great place, been going here for a long time alway...
great place, been going here for a long time always recommending products to friends and buying tech goods is simple and easy. Their RMA has always been fast and easy.

i didnt know what monitor i wanted when i walked in, i was served by Thavro, he is very knowledge and made the whole process quick and easy, thank you! will shop again
I live 40 minutes away (I told the guy), I told the guy I had a Mac and wanted to make sure a head set would work with it as specified and he said it would. Drove back for 40minutes and when I got there they checked it and it wasn't Mac compatible. I asked for a roughly $20 mouse pad as an apology for the stuff up, they wouldn't even give a discount
I wouldn't shop anywhere else. Great service and competitive prices. It's a good feeling when you walk in the door and the sales team remember your name. The show room is huge and stocked with everything you can think of. Highly recommend to anyone shopping for computer needs!
My 3 month old MacBook Air stopped booting, after contacting Apple Store support, the Tech I spoke to was amazingly patient walked me through a couple of troubleshooting ideas. When all that failed he recommended that I send it in to be diagnosed by them. I had the AUSPOST box post out t them and returned the box in three days I was told a repaired unit was on its way back to me. Very impressive customer care. I was kept in the loop the entire time. I can't express how valued I felt as a customer with their response. A big thumbs up for sunshine apple store technician and all who I interacted with. Many Thanks!
Tried tracking down a product at my local centre com in Nunawading which was showing low stock, I called to confirm and they were out of stock. I was advised to called Clayton as they may have stock. I gave Clayton a call and was out on hold by a machine and after an extended period of time (20 mins) on a Sunday. I hung up thinking I may have been forgotten about and tried calling again. The number for Clayton will now not connect, disconnecting me immediately. I called the first store again to see if they could contact the store for me. He advised me the phone systems are new and he doesn't have an internal line to the store. After realised this, I have looked at stock at further away store. Sunshine centre com was showing stock so gave them a call and THEIR PHONES ARE OFF TOO. I have spent over 30 mins trying to contact Clayton & sunshine stores. Experiences like this deserve 1 star. Very unprofessional.
Ordered a laptop about three weeks ago, still hasn't arrived. And the ETA was 4/08/20 and its still in the picking phase
Had a fault with a power supply I purchased two years ago. Ian in Sales not only replaced my unit but also was also happy for me to upgrade and order the stock in for me. Amazing service! Would recommend.
Thanks to Justin on the PC support desk for helping me trace the issue with my display today. He ran through the service options then tested everything that he could on the spot. Thankfully this time it was just a connection/port issue. Thanks again.
Can't recommend. Went to collect 3 orders but the guy in charge start to speak aloud and saying things about the policy.... I was in there 10 minutes before click collect open.... very sad.
Warning Roger will lie through his teeth to get money out of you. The most dodgy place to shop.
Purchsed an item on Sunday 6th September and picked it up Monday 7th September. Arrived at 12:10 or so to pick up my item (opens at 12). I was about 5th in line an I wasn't served until 12:50. 40 minutes to serve 4 people?
There should be more than 1 person assisting people with pickup orders if you guys are struggling so much with meeting demand.
Rude costumer service, completely waisted my time going there unhelpful. Would not recommend!!!!!!!
Terrible. Went back twice to get my laptop fixed and both times were handed back to me half complete.
Had to take my laptop to chadstone Apple store to get the problem resolved. I was told by the staff at chadstone that Sunbury had cut corners and not completed the job properly.
From there I had to spend more money at chadstone to get the job done right.
Do not recommend. A problem that was supposed to be fixed in 5 days took almost a month.
Roses are red, violets are blue, Centrecoms Service is atrocious, and they know it too.
On a more serious note, they have the worse customer service and they dont even care that they treat their customers like trash.
Time to drive to msy instead.
They didn't price match lots of shops are using Covid as an excuse, hopefully next visit will be better
Duarte G was very helpful in finding the perfect gaming headset for me and was very co-operative.
Bought my PC here a little while back, and what can I say? Flawless. The staff are super friendly, helpful and nice.
Please note this is a review for the Sunshine Warehouse.
Placed an order last night and an order this morning, not realising that orders on the same day can't be picked up until after 3pm.
I went to the warehouse just after 12pm and the dude working there was happy to pick my 2nd order so that I could avoid an extra trip to Sunshine.
Fantastic, quick service and I couldn't be happier.
Great, honest service. Mark was friendly, professional and super helpful. Thanks so much for sorting out all my phone issues!
Been here many times, more lately while building a pc, was in store and served by Ray, absolutely outstanding customer service and very polite, 100% will be back again!
Great range, most of the guys are helpful, some are just marking time till knockoff time.
I highly doubt that anyone could ever meet a bunch of people more arrogant and unhelpful than the disgraceful lot found at centercom sunshine. If i could rate negative 5 stars i would. A salesperson recommended the gtx 1060 for 4k gaming. Upon finally buying a 4k tv, i cant even run The Witcher 3 when my cpu far exceeds the recommended.
Now im stuck with a graphics card that isnt what i was after and was supposed to be good enough for my needs. I asked if i could return the card and add extra to get the gtx 1080 and he simply said no we cant help you.
Don't dare to slip up in this store ladies and gentlemen because they will be quick to take full advantage.
Ordered removable hard drive over 2 weeks ago and still i have not received my Hdd. i dont mind 1 week delay but 2 weeks and no hdd...i suspect its also Australia post issue as well..
Got all my PC Parts here to build my computer 3 years ago from when I'm writing this. Perfecto!
Worst customer service. I called up to ask a question and the man over the phone was straight up rude and aggressive.
Absolutely the worst shopping experience. Waited over three months for my order to arrive. When I contacted them, the responses were poor excuses and I was told that it would be another week more than once. I am concerned that this is a scam, and that others may never receive products or refunds. Fortunately, I purchased with paypal. Steer clear - as a bonus I got a bargain from the good guys instead!
Really bad customer service. I had to wait around until I approached someone stacking shelves to assist me. Then when he did I had to interrogate him to give me the specs of the products i was looking for. The sales person had no interest in me buying anything from the store. Then he just walked away from.me and left me standing there in the middle of the store to take a call or something and didn't come back. I was about to spend at least $1000. Instead i will go somewhere elsewhere. What these businesses don't understand the prices are the same everywhere, what differentiate you from your competitors is your ability to provide great customer service. A lesson you will pay for and you just did.
I had a couple of bad experiences a few years back so i went elsewhere. then i went back because i had no choice and the guy who helped me out is a top bloke. Anyone wanting top service even if its for a five dollar item then ask for Ray. He will go out of his way to help and is the only reason i use centrecom. most others there treat us like we are idiots.
I recently decide to build my own PC. Choosing Center Com was such an excellent experience that I highly recommend anyone to engage with, if they need any help, repair, or parts to purchase. Their prices were great, and their services were excellent.
Special shout out to Anthony from the repairs shop for helping a layman like myself with putting together a suitable computer. He was extremely patient and very informative.
Walked in looking to buy a pc, asked a salesmen and was told we have it and he walked away with a angry face. Extremely unprofessional as I ve been buying stuff from them for years and never had this issue. I even said to the guy I wanted to have a look before I bought the system. Was never given the chance to look at the system I wanted instead he showed me all the stuff I didn t want. Very rude and unapproachable staff. Will be purchasing from another store until management is improved I m an genuinely disappointed with the current sunshine centrecom staff!!!!!!!!
Terrible customer service, some bloke with a bad hair cut named Andrew does not know how to talk to people, completely rude with an attitude and blunt when asked questions about parts. Tried to be nice as possible but had almost lost my cool, giving it 2 stars because my other time with another guy (forgot his name was pretty good). Inconsistent customer service.
Brought from centre com twice recently. First order went very well, however my most recent order was appalling. Ordered an SSD and a power supply. The SSD was a pre-order and I was willing to wait for it. After a week or two, the SSD was taken down from the site and then a week after that, I received an email stating the item was EOL with no information on how I could amend that (exchange etc). I contacted them to see what was going on and was informed that not only was the ssd EOL but my power supply was as well and I had not been informed. I had no contact from them saying that my order was not achievable for them at the moment. If I didn't call, probably would have kept my money instead of contacting me. I understand that during COVID, there is more traffic on the site and deliveries are delayed but other companies like Scorptec and PC case gear are handling this much much better.
Good range of products and helpful staff. Would recommend Center Com over CPL any day.
After making the trip out to the Sunshine store, I ended up leaving incredibly confused. I knew which laptop I wanted, however I dealt with an overwhelmingly rude and misinformed staff member. This staff member said they had no stock (they did) and that the laptop I want doesn't even exist in the country (it does and they have stock) among other bizarre things.
My experience was so bad that I called the Bendigo store to enquire about the same laptop. They were so helpful that I made the two hour drive from my house to receive 10/10 customer service and would happily make the trip again. I would not have made my laptop purchase through Centrecom had Bendigo staff not handled the situation so well.
Great value for money. Thank you for your prompt and good quality build of my new Mini-ITX PC
I ordered a hard drive and they sent it to me in a graphics card box. A note on it explaining this would be nice. I went through a lot of effort to organise returning it before I decided to take a look inside.
They sold me a prebuilt PC without even testing it. Bought it home, and it would not even turn on.
They tell me I have to send it to warranty for repair instead of just giving me a new working PC.
They never answer their phones, I have to travel 45min each way now to fix their stuff up.
Avoid at all costs, most local pc shops can almost match their prices.
Think twice.
Great customer service! I got my parts from them for my pc build, and I had a problem with it. They diagnosed the problem straight away and replaced the faulty part instantly. Any question I had they answered. Will continue to shop there!
Countinually serving people not wearing masks even though their door policy says otherwise
Update 2/11/2020 Still no update or word from the store. Don't buy from here.
This isn't good enough, Centrecom. Free shipping is great - if the product actually works. My wife's business ordered two laptops, one arrived dead. There has been no contact from staff about the returned laptop. I get that it's a pandemic, but small businesses NEED technology to survive. We have tried calling, emailing and yet no reply. I used to recommend Centrecom to my friends, but clearly its status as a chain store is now working against it. I'll look for other businesses to take my computer needs to in future.
Picked up a order from Sunshine warehouse. They didnt bother cleaning up the dusty packaging.
Went in to help somebody with a part, walked out with my own system. Steven was very helpful and was able to help me sort out my own PC issues.
customer service is hit and miss. there are days you get really arrogant and rude staff and other days you walk out of the place like you just got a good deal. place is well stocked and prices are competitive.
Ordered a $5000 computer through their online store.
-The cabling is very poor, there was little to no effort put into tidying up the cables hidden in the back of the computer.
-When the cpu cooler was installed the tubing was placed over the top of led stripped ram, instead of easily going around it like I managed to do afterwards. This caused one of the ram sticks to have its casing damaged mid transit.
-Led strips that I paid for were placed haphazardly forward facing infront of other parts, which makes them not only not light up the case real well, but are pretty ugly pieces that are meant to be hidden.
-When ordering online the quote for labor was $90, but shortly after making the order (and paying) I received a call telling me that it would be another $60 on top due to the case being complicated. Now by itself this would not be a problem as I get that a case can be hard to cable, but not only is this case a super easy atx set up with straightforward gaps for cables between power and motherboard, but it is also largely tool-less.
These would all be relatively minor issues, except that when combined with a $5000 price tag, I am hard pressed to understand why such lazy attempt was made. I could have done this myself while drunk and it still would have come out better.
TLDR- Price does not feel equal to service.
I went to the sunshine warehouse yesterday. Anyways the website said they had heaps of the type and brand of Hard drives that I wanted. So I went in there and the guy behind the counter went to have a look at what they had in stock, he then started talking to another employee about what they where going to be doing that night, He was talking for what seemed a couple of minutes but I was just standing there listening to them. When he eventually came back he told me I could only had the other/more expencive brand. So I looked on my phone which still showed that they still had everything, including the brand and type I was after! I left the store so disappointed. I wont be going back... The Geelong store is very similar, with arrogant staff and no stock!
Darte was really great with his product knowledge was a fantastic help
Was quoted higher-than-website price for servicing, and was advised that I had seen "the Amercian price" when I questioned the counter clerk. Had the work performed anyway, went home, double-checked website price (I had been correct). When I called to query the discrepancy, I was advised the difference was mark-up. Straight up dishonest business tactics. On the plus side, they weren't busy and the work was performed right away.
Great range. Good value. And like this for many years
Don't bother with click and collect unless you want to dedicate hours of your time standing outside in the cold. Longest line for click and collect in history.
One guy was pretty sick but everyone else was boring
I'd recommend when ordering things online make sure your work schedule doesnt conflict for pick up
paid for a product but i cant pick up from the store
some of us work 12 hours a day and thats the only time the warehouse is open.
will contact them on monday to see if theres a work around.
I recently fot my mac repaired at the apple part of centrecom sunshine! The service was quick, they gave me good advice and now my mac is working amazing!
Very happy with the efficient service. Also much quicker than going into an Apple store.
crazy discounted products and great customer service online :)
Don t recommend buying from centrecom I brought a $249 keyboard and i accidentally brought the wrong colour key caps and they won t let me exchange because I opened it so how am I supposed to see what it does well it s in the box still
Every experience at sunshine has been terrible customer service is non existent. I waited 2 hours in line just to be told that they can t help me with my pc even though we called them and told us to bring it in they then told us we didn t have to bring my pc only the faulty item so they made us take our ram out and wait in line all over again
The most unprofessional business I have ever encountered. Had to return to the store on five separate occasions due to a faulty display port cable. Beware these guys will rob you blind and screw you over selling their dodgy products.
Try to charge me $80 just open my macbook up. Went to Apple HP and they did it for free LOL
Some of the worst customer service I've ever experienced from any store/company I've ever dealt with. Not sure how this business stays afloat. One star from me!
Great service and pricing. I normally deal with Ray or Ian who are always happy to help.
First time ordering from here. Bought a computer and wireless car charger. They sent the wrong items and then the computer didn't connect to display. I called over the phone and they played tag team sending my call from operator to operator. Once I asked for a refund and left a negative review the owner told me to delete my review and he will process the refund. It's been two weeks and heard nothing after I deleted the review. Horrible service and would never buy here again.
There was a massive que, we did not want to wait 1hr and 40 minutes, so we left without buying, a long time before we got close to the front of the que.
Only do click & collect if you like wasting 1.5 hours of your life! The queue was short but their process of sorting each person was painfully slow! It's like nothing is ready to be collected, and they casually go back into the shop and collect items that are on the shop floor
Had to cancel my order because the product I ordered was out of stock. 3 days and still no refund. They even charge you handling fee for paypal. Avoid at all costs. It takes not more than a minute to refund from their paypal account.
Good store but a little extreme with the covid 19 measures.
Would not recommend at all! Had my PC fixed at the repair centre earlier this year and now there is the same fault with the computer. This is the second time that I am having to go and take it to be repaired. And mind you they charge $55 diagnosis fee which has added up for me $110 for the two repairs. They take a long time to finish the job too. It took them 3 weeks to repair mine and they said it would only take a few days.
Prompt and professional service and good product range.
Came in today purchased a monitor then went too look at ram but we were told we can't "browse" then asked to leave rudley horrible customer service wouldn't recommend to anyone
good experience while buying new laptop. laptop had a manufacturing issue, got it replaced very easily.
Replaced my faulty monitor (which died the day after I bought it) after the service team had checked it wasn't user error. Lent me a monitor in the interim so I could continue to use my PC.
Waited an hr in line to be served. Found order on system, but spent another 15 mins looking and still cannot find. As there was a long queue behind me, i told them to get it ready and ring me. Waited until the next day still no call. Very poor management!!!
This place is lucky to even get one star, walked in to buy some ram to support my build I spent about 5k on with them, however the store manager looked at me like I m some animal and asked me to leave when they still had an hour to close then followed me and the group I was with out. Taking my business with MSY from now on. Appalling customer service.
Had the absolute best salesman help me out today! He was not pushy at all and gave me all the information/time I needed to make an urgent purchase. Go here anytime I need parts for my PC, great range available. Thank you!
I was served by Anthony who gave me phenomenal customer service regarding my ASUS ROG 2080Ti OC 11GB GPU's serious coil whine. Which I had purchased from the store just over a week before.
He promptly tested my card and determined it faulty, replacing it immediately with a new card. Understanding my hesitations he tested the new GPU, after his shift had ended, to ensure it too did not have coil whine as well.
Could not fault the service, 10/10 would recommend to anyone.
Terrible communication with their online customers.
They couldn't find my computer's problem and they also lied straight to my face in short.
It all began when I rang up to describe my computer's problem to Allen at Centre Com Sunshine. I told him my pc has been getting a blue screen after about 30 minutes of gaming then a restart and everything is all good again. He said bring it in, 100% it's a windows issue. It costed $90 for a windows reinstall and driver wipe. I rang two days later after dropping it off to see what the progress was. Allen told me on the phone I should have been called yesterday. Anyhow I go there to collect my pc and he said the pc is all good now. I then queried Allen on why I wasn't called, he has the cheek to say to me "we called you but no one picked up" I then said I return any missed calls and I hadn't received a missed call from them. He then says "we tried to leave a message but your voicemail isn't activated". My voicemail has been working on that phone for over 5 years. There's not much worse you can do to a paying customer than lie straight to their face. Instead of fessing up a small error in relation to not calling me, to cover his mistake he lies to me and then continues to run with it. What an insult that is, for him to think I will actually believe such a lie is actually astounding.
Moving on, I take the pc back home and I tested the pc again by gaming to see if it would blue screen, it did. I rang up after it and queried Allen as to why it was still getting a blue screen, he proceeded to quickly google the issue and found a thread of some random person having a similar issue essentially saying that is just how it is. As if I hadn't taken the initiative to google my issue prior to ever dropping my pc off at their service centre or anything. I brought it in again to fix the issue once more and I suggested that a hardware diagnostics test should be run because Allen couldn't come up with anything. $75 cost by the way. I left it there on a Friday just to get it out of the way, Allen quoted me that by the following Thursday it should be ready and then I asked him when I should call just to check it's progress and he says if we don't ring by Friday call us.
After this conversation that was the last I heard of or saw Allen. Another employee by the name of Justin rings me in the early afternoon on Monday to let me know the pc is ready and everything is fixed. I promptly went to the service centre and he said it needed a bios update and new thermal paste for the cpu. Instead of charging $75 he charged me $45, sus huh? Anyway after taking it home again I still got a blue screen. I rang the next day and he said you can bring it in if you want. I brought it in and I had him try and figure out the problem there because it was obvious they hadn't actually physically taken out the GPU and swapped it for another or anything to actually diagnose the system's issue as that's what I asked him to do when I was there on the Tuesday. My feeling is that they just ran it through programs to stress test it, that's it. Not actually swap out parts and so on to check for faulty hardware. Funnily enough the GPU works fine and all so I then suggested maybe it's best to upgrade to windows 10 see if that fixes it. I then took it home to upgrade it and I still got the blue screen. Now after leaving that was the last I have been there or talked to them. I figured out my own issue and they never even had a clue. My pc only blue screens when I run two monitors, something they never bothered to ask me about. They never fully investigated the issue at hand. In reality they should be asking all these questions about the system, the only question they ever asked was are you overclocking, which I wasn't.
In conclusion, I figured out my pc's issue even though on their site they claim they can fix all issues, BSOD's etc. If you can't fix it don't lead the customer on. They have no love for what they're doing. I'll never go back and those who know me know of my story. Such a negative experience, lied to and issue was not fixed by them.
Great products, assistance and prices. ASUS laptops are very robust.
The Staff are very nice and knowledgeable, I had an issue with my product and went back to store, Kinda my fault but the manager Denis offer best of class customer service, exchanged it no problem asked. He even call me to help during installation after I back home. Good work Centrecom!
If being able to call somewhere is important, try to do this before purchase. I have raised a ticket with no response still.
