. Poor customer service. I would not give any stars if that was an option. However, I will give one star to the representative that I asked to transfer me to the supervisor. She tried to resolve but did not have all the answers.
