Both of our sons have attended. My husband and I have never experienced a happier or closer group of students than we have been privileged to know at Pomona. All four of us believe that it is the best place on earth to attend college.

Top tier educational opportunities, especially in life sciences, economics, languages, and the liberal arts disciplines. Unrivaled camaraderie among students, unbeatable social scene on campus between the 5 colleges, and year-round summer with ample opportunities to study beside the pool catching some rays. Strong alumni network, most notably in medicine, clean energy, literature, political activism, and financial industries. No wonder so many say it's like if the ivies went to Disneyland. With such small classes and strong professor-student bonds, it was easy to develop strong relationships with world-renowned professors who were happy to write personable and convincing letters of recommendation, so critical to graduate education, medicine, law, and fellowship pursuits after graduation.

The required shoe policy really went against my feel good vibes. Claremont residents took me on their midnight candle-lit vigil, and I lost myself in Satan and the fried bananas that Jerry brought. It was awful.
Unenthusiastic professors often show up to class disheveled, visibly high, and sporting stains from previous nights' debauchery.
That being said, the orange juice does have a nice irony aftertaste.
All in all, would not recommend.

Pomona has a strong claim to offering the best undergraduate liberal arts education of any college or university in the world. Practically no other institution can offer its students as many resources (thanks largely to the 7C consortium, its massive endowment, and its excellent location) while still maintaining the level of individual attention and sense of community characteristic of small colleges. The campus culture is exceptionally supportive, collaborative, inclusive, open, and in general healthy compared to other elite schools with which I am familiar. That's not even to mention the great food, dorms, campus, weather, and other quality of life factors. Of course, like every other college, it isn't perfect and will be a better fit for some than others, but in a general sense, the educational experience it offers is, to the best of my knowledge, essentially unparalleled. I wouldn't want to be anywhere else.

I can't imagine my life without the skills, abilities, and perspective that I gained during my years at Pomona. A faculty that was brilliant, challenging, AND accessible. A student population that was diverse, intense, accomplished, and frivolous. I am forever grateful for the opportunity to attend such a distinguished and intellectually exciting academic environment.

$50k for online courses. Harvard of the Inland Empire is unlikely worth the exorbitant cost. Get the same course online for free. No degree you say? Sure but no debt either. If you can't turn that free knowledge into income, how is the debt and degree going to help. Time for a change in higher education as this dinosaur is becoming extinct.

This school was so beautiful and it absolutely took my breath away. We only came to visit the museum (which was also stunning and the staff was great) butwe stayed the look around the campus and I just loved it here. The amazing architecture, the beautiful trees, the cute little creatures. I loved it all. Unfortunately for me, I can't afford to go here. That's honestly the only flaw I have. Otherwise, I would loved to attend.
