I have been using Centre Com Sunshine store for the past 8 years, had 2 computers built, multiple hardware purchases and multiple services. On every occasion the service was spectacular in their tech team - to the extent they have fixed small issues for free on more than half a dozen occasions. I mean, these guys are awesome, but that's it, just the tech team. To be clear, this review is about the tech team, the warning about the rest follows.

- 10 for online team: this is absolutely not the case for their website. Here are the hoops for anyone who dares:
1. add to cart;
2. register - clears cart;
3. add to cart again;
4. add credit card details;
4. verify cerdit card? must go to bank and check your statement, then document the amount withdrawn, then insert into a field on their website;
5. website does nothing;
6. call to ask if order was processed?
7. confirmed processed - Yea!
8. receive email stating order is on hold (after payment) because you may have used a VPN service! What the?
9. Call 'online team' 3 times who is also their billing team - apprantly;
10. they inform is not on hold, but have no need to tell you;
11. 'online team' say, we only sell in Australia so are trying to stop fraud?

Hmmm, fraud? What the... and the attitude... Indeed.

So, all in all - Centre com are trying to not sell via their website.

I'll possibly go to the tech team again, nobody else in that place.

my MSI GPU recently dead on me even when it's 2 month old i when to the sunshine centrecom (where i got it from) and they said they need to send it back to msi to get it fix..... i ask for my RMA number so i can check it on msi website but the number they given me wasn't working and it's the exact same number what they have ( i don't think they actually did send it back to MSI because the RMA should of work on the MSI website to check your repair state ) also they said i have to pay a fee to get it fix and it's not coven by warranty (but it actually is because my friend had the exact same problem as me but he bought his from MSY and the people their just replace his on the spot also he didn't had to pay anything.........) (Their is NO PHYSICAL DAMAGE on my GPU)

Extremely poor customer service at the service cen...

Extremely poor customer service at the service centre. Had major issues returning an ultra wide monitor that was purchased that day. They never had a display model so wasn't able to see the issue in store until I brought it home and tested. I was happy to upgrade to a 'curved' screen however service manager made a huge argument and demanded re-stocking fees. You would never have this kind of poor customer service experience at JB-HiFi, Officeworks or HarveyNorman. Centre Com will never get my business again. Not only is it a dodgy looking place but also terrible customer service!

I've given them enough time to course correct on this current customer service experience but they've done nothing so time to review. I pre-ordered a motherboard and was required to pay in full via bank transfer but then had a fortunate fast arrival on some other components from Amazon. I decided to then change my order with Centre Com to grab a more expensive motherboard that was in stock as well as a CPU which was listed at a really good price and with free shipping.

I contact them by email to query what I should do but instead of answering my question allowing me to make a decision they decided to do that for me AND to up the price of the CPU from what it was listed on the website. I found this a bit of a shock and an odd time to try and price gouge me since I was upping my total spend with them so decided this was not a business to be dealing with. I cancelled my order and requested a refund and then ordered the parts elsewhere. This is when the communication from them slowed down to non-existent. They sent out shipping notices and an invoice all of which I had to follow up to remind them I was cancelling and I didn t want to have to ship back items I didn t order. Then I get marketing from them which had the CPU at the original price rather than the increased one the sales guy spat at me with no reasoning via email and in the invoice.

I am still, weeks later waiting for my money to be returned. They aren t communicating, they aren t providing any reasons for their behaviour and at the stage they ve stolen $300 from me which I kind of need right now.
Don t do business with these guys. Don t be fooled by the free shipping and spend the extra $10-$20 for the peace of mind with Scorptec, Umart, PC-Byte or any other IT retailer. Read the reviews here and decide if it s worth being in the position of many, many others who have dealt with them. They just don t care about customer service and I d say it s pretty damn important.

The service centre is so hard to find, a hole in the wall but thats not why I give it one star. I bought an expensive gaming laptop and it froze over and over the first day I got it. The service centre never answers their phone so it took me a week to get on to them. I had to call over 20 times a day in a row to even get someone to answer. I was greeted with an annoyed voice at the end of the line. Told to bring my laptop in and they would wipe it and re download windows. They told me this would take 24 hrs. Over a week later and no one answering the phone for days I finally got on to them and was told it will be ready in a few days. The staff are so rude and make you feel like you're annoying them. I would never buy from here again. As a gamer and a videographer I need a reliable computer and will shop elsewhere from now on.

Ordered a monitor online, firstly i never received a confirmation email of any of my details, i placed the order on the 28th of May which i was supposed to pick up monitor on the 11th of June. Came to the 14th of june we still hadnt heard from centrecom, so i tried to get in contact with the store call multiple times throughout the day even had 3 different people calling and still no answer, called the next day and next ended up calling maybe 60 times, tried to avoid driving down as its a fair drive. I ended up calling the clayton store which they had answered to the first call. Great bloke named Daniel answered was very helpful, he looked up out order found out it had was delay for a long while without a date. Assisted us with finding a new monitor finding everything we wanted making sure we werent disappointed. Time went on and we still couldnt get a hold of centrecom so we decided a month later on the 28th of june to drive down and find out whats going on. I spoke to the first person who said no we dont have your order so i started to leave then a second man came out and asked for the number and straight away knew the order was there even said it had been there for a while. On the box it says the order was picked on the 1st on june so not sure why its the 28th of june and we still werent notified. Point of the story is travel that little bit further to go to the clayton store where you get perfect service and wont be disappointed.

Do not buy from this company. Sold me several items, informed me they were in stock & being picked for delivery. Then emailed me & cancelled the purchase. 2 weeks later I finally received a refund after raising a Paypal dispute no comment, no apology. Customer service is non-existent. Pay a bit more & buy elsewhere, you will regret dealing with these people. I did.

Such a horrific experience, I simply asked for a better price on a headset and got shut down immediately, in the most rude way possible. Customer service was poor, the particular individual was extremely rude and had no time to speak to me. Ive never been to any store In Melbourne and received such poor service. I m in the HR industry myself and I struggle to understand how that retail assistant got hired in the first place. EVERYONE DO NOT GO TO THIS STORE, I wanted to ask questions and seek guidance during my purchases. The sales assistant met my questions with snarky, derogatory comments. No one came over and offered to help, and only spoke to me reluctantly when I approached them. JUST stood behind the counter and did nothing. I ll never go here again. Absolutely worth the drive to the Clayton store, the staff are extremely friendly and gave me such a great deal.

I would award Centre Com Sunshine zero stars if I could.

My experience with this company has been atrocious. I ordered a computer from their website to be delivered to Brisbane. Estimated arrival time was one week. It took a little over three weeks. The computer was mishandled by Auspost several times and no one could find it hence the delay. I understand this is not Centre Com's fault however when I contacted the company concerned and seeking a resolution, I received very little help. The customer service department is absolutely shocking, have no people skills or empathy and did the absolute bare minimum in my aid. 10/10 do not recommend.

Went and bought some PC parts, and I have to say that the customer service are great there (Only been to Sunshine, don't know about the rest). I also ended up having a 15 minute long conversation to one of the workers and ended up talking about alot of Gaming parts and advice. Great service and also one of the lowest prices in parts you can find in Australia.

I bought an SSD and chose the free Aus Post delivery option from Sunshine. I still have not received the item after a week including the tracking number, they are not answering my calls and my ticket email to get a refund. The worst computer hardware supplier ever!! Never going to buy from centrecom again! Thought I could get the SSD which was cheaper at centrecom than the one at Scorptec. Guess i got scammed instead! Never shopping at Centrecom again! Rubbish

These guys are professional, fast and very afforda...

These guys are professional, fast and very affordable.
I d knocked over my pc and took it in to get checked and the lads were kind enough to install a wifi and a Bluetooth chip while checking it out.
Hard to find a genuine pc repair store for this good of a price.

Wasn't sure if it was my laptop or the power source at fault so I took it in and explained that I needed to try a new power source on it. They had no hesitation to open a new 1 from its bag and try it. It WAS the problem. Therefore I am a happy camper now.

My first and only experience at the Sunshine store was fantastic! Michelle was very personable and showed great expertise when responding to my queries. Despite being the Christmas period, she was in high spirits and incredibly great to deal with. I would definitely recommend this store. Thanks heaps Michelle! Very happy with my purchases!!

Had computer parts purchased here, assembled my computer for me which took 2 days and it works perfectly with no issues at all. Sell great range of products for good price. Staff are all very knowledgeable on parts and will assist you on what to purchase depending on what you are looking for your PC to do.

Came here to buy something which they advised me they had on the phone but when i got there they didn't have it. Great selection of products and good prices on things on special offer. Staff were nice and helpful. Would recommend them if you want to be able to browse products and talk to the staff, which I haven't been able to do at other computer stores.
Reduced rating as an item I purchased was faulty and I had to drive there once to give it back and then drive there again 2 weeks later to get the refund I should have been given straight away. The 3 round trips for a $90 item is a huge waste of my time.

Wish I had of read the reviews for this place before I took my I phone in to be repaired! Made me wait 2 days then said I needed to wait another day because the part they ordered was faulty. I seriously think these guys are backyard warriors that google how to fix apple products. DO NOT take any product to these guys! By the way Highpoint Apple store fixed it in an hour.

Phone service is closed down due to covid which is understandable, but their ticket or email service is horrible. It takes them about a week or more to reply

They sent me a faulty Ryzen 5 3600 and they fobbed me of the manufacturer. Sure they are legally allowed to do that, however I demanded for a a refund or placement and they ignored my email LMAO. They do don't like to take responsibility for anything and will ignore you if you inconvenience them in anyway.

Had two very different Mac issues - one of which the battery and HD died and the other spilt a coffee into the laptop. Both issues were resolved within a week with great communication from the team in the Apple centre. One issue was not fully resolved on first pickup but the team were happy to jump back on it and look at what was missed and resolved over night. Really happy with effort here.

Amazing service for MacBooks and iMacs.

Amazing service for MacBooks and iMacs.
Highpoint was booked out for a week, couldn't get to see them.
Walked into the Apple service centre in sunshine with no booking and they helped me get my MacBook pro fixed within a few days. They have a labour tier here, but well worth the express service they provide.
Best thing is that the service team is small, so you can talk to the same people most of the time and the technicians themselves.

Really great people and more personal than the other places.

For starters i am giving them 4 stars instead of 5 as due to covid restrictions it probably restricted them on doing their job 100%.
I used their online click and collect. I had a few issues with products as i think as they sat in my cart they went out of stock. So a few phone calls (Yes their were delays and they probably got slammed as soon as they opened) but they were able to sort it all out and pick up was a breeze. no line and very friendly appreciative staff . Great work in uncertain times.

Extremely poor customer service.
Order was placed 9th of may with 2 items on pre-order (4 items in total). Their website states that items in stock are allocated to an order even if their status changes to "out of stock" at a later date. I find out almost 4 weeks later that none of my items were allocated, and now that one of the original pre-ordered items are in stock (and running low in stock), the original items that were in stock at the time of order are now sold out. When calling to enquire about this, their customer service team tells me that items held to an order are redistributed after 2 weeks so they can make sales on other orders. Absolutely selfish and poor customer service. At this rate my order would never be fulfilled because this there would be a never ending rotation of items being in and out of stock within my order.
Centre com, you should not be accepting a payment transaction if you're not going to honour it by allocating items in stock to orders that have been placed.

After a month and a half, and many many many emails later to explain to different staff about what happened, an employee on the sales team contacted me and issued a full refund.

Worst customer experience ever! I've bought a $2000 GPU, some RAMs, and some SSDs from the store in the past. Recently, I needed a DDR3 RAM, but mistakenly placed an order for a DDR4 RAM through the online store. I noticed the mistake immediately after finalising payment. So, I drove to the store to let the employees know. I bought the correct DDR3 version instead and was advised that I would receive a full refund for the DDR4 RAM in 14 days automatically as long as I don't pick up the order. So, I waited for over a month, but I have not received the refund yet. I contacted the warranty team as advised, emailed them the receipt from the store, and the order info from the online store to follow up, but they refused to refund my order, and insisted to charge a 25% restocking fee. This is unacceptable! They agreed to issue me a full refund when I was about to spend more money in the store and reneged on their words immediately after. I feel duped... Don't buy from these dishonest people.

Warranty service is unprofessional, slow and don't follow consumer law. This is not to mention the poor quality PC building service. No testing of the build before shipping causing hassles and avoidable returns.

Centre Com has nice employees and support you without asking, When I decided to buy a computer they recommend me an another PC which had a better GPU and a slight down-graded CPU because I played more GPU based game and to this and and this review I have the same PC.

horrible service- Would give zero stars if I could. Went in for a phone battery replacement. Booked online thru Apple, then called store to confirm it would take 1hr. Structured the rest of my day around that. When I dropped off the phone they said 4 hours.
Whats the point of having an online booking service with scheduled times if you cant stick to it? Storepersons response was "go to Apple Highpoint". Well maybe well all should and this crowd can close their doors.

Purchased a custom build on 17/01, the guy who serve me was very friendly. and they allow me to bring my own graphic card and CPU cooler for the build.

Also within 2 days, i have call them twice and request to make some parts change for the custom build(want a different Case and want to add a new CPU Cooler), and they were letting me do it. very happy with them.

Store in itself have lot of products you can use. But return policy is not the best thing. So i go for 3 stars. I spend abt 3-4k on gaming pc bt still they take extra 100$ on top of new GPU price, when i go to swap my gtx 1070(brand new) with 1080ti.

Don t buy from here unless you want the most unprofessional communication money can buy. Sales reps think they re smart, I spent $600 here and was treated like dirt. I felt so uncomfortable dealing with the customer service representatives, they were so rude and just downright unpleasant. Would never go here EVER again. Don t know how this place is still even running. Owner! Do a favour and train your staff to be KIND PEOPLE.

Last time I bought a computer here everything was great, so encouraged my son to get his gaming laptop here as well. Buying it online and pickup went well but when it stopped working after a week there is no one to call and responses online are slow and inadequate, so left with an expensive, non functioning laptop and no one will respond my call. Lesson, never buy something from someone who doesn t have a phone contact ... and COVID is no excuse for that, everyone else has a support line

I have been going to Centrecom for years, purchase...

I have been going to Centrecom for years, purchased many systems and laptops for business and private use. Have always had a great experience in the store and they are always keen to help out.
I usually visit with my younger son who also loves computers and all things gaming and their Staff member Ian went out of his way to help my son select appropriate equipment for his setup.
I always get 1st class service when in the retail area and all my questions are answered in english not computer speak.
I highly recommend Ian and the guys at Centrecom for all your needs!!!!

I came in with a macbook os issue. I was weary of bringing my laptop here as there was no reviews for their apple repair/reseller store. I was greeted and helped by Dom. He was empathetic to my issues and helped me to attempt to do this myself to avoid having to pay for their labour charges for them to do this. I imagine the genius bar would not be so kind. I couldn't recommend more bringing your apple products here. Exceptional service by Daniel's staff.

very bad experience .... got a high end pc assembl...

very bad experience .... got a high end pc assembled from them... price they charged and parts they used to built it are of very low quality. power supply gone in first 3 mths got it replaced now the pc is noisy. a friend got same configuration from harvey norman at much much lesser price and still works in great condition. obviously the techs are good at centrecom they know how to use low grade quality products and charge for high grade. will never buy anything from them nor will i recommend my friends.

DONT EVER THINK OF BUILDING A PC WITH THESE GUYS EVER. Had my pc built there in late 2016 and have now had TO PUT IT IN FOR REPAIRS FOR THE THRID TIME. Spoke to the guys on the phone about my issue and they said just book it in for repair. Basically treated as if it was nothing that a person who spent a couple of thousand on a pc had had the same problem for the THRID TIME. Mind you they take ages to repair the pcs too had mine in for over 3 weeks. When I went to get it fixed the second time they still asked me to pay for repair even though it was the same problem they should of fixed in the first place. PLEASE STAY AWAY FROM CENTRECOM AS YOU WILL HAVE COUNTLESS PROBLEMS with not only there pc building but custom service!
