Great dinner. Loved the atmosphere, service and food. Top class meal!
Great dinner. Loved the atmosphere, service and food. Top class meal!
A bunch of our local friends said this place was a must-eat. Headed over for some dessert after dinner at the Mangy Moose. Walked in and sat at the bar. Bartender comes over and scolds me and tells me stop using my cell phone (I was finishing up a text message). What?! Ok, whatever. Don't let it ruin the evening. Have some dessert and wine. Pay the bill. Tip well. On our way out, I walk over to the bartender and ask him what his name is (Chris) and let him know I was a little upset that he disrespected me by treating me like a child. He says, "How about you not disrespecting me be being on your fu@$ing phone!"
Excuse me?!
After dropped the 'F' bomb another time, he says, "What are you going to do? Write me up in the newspaper?"
I let him know that his behavior was a complete letdown and totally ruined our nice evening.
I've eaten in thousands of establishments...from the most expensive to the bottom of the barrel and I have NEVER been sworn at, nor treated like a child.
I would never ever recommend going to the SRG, especially if they continue to hire disrespectful bartenders like Chris.
Snake River Grill is the best place in town eat. For special occasions the staff is exceptional. We recently celebrated our 45th anniversary here and we fell in love with the staff and chef and hosts. They ALL went out of their way to make this a very happy experience for us. We live in Palm Beach and are used to eating very good food in fine restaurants. This restaurant equals them all. This place has #1 food with #1 service. We will eat here everytime we return.
Pizza appetizer was terrific, as was the Elk Osso Bucco.
This was one of the best meals of my life. Bison pot roast was excellent. Onion rings were one of a kind, and huge!
Snotty and condescending staff. If that's your jam, this place is for you. If you have no time for pretentious behaviour...move along.
To elaborate:. It was clear they didn't want us there at the restaurant. See Date Night scene at Claw ("You're welcome").
Excellent food, exceptional service, axing wine selection
Perfect spot for a peaceful date. Service and food is great and the inside is spotless. Very nice experience overall, would certainly recommend the Snake River Grill if you're in Jackson!
The green onion rings are a must. Plus all of the desserts.
A Jackson institution. Must try the tartare pizza. The servers make sure they get your entree order before they bring it out - else you might just repeat as your main course and skip the entrees.
This is also the only place in Jackson where you can get a bottle of wine at price points ranging from a brand new remote control toy truck ($50) to a used pickup truck ($9500).
Creative, sophisticated menu emphasizing local ingredients. Well prepared recipes combining standards with new seasonal dishes. Great wait staff. Wonderful wine list. Great desserts.
Food was good...They where out of dark beer... waitress was not good...
A great option for an authentic Jackson dining experience.
Great drink selection! Try the Wyoming Whiskey Outryder. And my New York strip was cooked to perfection. Highly recommend!
The food at the Snake River Grill was amazing... The Elk chops were the best I have had by a wide margin.
Every time we come to Jackson this is the only place my family says we have to eat at. Great food and service
Spot-on restaurant. Great bar, excellent food. Met a lot of really nice couples there, and we had dinner with 2 of them the next night. No complaints, no issues, and Chris the bartender was on top of his game. Highly recommended.
The service was average but the food was poor. There are a lot of great options in Jackson; this is not one of them.
This place was very hyped up for what it was. The pork was dry even with being cooked medium and gnocchi tasted only of salt and oil. The salmon was ok, but also dry around the edges. Best part was the herb salad. Also, ate the eskimo bars that were featured on 'best thing I ever ate' and it was one of the worst things I ever ate...ice cream tasted freezer burned and the chocolate tasted like sugar alcohols. Very disappointing.
Delicious dinner. Great food, great cocktails, very responsive staff. Upscale log cabin decor.
Fabulous meal! Excellent food, informed server, imaginative cuisine, intelligent staff.
I wanted to love this restaurant, but the service was not just lacking, it was nonexistent. My husband and I were dressed well and arrived on time for our reservation. We sat at a prominent table in the dining room and were basically ignored until someone 25 minutes into being seated took a drink order. It never got better. The food and wine were good, but unfortunately we will not return on our trip.
Excellent meal and service here. We had a private room for our engagement party and I left impressed. Really enjoyed the foie gras tart, bison steak and the cocktails were also well thought out and mixed.
That was delicious food! The vegan options, meat choices, and atmosphere are all wonderful...
The best dinner in Jackson! My wife and I loved the atmosphere, the food was beyond delicious. The service was well orchestrated with great conversation! We would highly recommend that anyone visiting Jackson Hole to eat dinner at The Snake River Grill.
My husband and I enjoyed the wine list and all the food specials. Great place to make wonderful memories
Outstanding service, great outdoor seating. Food was stellar as always.
I had a steak dinner, husband had chicken fried steak,it was the best we have had in years the dessert was to die for!!
Our waitress was as sweet as could be checked back on us bet didn't hover.
I highly recommend going and it has now become the place we will go to after the springs
This was my first visit to Snake River Grill, with my boyfriend, for my birthday dinner. The food was amazing. We didn't have a single dish we didn't devour or absolutely love, including the dessert. Our service wasn't quite as high class as I expected it to be, but wasn't in your face or poorly timed either, so overall, it was pretty good. The atmosphere is cozy and cabin-like with a nice ambience and a fantastic and large fireplace. It was a lovely experience. We'll definitely revisit someday soon and would recommend it to friends, family, and visitors. It is slightly pricey, so be prepared for that.
Good for people watching. Food overpriced and pretentious. Still worth stopping by..
Tasty! I am vegetarian, which seemed to offend the waitress. Strange. She said, twice, oh, so you are eating light tonight . I guess since I didn t order the Tenderloin she thought her tip was going to suffer. Anyway, what I ate was delicious! The yams, roasted cauliflower & the mushroom dish. The Caesar salad was especially yummy! Hopefully the server was pleased with her tip.
Top notch all the way around, I love the selection from the bar.
Such amazing food and great service! Great experience
Must visit if you're in Jackson Hole. So many good things on the menu it was hard to choose, but everything we had was amazing.
One of if not the best restaurants in Jackson. Make a reservation.
If you are into fancy wine and dine places this is for you..
But if you are like me and my husband and like to eat this is the review for you. My husband for his first course ordered the boar ribs. Being $15 and from Texas we thought we would get a plate full of ribs. Instead we got a stack of toothpick like ribs. I ordered the shrimp ravioli and only got four noodles. My husband also got the trout that he said was amazing. But not worth feeding 1.5 people for $100.
Yeah, so the elk steaks were to die for. And the salad and melon with prosciutto were excellent as well.
Well run with a creative menu, tasty local brews and attentive staff.
Had an outstanding dining experience tonight. The atmosphere is so cozy and the food was perfect. We were waited on my David who provided awesome service to complete our experience. Highly recommend.
Always the best choice for a special occasion. And don t miss their wine specials in the off season!
Definitely get reservations for this popular spot. French onion soup was the best I've had. The bar menu is probably the best I've seen on our trip to Jackson.
Food was fantastic, wine great, service top notch.
If I could afford it, I'd be there more often, lol.
The description of my elk steak included quite a few vegetables. Some, like beets were not on my plate. I also found it misleading, as I was expecting these to be a side, while this was garnish only! I had to order salad additionally. As far as vegetable sides, this place has very limited choice. En par with other restaurants in the area.
Prices are ridiculous.
The restaurant itself is great with an excellent ambiance. The food was quite pricey and a little underwhelming. The onion rings were really lacking in any seasoning or flavour.
We were there in July, had a wonderful dinner, I recommend this restaurant to anyone that wants a delicious dinner with great service
Food was bland. Friend got the burger and it was dry. Expensive for what your get
Delicious! Unexpectedly fabulous menu and ambience in downtown Jackson Hole, Wyo
Lived up to the hype. Unreal onion rings, great steak and lamb chops.
I had been wanting to try this restaurant since our last trip to Jackson. Our usual favorites were temporarily closed so we tried new places this trip.
I must say I was underwhelmed. The drinks and meals were just ok, nothing phenomenal at all.
Drinks:
I had the spiced cider/rum cocktail and my wife wanted a drink that was on the paper menu, but currently wasn't available. The waiter recommended an off-menu drink and she enjoyed it. I, on the other hand, thought my drink lacked the seasonal hot cider taste. It tasted like hot apple juice with rum and a bit of cinnamon. If I remember correctly, my cider was garnished with a star anise.
Dinner:
My wife had the New York (because she doesn't like Wagyu), I had the Duck, and we ordered the potatoes. The duck was better than the New York, neither of the dishes left us with a desire to return for more.
Reservations require a credit card and there is a $50 fee for cancelations. It is also stated that changes cannot be made to reservations.
I eat out quite a bit, so it's not that common that I have a "wow" meal, but I had one at the Snake River Grill. I had the lobster chowder which was delicious, while my wife had the winter greens salad. Also, delicious. We both had the New York strip. The New York is my favorite cut of steak, and this was the best I've had. Cooked to perfection. A chocolate souffle for dessert. The service was great. Just a really great evening. Dying to go back. I was really impressed with how reasonably priced it was for Jackson.
They knew it was my anniversary, as you can see from the picture! Great service. Not a lot of vegan options. Helpful people. Great website.
The atmosphere was really good, service was very good as well, food was amazing, everything we tried was really good from started to the amazing new york steak.
The prices were a bit too high.
Horrible staff, mediocre food experience, overpriced
by far the best place around considering, and an original, or as close to original, menu as you will find in this land of BBQ and fried food.
I'm a stickler for originality, and so this place was a breath of fresh air, as other spots in the area basically served different versions of the same food.
Great food and service!
Loved the hot donuts!
Food and service was real good here even though it was a last minute decision and I looked like a bum :-)
The best food in that area services good drinks are great chef is excellent
The best place where we have eaten in our circuit. Excellent trout and turbot.
Service: Indifferent, moody, and uncommunicative describes our server. The only one who actually cared was the manager.
Food: Angus Steak was cooked well to dry. What a shame. Truffle fries were dried to the consistency of a shoe box. Steak tartar pizza was okay but crust was drier than previous visits. Salmon was executed sufficiently. Seem like they are very unorganized this season.
In short, this place has turned from fine dining to the level of a pricey tourist trap. This place have gone downhill since reopening.
Wonderful, cozy atmosphere. Great selection. Wonderful food and service. One of the best meals we had in Jackson. Will go back and recommend to others .
Ambiance and location are spectacular. The food was a 3 out of 5, up until you bit into the rib eye that had a $65 price tag. This was a advertised as a wagyu rib eye, but I've had 2x better and more tender for half the price. To be fair though, others I've had elsewhere were 10 or 12 oz, and this one was 16 oz.
Was an excellent experience, very professional friendly and warm staff. The food was outstanding.
My highest recommendation. Can t wait to go back !
