Weather was good conditions not the best but still decent
So much to do and see. Great summer activities as well as winter
Great ski resort for families. Love the kids lessons and activities. Good terrain and variety.
Working and lived on the mountain for a full year and I for one can say if you want amazing ski/snowboarding experience, great bars, great food and amazing people, big white is the one! A huge variety of terrain from beginners to the very high standard of challenging terrain, the mountain, the layout, the way the resort is operated is fantastic,
Food and drink ...
Plenty of choice, great bars, brilliant atmosphere and above all else its just the best place to be!!
What an amazing year it was and I will certainly return to Big White for future holidays!!
Snowmobile riding around the East peak. Great snow but trails are rough.
The tree lighting and fireworks every year is a huge deal and packed with people It's the first time we've gone up for this particular event, and honestly, probably the last. Big White itself is always fun, and once we got out of the crush of people in the village and back down to Happy Valley Lodge, the evening became wonderful. My grandsons play "King of the Hill" by the school, the cafe provided hot chocolate, and we enjoyed the atmosphere from the warmth of the lodge. There's something for everyone at Big White, at every event, and it never disappoints, even if the event itself is too people-y. One can always find something else to do. It's truly a lovely place to go for the day, anytime. Winter, summer...any time.
Always a good place to ski. Lots of variety. A little low on snow compared to other years but still in pretty good condition. Thanks Big White & thanks WestJet.
This is my first visit to Big White, and I heard only wonderful things from my friends who have stayed and skiied here. It exceeded my expectations and now I know what a ski resort really is. Some resorts in the Pacific/Inland Northwest may have "Resort" in their name, but Big White is what resort is meant to be. The Village Centre is a winter wonderland with Christmas lights on trees. Our slope-side ski-in/ski-out hotel was perfect for my family's needs kver the course of the 3 nights we stayed here. Here in Canada at Big White, it truly feels like a getaway -- we are in our own snow globe world where everyone is friendly. Big White staff is awesome. Great with my kids. Everything really seems *better* in Canada -- the snow, the friendly ski-culture vibe (no snotty pretentious folks), the terrain (great variety, something for all abilities and ages, and even the people here dress better...outdoorsy Okanagon mountain vibe. No show-off name brands, just comfy, warm coats and hats and boots. Best souvenir item -- a Big White pom hat. Warm, cozy, and colorful! And a vacation here is affordable! Canadian skiers I met said they would like to visit the States to ski but it's too expensive. The accomodations and lift tickets beat all in the Pacific NW region from the Cascades to the NW Rockies. Prices lowers, yes. Favorable exchange rate, yes. But the value of what you get for your U.S. dollars is amazing! The resort also has an Olympic size outdoor ice skating rink for recreational and figure skating and hockey. An epic snow tubing park. And much more, so even if you don't alpine ski or snowboard there are lots of winter sports and recreation options (snowshoeing, dogsled rides, sleigh rides, Nordic skiing).
Nice resort all around, smooth snow and a lots restaurant make this place a fantastic spot for snow borders, skis and more.
I love big white. We've gone every year for the past 3 or so years. This year we went for 4 weeks out of the winter. It's a nice hill for beginners and more experienced riders. There's something for everyone! Ski in ski out is almost a must because it's so convenient
Awesome Food
Village has plenty of restaurants with plenty of veggie and vegan options on the menus. No fast food chains so prices are a bit on the higher side.
Great accomodations.
Stayed at plaza on the ridge which offered a great ski ski out experience. Unit had a well equipped kitchen and great size TV's. Washer dryer were also a huge plus with easy access to the hottub.
Awesome mountain.
Great snow, tons of blues and greens really boarder friendly with options for all skill levels. Lift tickets are cheap in comparison to other much smaller resorts and the biggie card made life really easy.
So much fun great food and lots of snow if u are looking somewhere to go with the family definitely here.
Awesome experience. Super friendly compared to most European resorts
Been going to Big White yearly for the past 20 years. Amazing atmosphere and terrain for the whole family. Wide variety of slope conditions with everything from beginner to advanced. Their glade skiing is world class and they continue to improve them each summer. Their Ski and Snowboard park Telus Park is always well kept and in excellent condition. It's even accessible on it's own lift for night skiing. Excellent New Years celebrations.
Beautiful snow and we climbed the ice tower what a great day
Best skiing in BC! Unlike the other large resort, there are no crowds, lineups, or attitude. Big White is impeccably well run. The staff are amazingly helpful and very kind. This mountain has great views, and is Excellent for families, our kids learned to ski here. Great snow, dry powder, excellent grooming and untracked deep pow stashes make it fun. Plus there are many ski-in ski- our condos so you can ditch the parking lot and car.
I went to the Dirty Feet snowshoe race here and the trails were amazing. Got to race against the new Canadian marathon record holder, Melindi Elmore!
Went tubing it was a great day, the kids had a blast!
Helmets were free at the kids center.
Spaghetti for the kids was $10 each and was terrible!!!
In my top 10 spots. Great for familys and something for everyone.
My home mountain. Love it here on a nice snow day which is what I had on the most recent visit. Perfect visibility and fresh snow. Only thing lacking is a nice village.
