I wanted to cancel my order for their $99/promotion I've called 3 x in the past 24 hours and no one is answering the phone. I'm concerned that I've been scammed. I was told I would receive an e-mail confimation, and that I had 7 days to cancel. I never received an e-mail and no one has gotten back to me. When I call the number, it says Breckenridge Grand Vacations.

Complete letdown...

Complete letdown...

We booked a tour of the property in March 2017. The new Grand on Peak 8 is beautiful. I was not traveling with my wife so I had no intention of spending over $50K without speaking with her first.

We (there were two of us) purchased a vacation voucher package for $995 which gave us two nights each the following year and a few other things - we wanted to stay at peak 8 but instead settled for Peak 7's Grand Lodge. We made it VERY CLEAR that we wouldn't purchase the package unless we could get one of these two resorts.

Of course communication was HORRIBLE - customer service kept calling several weeks before to confirm our reservation at the so so Grand Timber Lodge. NOPE. We emailed, called and clarified every single time they called and it was still messed up when we got there. Breckenridge Grand Vacations was not willing to do anything about it. Nothing.

With this package, we had to do another tour and the same result. I didn't have my wife with me and had no intention of spending that much money without having her there. Their entire sales pitch is very pushy - fine if you are buying a sandwich but not if you are spending this much money. He only spoke about himself - I gave him several buying "hints" or hot buttons that would have had me more interested but he was too busy talking about how much money he donates and how generous he is to even listen to what I was saying. I asked for pricing to be held until I could speak it over with my wife. Our host insulted me saying "I thought you cold make a decision" and was extremely rude. I told him I was offended and that ended our visit.

We will be headed back to Breckenridge like we do twice a year but will NEVER work with BGV again.

I called and spoke to John Liner, the VP of sales with a simple request. He could not be more rude, unprofessional, or unwilling to compromise. I have never been spoken to in a more condescending manner. We are looking to upgrade our ownership, but because of the treatment we received from Mr. Liner, we will be looking elsewhere for timeshares.

Their timeshare programs is a complete scam. If you speak with Paul Weldon, run. He will misrepresent the product and convince you to sign up for something by not disclosing all the details of the fees that aren't presented before signing up. He also will tell you about some great vacation exchange program Interval stating that you can get rooms for $20-40/night! But doesn't mention that there are different levels of membership and the member you receive includes pricing that is NO BETTER than what you could find yourself on Orbitz or Priceline!

It's a complete fraud how they have operated their business. Do no purchase with them.

This place is a grade A+ scam. They are good at what they do. They charge a fee for everything.

I called to cancel within the time period, however they didn't tell me that they would send an email to confirm the cancellation. I didn't confirm and now I will not receive a full refund of $149.00.

God damn this place. Somebody should end this company and put the owners in prison.

Last Aug (2014) BGV had a booth across from us at the Palisade Peach Festival and we spent a couple days chatting and I watched how they approached people about taking a timeshare tour and they were highly professional. I ended up dropping a $100 deposit for a free 3 night stay with the $100 credited back once we did the timeshare tour. This weekend, after several reschedules, which was never, ever an issue (again very professional) we made the journey in July 2015 and we are now on day 3 of a fantastic visit. We did the time share tour with Nick Cunningham and after having done a few of these in the past we went in fully expecting to suffer for two hours, say no 4 times to 4 different people and finally get out. Instead it was a zero pressure, educational session, great property with amenities, and a one time price that was very fair with a few bonuses thrown in. I walked out in shock because I actually bought one..... Cant wait to come back and in Nick I think we made a friend for life.

We own at another time share company and traded it...

We own at another time share company and traded it for the summer at Grand Vacations. We never participated in the 90 minute seminar because we aren't in the market for another. Let me first say that I am impressed that they are dog friendly. Most are not. This saves a bundle on dog boarding and it's less stress on the family. The staff has always been very professional. Also, they all have free hot chocolate and coffee. They are all close to the slopes and hiking trails. All have restaurants on property. All studios have mini fridges and no ovens, but they do have dishwashers, microwaves, tasters, coffeemaker, etc. They all have a free shuttle within town limits.
My favorite is Grand Colorado Peak 8, bc it's brand new, modern, has efficient a.c., modern laundromat and it's more spacious than the others. It's next to the Gondola and fun park and we could see 4th of July Fireworks from our balcony. We rode the Gondola downtown for groceries. It had one pool and multiple hot tubs and grills. Granite in kitchen and bath.
Next favorite is GC Peak 7, also close to Gondola, Cucumber Gulch Preserve Trail and White River National Forest Trailhead which takes you to Frisco where you can get a free bus back. Peak 7 has gorgeous views but my favorite is North building, West side facing the woods. There is only one pool area for both buildings and its difficult to find a chair. Lobby is gorgeous and they have an acoustic guitar player/singer on weekends. Granite in kitchen and bath. It has a.c. in living room which doesn't reach bedrooms.
Lastly we stayed at Grand Timber Lodge, which has two pool areas and free cookies at 4pm. This one is dated and fitness area is cramped. TV was much smaller than previous two. There is no a.c. and with windows open you have to listen to kids screaming at the pool til 10 pm. Cooktops in kitchen are old electric coils. Bathrooms and kitchen don't have granite. Rooms tend to overlook other rooms although there are many trees on property. We hiked up Snowflake and found a beautiful lake near Breck Ed Center.
So there you have it. We had a really good summer especially up the mountain on Peaks 7 and 8.

I can't say I've stayed at any of their properties, but I did get bullied into booking one of their getaways for $99 (the guy would not get off the phone). However, once I sent a couple emails asking them to cancel my trip, I received a polite reply from their marketing guest services manager, who apologized and processed my refund. I really appreciated the refund, which was the only redeeming feature of my experience.

Slimey. Telemarketers. Extremely rude... here are the first 3 things that came to mind when I began to receive unsolicited telemarketing calls from this company and it's agents. I mention agents because when I originally started to receive these calls a few months ago, I was informed by the caller they were a contracted company operating on BGV's behalf, and therefore were not required to adhere to the industry Do Not Call List or BGV's own internal Do Not Call List.

With a phone marketing plan like this and the outright refusal to put potential cold call customers on a DNC list and stick to it just reeks of boiler-room back office nonsense. I, nor any other respectable consumer, should do business with BGV. Doing so just propagates their efforts to continue the shady practice. t's been 7 months now and they keep on calling. Thankfully, I no longer answer their calls.

We were offered a 2 night stay in Breckenridge to go on this tour. We wanted to take advantage of the cheap discount at the hotel since we just had a baby and for our anniversary. We went on our tour and really enjoyed all the insentives, how it looked and felt. We almost did it! Unfortunately, with 2 small children we couldn't afford it at this time. We read some reviews and were scared of them trying to pressure us and get nasty when we said no. That didn't happen at all. They understood our situation and shook our hand and sent us on our way. Thanks to Dave Magee for being respectful and understanding.

I am being scammed and there is nothing I can do about it.... I have been trying to cancel a $99 promotion for 3 days now. No one will pick up the phone. The phone will not let me leave a message and will not let me "press 1" for them to call me when they are available. This is just plain insanity. These people should be arrested. They took my money without being truthful to the terms and conditions. When I read the terms and conditions I called them out on them, and they told me to wait for a confirmation and then cancel. Never a confirmation and have been trying to call them every day since.

Don't get fooled like us, seriously do not talk to these people.

I knew what we were getting into when I booked the super inexpensive room for the weekend. Actually we asked for a bigger space the day we were arriving and the rep on the phone changed up our lodging to a larger space (Gold Point) without an upcharge which was nice. My partner and I knew we couldn't bail on the "timeshare" tour so we went. We were skeptical from the start and were almost convinced... but it wasn't a decision we wanted to make on the spot. I will say, the sales manager we met, Jamie Coons, was a nice guy and not sleazy at all. He wasn't pushy or rude like salespeople can be and we appreciated that. Even after we said we weren't going to put money down, he was respectful and nice.

Careful with this - if the deal seems too good to be true, its because it is. Against my better judgement we booked this stay, and agreed to spend some time looking into a timeshare at the Grand Lodge property. What the agent failed to make clear, is that the stay was at the Breck Inn, not at a comparable location to the Grand Lodge (which I don't think is complete yet). When we realized this, we couldn't get a refund. What I don't understand is why they would think anyone in the market to buy time at the Grand Lodge would be OK with a stay at the Breck Inn. $100 lesson learned.

Staying in Breckenridge at promotional pricing to ...

Staying in Breckenridge at promotional pricing to listen to a sales pitch from BGV and being upgraded to a recently renovated condominum = great value.

Investing in fractional real estate with BGV isn't a good deal unless A. you can finance with someone other than BGV or B. Can pay in one lump sum.

Our salesperson's favorite tactic - running the vacation calculator! Okay, let's punch in some numbers. Now, look, doesn't purchasing make more sense than renting? You're looking at 52K in rentals versus this 38K property!

Run the numbers and you're left with this:
38,388 property on Grand 8 for a Master.
15% down = 5,758 + 768 transfer fee going to Breck + $450 closing costs = 6,976
120 Month loan term with 14.9% Interest = $524.44 a month.
120*524.44 = $62,932.8
Add $6,976 + estimated $1,100 HOA fees per year for 10 years ($11,000) and you arrive at a Grand Total of:
$80,908.8 for a property valued at $38,388. This means you're paying 111% more than the property is worth once you've paid everything off.

Looks like renting might actually be a better deal especially if you have to pay an additional $20,000 for a club membership.

They want your money, not your satisfaction.
I booked a two night stay at the Breck Inn in exchange for the timeshare sales pitch.
I70 was shutdown due to snow and I couldn't get to the hotel.
They "understood" but instead of returning my $200 hotel room fee, they decided to keep it. When I protested, they quoted the sales contract to me.
Although I'm out $200, at least I got to see what type of company they are. Steer clear.

They called me after I had signed up to "win" at a Christy Sports event. I got the call while I was driving and am occasionally on-call for work and since I didn't recognize the number I picked up. He explained that I could get a two night stay in Breckenridge for $99 if I came by the property and listened to the two-hour tour. I said, "I'm driving and trying to navigate somewh------"and hear "Ok whatever - click" he hung up on me without me even getting to say "I might be interested but can you call me back at another time?". We knew there would be a sales presentation and kept an open mind.

A lot more affordable than we thought.
The place is AMAZING!!!! and as far as timeshares are concerned this one had all the perks and was flexible enough to accommodate our life styles. We couldn t make it work it was awkward timing for us.
But Matt and Dave were great. Dave tried his best.

Received a call about touring their property. The kicker is it's only 99 dollars to stay prior to doing the tour. All sounded great! They told me they would send an email confirming everything after my payment. They never did. Called the two numbers back that called me and they would ring then hang up. Found the main number and got in touch with marketing. The lady on the phone was rude and said we don't have your email. Wouldn't you call right back if you realized you didn't have my email. Asked for a refund which they did but then the rude lady hung up on me!

We have owned at Grand Timber Lodge for 12 years and have had absolutely no regrets about the purchase. We have always used our allocated week at GTL and in alternate years used our banked studio with II to have an apartment at GTL. Owner Dues have stayed reasonable and we have always had a fantastic week skiing, almost always our first choice week (no children so can avoid vacation periods), friendly and helpful staff. This timeshare has been good value for us, unlike one we owned previously in UK which was expensive and never gave us good exchanges.

other golf courses are fully booked and no one is responding to anything. What a scam.

Same experience as others. One of the two of us got the stomach flu and couldn t attend the tour. No one at the Concierge or Front Desk could tell us if we would get additional charges. If they had told us $300, we would have gone ahead and infected our tour guide.

What s worse, during our stay, half the hotel was under renovation which left nowhere for the healthy ones to hang out. It advertised game and/or common rooms AND THERE WERE NONE AVAILABLE. The only room that wasn t under renovation had a private party going on.

Absolutely not worth even the discount rate. Even the shuttle to town was off. Drove right by me seconds after confirming with the bus driver that we were there.

I read a lot of the negative reviews. I understand people can experience poor customer service sometimes, but we had a great experience at Grand Lodge Peak 7. We did receive the cheaper rate for agreeing to the listening to the sales presentation for the properties, Grand Lodge and the new Grand Colorado. Breckenridge Grand Vacation was VERY CLEAR about the rules in order to get the rate, attend the 2 hour talk WITH your spouse. You can reschedule if necessary. We received at least 5 notifications stressing these rules and terms prior to our arrival. At the presentation, we didn t feel pressure. Ultimately, you just have to decide if this is the right situation for your family. If it s not, just say no thank you and get your $59/night rate at an elite property and continue on with your vacation . It is not a scam, you just have to understand what you are agreeing to when you make your reservation in the first place. If something happens, communicate with the management to help you.
The shuttle was always working and timely, the property was clean, the staff was friendly and attentive, the gondolas are a great mode of transportation, and our small suite was comfortable.
We did end up purchasing a 1 week, indefinitely, at a great price, but it was a good value for us and our family at this point in our life.
Regardless, we love the town of Breckenridge and it s awesome staying at a elite resort. We love being able to swap our week for any of the 3,300 resorts worldwide and the other benefits with being owners.
To get the super low rate, you HAVE to go with your spouse(if applicable), to the presentation. It s not a scam. Beyond that, the choice is YOURS.

They called us to offer a stay in exchange for listening to sales pitch. The original accommodations they offer for the cheap rate are a little bit further away. For an up charge we decided to stay on peak 8 (I think, maybe 9) so we could see what the place was like.

Place was very nice, underground covered parking, ski in/ski out, ski lockers right inside the doors. Lobby and common areas were nice, but carpet and paint need upgrade and was starting to show wear. The room itself was very nice. 1 bedroom with kitchen and dining room/living room.

Now to the presentation. Guy was nice off the bat and asked a lot of questions about our vacation habits. I was very upfront with him and said we weren t buying anything, but would be open to the presentation. He showed us a couple different room types and they were all very nice. We got back to his desk and he started into his script about how much sense timeshares make, that they can be traded for other locations, they are selling out, etc.

The problem is he was trying to sell us a week in the fall or spring when we told him we were skiers. They do this bc it s cheaper. It was around $40k for the cheaper weeks. When we inquired about more desired weeks we were quoted anywhere between $200-$250k.

When you look at the amortization schedule at the interest rate they offer, you will end up paying double the price of the timeshare. I asked about this and he said most pay cash so they don t get their required interest rate. I tried to inform him of PV and FV of money but he seemed more content to argue what a deal it was.

When I told him I don t buy anything on impulse his attitude and demeanor changed. The questions he asked earlier in presentation were then turned around on us to pressure us into a sale. I get it, his job is to sell these things and the odds of buying once you leave are probably next to nil.

They next brought his manager closer in for one last sale and offer a can t beat return trip to the property. I politely declined and this guy got a little testy so I asked him, if time shares are so desirable, why are there so many commercials on tv helping you to get out of them? . He thanked me for my time and said we could leave.

We did the stay and tour from December 21-23, 2018...

We did the stay and tour from December 21-23, 2018. Originally we were scheduled to stay at the Breck Inn but a few days before our stay we received an offer to upgrade and move to Beaver Run Resort. I m not sure what the accommodations were like at Breck Inn but Beaver Run was pretty rundown. The hallways were narrow and dingy, not very inviting at all. The room itself was alright, however there were multiple incidences where the building s smoke alarm went off at night and not once did hotel staff contact guests or announce that it was a false alert. The overall stay was mediocre at best.

Now to the tour and outcome. The person that scheduled it and the confirmations all stated it would be 90 minutes, that s a huge lie. The tour itself was over 90 minutes and then the aggressive, pressurized sales made our total time there closer to 4.5 hours that my husband and I wound up being there for. We were there for so long that lunch had passed and I was starving. Our tour guide, Glenda Luck, used food as an incentive to stay longer even though I stated that I didn t think it was a good financial decision for our family at the time. I don t disagree with what they re selling, and it makes sense for our family since we do travel often annually. The overall sales tactics were extremely aggressive and disrespectful to our time.

After being there for hours, being mentally exhausted and just wanting it to be over with; we finally agreed to purchase. As it was explained to us, it s an ownership of the property. To me that translates to you can do as you wish with that ownership. In fact, as Glenda repeatedly stated, this was a major difference between what they re selling and a traditional timeshare. A month later, we ve had multiple things come up that neccissitate we get rid of unnecessary expenses. This ownership is an obvious, easy one especially since we aren t even able to use it until spring/fall of next year. Even if our personal situation wasn t the case , as it was repeatedly stated to us, we should be able to sell our ownership. That s not the case though as we discovered today. My husband was bounced between 3 different people only to be informed that the only way we could sell the property or relinquish our investment into it would be to pay off the loan. I m unaware of any kind of loan or contract agreement, that would stand in a court setting, that violates consumer rights as terribly as this. I will be contacting the state attorney general, BBB and an attorney to review the legality of what I see as extortion or the destruction of my credit. I will not pay for something I no longer want and have expressed my desire to sell. This company sales tactics and now refusal to allow us to sell the property are extremely predatory and I m guessing not fully legal.

We got a 2 night stay in exchange for 2 hours of our time to listen to the sales pitch for a timeshare. We filled out a survey, answered no that we didn't own yet. From the start, I told the guy we were there simply to gain more information and I wouldn't be purchasing anything that day. I would take their information and get back to them if I was interested. Like other reviewers say, once they realize you won't buy the same day, they become rude and cold shoulder-ish. But make you continue the presentation anyways. He got so mad and just kept wanting to know why wouldn't we purchase. And I explained we were debating on what to buy a home or something else. He stopped being rude, and apologized then thanked us for our time. Saif he didnt know how we were allowed to be there as non home owners. The company knew . But His whole demeanor changed ... "well if I'd known you didn't own a home yet I'd have gotten you outta here an hour ago".. then looked at the paper in his hand and circled where it said no to the question and said we has to fill out some survey and some one would come check us out. We waited 5 minutes, no one came so we just left. Couldn't get out of there soon enough.

Breckenridge Grand Vacations:

Breckenridge Grand Vacations:
Early in the year of 2012 an associate of Breckinridge Grand Vacation Resorts contacted me & informed me of a promotional offer to stay at the resort for 3 night's. I accepted the offer and paid my one time fee, OR SO I THOUGHT! I re-scheduled once for Jan. 3-5 of 2013. Now I was unable to meet that certain date due to my wife having an early pregnancy with our 3rd child. I did not receive a courtesy call or a letter with a friendly reminder that my vacation was nearing. The resort took $641.12 out of my account on Jan. 9, 2013. I never authorized this payment nor was I in any type of agreement to pay this kind of money. Now I'm out these funds which could have went towards my new baby girl. Now I realize this resort is going to tell me I should have read the fine print, but this review is being written to let the public be aware of what this corporation will do to you if you do not read between the line's. This is a prime example of what is wrong with society today. It is fairly easy to fool the average family into these sorts of things. So be weary of BRECKINRIDGE RESORTS as their agents/associates will con you into something that you do not know what you're getting into until it's to late! GOOD LUCK...

My wife and I signed up for a few days at Breckinridge at a booth at a Denver area market, for what seemed like a good deal. I was unfortunately sick and unable to join, and she discovered that they would not honor the deal without me present.

So, part of the marketing should be a short, detailed pamphlet with this kind of instruction. I would have had to have planned to join them somehow, and spread my germs, in order to not have to pay the exhorbitant charges for the hotel room.

I am glad that more people are getting used to checking Google and Yelp reviews on programs like this. It will put an end to these problems.

My husband signed us up for the two nights for $99.00. We were not able to attend so my husband called and cancelled our reservations, well about a week or so later they stole $394.00 out of our checking account. I called and spoke with a woman by the name of Sarin who was rude and no help at all. She basically said that they would not return my stolen money unless we attended the 90 minute seminar so I rescheduled the seminar and I asked to have it in writing that if we attend the seminar, Breckinridge Grand Vacations would return the stolen $394.00. I received an email but of course no mention of them returning the stolen money. I have sent 4 request now for an email with the information but no response. PLEASE DON'T WASTE YOUR TIME WITH THIS COMPANY, IT'S A COMPLETE RIP OFF AND THEY WILL STEAL YOUR MONEY.

Absolutely horrible experience! Do not spend your money on sub par accommodations. The room we booked was dirty, smelled like cigarette, hot and beds extremely uncomfortable! Nobody got sleep and we cut our visit short. Staff was the worst! When we did our timeshare tour I asked how they could try to sell us something when the accommodations were so awful and they seemed to get offended and lost interest in trying to make a sale and quickly ushered us out the door. Pompous used car sales team is all this company is. Not once did they try to make our visit a pleasant experience even after bringing to their attention our complaints. Beaver run is where we stayed vacationers beware. It's dirty, outdated and not what the website claims, shame because the town of Breckenridge is beautiful sadly it's tarnished for us by this awful experience.

I was contacted and agreed to the weekend stay and was told that if I did not attend the tour I would be charged the full amount for the room. I had second thoughts and tried calling them back and left three messages. Like some people on here I found that frustrating. I then Googled them found a 1-888 number and called it. Brittnay answered right away (after going through the phone tree) and I was able to cancel with out a headache. She was very pleasant. we shall see if the money is credited back on my card. I have received he cancellation email so I have no reason to believe that it will not get credited back.

They tell you right on the phone when you agree to do this (even before getting your credit card information) that you have to go through the tour or get charged the full rate. they tell you before taking your information that you can reschedule up to two or three times but no more. This is not a scam, people have to take responsibility for their actions... don't blame someone else because you were not paying attention.
