We found ourselves having to book a hotel in for the night after our holiday plans were unexpectedly changed and we had to change airport.

The reception staff were exceptionally helpful as we had arrived before our room was available, but they looked after our baggage, and sought us out in the bar restaurant early when our room become ready sooner than expected.

Holly, who served us lunch in the bar restaurant was friendly, helpful, welcoming and chatty, professional but with a very personal touch. She even recognised us the following morning at breakfast and wished us well on our onward journey. Our plans changing had made our situation a little fraught, and Holly helped relax us and made us feel much more settled for the rest of our stay at the hotel.

Jack, who served us dinner on our night's stay, was also welcoming, attentive but not intrusive, friendly, and chatty, and, like Holly, was a credit to the hotel. He made recommendations and helped us with a change of choices for one of the menu items. He also made our stay very enjoyable.

Another plus to this hotel was the shuttle buses that whisk you to and from Manchester airport, in fact, this was one of the reasons we booked this hotel, it made our travel plans easier and less fraught.

Stay away. Not a 4 star hotel! Location: middle of nowhere on a motorway. Food: poor, staff didn't even know what a poached egg was. Service: slow at best. Children roam the hotel shouting and screaming.

Chose this hotel for an overnight stay before flying out of Dublin airport; free shuttle to and from, though the ride is nearly half an hour. Hotel itself has an unappealingly bland, big-box anonymity, but the price is right and the room was clean adn well appointed.

35 km from Dublin. the hotel is good and nice. there is a bus every hour that goes to the center of Dublin in 40 minutes. 15 euros day and round or 10 if it's simple

Food was the worst i have ever had some staff had very bad manners

The worst experience ive ever had staying in a hotel. I wouldn't normally out up a negitive review but we spent one night here at the end of mayand used their park and ride to the airport. It was really cheap but the room was unbearably hot so didn't get any sleep and the tv didn't work we asked 5 times for it to be fixed and they promised to have someone come and look at it no one did which is not great when you are travelling with two small children. staff were most unhelpfu with the exception on the night porter who got us some coffee to send us on our way in the morning. I should have driven through the night to the airport and saved my money. If I could give no stars I would but I have to leave something to review. Again I'm sure this was a the first negative review I ever left but the expierence was terrible

Was at exhibition there so can't review hotel as a whole, but certainly looks very nice, bit on the pricey side, albeit you get what you pay for.

Was at a trade show so only used the conference room. Tea and coffee always available and soup & sandwiches for lunch. Hotel is clean throughout. Staff friendly.

Contemporary, modern and tastefully. Good service and wonderful bar grill. Slept really well and didn't wake up stiff.

Stayed there for two nights was given room 419 first night on entering room found disgusting stains on the throw over on bed. also lamps next to bed were full of dirt. room overall just felt very unclean. was given another room 517 this was a bit better but still felt unclean. will not be staying there again. complaint was made to management regarding 419 room offered to send up sandwiches to room 519 ask could we have meal instead said yes but you will have to pay for this yourself. The house keeping is of a very low standard.

My sister in law put me on to this lovely hotel. Just off the M1 motorway, great outdoor seating. Playground for the kids.

The rooms were clean and the staff was very nice. The food was good. We were there with a group of 40 people and the hotel was very accommodating.

Common areas of the hotel were very nice. Rooms seemed clean, but are very dated and frankly, pretty ugly. They re in desperate need of updating. Beds are super uncomfortable. It s like a cheap mattress on a wood platform that is almost like sleeping on a board. :/ Service was decent. People were friendly. Food was just ok. Close proximity to air port, but kind of in the middle of nowhere. Not really close to anything else. One member of my group had a broken bed. Another member had his luggage taken to the wrong room and it took a couple hours to track it down, so that was alarming.

Modern hotel but rooms need an update. The rooms on a motorway side are really noisy , so ask for a room on the carpark side. Found it no problem to swap the rooms. Nice & helpful lady working at the reception. The food at the bar is standard. Was not impressed about the breakfast tho - very poor! Ideal location.

stayed here last week had my van broken into and all my tools stolen staff were unsympathetic towards me and as i was waiting on the police coming i just happened to bump into 5 other workmen who told me it happens evey week
instead of adding extra cctv to the carpark and extra barriers why not take that money and pay a security man to look after the carpark.
also i was told that a man who stayed just weeks ago had his catalytic coverter cut off his brand new jeep seriously if your a workman with valuables in ur van

A stunning hotel, highly recommend it for meeting friends or meeting a colleague. The new decor makes it a beautiful environment to relax and take timeout.

Highs and lows in my time at the CityNorth. On the highs the courtesy of the personnel and their availability, the very good breakfast (especially on the traditional breakfast side). On the lows the personnel hasn't been terribly accurate (I had to ask to reprint my receipt), and the building shall need refurbishment soon.

Stayed here for the Garth brooks show. Hotel and our rooms were very nice. great choice at breakfast. The only negative was the meal at the show was tasteless. I would stay here again but maybe try the bar food.

Over priced for a no breakfast inclusive hotel rate ! Went to the standard restaurant at night such slow service , too few staff we four found a table then had to search for a waiter after that it was downhill again , constantly reminding waiter about our simple order, wine forgotten about too ... hopefully a one off experience ..

It was great, people were nice. The rooms were very clean and big enough, and so is lobby. The breakfast was tasty and we were really satisfied. I love to recommend it.

First time staying at this disgraceful hotel with the family and they charged us all different price for same room 240 and 170 And 101.. when they said on the phone it was 120.. The woman in reception was sour looking and was not very welcoming, surprised how she even got that job. That afternoon we booked our dinner with around of drinks, with kids I assume they will be on time but two hours we waited for our food to come an at that they didn t get the stakes right, after 9pm. The pizza that cost 16 not even worth it, cheaper getting a chines. This hotel was by far the worst and it definitely don t deserve a Star. Tayto Park was the best highlight of this weekend break away with family along with our kids. This hotel needs to get receptionist that can smile and be pleasant it doesn t cost much.

Hotel is nicely presented with friendly staff however I found the beds very uncomfortable for myself, my colleague in the other room said the same

On arrival on the 30th Oct we where told room wasn't ready yet.. and it would be 20mins .to go wait in bar .. we arrived shortly after 3pm ..and where still waiting at 5pm I ask what was holding up are room to be told there just not ready.. mind you I reminded the girl myself and my husband 2 children where here for only 1 night.. we then got are room at 5.40pm .. but at this stage I was furious and rang to speak to the manager who's.. name was Sammi and I have to say he couldn't do enough ..free room service for breakfast and upgraded r meal with also free drink..on that note I did say to him about his reception staff not once did they come over to us in the 3 hrs we where waiting or even offer a complimentary tea or coffee.. he did say he will put this forward to general manager .. after being so tried after dinner we retreated back to our room and where that tried bedtime came very early ..

Popped in for Sunday carvery lunch around 3:30 or 4pm. There was a great variety of food for carvery dinner & well presented. Service wasn't great. We asked for a child's portion for dinner for my 4yr old, we were told no full portions only. It was quite barely anyone in the restaurant but loads of staff standing around talking, tables weren't cleaned & there was no cutlery or jugs of water available. We had to ask two separate staff members before we received our cutlery 5 minutes later,, with a young hungry child it wasn't great. The hotel looked nice & there was live music in the restaurant which added to the atmosphere. Just a shame about the service.

I had my 50 th birthday last February 12,2020 I booked my event 6 months ago before the event.Discussed my concerns with the event manager we had pleasant agreement verbally .awaiting for the contract but no avail .My main concern discussed with her was the availability of the of the function hall because we have a very detailed decoration .She reassured me many times that it will be ok to decorate night before the event.I gave my deposit for the event since September 2019,I thought there will be no problem at the date of my event my team was not allowed to decorate not until 4 pm.The event manager allowed this thing happened.my party scheduled to start at 5 pm but we end up starting 7pm.we had under pressured experiences.Guest were already but we couldn t start because of this inconvenience that the hotel event coordinator gave to us.they are not concern with my event they allowed a conference on that day because of money but I said to them ahead of time that I need to decorate the place but I was not heard.Staffs on that event serving according to my guest was not friendly, serving food small amount ,food was only thrown in the bin.table settings was not done before the party started.Jug of water was not ready on the tables. Glass of Prosecco for my 100 guest was not given.so many issues that I discussed to the event manager.But I didn t received any apologies from them.please i you will go to this hotel think it many times.

I have visited this hotel a few times once for business and second time for a coffee on our way home. I didn't find it welcoming on my second visit, I ordered to flat whites from a young ladyl at the bar who I assume was a manager as she gave the impression she was too important to get my drinks, she instructed a young guy to make our drinks. He was already making hot drinks for other customers. We waited 25minutes for our coffees. The bar / Lobby was not busy. I watched this girl strut about and said to my partner why cant she help with the hot drinks, maybe the managers don't help staff here. The young guy was pleasant and my partner asked him "Are you busy today" he replied not to bad. After a lovely few days in Dublin rather than stopping at a petrol station we thought it would be nice to stop for coffee at the hotel. But how wrong was we. Some people should learn that customers keep us in jobs and our business going.

The food is 5 star but the bar staff seem disinterested and the 3 craft beers on tap were unavailable when we visited.

This hotel has lost its way, the food was awful the bar area was not as clean as it should have been This was my third stay there won't be a fourth. l left my comments on the card provided but never got a reply.

Beautiful hotel staff outstanding. Worth a visit has a playground and out side seating great food. Top marks from me .
