Going to a dealership might be on some people worst place to go list. I will have to say that the sales team here go far beyond the norm. I wanted a specific vehicle and I went to several dealerships and kept getting turned down and wanting me to buy what they had. When I went to see the sales team at Chapman they helped me but figured out that I didn't want what was one the lot. They helped me with building my own vehicle from the factory. I thought long and hard about this and came to the realization that they are looking out for me.
The ordering process was fast, easy. Don't get to worried about the build. It takes time and it was built and delivered exactly the way I wanted. Nobody has test drove this vehicle. It came right off the truck (train) and I was the first person to drive it except for the dealer personal to get it to me. The best part for me was that I got what I wanted and I didn't get stuff I didn't want. I don't like a sunroof it seems like they all leak at some point or break down. And the trim level that I wanted the dealer will usually put it in the package.

Bought a car here 4 years ago. They constantly call my cell phone, and always promise to remove me from the list. It upsets me that they do not honor their word.

I would use caution, get any promises in writing, or consider working with businesses that have earned a higher reputation.

It was the best experience I ve ever had at a dealer, everything I wanted I got and the employees in the location are some of the most laid back relaxed sales people I ve ever dealt with. Nothing to complicated about an oil change, tire rotation, and inspection. Service made one good catch on the safety inspection. (Always wondered whether they checked boxes or really did them. Now I know.) Service was quick and efficient but a tad on the pricey side, hence 4 stars. I guess somebody has to pay for that lovely new facility. All that said,it was a good experience.

Bill is terrible, I scheduled an appointment and was told to ask for Bill. When I got to the dealership I stated I was told to ask for Bill and have someone ride in my vehicle to try and diagnose an issue. The guy I told this too (who turned out to be Bill) immediately got volatile and goes "WHO told you that? WHO, I'm Bill there is no one here who can ride a long with you. I have customers" and walked away from us. The guy was a jerk from the second we started talking and didn't help us in the slightest.

If I could give this dealership a minus star, I would. Purchased a truck in first week January, paid in full. Still haven't been able to get our deposit back when ordered in November/December. Referred a friend who also bought a truck and the referral fee must be a scam since they can't seem to be able to give us the fee. Our truck with 200 miles was out-of-service for 3 weeks while a new power steering pump was ordered to replace defective one. The sales manager, Patrick Hofer, has been dealing with this since the end of January (now it's March) and is getting nothing done despite MANY EMPTY promises. The general manager, Gary Brewer, doesn't return phone calls. We have been more than patient giving them several chances to fix this. This is the 3rd vehicle we have purchased from Chapman and obviously the last.

The dealership wanted this review modified because they 'stepped up' to deal with these issues. They also said they were stepping up to fix these issues 2 weeks before this original review. Now about 3 weeks since a personal trip to dealership & told 'check in the mail', no check yet for deposit on the January purchase. If somehow this situation was reversed, they wouldn't let it go 1 week to collect their money. There's a real problem here. And the referral fee? They say they need a W9 signed to report income to the IR for the $100 referral fee for referring a friend who bought a truck. It would be interesting to know many people have referred a friend to Chapman and signed a W9? Or does anyone refer to Chapman? They are a huge disappointment for all their promises. And the complaint through the better Business Bureau, the dealership has completely put it on us they we wouldn't cooperate with them and lay the blame on us. And the reasons listed on their rebuttal are complete lies. And they say they 'cut a check' and 'it's in the mail'. They should be completely ashamed of themselves. There are a lot of car dealerships out there. Hopefully whoever reads this finds somewhere else to spend their dollars. 3/13 : Chapman still has not refunded our deposit and still no referral fee. Chapman doesn't deserve your time or money.

I was sort of nervous looking for a new car because I didn't want a car salesman to take advantage of my lack of knowledge with cars and prices. To my surprise, I had an amazing experience with finding a car and a price that was affordable to me. Blake helped me through the process and made me feel so excited and comfortable for my new car. He laid everything out for me and I was able to see the numbers on paper so I knew exactly what to expect on prices. Blake didn't try to take everything I had and he found me such a great affordable car. An experience that could have been so dreadful and annoying, was turned into something fun and quiet enjoyable. Your team is lucky to have Blake on it and I'm sending my friends, family, and clients all to Blake if they ever need a car.

Since I posted what is noted below, the Service Manager called and described where this facility went wrong in communication and the way they checked my tire. Had you communicated to me that you would look into this matter and planned to get back to me I would have held off on posting this review. I look forward to giving this dealership another opportunity to service my vehicle. Thank you for the call Lee.

I took my Dodge Challenger for routine Oil Change and Tire Rotation today. I was told there was a nail in my tire and it is not repairable . They could not replace the tire as they didn t have one in inventory (thankfully). I approached my car and noticed that there was no spare on the car. I thought that was odd as the nail was supposedly in the passenger/front tire. Heat and bad front tire seems like a bad mix. I took my car home and inspected the tire. There is a small, what appears to be puncture, on the tire. It is 1 and 11/16 inches from the crown (outside edge) of the tire and is on the outside edge of the outer most tread ring. I get the policy that their facility will not repair it as it is outside the tread ring by about a millimeter. The problem is there is NO NAIL and my tire is NOT LEAKING air.

Thus, I took my car to Discount Tire nearby. They told me they'd gladly repair the tire if it actually required repair and said but it is not leaking and does NOT NEED TO BE PATCHED confirming what I believed to be true.

Chapman never looked to see if the tire leaked air, instead they suggested I pay $366.95 plus tax for a replacement. YES THIS SERVICE DEPARTMENT WOULD REPLACE A NON-LEAKING TIRE that has 7/32 tread on it.

As a note, I believe it is a nice car with expensive tires and I chose to purchase it. So, I wasn t shocked by the price they quoted me. That is, until I asked Discount Tire out curiosity how much it would be replace it. $233 plus tax. Enough Said BEWARE!

This is a copy of the reply email I sent to the sales rep who made an appointment with me today. But conveniently didn't work today.

"I guess you didn't work today.
So I'll tell you about my experience on your behalf.

I walk in and they're discussing (Not knowing it's me standing right next to them) that you don't work today and needed to pass it off to someone else. Which is totally fine. Thought nothing of it.
I was passed off to someone who I was able to walk through the car with and talk about what I was there for with. Who was very pleasant.
I wish I knew his name however he was not in uniform and had no name tag. No identifying factors that he worked there.
And he goes on with the dialogue on how he's gonna help me.

Then I sit down and am given to your manager who goes.
"So any car will work"
Walks away for awhile.
Comes back with paperwork
Sits there in silence as I fill it out
No inviting or reassuring dialouge whatsoever.

Then sees my hourly wage is 10.50
Doesn't check my credit. Doesn't ask what I had to put down on another vehicle.
Asks if i have a cosigner
Says the car is on its last legs.
And promptly cuts the meeting to a close.

My main reason for going to Chapman was because that's where I bought the car.
And that original experience was just as puzzling as the guy who sold it to me was in training. And ended up calling me back 2 days later telling me to bring the car back because they sold it to me without ever doing a routine maintenance check on it. And I ended up having issues that kept it there about 2 days before I could get it back. And i had to just deal with no car.

The car has continued to have issues since.

Chapman got a 23k check from my bank.
For a car that wasn't sound

But now I guess is no one's problem over there anymore

None of this is of your fault of course.

So then feeling really defeated I drove to auto nation Honda in Chandler

Where they sat with me. Appraised my car so I knew at least how upsidedown I was on it.
Listened to my concerns.
And helped me find my extended warranty that would cover the repairs.
Knowing up front I probably wasn't going to buy anything.

I spoke with 3 people at Chapman. And got no where. In like an hour.
Honda. 1 guy. 20min. Fixed everything.

I don't know if it's because I'm in my 20s or a woman that I was so easily dismissed. Id hope not.
But I will not be returning to this place of business again. "

I was contacted by the service department who wanted to make things right. Without going into too much detail.. the service department lead, along with their lead tech asked for the vehicle to correct any issues within reason and make good on a couple broken promises by previous "service advisor." It is not about the mistake, but how we react to the mistake. I appreciate them reaching out. My biggest issue (besides a well working vehicle) was that I felt disrespected by the time I went home previously. And they amended that. So for this, I thank them.

I have no issue with the sales side if this business. But the service department as a whole has made this purchase of our first Mopar vehicle absolutely not worth it. We have had the same issues with our 2016 Dodge Journey from the first week of having it - and 4 services/18 months later. And nothing is covered between manufacturer and the extended warranty. Nobody wants to help, or even give the impression that they are helping. Will never buy or service another vehicle from this location. FYI this is very PG rated vs what I want to say, and leaves out a lot of details.

I leased the all new 2018 Jeep Wrangler Unlimited from Chapman at the end of May. I worked with Reeve Luxmore and my experience was nothing short of outstanding. He was upfront throughout the entire process. When I came in the deal was exactly what Reeve said it would be. If you are in the market for a new or used vehicle do yourself a favor and give Chapman the opportunity to earn your business. I worked with a couple of their competitors prior to contacting Chapman and there is no comparison. As someone that was works in the automotive industry at a used car dealership I truly respect how Chapman does business. There is a reason why they continue to grow and have success. They do things the right way. A big thank you to Reeve and the rest of the team at Chapman!

I have been shopping around for a new car for quite sometime and have been experiencing the same thing time after time at other dealerships, until now. Blake is very attentive and knowledgeable about the cars he is selling. I really appreciate his honesty and when I had certain questions he knew the answers to them. As an enrolled member of the Salt River Pima-Maricopa Indian Community, I was eager to visit Chapman Dodge, because they are located on my reservation. Received an email stating SRPMIC members would get fleet pricing from Chapman Dodge, so I asked for fleet when I arrived. First, I get a sales rep that's not familiar with their product (Dodge Ram Megacab). Then we walk out to take a look at the vehicle I'm interested in and the sales rep tells me we need to walk to the back of the lot to get the vehicle. I tell him I would wait around the front for him to bring the vehicle out front. The sale rep ends up standing behind me eating his lunch. I ask him if he was going to go get the vehicle and he said no, he can't drive the vehicle. That I need to go with him if I want to test drive the vehicle. Sale rep had the attitude like he could care less to sell me a new truck. Sales rep's name is Ricardo Downie. I guess the SRPMIC discount was in service, professionalism, and courtesy. You think you would get better service when you're looking to purchase a $65-$70k vehicle. Not at this place.

Besides over priced vehicles, the vehicle I went to finalize the deal on they ended up wanting to charge another $300/month on top of what the deal was done on which isn t fine because the vehicle had a big dent and scratched all over a brand new 2020 Jeep Compass that will probably never sell because we even found screws in the tires, the air conditioning did not work whatsoever and even the saleswoman said it s not a problem we will fix it, Of course your going to fix it, it s brand new it shouldn t need fixing. Plus the cigarette ashes from god knows who in the front seats of the vehicle. Highly recommend going a few miles to Courtesy jeep and getting a better deal. Waste of time at this dealership.

The only problem I have is that they moved from the McDowell location which was much more convenient for me as I live in West Tempe. WOW! All I can say is the typical car buying/looking experience we all dread was NOT dreadful one bit. Chapman and Blake T were so incredible towards me and my high demanding needs. Blake was quick to respond to my emails texts and phone calls and had so much knowledge to offer to send me in the right direction of a car. Car was going to auction this week and needed some repairs. We were probably off by not that much, not sure why they would rather take less from the wholesaler. We were ready to buy, oh well. She was beyond awesome, and helped us work out a deal where everyone was happy. My wife picked up the car this afternoon and is thrilled. Long story short, I will never purchase a vehicle from this dealership again, and will be sure to let everyone I know in the market for a car to steer CLEAR of this dealer. Read on if you'd like to know why.

I came to Chapman Dodge last Thursday to purchase a 2016 Camaro SS. I absolutely loved the car except for one issue, the car had an extremely loud rattling sound coming from the driver side exhaust manifold. I agreed to purchase the car under 2 terms.

1. The car passed inspection (it was a recent trade in and hadn't been inspected yet)

2. The techs would fix the rattling sound coming from the manifold.

They promptly agreed that it would be taken care of the next day. On friday afternoon I get a call saying the car has been inspected and the rattle is fixed, and I am clear to purchase the vehicle. Upon arrival to the dealership the car is back being detailed, but they assured me the car was fixed and ready for delivery. I take their word for it and complete all the paperwork to purchase.

They pull the car around after I purchase the vehicle and what do you know? The rattle is still there, I bring this up to them and they say they'll take care of it if I bring it back the next day. I agree and drive home in my new Camaro.

Well I drop the car off on Monday night and let service know what the problem was, and they tell me it will be fixed and ready to go by the next day.

Tuesday comes along and I get a call, "Everything is fixed and ready to go!" I come by that night after work and of course, nothing has been fixed. The rattle is still there and just as loud. I tell them to look at it again and leave the car there.

I then receive a phone call on Wednesday from the Service Advisors working on my car. Anthony and Chris Lieone. Both of them stated that the exhaust was "designed to sound like that" and that "there was nothing any of the techs could do about it". I told them how I purchased the car under the condition that it was fixed and they told me "Because it is not an actual issue, that they do not have to fix it." He swore up and down that he had 4 techs look at it and there was nothing they could do, and even if there was it wasn't there problem because "the exhaust was meant to sound like that."

Well the exhaust clearly wasn't meant to sound like a tin can but I figured they were not going to do anything so I went and picked up the car from them.

I promptly took the car to a shop that I know and trust (Performance Muffler) and within 10 minutes of the car being in their shop they find the issue and fix it. There was a piece off of the primary cat that was loose and they fixed it. Despite the fact that Chapman, Chris Lieone, and the service Director Mike told me over and over that the exhaust was "designed to sound like that" and "there was nothing that they could do." Effectively violated my arrangement when purchasing the vehicle.

I call Chapman Dodge to inform them that their team blatantly ignored the issue and that my car was now fixed (with money out of my pocket) and each time I called in I was either hung up on or sent straight to voicemail.

Chapman Dodge clearly does not care about their customers at all and gave no effort in fixing a simple issue on a car that I had just purchased from them.

Chris Leone, Mike, and Anthony were an absolute pain to work with and I'm glad I will never be dealing with them ever again.

I bought a challenger and the first one I got had some issues. Long story short Robert the assistant general manager did everything he could to fix it. Thanks to Eddie the general manager and Robert they put me in a new one and I am 100% happy. If you're buying a car this is the dealership to go to because they will go above and beyond to make sure the customer is happy. I will return for my future cars. Also big shout out Mr.Wyatt Chatburn, amazing customer service. He went out of his way to explain everything inside of my car. If you're looking to buy a car ask for Wyatt Chatburn.

Sadly I did not have a pleasant experience here, even though the GM was very friendly & nice. Our salesman ruined it for us. He didn't seem to care what we were looking for, kept showing vehicles that did not have the features we were looking for. Liked one vehicle listed at $17K. After we sat down to move forward on the purchase it went up to over $23K, w all these needless "accessories" & that DID NOT include warranty or GAP. Decided we would leave, only to be chased down at the freeway light to tell us they'd make the deal we wanted. Went back, deal we asked for $20K out the door, included a $1,000 down pymt & an insulting $100 trade in for our vehicle. Never been so insulted in my life! I'll never go back here again!

I called on Friday afternoon to get our Chrysler Town and Country in for an oil change as soon as possible, and ended up going there right after I hung up the phone. It was my first time at the new Chapman Auto Center location in Scottsdale, and the service facility was very neat and clean. The oil change included maintenance inspections, and it was completed very quickly, while I waited. As an extra bonus, the minivan was washed free of charge! Blaine was super helpful and courteous.

Dont know about this place. Was referred to them for a recall with the airbag. Made a couple of calls prior to the appointment. No answer. Left multiple messages. No return calls. Finally got to speak with someone who confirmed the appointment and advised it would need to be left. Arrive at confrmed appointment time. Total chaos. Supposedly the internet was down. No one knew what was going on. Left hand does not communicte with the wrist, let alone the right hand. Fumble thru it. Leave. Get a call. It has 2 recalls and they only have parts for one. Special order with the 2nd. But the light wont be fixed with the recall issues resolved. Thatll take $155 and hours to figure out. Pick up the vehicle, still utter chaos. Hands us our paperwork. With someone elses name on it. But what are the chances of 2 2010 siver Jeep Compass in at the same time with air bag recalls? Ok. Wait for them to get the special part specifical for my vehicle. Get a card. Call back with questions. For example, does my Jeep need followup care? Or was it the other guys 2 recall If they need to fix it after running the $155 diagnostic on it what will it cost? I brought my 2016 grand Cherokee in for service because the a/c worked poorly, I had it serviced 3 times before at another jeep dealer still didn't work properly. I talked to Leo in the service dept and even tho I didn't purchase the vehicle from chapman he treated me like a longtime customer. He put me in a loaner vehicle kept in contact with me during the process and fixed the vehicle correctly the first time. A/C works great, I highly recommend Leo and Jack the service tech that worked on my vehicle.

Hands down the best car buying experience I've ever had. I would recommend Chapman to anyone looking to buy a new vehicle. Erik Knox was my salesman and he was great. Everyone I dealt with was great actually. The process was very direct with none of the back and forth games that I've dealt with from other dealers. This is actually the 2nd vehicle I've bought from Chapman and they have a customer for life.

My husband and I had a 2017 Dodge Charger, we loved the car but have a 3 year old and were in need for something bigger. We had been looking into the 2018 Jeep Grand Cherokee Altitude. We put in an inquiry online and Bobby called us shortly after. We went in the same day and Bobby was actually leaving for the day but had Javier help us and gave us Bobby s card and said if we needed anything to give him a call but we were in good hands with Javier. Javier was fantastic! Our daughter was with us and was being a typical 3 year old and he was patient with us the whole time. Through all the negotiating everyone was very respectful and not pushy at all. They worked with us and we got a great deal on the Jeep. Everyone stayed almost 2 hours past when they closed while we finished paperwork. The detail guy had left already so we were unable to get the car detailed that night but came back the next morning to get the car detailed and they gave us 2 vouchers for free tanks of gas as well for having to drive back. I would 10/10 recommend coming to this dealership! Everyone is super friendly and treats you with respect! This is my husband and I s 4th time buying a new car and this dealership by far was the best! Thank you guys so much!

Michael hu is outstanding. I came here in my work truck after work and several sales men where outside , michael was the only one to approach me and understand what my intrest was and find the right car for me. He took the time to show me several different makes and models and after talking with him i made the correct choice and getting a great deal on an awesome Dodge Charger SXT plus. I highly recommend michael to my friends and family. He is an great assist to Chapman Dodge. I just hope everyone of the other salesman would raise their level of professionalism and attention to detail that he has and taken. Thank you so much michael.

Something is seriously wrong with communication in...

Something is seriously wrong with communication in the service department.

- they canceled my original appointment in September because they didn t have the part (battery)
- no reschedule or follow up
- I attempt to reschedule the following month when a check engine light comes on too but every call went to voicemail and no one returned my voicemails
- finally I get appointment after retrying
- drop car off at 7am and don t get system diagnosis via text at 1pm
- I notice aux battery isn t showing as under warranty
- again unable to reach service advisor and multiple voicemails to talk about diagnosis and that battery is under parts warranty
- service advisor claims he never got my response to the suggested services despite evidence on my phone that it had been received
- service advisor says work will be done by 5
- I call at 5:20 asking if done, he acts clueless and will see if technician can stay late and will call back after I remind him I have car seats in car and daughter has preschool next day
- no word from advisor , daughter misses preschool and I don t hear anything until 11am next day

There were about 10 unanswered calls and multiple broken commitments here. I will not come back despite positive experiences in the past.

Called in the morning to confirm that a vehicle was in stock. Was told it was there and it would be ready for me whenever. So i set up an apt for 3pm. I get there, and start going thru the process. About 45 mins later they are running my credit. Salesman says he will get the car. He walks off, returns 20 mins later with no car. He says another sales person inside had checked out the keys Friday. Turns out, cars already sold. Huge waste of my time. Glad my credit got dinged for that. Try a different dealership, unless you wanna drive a ghost car.

Do not go to this Dodge dealership they will play games watch you and waste your time I was there and spoke with Patrick which is a really good guy my sales guy didn t wanna be bothered with us had an approval from the bank i ve never heard of a dealership say do not waste your time and give them the stipulations because they re not going to approve it when they already have the approval in the system waited three days and now they re saying there was no approval when three people told me that it was approved they play games if you ain t got a 800+ credit score don t waste your time on going there Stay away take your business to somebody that deserves it To put more salt on the wound they pulled hard credit checks twice for no reason and took off 8 to 10 points off of mine and my cousins credit score for no reason
