Bonaventure Resort and Spa Review

Amazing staff and amenities. My wife and I are in love with their Spa and Gym!

Excellent service, cleaning and suites. The only thing that would improve is that there was more tourist information to visit, like the flamingo park or information of shows in the town center. Likewise, inside the hotel they have the best steakhouse and beautiful nature.

Good location however rooms could be kept up better...got no sleep loud party...phone didn't work remote didn't work and front desk was in willing to offer any consessions... Waiter in restaurants were great...

The room was large and had a great bathroom but the furniture was a bit dayed

The rooms are amazing I really enjoyed my stay there one thing I would recommend would be clocks the hotel packs clocks u are constantly stuck asking workers what time is it

Thrilled with Bonaventure ! Immediately after arriving every employee was super polite and nice and made us feel welcomed. Their prices are straightforward, unlike the hotel we stayed at last night that was $70 to park (for two cars a day) plus random unexplained resorts fees on top of already expensive room rates. I m very pleased we switched to here. The king size room is huge with a very large bathroom and closet. I m impressed ! Will return next time we need a hotel in southern Florida. The pool and waterfall are beautiful too.

There was a line out the door to check in. Staff didn't seem to care. Room was full of mosquitos every night. I could see thousands of small bugs crawling out of cracks in the crown molding. Self parking was scarce. No help with bags. No hook up for electric vehicles. Room key stopped working during stay. Management couldn't care less. All this for $300/night.

My family and I were at the resort recently and had a wonderful experience. With the current pandemic we were hesitant to travel. Our experience at the resort made us feel so comfortable. We met Sheena and her team and they provided service like no other! They made sure that everyone was wearing their masks and practicing social distancing. It was an extra level of security knowing they were on top of things. The resort was excellent and provided us an oasis to escape to. Thank you for a great stay!

We came with a fairly large group bit had sent all the rooming info WELL in advanced. It took them an hour to get our part of the group checked in. I was put in a building on the complete opposite side of the resort from the rest of my group. The wifi didn't work in the room. Some rooms got towels when housekeeping came, some didn't. They accidentally charged someone from our party 1000 for the deposit instead of 100. I was glad that we kept so busy away from the hotel for our stay!

Stayed at the Bonaventure a couple nights prior to cruising to the Bahamas. Scott R. took care of us and we were in Building 7. Room was clean, nice and large - just a bit outdated. Ate at The Banyan Restaurant and Cafe Zen which both had good food and good service! Next time we visit we will have to try the spa amenities. Thank you Bonaventure!

The check out schedule is unfair, 10 am nowhere in the world. Very nice place but no customer support

The Resort is old and out dated. There is no fridge or microwave that comes in the room and for the price I paid, that should have definitely been included. They charge a deposit and not sure why bc there is nothing that can be damaged because everything was old, smells and dust particles all on the top of the ceiling & bed. We had to go buy a blanket because we received 2 dirty ones and a candle. We had to change rooms because the water didn't get hot in the sink and the chair had stains over it. The TV's imagine was so dark, i think they was about to go out. Which is truely sad bc this is a Resort & Spa. I gave it a 1 because the staff was so pleasant and its a wonderful mall to shop at, not too far from the location...
If I coould have received at least half of my money back, we would have left.
I was disappointed bc I call myself taken my husband somewhere he would be impressed with....

Stayed at this location for a Conference. Rooms are outdated/musty, fixtures in bathroom are rusted, beds are old. First room I was assigned was on the 4th floor and had a mini-fridge. Saw a large roach scurry under the fridge after opening it. I would expect better pest control from a resort of this nature. I know it's Florida but this was the 4th floor. Staff offered for me to move rooms which I accepted. They upgraded me to a suite at no extra charge. The only difference in the suite was that it included a kitchenette. The kitchenette, however, had no cooking items to accompany the stove top (not a single pot/pan, silverware, plate, etc). There was a microwave which the other room didn't have but if I was paying for this upgrade, I would expect a little more in terms of what the kitchenette offered. Needless to say, if I return for this conference again in the future, I will be booking accommodations at another location.

Nice place. Room was small and i could hear everything. Breakfast was good and didnt go to d pool but looked nice. Bar in main area was nice. The place is dated. Dont get room by elevator. People are inconsiderate and talk as if d person next to them is far away. All in all good.

Great place but little isolated from Miami downtown

Although still advertised as such, it is NOT a Hyatt hotel any longer. Room dated and musty. The whole place not very well kept. Would not go back.

Zero star....Worst services for a "resort" ever. Don't waste your time and money. We were "removed" from lobby area while waiting for pizza for kids soccer team to eat. Furthermore, was told we can't "hang out" in the lobby. Beds were not queen size as advertised. Room key cards didn't work, had to go back to front desk twice after checking in. Front desk was a mad house, with upset guests trying to check in. Every guest was upset about something or another. Extremely disappointed.

Ate at Bar Zen. So lovely, very good food, and never a crowd service is always attentive. An annual event when we visit Weston.

The restaurant did was really good. The atmosphere was nice. The staff was nice. They responded to my calls timely. For the price is definitely a great bang for your buck

the rooms smell damp. The excellent attention. Very good breakfast

Was there for a conference and dinner. The conference area was clean, organized and the cleanup after was efficient. The dinner was delicious. They even made extra types of ethnic food based based on the prior requests of the attendees.

This place is a fraud! The pictures on the website are NOTHING like how they are in person. the place is run down and old and needs renovation. their description of two sleeping areas was actually just a pull out couch. also phone in room was not working and door wouldn t close properly. terrible terrible service. PLEASE SAVE YOUR MONEY!

The rooms in Building 8 are fine for guys but dint find it to be a very family place. Spring mattresses. Rooms were spacious enough though.

While this place is not exactly a dump, the use of the word "Resort" in the title is a far stretch. I would argue the rooms here are "on par" with a Red Roof Inn. This is actually my second stay here in 15 years & I am sad to report that rooms have not changed since my last visit. Well... actually the musty smell in the rooms/building is new. The furniture is antiquated, the LCD TV is old and still receives analog broadcasts (fuzzy), and I am pretty sure I'm sleeping on the same exact innerspring mattress as last time! While the golf course is currently undergoing construction (they don't disclose this when booking), this hotel needs a minimum $20 million dollar investment to bring the rooms and amenities to modern specifications. In all, this hotel is in serious need for a renovation.

Update: After my first night trying to sleep, my wife and I were awoken by people talking and a baby screaming through paper thin walls. When expressing our concerns to the front desk, they were rude and offered no resolution. Even with the prospect of not having a hotel for the rest of our stay, we decided to check out.

Everything was great except no refrigerator in our room. We had to call and ask for one.

The landscaping is beautiful, but the rooms lack basic necessities found in most resorts with kitchenettes like cooking ware, plates, and silverware. Pool areas are nice. Zen bar staff didnt seem very happy to wait on us any of the four times we went and ate.

This hotel is an epic fail for one reason. They do not keep the air conditioning on in the rooms when they not occupied! They have a huge MOLD MOLD MOLD problem! I am not a sensitive person and I have never written a rewiew for anything before. I do not want you to get SICK!! As soon as I entered to room Icould smell the must and MOLD . I couldn't even put my clothes in the dresser it smelled sooo bad ! My nose started to run, I started coughing and my eyes started running! I thought Icould tough out 2 days here but by morning I felt so sick I had to cancel my next night and go to a different hotel!

If anyone out there is trying to find deals for hotels head to . booked a resort on there and they had the absolute best rates any where!

Absolutely beautiful hotel and conference center. Marble floors, super comfy beds,great sleep. Bidets, separate tub and shower, dual sinks, lots of natural light. The accommodation are high class for reasonable rates. Huge conference center, buffet and steakhouse on-site. Spa and Zen garden on site. The rooms were like apartments and practically sound proof. I wish I had been staying longer.

Beautiful resort...very clean, comfortable..the view of the pool was beautiful. Staff was very friendly. I would recommend anyone too stay here it was so relaxing

There are many bird species in the area and great landscaping perfect for beautiful photos. If you take a walk around the grounds you'll notice the variety of plants. There is a koi pond with a swan on the premises. There is also a spa with relaxation area. Beautiful pool area. Awesome place all around.

I was there for a professional meeting. The facility was beautiful and offered ample seating space in the halls. wifi connection was spotty.

Been here a few times for company events and the staff has always been friendly and the facilities have been well maintained.

This was not up to the standards I expected from a Wyndham resort. The first room we stayed in had hair in the bathtub as well as "ring around the tub" The shower had what appeared to be black spots ( mold?) on the grout around the floor. I had to call the front desk THREE times to ask for wash clothes (never did get the blanket I requested) When the wash clothes were FINALLY delivered, around 8 pm, my husband asked the man where the nearest ice machine was and the reply was"I don't know. I will look and come back" He never did. The front desk employees were very polite and helpful though. Our trip package inludes these next two nights there, after returning from our cruise as well. I am hoping it will be better this time!

Very disappointed over all for a resort. They charged a daily resort fee of $10 ? What an insult.
Look elsewhere to stay!

Dirty and nasty nothing about this place is good at all

Went down for a week for business. The people were friendly but the reason for my 2 rating is mainly the rooms and the buildings are very ran down. The upkeep just looks old, the TV in the room was an old LG non HD TV and the beds were very uncomfortable and that reminded me of a hospital bed. I would look elsewhere for a good place to stay.

I like this place the steakhouse here is delish the breakfast buffet needs a little more but the food is ok. The food is a little pricey The rooms are nice and clean however spots r missed here and there. There are 9 buildings which r not connected to the lobby so if it rains u r screwed you have to get we also they have direct TV so if it rains u will have to find something else to do, also you have to walk from your building to the lobby which isn't that far really or wait for a ride, they will bring you just about anywhere off the property if u like. All in all I am satisfied

Amazingly gorgeous venue. We get married in front of the waterfall in the rainforest, had cocktail hour at the cabana bar and had an amazing reception in the ballroom. Food was to die for! Kristin Beer was the most helpful and amazing person there. ALL of the servers were absolutely amazing and courteous. An absolute MUST for a South Florida wedding!

So after reading all of the various reviews I felt that I should weigh in on this "resort and spa". From the outside looking in you think wow what a really nice place wonderful location in a quiet neighborhood great landscaping beautiful pool steakhouse bar etc. Then you start to take that closer look the rooms are without a question absolutely outdated from the old box TV which is fine if you are into that 90s retro life. to the old beds and dingy carpet. That being said good luck getting more than 1 one washcloth I asked and was told no by the housekeeper. Good luck getting a vending machine here Woke up super thirsty in the middle of the night only to notice the room has only two glasses no plastic cups. Also the lack of garbage cans here is unheard of as humans we seems to create garbage. It would be nice to have on of those things you put that garbage in what do they call them oh yeah a trash can please for the love of all buy some new flat screen televisions they are cheap now as well as a couple of cases of water even if you flip the bottles for 2 or 3 bucks each at least you have water for people to drink. And buy a trash can you know for things like trash. If you are booking here and getting a discount than this is the place for you. But if not and want a vacation or a place to do business than run as far and fast as you can in the opposite direction. Motel 6 is cheap but they have flat screens and vending machines oh yeah and those garbage cans.

Everything was great! The Staff are always there to serve to the fullest. Perfect place to take the kids to & have some R&R w/ the Family. For Business or Conferences it s a pleasure as well. I ve been going for years. What are you waiting for? Book w/ Bonaventure Resort & Spa now.

This is the second time that I've went to a conference at this resort. It's huge, tons of space, tons of conference rooms, decent parking. Overall a great experience, and I hope my organization never changes venues.

I went with my family to the Mother's Day Brunch, All I have to say is that it was fantastic! the food selection was awesome and delicious, very well executed so congratulations to the chef and the kitchen team. I can't finish my review without mentioning Lucia the Food & Beverage Director and Stephanie our server that day, unbelievable service and amazing attitude. Thank you for making this experience a memorable one. We will see you soon!

Terrible! Have reserved trough Priceline and they gave me , literally, the last room, no internet, flooding, etc. .... terrible hotel experience

Very clean hall with open floor plan. Nice for wedding events.

Very quiet place just to rest, there is no nightlife ... the rooms well but the cleaning is not very consecutive ... and you do not see almost employees in the place ... there is only one person at the bar and you have to be running up and down attending both the bar and the people who are in the pool. I liked it but just to rest

Great place for a get together, excellent spaces for corporate parties. My company held their holiday party here and it was clean and classy.

I have been to many resorts but this is the first that I have not full enjoyed the experience. The rooms are outdated with paper thin walls. (I could hear my neighbors' entire conversation without trying to listen), the restaurants are overpriced ($60 for a steak and an extra $10-14 for a side as everything is a La carte), and the staff seem that it is a chore just to serve you. Although there have been A total of 3 people that have helped us that were nice and helpful. This has been the worse resort experience I've ever had. It is OK if you pay less than $100 a night, but anymore than that is not worth it.
