Great for the price (FREE!). It is a bit dated compared to other Science Center type museums and in need for an overhaul (everything was probably new in the 90s).

Still, great entertainment and education for younger kids who can look over the rough edges. A fair amount of former spacecraft and models.

The highlight is, of course, the Endeavor and it only costs $2 to see her. However, that area is still more geared to older kids (I would say more appropriate for a 5th grader).

Very nice staff, food is ok as well (we had pizza) and not overly prized. Tutankhamon exhibition was a bit shorter than I expected, but seeing the Endeavour space shuttle and everything related to the space program made everything better. Restrooms were clean and there were no lines even though it was a crowded day.

We spent three hours at the center and it wasn't enough to see everything, so reserve more time if you want to do it all.

Souvenir shop had something for everyone. From small fridge magnets to exclusive items.

Such a wonderful experience to have in Los Angeles with suitable attractions for anyone and any family. Incredible history, a must go for anyone interested in our space program. Plenty of learning and experiences for children and the IMAX programs are absolutely stunning!

This place is AMAZING and it's free to go in and look at the exhibits! I would have paid $15+ per adult to go it, and it's worth even more than that. My favorite part if the Shuttle Orbiter Endeavor they have on display. Great place for kids, families, couples, or by yourself.

We came for the King Tut exhibit, which was really good. The Egyptian IMAX movie really helped our kids understand why King Tut's tomb is so special.

The kids also enjoyed all the hands on exhibits and seeing the space shuttle.

Looking for a place to take your kids this is a great place to learn and have fun. Teach you about this world and how it works. They also have a space shuttle and many other space exploration artifacts.

Admission to the general exhibits is FREE. That will give you access to 3 floors with things like the aquarium, ecosystems, technology, recycling, space etc. Everything is interactive. It's free, so some things don't work properly and you'll want to bring some sanitizer or wipes to clean up. There are separate exhibits that change frequently and will cost admission to attend. You can buy tickets for those at the ticket counter there.

Best place ever and its FREE to get in (except for special exhibitions). A few highlights, in the Desert Ecco system, check out the flash flood that happens every 10 mins. Pay the $3 bucks and ride the bike across the wire. Also, go check out the aquarium outside in the back

For special exhibitions, like King Tut, you need to book in advance. Also, I highly recommend booking the combo ticket that includes IMAX + King Tut entrance.

Greatest thing for kids and wanna be kids. These kind of places keep the interest in Science and Technology alive and real. Watching kids try out hands on experiments, look at the planes and artifacts related to apace travel is priceless.

I always try to talk to ex-Nasa scientists. The pride of working on something cutting edge shows in their talks. What one such volunteer said cut through my heart - NASA has budget or interest now, due to lack of interest and vision. We need to bring that back. What better way than this for kids to learn first hand?

I really wanted to see this exhibition but when I saw the price for ticket, parking, IMAX.....made me think twice until a friend of mine had an extra ticket so I paid a visit, very hopeful and excited. Waiting in various lines for hours the IMAX show was worthless unless you are a 7 year old. You get better information by watching the History Channel. Then it was time for the exhibits of King Tut tomb. There were no tombs, no mummy, no sarcophagi....NOTHING!! All other items like small figurines were all fake. They were supposed to be 3300 year old wood figurines but were all shiny like they were painted yesterday. Then if you look closer you will see cracks in the paint and underneath you will see white plastic, same plastic used in 3D printers.

This exhibit was nothing but a scam but what do you expect from Los Angeles with a scam artist mayor Garcetti.

I went here on a Friday afternoon during winter break and it was crowded but not to the extent where you couldn't see everything. Pretty nice atmosphere and the exhibits never get boring even through I have been coming here when I was a small child. Very educational as well and the exhibits are hands on so children can learn without having to read long paragraphs on the wall :))

Fun

This is a great place for the family, especially younger kids. They have a wide assortment of displays, some which are interactive. There is also a small aquarium with a petting station. The space shuttle Endeavor is housed there and costs only $2 per person to see. They also have an IMAX theater where you can watch educational films for a fee.

The exhibits have a broad range (e.g. aerospace/aeronautics, ecology, biology). The exhibits are kid friendly, but will also appeal to adults and teenagers also.

There is a food court in the lower level which is very reasonably priced. This leads to the Rose Garden, which it's name implies, is a garden containing a large variety of rose plants.

The only drawback is that, depending on when you go, it can be very busy. This is especially true in the summer; many kids' summer camps come here. This means that some of the more popular interactive displays may be hard to use.

The best part of this: IT'S FREE!!! Only the above mentioned (space shuttle and IMAX) cost money, and they are relatively cheap.

I highly recommend taking the family at least once.
