A hipster den. The food is needlessly pricey and has plenty of vegan options. Dog friendly and good service.

Really great place. Large menu selection with good vegetarian and vegan selections. Also great beer options. Specials all looked delicious. Service and staff were excellent, I would absolutely recommend this place.

A fine selection of beers (Brooklyn Lager on tap!) good food and a brilliant performance space mark out Glad as pretty unique on the Southside. There's always interesting live performance going on, too.

Horrible coffee, waited for ages for a wee coffee and a pancake! Had to give back my latte cuz it was a mug of milky froz. Sorry! I was expecting more after the reputation i heard.

Love the Glad. Such a cool place at any time of day. Most recently I have enjoyed breakfast here. I was a little indecisive with the menu so just picked the French toast as a quick choice. So glad I did! I was amazing! Loved it. I recommend it with the caramelised bananas, cinnamon and cream.

By far one of the best cafes/places to eat/chill out in the area. The coffee is actually made properly. Flat was spot on and not burnt in any way. The food was also amazing. Definitely worth a visit if you're near it. Really friendly staff as well.

Visited Something2@the glad Cafe. Both my wife and I were big fans of something when it was in Clarkston. So we knew what to expect, tasty and well presented food. Had the stornoway which is my favourite dish at Something. Portion sizes good and glad cafe has good character and nice environment to sit and have a relaxing breakfast.

Id heard nothing but great things about this place. And the social enterprise angle is something that appealed to me.
Unfortunately I was a little disappointed. The place has a great vibe and a great beer selection. I was however just in for coffee and cake and neither really hit the mark. The coffee was a little bitter and the cake a bit dry.

First choice for our visits to the south side. Dog friendly is always nice but Glad has rhe added bonus of plenty of space to tuck our enormous greyhound out of everyone's way so we're not having to constantly monitor him and apologise to people!

The service was slow as they were busy. When served staff were pleasant enough. Food was absolutely ace, especially the vegan breakfast!

Great ittle venue for food, beer and gigs. Small, friendly and quirky with some great draught and bottled wheat beers and a monthly pub quiz - and dog friendly too.

This is my favourite place in Shawlands, if not the whole world. Chilled, comfy, eclectic and great friendly staff. Oh and very dog friendly. Love it x

Friendly staff, excellent service, great food and homely atmosphere to boot. Also great for families, at breakfast and lunch or brunches. When I was there there were there were at least two families with small babies.

A great place to work, read, or see friends. Really good brunch food by Hen of the Woods, and a nice selection of cakes. Lots of space and tables. Nice cosy yet spacious environment, I like to tuck myself away there for a few hours as often as I can.

Wee gem of a place - wide variety of beers (including Williams Brothers on tap!) and fairly priced. The kitchen up the back does some really awesome thai (? East asian anyway) food too. I'll be back for sure!

Ordered French toast with bacon and syrup. Was bland, quite expensive too...

Low key place to hangout. They have live music in the back on a regular basis. Good place for brunch/lunch and to enjoy a good drink from the beer fridges on a weekend
