It is a fantastic place to spend the day learning and seeing new things!
Really cool free exhibits, a lot of them are interactive. They have a massive exhibit on the Endeavor space shuttle which is super cool of you're into that.
Both the Body Works: Pulse and The Endeavor Space Shuttle were both excellent Exibits. Always enjoy all of the wonderful Museums that Exposition Park had to offer.
Great place for a educational family outing. Or a date.
This is one of the best museums in California. It has tons of cool exhibits including a huge kelp forest aquarium. All of it with free admission too!
Friendly place. Well organized, showing up a lot of information.
Thos place only gets 4 stars because they have Endeavour. The people that work here are rude and clearly not excited about their lives. (Unless they're in the Endeavour exhibit.) Go see the space shuttle and maybe an IMAX if you're into that and skip the rest unless you're with kids. It really is geared towards the under 10 crowd.
My son loved the rock climbing. Definitely recommend it.
Best place to bring your kids to and help them get interested in science! They will see the space shuttle Endeavor and all its parts. Outside is a beautiful rose garden. The best and the cheapest way to go there is to take the Expo Line train to USC/Expo station. You can also walk from the Expo/Vermont station.
It's a really cool place. Been going there since I was a child and it's nice being able to now take my kids and see how they enjoy it.
What a surprise in a rainy day! Some attraction to be fixed and renowned
Meeting the Endeavor space shuttle was an amazing experience.
Awesome place to take kids. Great for spending the afternoon or whole day. Can't beat free admission! And the exhibits are excellent and very interactive. 5-10yrs recommended.
Amazing place for a Los Angeles adventure!
Easily took the Metro expo line from 7th st. Metro Center and got off right between USC and the rose garden/science center.
I came here on a friday around 11:30 AM and stayed for around 2-3 hours for the whole museum.
BEWARE on weekdays because the science center is full of school kids on field trips! It makes a fun trip when the center is busy but most of the hands on activities are used by the kids :)
This place is beautiful...the science is Wonderful....
Had allot of fun. Make sure you bring food with you, because it can get kinda pricey
Great for kids. Lots of interactive exhibits. Easy to understand all the signs for lots of learning opportunities.
Came only for the shuttle, if you are into space stuff, this is a must.
Ever since the space shuttle Endeavor flew over the NASA facility I work at on it's way to California I wanted to see this shuttle up close. On a recent trip to Pasadena I got my chance. Before I got to see the star of the show I really enjoyed the exhibits they set up to educate visitors about the shuttle and the space program. It was fun to touch shuttle tires, see the excess property paperwork photo they had in the exhibit that formally transferred ownership of the shuttle to the California Science Center, the space potty, galley, Rocketdyne operations center mockup and astronaut memorabilia were all very interesting as well. After a video that showed the shuttle and external fuel tank traveling through the streets of LA to the California Science Center I headed downstairs to see the star of the show. In it's own separate building outside sits the Endeavor. It was wonderful to get to see this up close. It also felt a little sad, seeing a piece of space history now being a museum exhibit. It was fun to walk around the orbiter. It doesn't really seem that big, and the astronaut living quarters up from all things considered is pretty small. The exhibit signs were good to read, they definitely helped you better understand what you were seeing. They had two folks by the shuttle to answer questions and they had actual heat shield tiles that you could hold. I never realized how light those tiles were, I felt like I was holding styrofoam. The two dollar price was well worth it. I walked quickly through the rest of the Science Center. Lots of school groups and kids. The Museum definitely seems geared to children. I'd recommend a visit for families or space geeks like me :)
It is so cool. It is a great place for kids to have fun and learn at the same time, plus most exhibits are free.
Went to LA, went to this place, didn't regret it. It's pretty chill if you have a couple hours.
This place along with the museums next to it are amazing! Not to mention free to the public so take advantage! These are amazing structures and the science center was packed with great things to look at such as the spave shuttle Endeavor and parts from it. A little aquarium bunch of exhibits with eco enviroments and a lot fun little things that the kids can try anf play with. I truly truly recommend it.
A free museum that teaches children the wonders of science!
The idea is wonderful!
The space shuttle Endeavor, A-12 B that knocks out Mach 3.3 (Warthlessly in the parking lot), F-18 and other fighters and Apollo spaceships are just overwhelmed by the actual exhibits of human history heritage.
It is fun no matter how many times you go! !
Great museum! Alone for the space shuttle shown here, do not miss it! But also a lot of interesting things, especially for families with children. Right next door: the old olympic stadium of 1932 and 1984.
Nice but $12 for parking? Tickets are enough, and then the gift shop!
great place. just shy of 10% of exhibits are behind on maintenance, however.
Great place to explore with children and even adults
Awesome experience!! A lot of interesting stuff to look at and so much to acknowledge
Great for keeping children occupied, but not great in terms of learning anything. The exhibits don't have much there, it focuses mostly on providing entertainment for smaller children
Many devices are old, the most worth seeing is the space shuttle
Endless fun for the whole fam. Mentally stimulating. Entry is free for all. Parking cost us $12. Detailed description and immersive fun activities for all age levels.
One of the best museums in LA! Lots of fun exhibitions and learning. Love this place.
Very nice and free! Great for family. The IMax was very good
Never can go wrong with a FREE jaunty to this museum.
Exhibits are amazing. I bring my son here every few months.
We went to see the King Tut exhibition. Everything revolves around the discovery of his tomb and exhibition of artifacts. Pretty collection. Museum made for children with lots of interactive workshops.
Best place with kids fun filled days with so much to learn and experience.
The DOGS exhibit has very little worth seeing. Spend your money on the IMAX DOGS movie instead.
Kids had a blast for 4 hours, free, plus free wheelchairs too.
fun, but there were too many broken interactive displays
This museum/science center is not that big, and located near the LA Memorial Coliseum. The most exciting item on display here is the Endeavour Space Shuttle. It is a dream come true for me to finally see the space shuttle in person. The other displays are also quite nice, but not nearly that special as the space shuttle. They have a good museum store as well.
They have the only prototype of F-20, so it makes them special :) Also, they have a Blackbird and of course the space shuttle Endeavour, must see if you like air planes and space...
Fantastic. Easy 12 dollar parking if you enter from the south end. Endeavor is already awesome as it is; it'll be even better once it has its final visitation space and is standing upright!
Good interactive fun, free parking a little bit dated
Very interesting and even just for the Shuttle it is worth coming. $ 20 parking and $ 3 each to see the Shuttle.
Ideal for children, many interactive activities and the possibility of seeing a space shuttle.
Always good for kids as well as adults. Great learning experience!
An absolute must in Los Angeles. Great exhibition with the possibility to see a space shuttle. The facility is very large and offers numerous exhibits, some of which can be tried out in the form of experiments.
It has a lot of kid friendly activities and hands-on. There are family rooms/kid zones in all corners that you can have the kids play as if they are in school, touching every toy, props, books. I highly recommend this place if you have children. It's also free.
Been here since I was a child. Take your kids here or go by yourself too. Its fun to learn
It was my first time traveling to California and this was just amazing my little girl had so much fun
Great Place !
We had an extra day in LA and wanted to do something different than just another day at the parks. We got a recommendation to visit here and it was absolutely great. The Endeavor is probably the crown jewel and was amazing to see in person. Entry is free to the center and there are a lot of exhibits. I think a reservation time is $3 for the Endeavor but it is included if you see an IMAX film and we wanted to see the Apollo 11 film anyway. In any event, very short money for a well worth it trip. We paid $18 in total for the 2 of us. We also made a donation. Also, there are people all around the Endeavor and I wish I remembered his name, but the gentleman we spoke to had worked on the Endeavor and had an amazing background including engineering, airplane engines and other stories, including boating and the NFL. We learned more from him in 20 minutes about the shuttle than we ever had - and we've been to NASA! He was great. Search him out! Follow this with a trip to the Griffith Observatory for a full space day!
This is the best place for the public.. I don't understand why this place isn't packed with people if its FREE.. We loved it. We had a great time here.
The science center is amazing and everyone should see it!!!
One scoop of Ice Cream here is enough for a small family, Go Murica!
Wonderful place for your little ones and Grown ups alike
Great place to take your kids and explore and learn new things.
