I still can't believe this place is free. Our kid ...
I still can't believe this place is free. Our kid loved it and the ecosystem exhibits were amazing.
I still can't believe this place is free. Our kid loved it and the ecosystem exhibits were amazing.
A must see for aller the Members of the family. Free admission. You can see Endeavour for 3$ only or for free after 1 PM. The staff is just great!
You do not have to be scientific to enjoy this incredible place. Seeing our space history thru the years is fantastic! The new displays of the Apollo or Mercury capsules are great. The immense Endeavor. All kids should go and yes adults too. Hands on exhibits too. The Art of the brick- a grand exhibit of the Lego artist. Fun!Go!!
It s free. Best place to park is in the adjacent structure and parking is $10. Very popular with kids and families and you may see lots of school field trip groups during your visit. Lots of exhibits to interact with. There is a nice gift shop and plenty of options for food on the ground floor.
What a treat for Mother's Day. I Max and science center. Parking pricey at $12 but there's lots of it.
My son loves (!) the CA Science Center. Been here 100 times.... over the last 5 years. Never gets old!!
If your kids are hands on like mine, this is the place to go. So many hands on exhibit design for the kids just to touch. My 10yr old daughter love it. But don't just think this is a place for kids. Any adults that walk out without learning something must have walked around with their eyes closed.
And there is no excuse for not going if your in the area because it's free to get in for everybody. It did cost $12.00 to park.
The best place on earth maybe one day yiu humans will make it
Awesome place! A must go place if you like space and jet planes stuff.
Great place for kids, for families, or solo. Lots to do and see. Watched IMAX and went to see king tut.
Loved seeing the Space Shuttle Endeavor. Also had King Tut exhibit but didn't go to it.
A very interactive science center with some amazing historical space artifacts and capsules. Don't miss the space shuttle endeavor exhibit. Entrance to this place is free!
Great walk around the expo park area, but don't wander too far! Not all areas around it are equally nice.
Good place for kids. Some outdated equipment used for the hands in recommend update. Over all good experience
Cool place. Exhibits could have more details but they are still informative. The shuttle exhibit is nice, and there is a decent rotation of events throughout the year.
I have been taking my kids here for over 20 years. They have learned so much there from aero dynamics to anatomy etc. I recommend this place for small and large groups alike. There are also places that you can eat here. The Endeavour is also in Display for a separate price. Worth seeing for sure.
Boo hoo no wagons or double strollers allowed, yet. Lots to do, the king tut was great, the space shuttle endever could use some work. Imax king tut was ok so if your on a budget ya not miss to much. Save for the K.tut tour they have a wide variety of food plus ya get a pager for the wait so ya can claim a table ya don't have to stand there
Fun, free, diverse, and amazing, although some exhibits are not for free, it's a fun place to learn, and the most amazing thing I think is the Endeavor that is located inside the science center ($2 per person and well worth it)
Great day trip with awesome exhibits. Plenty of things to explore.
This place is absolutely huge and the displays are gorgeous and informative. It's too big to give everything the attention it deserves in a single day, but worth spending multiple days at. The rose garden in front is beautiful, and so are the buildings. The docents are informative and easy to talk to. I spent most of my time in the space exploration exhibits, and getting to be that close to the space craft was incredible. You let it go yourself to go and learn.
I love this place. So cool lots to do and very interactive for kids! Best place to go hang out with your interested little ones
Alot of nice things to see here. I've always loved museums. Especially natural history.
Nice building, interesting exhibit, and hey they have a shuttle.
Awesome place as it is the resting home for one of our great space shuttles. Definitely worth the visit and the donation to get in to see the space shuttle. Take a look at the front land gear as you will notice that the landing gears doors are not the same width. Interesting.
Cool place to visit with the whole family, many interesting exhibits.
Seeing a space shuttle up close is amazing good to take kids
Interesting hands on exhibits - crowds were not large at all. Parking hint: There are some residential streets in the area that are a very comfortable walk away! Overall great experience for free exhibits
Great experience, even during the holidays. Especially loved the Rose Garden out back.
Great place to bring the whole family. Educational fun.
Very successful science museum to touch and participate.
Such a fun place. Really allows guests to get up close & personal with the exhibits.
First time at the science center and had a great time. Space Ship Endeavor was awesome and amazing. The Pixar exhibit was fun, would have loved to seen more characters, but we learned a lot.
It s amazing place for discovering science. Our family spent all most time in here for many interested things. We know about global, ecosystem, earthquake, space, human body, animals, desert, etc.
They have a beautiful rose garden with a nice fountain.
The food court has variety food. They are yummy.
The whole thing is amazing, and despite it being in L.A., it lacked vandalism on any of it's walls.
Free museum, with a flight simulator ride no less (8 bucks for that) was a great way to spend the day.
Such a great place to spend the day with family and friends!! Never get tired of going
#reclinerseats #imax this place isn't just for kids it is a great educational place for anyone and it is totally free unless you want to see any of the attractions.
Fun place to take the kids. So many thing to do. Great learning experience.
My favourite place to visit during weekdays, hands down. So big with 3 major toddler rooms on each level, live animals and clean toys and educational equipments, how much more can u ask for with 12 dollars for parking tickets and free admission.
They have the space shuttle Endeavour!! So cool. Worth going for this alone. Come early to avoid the crowds.
Wonderful exhibits. The special exhibits are well developed, educational and enjoyable. Great place to learn, especially for the kids.
The California Science center is a great resource to expand children's minds. Interactive and informative, it is a must-visit for families and kids.
Enjoyed the exhibits, parking was easy take a day and your time to see it all.
Great place! Parking was $12, but the museum is free. Lots for kids (and adults) to see and do. Our kid's favorite was the kelp forest and asking the diver questions. We paid $3/person for the Endeavor exhibit which was great as well. There are a couple other "a-la-carte" activities that are available for a fee as well. Had a great time!
Hubble 3D makes us travel in the universe. The controlled 3D effect gives the sensation of floating among the most distant galaxies. Do not miss the Shuttle Endeavor exhibit. You may be thrilled to admire this impressive spaceship ...
It's a great place to learn about science and see great achievements of humankind in regards of space exploration. Saw in the IMAX the 3D movie "a beautiful planet", a one hour movie about earth..Very informative and also just beautiful. Also I did enjoy seeing the models and prototypes of several space probes/capsules and landers. Some are also the real deal, and a must-see is the Endeavor and it's fuel-tank. Being your wide angle lens, you really gonna need it. If tickets are required, grab them quick and easy online (at times they require timed tickets as a crowd control mechanism). Also there are tons of stations where you can experiment and experience science yourself. Admission is general free, IMAX and special exhibits go extra. A great deal!
If you like museums, you have to visit this one! Take the Metro it's a whole experience in it's self.
Plenty of cool stuff and very affordable. Just buy the iMax for the shuttle and u are good all day. See website for price. Cannot get the experience here anywhere else.
It s a very fun and educational place for kids and adults.
Love this place for the whole family. It can be quite busy, but there is so much to explore. My kids love all the hands-on elements and I love the rose garden.
All of the cool exhibits sell out really quickly, so I suggest that you buy your tickets online for the things that you really want to see. It's really really crowded, I wish they would limit the amount of people that can go in, and I wish they would sell tickets so that they can make the experience less enjoyable by limiting the people that go in.
My family has been visiting this place for the past 20 years
Great museum for the whole family. Here you can see spaceships, visit the rooms stylized as scientific centers located in different parts of the planet. Many expositions in which children can take part. The museum must be visited in the morning, because the only way you can see everything, it is very large.
A great adventure at The Tut Exhibition. So many artifacts on display and great historical information. Go see it before it leaves in January 2019! I plan on returning to the CA Science Center to explore the rest of the museum.
We took our kids to see the King Tut exhibit, and were pleasantly surprised by the rest of the science center. Ended up being a day well spent with our 8 and 10 year olds.
Unlike the Exploratorium in the Bay Area, we found this to have far more hands-on activities for the kids to take part in, all the while learning about basic scientific principles. There were many themed areas, and our kids said they enjoyed the Fear Center the best (learning about human s response to fear).
It is free to get in, but be prepared to spend some money. There are several displays that are $3-5 each (though none of these are necessary, we didn t do any). The King Tut exhibit was an additional charge, and the Endeavor display required tickets also.
About the Endeavor display: Well worth it. Well done, lots to see and learn, and fascinating to see the space shuttle up close.
We spent about 5 hours here, with about an hour break for lunch.
It is hard to say anything bad about a free museum of this size. You can get in for free but most of the special exibits like the space shuttle will require a purchaced ticket that is usually good for the whole place. Just visiting the aquarium (free) is worth any drive downtown.
