We drove 13 hours to this place and were in need of some sleep. Sadly, we didn't get any when we got there. The resort looked nice in the main lobby but the rooms had a HORRIBLE SMELL!! After going back to the front desk and explaining the smell, we were able to change rooms, but the second room had the same exact HORRIBLE SMELL! We knew there was no way that we were going to be able to get any rest and relax in any of the rooms there due to the smell which was making me feel sick, so I went back to the front desk and returned the room key and asked that the deposit be refunded back to my card as we had decided that we were going to find another place to stay that didn't smell so badly. DON'T BE FOOLED BY THE PICTURES AS I WAS!!!!!!

I decided to take a last minute staycation and I ...

I decided to take a last minute staycation and I thought to stay here out west. I should have stayed home because I did not enjoy my stay at all. When I had booked the hotel room Friday afternoon through the website, upon arrival I didn't expect to have to wait nearly 30 minutes to get checked in so late. They must have had a big sw airline because they had about 15 crew members checking in. Mind you I'm on crutches waiting and not one person offered any type of assistance or assuring me to have a seat and wait to get called so my spot in line wouldn't be taken. When I finally get to the front desk lady Melodee although she seemed polite when she had a hard time pulling up my reservations she asked me if I booked it from a "third party" and I told her no and I even pulled up the confirmation number. that's she handed over my license and credit card to another man who seemed he might have been the front desk manager he told me that since my reservation is not in the system that he has to "walk me in" then asked for my email to see what I got the room rate. By the time another 30 minutes has passed by it was late in the night after midnight because crew members were trying to keep the bar open past the closing time. I finally got to my room after 1 am . The next day I stayed in the room until I went to get food for lunch and then again take out late that night at flanigans with my bf when we returned to the hotel room at around 1 both room keys weren't working. So I went to the front desk. They gave me a new room key and I went back to the room to try the key. The front desk lady informed me if I had any issues to call the number on so I don't have to physically walk back in especially since i'm on crutches. When I went back to the room the new keys still didn't work. At that point in time I was tired hungry and frustrated at 2 am all I wanted to do was get in my room and eat and sleep an I couldn't even do that! I called the number and got the answering machine and I called the second time and got the operator and when I informed them of the issue I was having they said they were going to send security. Ten minutes later the security came and tried all three of his keys and it sill didn't work. He left and came back 3 times and the last time brought a key to another room and said if doesn't work that we would have to stay in another room. Sure enough it didn't work he drove me to the next building while my bf had to walk over and He apologized it was after 3 am by then. I was mad we didn't have our clothes, toiletries, anything to charge our dying phones and most importantly my medication that I needed to take daily from my knee surgery. I had to call back and ask for them to bring a charger. I didn't get much sleep knowing all my personal belongings were locked in another room. I called front desk around 7 or 8 am they told me they got it open that morning and they were going to call at 10 they weren't trying to "wake me up" but how could I sleep good; the lady asked if I wanted someone to bring the keys to my new room I said yes, 15 minutes went by and I called back and when I was on the phone that's when I heard them knocking with the room key. When I opened the door the guy handed me the key and i asked, "Did you check too see if it worked?" He said " I will go check it for you". In my head he should have 1. checked to make sure the key works and two brought a cart to transport us to the old room. after about 15 minutes of waiting for him to return I ended up walking on my crutches to the next building because the guy went back up to the front office picked up cart and when I saw he wasn't at my original room I became mad. How backwards can people be? Long story short at check out I asked to speak with the manager and she informed me that they would comp. THAT night only and said she would have called back she took my number down and no one has yet called and this is two days after I checked out. Clearly they don't care about their customers!!!!!

I brought my wife to the spa for a surprise treatment. Since I was going to have to wait about 2 1/2 hours, I was planning to pay their $25 fee to use the facility while I waited. But when we checked in, they recommended that I get a service, and suggested a manicure since it was only $20, and also included the full use of the facility. So I figured why not. I appreciated that they actually saved me money, and I got a nice service done as well. My wife thoroughly enjoyed her Alaya ritual treatment.

While I waited for her, I enjoyed the hot tub, and steam room in the men's locker area. The attendant was very nice, and provided me with two towels, slippers, and a nice bathrobe. They have lockers with keys where you can leave your personal items. There's also a TV viewing room with cold water. They have cucumber, lemon, and plain to choose from.

After I finished in there, my wife still wasn't out yet, and the receptionist suggested that I go hang out in the tea room. This room is where people who are getting massages and other treatments are taken to wait for their therapist to come get them. There are very comfortable couches and chairs, and a selection of water, and different Tazo tea's. They also had some savory snacks on the table, which I enjoyed. There were even a couple organic apples sitting there. It's a very peaceful place.

You can hardly beat the value of these amenities, if you do something as basic as a manicure. You can use the facility all day if you wish. This even includes their outdoor pool and hot tub.

Overall, I would recommend this spa highly.

I had high hopes and expectations of this "resort"...

I had high hopes and expectations of this "resort" based on a friends recommendation. It's obvious based on my experience that my friend stayed in a different building. I stayed in building 4 which I don't recommend. The customer service is seriously lacking. Upon checking in I advised the lady that I saw that I could get a room upgrade if I checked in. She then told me that I was already upgraded to a two bed suite..umm ok but isn't that what I initially paid for? I made it very clear that I wanted to be in the renovated building due to the bad reviews I saw online. She then said they only had one building that had been renovated. While driving up to our building I wasn't impressed at all. The buildings looked very dated and we saw several stray cats running around. After entering the room there was small ants and gnats in the kitchen area.

Bathroom issues:
1. There were not enough washcloths only 2 but 3 people were listed on the reservation. I called downstairs and they promptly brought more up.
2. The shower had mold and mildew
3. The shower head was filthy
4. The shower drain smelled of sewage mixed with hair relaxer when taking a shower

Room issues:
1. The furniture had a few tears
2. The sheets were hard and thin
3. The mattress was old and squeaky
4. The T.V. had horrible clarity. I'm not sure if they are using antenna service but it was definitely hard to watch.

Pool issues:
1. The pool was dirty it looked like it hasn't been cleaned in some time.
2. The guy that was working the pool area appeared as if he wanted to give up on life. After speaking with him for a while he came around. Maybe he just doesn't like his job.

After leaving the pool my family and I were headed to get something to eat when an employee came speeding through the parking lot and almost hit us head on. Upon checking out the person working the front desk didn't even ask how my stay one. If you're seriously looking for a 4-star resort this is not the place.

Was there for a conference so did not get to enjoy the amenities. It is very spread out and especially with the weather made it difficult to get around. Needs to be updated but overall was a good experience.

THE WORST hotel ever! I mean there are better rooms and better BEDS on a comfort inn or home inn. The manager (balde) was useless. We had to sleep on the floor since their beds are so small, we asked for a sofa and we were denied, the room was dirty, the bed skirt was stained with blood, old tv with horrible cable connection. Poor treatment. Carpet was dirty, etc.

We were booked into a room with two full size beds that is adjacent to another room with a shared door system. The room has a small kitchen area with a two burner stove, microwave, sink, and a larger than average size mini fridge. However, there was no dishwasher and therefore no dishes! The place is quite clean though, and feels very safe and comfortable.

I was there for a conference (Feb 6, 2017) and I was given a room in Building #8. When I got in my room I felt that something was wrong here! Carpet under the beds not vacuumed and dirty furniture! I had to pull the refrigerator to check.... disgusting!!! Then I went into one of my colleague room to check and did the same thing... disgusting + a coackroach!!! We both checked out... I been travelling for 20 years for business and this is the first time I go through such a negative hotel experience! Fort Lauderdale, please clean up your hospitality business!

Location was great. Buildings / rooms are showing their age, so were just "ok". Examples: room door had to be slammed shut for the latch to engage, the room had a bit of a musty smell, most surprising was that there was no literature about the hotel, or spa services, in the room.

The hotel is in need of renovation. The TV in the room was at least 10 years old and didn't have an HDMI port so we couldn't connect our Roku. Even on the local stations the picture was terrible. The bed was firm and comfy though. The pool was very nice, the poolside bartender made a very good bloody mary and the onsite restaurant, Ireland's, had amazing food. Truly one of the best bone in rib eye steaks I've ever had. The lobster mac and cheese was amazing too. I'd have rated the hotel higher if it had been renovated, it's a little run down but overall a good experience.

This was a two day event beginning on a Saturday & ending Sunday. I chose the Sunday conference. The resort was beautiful, luxoriois. We had breakfast and lunch which was great. Lots of variety. Never had grapefruit orange juice. Nice. Overall I was very satisfied with my time spent there.

The staff was rude, the room was dated and had no towels. There were just too many problems to list. This place is not worth what they are charging at all. We paid resort prices and got less than Days inn quality. Never again.......

The staff and the pool were really nice but the rooms need to be updated badly. We stayed in a one bedroom suite and the pullout bed mattress was so flat and uncomfortable. Also the master room didn t have a fitted sheet just 2 top sheets which was weird.

Nice hotel. Parking is tight depending on what building you are staying in. There are definitely more rooms than parking spots and the markings are confusing. The WiFi is terrible for a "4-star" hotel. Stayed in a 1st floor room and the WiFi connection worked if I stood by the front door but was inconsistent by the desk on the other side of the room.

This hotel was unfortunately a bit disappointing. First of all, for the price your paying, it shockingly has the entrance to the rooms accessed via exterior corridors: you can park directly in front of your room if you are on the first floor, i.e. LIKE A MOTEL. I stayed in the one bedroom suite which had a fridge, microwave, stove and sink. Surprised that there was not one utensil which rendered the stove pretty pointless. Yes the room in general had fancy furnishings, but after we were ready to go to bed and the lights were dimmed, I walk into the kitchen to find to my COMPLETE HORROR & UTTER DISGUST, A GIANT COCKROACH skittering away! Eew! People were out by the pool talking extremely loudly at 11:30PM on a Tuesday night. You know, thank God this hotel was paid for by the company. Now know not to ever pay for this exorbitantly expensive room of my own accord. Ever.

Upon our arrival, we were given the 2 rooms we had...

Upon our arrival, we were given the 2 rooms we had booked; one for our kids and one for my husband and myself. Unfortunately, the rooms were in 2 different buildings even tho, we had requested them to be at least on the same floor. The first room my husband and I walked in to had an overwhelming odor of mildew. I couldn't even stay in the room very long because my lungs were burning so badly. We requested a new room that did not have this problem. I had to sit on a chair in the outdoor corridor while we waited. After 30 minutes, my husband became frustrated that the other room was still not ready so he asked them to just give us another room in another building. This 3rd room was ok, but still had a strong smell of mildew. We were so exhausted from traveling that we just took the room. I like to unpack when I travel, rather than living out of my suitcase but, when I opened the drawers of the gorgeous dresser, the concentrated smell of mildew almost knocked me over. Obviously the mildew issue has been going on for a very long time for the wood to have absorbed so much mold. It's a shame because the furniture really was very beautiful and well made.

We are at home now and I really regret keeping that 3rd room! I became very ill after our return with a sinus infection due to the moldy air in that room. Everything that we brought into the room came out smelling moldy, including my cpap supplies and machine. I had to replace everything except the machine itself. The supplies are expensive and not covered by my insurance because it wasn't time for my regular re-supply to be sent out. All of the clothing, shoes, personal care items and the suitcases we used had to be washed and sanitized. NOT exactly what I had in mind when I returned from vacation!
The shower in this room needed a good scrubbing and when we called for someone to come back and clean, she made a good attempt but told me that it was just old grout. After she left, I went back behind her and was able to clean up the thick soap scum with the edge of our room key........
Our room also lacked a refrigerator so we called the front desk and they said they'd bring one up right away. We got our fridge soon after but it was nothing more that one of those tiny dorm room sized ones. The only place to put it was on the carpet......yuck........
The main pool area was beautiful and well kept however, unless you got out there very early in the morning to get a lounge chair, there was no place to sit. I asked the towel attendant as well as the front desk and was told that there are no more chairs. There were only about 20 chairs available in this very large area. You'd think that they would have chairs in storage to bring out during peak times. It was very disappointing not to be able to go out to the pool and just sit in the sun and relax.
I would have to give the morning breakfast fare about a "C". For $17.00 for the buffet, I don't expect to have to eat powdered (disgusting) eggs. We chose Ihop for the other mornings that we were there.
One positive note, the staff were all very professional, respectful and very responsive to anything that we asked for. Despite such wonderful staff, we will not be back there again. Their rooms and ventilation system need to be completely gutted and refitted with new in order to get rid of this mildew problem. This resort isn't even on the water so, I can't understand why mildew is such an issue. As we strolled outside we could actually see black mold growing on the exterior vents of these rooms! Honestly, we couldn't get out of there fast enough!!

I got this hotel through orbitz and ended up paying full price anyway because they had 18$ resort fees per night. I called to confirm and made sure that was all, they said yes. Upon checking in, was slapped with a $100 security deposit PER NIGHT. Sercurity for what? The cheap flat screen that's not an HDTV, which was extremely disappointing. The 10 channels it did have were the worst quality and I couldn't even use my laptop to connect onto it because it did not have an HDMI input.

There is NO PRIVACY. The walls are so thin and there is a connecting door with your neighbors. You forget how much you hate the sound of screaming kids at 1am until you can hear the parents having a full on conversation. It's that thin. We asked to be moved and were, until a couple hours later a new guest arrived. You can hear the door slamming and the kids talking.
Becoming intimate is a nightmare when your neighbors are a breath away.

Wifi was slow and horrible, luckily it wasn't a business trip.

Bathroom is covered in granite, beautiful to look at but a huge hazard. The shower had a glass door that let water soak the floor. After using every towel to dry, still nearly slipped on the tiny drip on water by the sink. The only thing I liked in this hotel was the bidet.

Pool side doesn't have enough chairs or umbrellas, there is nothing covering you from the Florida heat.

BREAKFAST IS NOT FREE! We unknowingly paid 15$ per person for their breakfast buffet. We paid tip because they gave us coffee, but it really was not the type of breakfast I would've paid for.

Good luck traveling through the maze to get to the actual hotel. So many small turns and it's so dark, we ended up getting hit right before we checked in.

I wanted to cry it was such a horrible experience. This is probably the worst hotel I have ever stayed in. I will never go back.

It's very beautiful here, however the shower has the worst water pressure ever! Then there's the restaurant.... omg sooo understaffed! Took 30 min to take my order and another 30 to bring my sandwich. The fries were cold and they forgot my drink and I waited another 15 min for that. No tip today, sorry not sorry, I tipped with patience today. And I'm here attending a large convention, you would think they would be better prepared.

The staff is friendly and attentive. The main building is well kept and nice. Guest rooms are a bit dated and should be upgraded. In the room the WiFi did not work (not strong enough signal). Called several times and every time politely I was told they will work on it. But the WiFi did not work at all in my room for my entire stay.
