Carman Ford Review

Carman Ford makes buying a car or truck easy! They offer a large inventory of new and used vehicles, and if they don't have it on their lot they will have it there within a couple of days. Greg Grimaldi was who I worked with the most, and he really did everything he could to make this experience the best it could possibly be. Great people, great atmosphere, and a great dealership that offers everything you need to find YOUR car or truck and to keep it running! I would not send anyone to any other dealership, it was well worth the drive from West Chester, PA.

My family and I were looking for a second vehicle and we stopped at Carman Ford Lincoln. While we were there we were greeted by Greg. Greg made the whole process of purchasing a vehicle so great. He treated my family and I with such good care. He answered all of our questions and was very informative. He treated us like family and listened to all of our needs. We left Carman Ford Lincoln with a brand new SUV that we love.

Dan Shine was very friendly and low key (no pressure); he helped me decide on the vehicle I wanted. Greg Grimaldi made my first car buying experience smooth sailing. Any questions that I had they were answered and more. I believe that between Greg and Mike Sipala I got the best deal possible! Went there looking for a Ford Fusion I had agreed to run my credit then they sent me home minutes later after pulling my credit and told me they will update me.. Never got an update I had to message the salesperson I originally had an appointment with that wasn t there to get an update and he told me that I did need a cosigner... why couldn t they just tell me then and there not send me home and never get an update...

Excellent! I drove from Virginia to see a particular 4-door Wrangler that Carman had. When I arrived the Jeep was parked up front. I met Scott and was able to test drive the Jeep immediately, while they assessed my trade. They gave me a great price in my trade and I purchased the Jeep that day. Scott was very knowledgeable, but never pushy. Carman was also fantastic when dealing with my out of state plates. They Fed Ex'd them to my home in Virginia.

My wife and I DREAD shopping for a vehicle. My wife wanted a "new" vehicle, and had been looking at the Escape. We are friends with Scott Henning, so we went to Carman. Scott was already with someone so we told the sales people we would wait. We were approached by Ken Chin who told us Scott would be tied up for some time as he was selling a vehicle. Anguished we were now going to get the run around, we cautiously went with Ken. We picked out a Certified Pre Owned 2013 Escape. Ken assured us Scott would get credit. We were there for 7 hours. BUT not because of the standard run around we were expecting. They sold 3-4 vehicles since we had gotten there and now it was time for the 4-5th. Ken went over all the vehicles options, answered ANY question we had. We took it for a test ride. Ken then proceeded to find out what we were comfortable paying. Bob Carty is not your typical GM he was low pressure and extremely down to earth, he listened to what Ken told him we wanted, THEN gave an excellent price. Our trade which we bought from their Dodge showroom was paid off, and the deal was done. Then the next thing we dreaded the Business Manager. Dan Miller was just as nice as the rest of the people we had dealt with earlier, He answered all of our questions and assured us what he was saying was what was going to happen. I would highly recommend Carman, they are NOT your typical car dealership.

After 3 months of dealing with a tire issue on my Ford Edge that 5 different local auto shops could not manage to fix, I finally decided to try out the Carman Ford dealership. I could not have been happier with my decision and only regret not coming to them sooner. Their customer service is top notch, from technicians coming directly to your car when you pull up to the friendly courtesy shuttle drivers. After their team repaired my tire issue, I did notice an unusual sound and brought it back to be checked out again. The service team was very gracious in taking a second look, then took care of the problem within half a day and with absolutely no hassle. It is readily evident that the service department takes great pride in their work and have their customers' best interests at heart. Carman Ford has certainly won a loyal customer in myself and I would strongly recommend them as your first stop for any Ford service needed in the New Castle area!

I had a great experience with Dan Shine at Carmen Ford Lincoln. I have leased a 2015 MKC which I love. Every question I had for Dan about the car or the lease ,anything at all he had the answers for me.
I even had to call Dan from the road after I had the car and he was able to help me with my situation about something on the interior of the car .From the time I walked into Carmen till the time I drove off in the MKC I felt like I had known Dan for a long time.
Great guy and extremely knowledgeable on all aspects of his job. When my 3 year lease is up I will go back to Carmen and see Dan Shine.

It was touch and go in beginning. Daniel and I resolved all issues. It was out of his hand, but he kept on the hunt until he got his mission completed. over all I would use him as my sales person.

I am so pleased with the Sales Representative (Gary Santora) who really knew his "stuff." Gary was knowledgeable, efficient, friendly and amazingly patient since I couldn't make up my mind which car I wanted. I ended up buying a Ford Fusion. I was trading the same car in, and love the Fusions. My absolute favorite car. I am recommending Gary and Carmen Ford to everyone and would absolutely return to do business there, again.

I take back my original review. After calling and explaining what happened, management did everything they could to accommodate my bad experience. I appreciated that and how well they did on fixing my car. My bad experience was with one of the Geico employees while getting my car fixed. She was so rude to me it was unbelievable that she even had a job in customer service. Basically she immediately gave me an attitude, because I came to pick up my car when the app said it would be ready and she swears she told me she would call when it s done. So I gave her an attitude right back and she actually argued with me! She should be fired for how she treated me, especially because she threatened to do something to my car. It made me so uncomfortable that even though management made sure my car was not damaged and well taken care of, I would still never go back here just for the sole fact that she still works there after what she did. I will tell people about my experience with her if anyone asks me about this place. I will mention how everyone else that works there is extremely kind and hard working, but that they should avoid her at all costs, because the second you have a problem, she will blame you for her mistakes and threaten you! All in all they did a great job on my car, I can no longer see where there was damage and one of the employees actually tried to fix unrelated damage for me when I mentioned I didn t know what to do about it. They also put air in my tire that was low and washed my car (it looks like they waxed it too, this is the cleanest the car has ever been! I m your typical woman when it comes to cleaning my car, I don t). The behind the scenes employees are probably the ones who should be working the customer service roles if you ask me. They deserve the most credit for their hard work and dedication.

Geico employee: I ll update her name when I have a chance. Here s a description of her: Short (so short it looks like a man s haircut) blonde hair, she s probably about 5 4 . Her desk is right next to Enterprise. Not sure if she s the only Geico employee there. She s there on weekdays.

I recently had to purchase a car very quickly at a time that was not planned. The folks are Carman are great - no pressure buying and definitely the best prices around. They have really good options, the finance people are wonderful to work with and my salesperson, Gary, was great about communicating and getting me information I needed in a moment's notice. This is the second experience I've had buying a vehicle at Carman and each time has been top notch!

We were in the market for a used car for my wife s brother and we found one here. We had the intention of looking at cars at two different places but our salesman JMac did a great job at showing us a comparable car to the other dealership with less miles at a very good price. We ended up just looking at his dealership and made the deal with him. Great experience and would come back.

Such a great experience my husband and I both had. We were out looking for a truck for my husband because his vehicle was totaled in an accident. We didn t think going out on a Friday night any dealerships would be open. I decided as a last stop at carman ford since I had bought my Jeep from carman dodge a few years back. The sales rep and the used car manager were excellent. If it wasn t for Mike giving us a discount we wouldn t have been able to afford the truck my husband got. We LOVE the F-150 Lariat we purchased. It was certified, low miles, and in excellent condition for a 2015. The ride is so smooth you don t even realize your in a truck. We ve gotten so many compliments. So far my experience has been horrible with the Service Department. I took my Escape (which I bought there) and I had been waiting on a part for over a month and calling for updates since nobody cares to call back ( the part was supposed to be in by Jun 1st and then Jun 20th no courtesy call for an updates) I have no other vehicle and the rental is costing me a fortune. I just want my car fix as quick as possible.

The dealership is not a bunch of pushy sales people. They have always been there to educate you in what you re looking for and making sure that not only is it the best financial fit, but the right vehicle for you.
Gary, my salesperson, found me the exact car that I wanted. Was diligent with communication and showing and explaining the newer options in car.

Bait and switch. Two+ years ago, I was in desperate need of a vehicle with poor credit. Was approved a few places, but ended up at carman. After telling the salesman over and over for 3+ hours i needed to stay under $10,000, the 1st car i was shown was $15,000 and i told him it was his 1 and only strike UNDER $10,000, and he was very nice and said ok. After about 15 or so vehicles, all under my price, they were no vehicles I liked. On my way out he said, oh wait, this truck just cam in. I said as long as it is under $10,000 we are good, and he said yeah sure, no problem. I came in as they opened the next day, and got dropped off, and as soon as my ride left, the guy handed me the $14,000 paperwork. Long story short, because i NEEDED a vehicle by monday, and this was saturday, i took it. The manager said to be fair he would take off $1,000. Now, 2+ years later, after calling, writing, and e-mailing to stop the e-mails and flyers, THEY NEVER STOP! At least 2 per month, sometimes many more. SO, with the bait and switch and the harassing NEVER ENDING flyers, ill be shopping elsewhere from now on.

But to be fair, everyone was very nice........

I stopped by Carman Ford today (10-05-2016) and was greeted by salesmen Mr Mark Zambrana as I pulled up. We shook hands and started talking about my favored subject, "Ford Trucks". Mr Zambrana made my day at Carman Ford, a very enjoyable one. He took the time to make sure that I was comfortable and clear on the answers to my questions about a F-250 Super Duty. After a walk around and test drive, I was sold on the truck, because of the character of a "Good Salesmen"!!!! I purchased a 2015 Ford Explorer and had a Great car buying experience. Everyone was extremely helpful and made the decision very easy. I'll be sure to purchase all my cars in the future from Carman.

I can't speak to their sales department but their service department isn't great. They are nice and polite mostly but it takes days or weeks to get an appointment. I had an appointment for 930 am today. It's 11 am and they still haven't looked at it. They wouldn't give me a loaner car and I had to wait over an hour for the courtesy shuttle to pick me up. This place isn't big enough to service the area. They should have more loaner cars or more shuttle cars. And more service technicians because they over book constantly.

I would just like to thank our salesman JJ from Carman for taking time to help me find the exact car I was looking for. He answered all questions- very personable and delivered the vehicle immediately. I've already sent a friend to him and I HIGHLY recommend taking a trip over to this dealership and asking for JJ. Worst Salesman of the year award goes to Mike Edmunds!. His people skills are horrible. We would call him about a car we test drove he never called back, we would call again, he again never called back, we call for a manager David Phillips to return our phone call, no call back. Finally call another manager Todd leaving a message and also speaking to another salesman Nick to referred us back to Mike Edmunds apparently, because Mike calls us back FINALLY, just to argue about how he tried multiple times to call us and we never called him back. This guy is unbelievable!. We NEVER had a manager call us or seem to care. I wouldn't recommend this dealership for anything, useless you absolutely have too go. If you do avoid Mike at alllllll costs.

We looked at 15 different SUV and were drawn back to the Lincoln MKX. Our experience with Carman ford and our salesman Greg was the best.

Absolutely the best car buying experience we've had. From Gary Santora our sales consultant, to Frank Azan and Dan Giacchino the sales managers, to Erwin Lee the finance manager, our experience was 5 star. We will definitely return for our next new Lincoln!

I came by last Friday, Aug 24 just to pick up a brochure on the MKZ. Ardrea Lowe came to greet me as I walked in the door. I asked what the sign noting the "10 foot rule" on the door meant and she told me that anytime a customer was within 10 feet of a salesperson, the salesperson was to greet them. I told her I was after an MKZ brochure. I have a friend who just bought one and I was very impressed with it when I rode in it. She showed me the MKZs you had and I was instantly smitten with a leftover 2014 Tuxedo Black Metallic MKZ hybrid with a Light Dune Leather interior that was on the show room floor. After she and I talked about the MKZ, she took me over to look at the 2015 Mustang--a very nice car. But I was wanting a 4-door (and after all at 70-plus I'm more into a MKZ than a Mustang. I left but contacted your dealership through the internet on Saturday and in follow-up calls arranged to be picked up for a visit to your dealership on Monday (May 27). I needed transportation because I am in chemotherapy for cancer and am not allowed to drive. Andrea arrived promptly on Monday and I gave her a tour of my room here at the Brookdale Assisted Living facility in Hockessin. (She can tell you about the uniqueness of my room.) We arrived at your showroom and it quickly evolved that I was truly interested in the MKZ I had seen on Friday. One thing quickly led to another and she obtained a price for me to consider from Frank. While waiting for Andrea to return, the founder, Mr. Carmen approached and we spoke briefly. I was very impressed to learn his age and his continued attendance at your showroom from Andrea. I immediately accepted the offer that Andrea gave me (More than $4,000 under the list price).. I also requested installation of a back-up (rear-view) camera as that was not standard on the 2014 MKZs. I also agreed to get the protective exterior paint and interior treatment that was offered. And of course, I liked the 0% interest offer that Lincoln Financial had for left-over 2014 models. I put down a deposit on the car contingent on learning the results of a CAT scan I had on Friday of my cancerous tumor.

Unfortunately the results of the CAT scan were quite confounding. The cancerous tumor was shrinking, but a new 3-inch long tumor had appeared in my liver that was not present in the prior CAT scan taken just two months earlier. Sadly and with deep regret, I had to exercise my contingency and cancel my purchase order as the future for me has become uncertain. I will have a biopsy in several weeks to learn if the new tumor is also cancerous (which I praying is not the case-and Andrea is too).

The bottom line to this review is that Andrea was very helpful, thoughtful during my time in your dealership on Monday and understanding when I called today to cancel. I appreciated her low-key, but encouraging approach and interaction with me and at no time did I feel undue or unreasonable pressure from her to buy. (Note: I was putting that pressure on myself because I really wanted that car.) I think that Andrea would agree that I was a pretty easy sale--particularly if I could have followed through as I wanted to. She will also tell you that I was very attentive to detail--even pointing out what I thought I a mistake in the 2015 MKZ brochure which on the standard feature page under Interior Features notes that the Auto-dimming rear-view mirror is a standard feature on the 2015 MKZ. On the next page under the list of Interior accessories it lists the Auto-dimming rear view mirror as an option. That appears to be a mistake that was not caught in printing the brochure.

The bottom line is that if the tumor in my liver turns out not to be cancerous and that the cancer for which I am being treated is cured (excised), I will return and again pursue purchase of a 2015 MKZ Hybrid in Tuxedo Black with a Light Dune Leather interior. It is one fine looking and equipped vehicle. And I will seek out Andrea if and when I do return. I thought she worked with me with just the right touch for who I am.
