Really nice Asian Street food in the corner. Chef takes orders, cooks, and does the money at a million miles an hour, my heart goes out to his multitasking and brilliant food.
Despite advertising as dog friendly I didn't find it so when I visited on 19 th September had to ask three times for a bowl of water for my dog , however the pancakes were delicious
Food was great, atmosphere was great. My partner and I were in for brunch last week and the cafe had good food to offer. The menu wasn't large (which I sometimes find better) and I was a little afraid I wouldn't fine something I liked (I can be a little picky sometimes) but alas I found something from the day menu and my other half found something from the menu that used to only be served in the evening. I think it was a great idea to always have the two running. There is more variety.
The very, very best evening with Deacon Blue. Absolutely fantastic and a very special birthday gift from my wife.
Superb vegan food, great coffee and tasty cakes. Staff are always super friendly, dogs are welcomed and its a good place to work from
Great destination for live music, great food and friendly atmosphere.
Friendly staff, great coffee, interesting food with great veggie options, unusual teas, eclectic surroundings and lovely table service
Absolutely awesome cafe / venue. The staff are lovely and the food and drink are delicious!
Really nice burger, however 6 pounds for a bloody Mary is unreasonable, especially when it was in a small glass with loads of ice. Nice atmosphere in the day.
Great place for a pint or food with friends. Plenty of vegan options.
Excellent venue - friendly and intimate venue that works hard to give the customer a good service. A hidden gem
Really chilled place - run as a community project. They generally have some good home baking available. They do lunches too - and stay open late. I would recommend it.
Great food, excellent staff and kiddie friendly too.
Great place, nice relaxed vibe. A cafe, a bar and a venue a little bit tight on space when busy. Nice drink selection with a well stocked craft beer fridge. Overall a great south side hangout.
Top 3 spots for breakfast in Glasgow, the food immense service is great and atmosphere is chill.
Loved it. Enjoyed a fabulous concert. Great menu and bar. Lots of gluten free choices.
Nice place, good for the community, very alternative
Top notch. Great service, nice folk fantastic gigs. Will be back.
Easily the best coffee in Glasgow maybe the world personally my favourite the staff no matter how busy they are are extremely friendly this maybe the coffee speaking 10/10 guys have a nice day
Closed when we went at 13.30 on a Monday. Google said it should be open. So sorry we did as you replied and thought it was closed. We will defo come back for a visit and pay more attention to the doorway. Thanks
Working well through the restrictions. Very efficient and friendly.
Great wee venue. Only stopped in for a few coffees but they also serve various beers lagers and spirits. I understand they also offer hot food until 4pm. Many live Events to be had too. Music, poets, quiz etc. Will be coming back really nice atmosphere.
Delicious vegatarian breakfay with quality ingredients and a thoughtful staff.
The place is always welcoming. My daughter and I with my two very young grandchildren were well waited on. The food was really excellent.
Great place. Lovely relaxed atmosphere. Very enjoyable. Staff helpful and friendly. I'm a regular down there. Some cracking gigs as well. Even baby/ toddler friendly. Give it a go !
Went on Saturday for brunch - food was tasty and attention to Covid measures was appreciated, but the service was poor. Staff were nice but very difficult to flag down. Also it took an hour for our food to arrive and we only ordered 3 small mains. Appreciate they were busy with full tables but we were disappointed.
Amazing space, really nice beers and great atmosphere
Relaxed atmosphere with great tasting coffee and snacks
The new menu is awful. Went there for lunch. Most of menu items were egg based. Not what I was expecting.
Always brilliant food with nice service, busy on the weekends but perfect for a mid week sit in :) I review lots of Southside Glasgow brunch on Instagram @justjasjas
Fantastic alternative place, great vegan food, lots of ales, stouts and malts, great atmosphere, great experience all around!
Lovely cafe, serving a variety of cakes (lots gluten free) and beers on tap. Also has a fridge full of different beers to take home. The gluten free chocolate ginger cake was lovely
Loved this dog friendly cafe with all it old secondhand pieces. It also as a thrift shop from which it invests profits into the loacal community
Like a never ending nook to plant yourself in, offering great selection of coffees and Breakfast/Lunch foods.
Great breakfasts here. On my first visit I had the full breakfast and the second visit I had the savoury stack. Both plentiful and really tasty. Great and attentive service too.
Really delicious food! Bit noisy though, and cold by the windows.
One of the few cafes in Glasgow that's a destination in it's own right.
OMG this place is wonderful. We had the best breckfast here. A must go if your in Glasgow. The building is really nice too. It's welcoming and quirky. So happy with our choice.
Good coffee great service and lovely cakes. Hope to visit for food soon. Family friendly and large space for bigger groups
Great atmosphere love it and glad rags Clothes shop!!!
Amazing food. The place is very cosy. The staff is very nice. I enjoyed my time there. Not all of the options are vegan but most are. So it's a vegetarian and vegan cafe. The vegan options were delicious. Portions are generous.
Great food in a cosy setting. Can get busy but staff really accommodating
Always a great atmosphere in the Glad. Friendly staff.
The new menu by Hen of the Woods is brilliant - amazing food, great coffee, fantastic space.
Brilliant cafe, relaxed atmosphere, baby friendly & delicious food
Food good but really busy and we were in a hurry...
Dog friendly, great choice of beers, splendid coffee served by skilled barista people. What more could you want?!
Nice coffee and a relaxing place to catch up with friends
Always a joy to visit The Glad Cafe. My choice of breakfast was absolutely delicious (eggs, lentils, spinach, feta....) Sadly I had no room left for cake... will just have to go back again! Thank you Glad Cafe.
Went to a gig in the glad cafe. In its self its really nice, smelt like the food would be awesome but as a gig venue not so good on this occasion. The heat was overwhelming. It was packed. Last minute tickets had been released on a gig that was supposedly sold out two days before! Id think twice about going back for a gig. May pop in for food.
Apple vegan cake and oat milk coffees were had. They didn't disappoint and will be going back for more. They have a great space there for music and other events such as movie nights, which gets utilised very well indeed. They also have a great selection of games to play such as checkers, backgammon and chess (pieces available with a small deposit). In the corner they have a small open kitchen where you can order and watch your food being cooked fresh, it's always been delicious. Next door, but still part of the cafe, is a small shop charity shop selling cool clothes and shoes for men and women. Over all a great community space and I would go back
Great venue for live music, ambient place to chill with a drink
This is my local and I love it. Great choice of drinks and you can normally always get a seat. There's also the added comedy value of overhearing some hilarious hipster conversation.
A veery small venue that was really busy there seemed to be a bit of over booking . If your looking for an intimate place to see a gig this is it but can be a bit crowded
Had coffee and cake after work, both great. Also had a few pints - very good selection of beers on tap. Also the Vietnamese street food served in the evening is excellent - something a bit different. Staff are friendly and efficient.
Great food and great coffee. Plenty of choice for vegetarians and vegans. Service is sometimes quite slow. Great for young kids as there are plenty of high chairs, it's accessible for buggies and has decent baby changing facilities.
Chilled out with great food. Staff are mostly good.
Really nice friendly place with smallish performance space. Arty vibe with vegan food, decent beers, and fresh coffee. Very eclectic rolling programme of events. Well worth a visit.
Friendly staff, but the beer I got was awful, like the lines hadn't been cleaned. Atmosphere was pretty quiet for a Saturday afternoon.
Worst coffee ive had in a long time :( very disappointed
Love this cafe ..great cakes and vibe about the place
Went in around 14:00 on Sunday the 27th of May. Ordered some rolls for food and one of them was mouldy.
Really dissapointed as previously the food there has been lovely.
Great venue, great event, great food, great staff, great atmosphere! Always a pleasure.
Delicious vegetarian breakfast, great coffee, good music.
