Worst customer service ever! Trying to schedule an appointment is nearly impossible. Never can get through to schedule an appointment and when I leave a message it is never returned. The express oil change is a joke, you have to schedule an appointment for that too! Should have never purchased the service warranty if I knew I would have to deal with this B.S.. The old dudes posted out front with their arms crossed are useless and rude. What a joke this place is...

I called to schedule an appointment for my dad's car for a recall he had on his Dodge Journey. I had thought we would be leaving it for a day or two but I was surprised to know that it would only take an hour and a half. I kind of regret not waiting because it actually was ready in less time than predicted. It was a smooth and fast appointment. As I went in to sign some papers and grab the key I noticed they had a very nice and cozy waiting room.

I called and left SEVERAL messages for the service department to call me back in order to schedule an appointment to get SEVERAL safety recalls fixed on my Challenger. Seems like the service department has more time to respond to online reviews relating to their reputation than returning phone calls concerning a customers safety. Hopefully, I can get some help soon?

The salesmen are only interested in talking to you if they think you are for sure going to buy that day, they will stop talking and walk away the moment the think you're just looking or researching. They could learn a lot from Capitol Toyota or Mazda.

I have bought and sold several cars and dealt with many car dealers. Few stand out where I will return business with them. Only one has stood out and made it to the top of "always-go-to" and "always-refer" list. Having purchased and serviced Chryslers and Jeeps with Normandin over the years, I have never encountered a negative experience. I don't want to put out the details, but recently, they demonstrated and confirmed their commitment to satisfying the customer by achieving what I was convinced was impossible. While I could not be more impressed with their response and success of our unique situation, it sincerely does not surprise me given our prior experiences with Normandin.

When you walk into Normandin - which is a large dealership - you immediately get the strong sense of their history, longevity and customer commitment. Clearly, they have survived with the right principles, commitments and foresight.

Second time here (in fact, I am still here as I write this).

5 hours for an oil change and a flat tire. I was one of the first people in at 8am and promised 2 hours. Now the car is done and I m waiting 20? 30? Minutes for? I don t know. My paperwork? Great.

Also, went to the sales people to try and test drive a different car while I waited (my lease is up soon). They claimed to have 4 different vehicles of the type I wanted on the lot. One after another, we walked around with a key only to discover that all of them were off site.

Poor time management, poor inventory tracking, non-existent communication with the client.

But hey, they re the only Jeep dealer around until Fremont, so I ll be forced to come back. Good times!

I tore my rubicon's fuel line 36 hours before leaving for the jeepers' jamboree and they found me new parts and made the repair so I could make the trip. This is truly a family owned business and they greatly appreciate their customers. Bellarmine's "Men for others" runs true with the Normandins.

Dropped car off at 7:40, it took 2 hours to get car checked in and a shuttle home that was 10 minutes away. While checking car in, I learned that they don't do windshield replacements in house and they would have to send out for a quote. This was the main reason for bringing in the car. There were also 2 recall issues, however, they only had parts in stock to perform 1 of the recall services. The appointment was made a week ahead of time, yet they did not order the necessary parts. They will end up having the car 1 day longer than needed as a result. The other main issue is the shuttle driver failed to report to work. They pulled someone out of the body shop to be the shuttle driver. This happened 30 minutes after the first shuttle was suppose to leave. All of this points to a service department that is horribly mis-managed. I plan on getting my wife a Charger in the next year. I will avoid Normandin as a result of their service department. I will also look to have my vehicle serviced by the Stevens Creek dealership.

Poor customer service don't go to them unless you have perfect credit they are to lazy to make a complicated deal work this was the second time I went to them for financing and a purchase of a vehicle but they failed to give a good deal or come up with a good plan or alternative vehicle and both times I go elsewhere and get treated well and get a good deal. I will never step foot on this dealership again.

These guys had their trucks marked up 3k over MSRP. When I pointed this out they arrogantly stated that was "dealer profit". My local dealer in Seaside has these same trucks for 10k under MSRP.

Currently waiting, warrenty work the radio is being replaced when they called me they said it would take two hours, once i got here and said i would wait, they now said one hour, currently timing the replacement a bit disappointed in the time quotes, it seems like if someone was paying out of pocket the time quotes are a money grab, i could replace it in 30 min or less, a cover panel and 4 bolts that's it why 2 hours or even 1 hour seems excessive

I am happy with the outcome of my problem. I want to give Eddie, a mechanic who worked on my car, credit . I got the chance to talk with him and he explained why I was having problems and how to prevent future problems. He took the time to explain things and was confident in his work. My car is fine now and am happy . Thanks Eddie.

I can't begin to explain my frustration to how unprofessional the Service Adviser's (Jerry Aced) at this establishment is including the Director (Steve Rodgers) of the service department. 4 days after I got my car fixed at the dealership, it died in the middle of the road. I had the car towed to the dealership. Its been 2 days no one has called me to give me a status update from the service department. I was just told that they can not find whats wrong with my car. The service department has kept my car for 2 days only to tell me they do not know why my car dead. This department is poorly run, the service advisers nor the director has the common curtsy to return my voicemail. I came to no 2 days after I dropped my car, no technician has been assigned to work on my car. I will never recommend any of my friends or family members to ever purchase a car from this dealership.

Good service most of the time. My belt needed replaced and the battery was dead which they fixed. But now all of my rear lights(brakes, turn signal, reverse) don't work. Hopefully they will be fixed at no charge since they were working when it was taken in.

This should really be 0.5 stars. The only thing g...

This should really be 0.5 stars. The only thing good about this dealership is the shuttle service. Service department and policies are ridiculous. Granted, I purchased my Ram from another dealership, but the maintenance package I have is from Mopar.

My issue with this dealership is with it's service department. My first issue was on my very first maintenance on my 2019 Ram 1500. I scheduled a recall and my first oil change and tire rotation. They scheduled me and when I got there, recall parts weren't available. OK fine. Just do the oil change and rotation. I get back and oil change is done but no rotation. The service guy says the rotation is only for 10k miles service. So why was I not told this during scheduling or when I dropped the truck off to him and discussed the service? Shady.

Second instance was for the recall again since now they said they have the parts. OK cool. But I also asked them to fix an issue with the radio since it seems to fade in and out with all stations. They said they can take a look at it since it's a warranty issue. Dropped the truck off first thing in the morning at 8:30am for recall (1.5 hours per their estimate) and the radio assessment. 4pm, no call for any updates. So I call them. They say the truck is just now being work on....(WHAT?!?!) Why do I have an 8:30 appointment? I go there to wait for my truck because they wanted to keep it over night since they weren't done. I wanted my truck back. When I get there @ 40min later, the service advisor meets me and says it's done with all recall work but radio is not fixed and they don't know what is wrong. My thoughts are they probably did not even take a look at the radio. Doubtful they even did the rework. Even the clerk that gave me the paperwork had terrible service. She was more interested in gossiping with her coworkers rather than thank me for my business. I signed some papers and when i looked up she was sitting on her desk talking to everyone else....."Hello....am I done?" "Thank You".

Now this company is not honoring my maintenance plan at all. They say since it was purchased at a different dealership, the maintenance plan does not apply (new policy). BS. I called the other dealership where I purchased the plan and they said all Ram dealerships honor the MOPAR maintenance package. This place is shady as hell. DO NOT DO BUSINESS HERE. It seems that issues here stems from the top and trickles down to the rest of the employees. The internet manager will probably post on here some sort of form letter to seem like they care....in 3-2-1....bwahahaha

After buying new 2015 Jeep Grand Cherokee (with less than 4k miles), we've experienced erratic radio, satellite and unreliable blue tooth connectivity. It also shifts without consistency and the RPM races at times. We took it in to Normandin (San Jose, CA) prior to the nation wide recall and the "software fix" the dealer put in actually made the symptoms much worse. We returned the vehicle a second time only to be told it needed a new navigation/radio unit. Well, that's been on "order" for over 2 weeks now with no return calls from our service writer. This was my first Dodge vehicle and will most likely be my last! How did they ever get a "most reliable" rating on their Jeep over the past few years? Who gave it this rating? Makes one wonder!

Only a meh rating as it took them one hour to check me in. Service was performed but the dead tail light which I forgot to mention was not changed. Had they checked the dash they would have seen that it warns about the dead bulb.
Checkout person was also rather unfriendly but it was the end of the day.
On the plus side the building and facilities are in excellent shape. Very clean and well decorated. If you have to wait it is at least pleasant.

Update: (moving this review from 3 stars up to 5 after second service)
I today had another engagement with Normandin and this time things went very smooth. The service rep was present and checked my car in very quickly. The service (program a spare key) got done very quickly and Normandin was actually the cheapest service in the area to do this. I ordered the blank key through Normandin and a service rep programmed it to my car which is necessary for a Fiat 500e. Total cost was under $300 which is more than $100 cheaper than other offers I got from various lock smiths.
Service got done in under an hour and a pending recall was taken care of as well during this time. Very happy this time around. Thanks for the service!

Terrible, "BE AWARE" Even with a set appointment , we waited 35min. in car line to speak to someone then got pushed to another person after asking how much longer we would be waiting to be seen, their system is terrible, No one can give an answer. Plus the guy who was supposed to work on our car wasnt even there, We also waited a month to even get an appointment, meanwhile our car needs service badly. Not impressed with service department at all. !!!!!!! Un less you dont have to go to work and have over an hour to wait then try it. I found it very frustrating.

They don't even deserve the one star. I am not pleased with their service department at all. I had a noise and took my truck in September to have it looked at and was told it was my tire. The tire was fine and the sound got worse. I took it back in January and was told it was another tire. Ridiculous. I then took my truck to a private mechanic who promptly told me it was my axle. It is part of a recall that was not fixed when I took it in 2016 for the recall. They gave me back my truck twice to drive with my children that could fail at any time. I took it back yesterday and guess what, it is the axle and the whole thing has to be replaced. Not good service at all. I will not be taking my truck back to them and I hope you think twice also. Unacceptable.

They called me to reschedule an appointment because they are no longer doing services on Saturdays. I waited 25 minutes to be checked in and I was told the Mopar offer on their website was not valid at their location even though I had called to verify it was when scheduling the original appointment and checked again when they called me to reschedule. Both times they confirmed the price for the repair. At the service department they then quoted me over $150 more then the original and said the parts were not in stock anyway and I would have reschedule again and come back when they were in stock. How can a jeep dealership service department not have brake pads and rotors in stock and book appointments anyway?

Great purchase experience, I found just the car i was looking for, e-mailed and texted with Chris, and set up a time to test drive very quickly. The car was ready and waiting in the shade, did the test drive and purchased the car in about an hour to an hour and a half. The financial/document person was thorough but efficient and was very clear about everything that I was signing. It was by far the most painless car purchase experience I have had (although to be fair i wasn't trading in a car and was paying cash).

Made an appointment to test drive a new vehicle. Once there, they pull out the NEW vehicle and they tell me it actually has 6,500 miles on it. They said it's a dealer demo and it's mentioned on their website at the bottom in small print. Who would want to buy a brand new vehicle with that many miles. Mileage is not mentioned on their website, and dealer demo does not mean anything for a normal car buyer. They of course try to steer me toward a more expensive one, which didn't work for me. I asked them to match since I didn't come for this one. They refused and left after driving 2 hours. I called them out saying it was a scam, hiding important information like that. Will definitely never do business with them, so misleading.
Thank you.

James A. Mulder was my salesman, and having a good one makes the experience so much better... I bought a new Challenger, that they had to get from an other dealer... the whole process was super easy, and done in a timely manner... I got a good deal, with top notch Customer Service, which sets this place a part from the other dealerships... I will be going back when I am ready to upgrade... Thank you for making this a positive experience...

I am such a HUGE Yelper and honestly couldn't wait...

I am such a HUGE Yelper and honestly couldn't wait to write this review. I seriously wish I could give them 10 stars because it's well deserved!

I have been looking for an SUV for several months to get me out of a 2007 Nissan Altima. The issue I had was an upside down auto loan of $7080.00 on the Altima, fair credit and only $1000.00 to put down. I'm sure you can tell from that scenario that dealers didn't want to deal with me or the ones that did wanted more money down and a very high monthly payment.

Last week I almost purchased a Ford Escape from Frontier Ford on Stevens Creek but the salesman came back to me with a very high monthly payment and interest rate. He also said I needed to put more money this. Mind you this was after sitting there for 3 hours going back and forth being told they can "make this happen." What really sent me over the edge was when I told the salesman I can't afford the monthly payment; he said "You make great money so you can afford it." I literally got up and walked out the door.

So I went online and started my search over for an SUV and came across the cutest 2016 Jeep Cherokee Sport. I fell in love with it. I sent an email inquiry for it and received a response within minutes from Scott Langton. I emailed him about my situation and asked if he thought they would be able to get me into the SUV I wanted. He asked me to come in so they could appraise my car and we would go from there.

I went in last night after work with honestly not very high hopes due to my resent experience with other local dealers and as soon as I sat down I knew he was the guy that was going to make it happen. He actually went over my entire situation on paper and explained to me how the SUV I want has great incentives which helps with my current cars negative equity. He also went on the payment calculator and showed me different monthly payments based on different amounts financed and the interest rate. He really took the time to educate me which no one else has ever done. He also asked me how much I could afford on a monthly payment and if there was any wiggle room or if it was a hard number. He said he would make sure he stuck to what I said was a comfortable payment.

After filling out my credit app Scott came to me and said "Great news, we can make this work!" After I said I approve the deal Scott took me to see my SUV and it was even better than I hoped for. During the test drive he was going over everything inside and showing me how everything worked. He even went through the Owner's Manual and highlighted some important information to read.

Ounce the financing came through Scott turn me over to the finance rep Ben Zahra and thanks to his hard work and perseverance with the finance companies he got me a lower monthly payment and interest rate than they originally told me it would be. Ben jumped through hoops to get me the best deal to stay within the range I told them I could afford and the best thing is; 'they didn't ask for more money down to get it!' Ben was such a delight during the signing process and went over everything a signed in full detail. If I had a question he would explain the answer to me.

My entire experience with Scott and Ben was the absolute GREATEST car buying experience I ever had. And at 45 years old I've bought a lot of cars.

If you're looking for a new car PLEASE go to Scott at Normandin. I realize they have some negative reviews that people are entitled to review but my experience was AMAZING and I know yours would be too!!!

Thank you Scott & Ben, I love my new Cherokee and it's all due to you two!!!

Your new lifelong customer,

Lisa

My truck has been there for a month for warranty work and still don't have it back. communication from service is terrible. Not happy with fiat Chrysler's handling of this situation either. Stay away from Chrysler products.

Edit: called said truck was ready 12/6/18 32 days after dropping off truck
arrived a little after 4pm and inner fenderwell was still out from them working on it and transmission fluid was very low on dipstick. They can't even read a dipstick and worked on my transmission.

Normandin gets 2 stars, because they have cars, one of the worst to buy from by far...

This dealership or perhaps the Internet salesperson refused to lease at the FCA buy rate... Did not buy here. I suggest you don't either. I've leased a lot of cars over the years and even when they try to sneak in a padded money factor - if caught by the buyer they will revert to the published rate.

At Normandin, one of the oldest CJDR dealers in the bay area, they have the cojones to outright admit and insist they are charging you more for the same lease you can get at other dealers in the area. I went to Fremont CJDR and not only did they quote the rate without markup, they made the payment much less than Normandin.

The bigger they are the harder they fall. I noticed the dealership was nearly empty. The customers who were there had the look of defeat. Normandin really gets close to those boiler room - high pressure sales tactics used most notably by Honda dealerships across the nation. Too bad Normandin is a dinosaur and we know what's coming. They even have a 135 year old replica of a horse and buggy...really innovative place to shop for a car.
