I have been skiing here for more than 20 years. Nice hill lots of runs but it is often foggy. Oddly there is no development for SkiX considering it is the home of Kelsey Serwa Olympic Gold and silver medalist. Great hill for young and new skiers.

Best place I have ever skied at! Fantastic food, fantastic runs, great staff, high quality chairlifts (except the dreaded powder chair)... this place has it all. Whether you can tell or not, in my profile picture I'm wearing the "Big White" beanie. And that was not taken at Big White - I love it!

This is my favorite Vacation place ever. Everything is crazy amazing from lodges to food to snowboarding and skiing. I recommend this place to anyone even if you don't snowboard or ski. There are alot of things to do for tourist, events, bars and clubs an fun stuff in the valley. Plus best thing about this place is if don't know how to snowboard learn amazing teaching staff n terrain to begin. Or if your professional they have competitions and huge cliff jumping with 40ft+ drops. So any kind of rider can come here and enjoy!

Huge resort with lots of accommodations. Suggest reservations as it books fast and it's a good drive up the mountain if you aren't staying on the mountain.
I'm suprised at the limited number of ski shops considering the number of condos.

We really enjoyed the annual tree light up and fireworks! The kids games and things were a bit disorganized but it's so beautiful that we didn't mind. my family loved it so much we will be back for other winter sports this winter very soon!

For Vancouver folk it's a bit of a drive, but it's an amazing experience. Cabin stay is great. I stayed at the Bear, and the amenities are great also. Overall a fantastic experience when you're looking to get away and do some snowboarding or skiing. Lots of different skiing routes to choose from.

It was fabulous! Snow was amazing and powdery, visibility wasn't too great, but if you took your time it wasn't an issue. That also just had to do with the day we went. I do appreciate the amount of space available for people to eat if they brought their own lunch. They have microwaves, hot water and cutlery! Great ski hill; always a good time.

A little flat for my tastes but it s hard to argue with the early bird season pass prices they have, especially for students. Although I have had some great powder days here, and when cliff chair is open it can be a lot of fun.

One of the best mountains in North America, whether you are a pro riding solo, or a family of beginners, there is something for everyone at this glorious place... And it's the snow, the snow here is fairy untouchable. Bam.

Very helpful staff but menu was misleading at main restaurant at Happy Valley. Foods labelled as "natural ended up being far from it . Makes you wonder about everything else on the menu. Other restaurants fare better up the hill.
Tubing with the little ones was a great way to spend a Friday night.

Great place. Must try the dirtbikes it is so much fun.
Price is 159 CAD and you gotta make a 2k deposit for the bike. Staff will provide healmet glasses gloves and even snowpants or jacket if you dont have one.
The experience is amazing. I would do it 10000 times again and again

Love skiing here and this past week was so much fun! The conditions were really good, fresh snow twice and no"big white outs"! The staff in rental shop and lifties were friendly and helpful.

We put our 3yr old in ski school for his first day on the mountain ever. There were a few disappointments. They didn't provide any details about drop off or pick up times either with paperwork or verbally. There was conflicting info on the website and no info on our registration form. There was no info about meals being provided or not. We had to guess. Toddlers are used to eating every 2 hours. At drop off, they asked us five times "is he ready" but nobody actually introduced themselves to my son or tried to bring him into the group. I had to initiate that. This was his first day in ski school ever and was very intimidated and a bit shy during drop off . We were early and they wouldn't let us sit in the kids area to try and acclimatize him to the area and made us sit next to the drafty door while 10 tables sit empty in the oh so foreboding "no parents zone" (no fewer than 6 signs ) . Three different staff members gave us a LOT of attitude during intake and pick up and one got mad at yelled at us for trying to take our kid to the "kids only" washroom. The other nearby washroom in 100m away in another building and he had his ski suit off. 3 year olds can't exactly wait to find the 'right' washroom that parents are "allowed" in . They said he had to go by himself or go with one of them (really? that's creepy) . After a bit of arguing, they "let us" take our kid to the loo which was empty and nobody else was in the school yet. When I showed up at 12:30, the posted time on the website, I got a heap of attitude from the caregiver about being late. "Well if you were on time you'd get a report from the instructor but I can tell you a few details I guess". I tried to politely bring up my concerns to the ski school staff about the amount of missing details on registration form as I was leaving and at check in and she'd just talk over top of me and then walk away. In short we encountered a bunch of surly 20 year olds who who are there for the free pass and have little or no skill relating to a toddlers or parents needs. My kid said he had fun but I didn't get the chance to talk to an instructor to find out how he did. I should be made to feel comfortable in the school environment and it just feels "anti parent" in that place. If your kid has a few lessons under their belt and can handle being dumped off at a drive through...I mean ski school desk.... I'm sure it's a great program. But how they deal with young toddlers, is sorely lacking empathy for a toddlers and parents needs. If they put as much effort into making kids and parents feel welcome as they did enforcing this "no parents" zone thing, they might be more successful. If I wasn't using ski school I'd give this mountain a 5 star rating. Everything else was stellar and I look forward to returning when my kid can ski on his own. I just wish I went to Whistler for his first day of lessons.

Excellent lift system and village setup with very good grocery store. The mountain has something for every skier level. Snow is almost always very good quality. Third visit to Big White and for sure not the last one.

My thoughts is that Big White is very family oriented and provides a saccharine experience for a family wanting to try a ski vacation. The grooming is okay and the main area is nice, but the vibe is very much like a ski area not a ski resort. The tickets are over-priced especially when considering other areas on the powder highway. Staying on the mountain isn't cheap either. Kelowna is less than an hour away and offers more and better options during the winter for beds and food. Off to the one side of the mountain like an awkward stepchild they have a pretty decent advanced area. Revelstoke is more fun especially for young adults.

Excellent family friendly resort. Excellent amenities. Lots to do for families. Huge mountain that is catered for all type of skiers. No excessive line ups and mountain does not seem crowded when skiing. Always guaranteed fresh snow. Not as glitzy as Whistler but much more appealing due to it's tucked away location.

The Big White is a really awesome mountain in British Colombia. Just an hour or so from Kelowna it is an easy and enjoyable scenic drive to the Big White from Kelowna. I spent 2 weeks in Kelowna and went to the Big White for 10 days. The mountain is not as tall as some others Iv snowboarded like Whistler and Blackcomb but it is really wide with tons of trails to have a blast on! When I went in 2012 there was plenty of fresh powder and the weather was perfect! Definitely an amazing mountain to check out!
