Tons of terrain, and not crowded. Very much a family oriented mountain. Ski school is awesome if you are considering lessons. Improved my wife's confidence and skills significantly in 3 days. Very impressed with our experience and will most definitely be back
Amazing snow and beautiful views... The way the village is set up is so cool and makes everything ski in ski out accessable beautiful resort!!
Big White is the perfect family mountain... If you're looking for easy and relaxed runs this is your place.
Excellent resort, great snow. Mark Shaxted was an awesome instructor. highly recommend him even if you are already a good skier. took me to great spots. Made my week at big white.
One restaurant open in fall season. They're way behind Sun Peaks & Silverstar in this regard.
I rented one of the housing units via AirBnB for the summer and it had amazing views of the mountain and rich forest. The house we stayed in was up to my standards, although the utensils and furniture were mostly cheap, if not hand me downs (I was ok with that). The Jacuzzi was a great addition to the stay, and enhanced my experience.
My only concern was the distance in driving back since there are no light posts on the way to the resort, planning a set of time to get back before it gets too dark to drive. Also the house we stayed in had a lot of stair flights, so for anyone with issues using the stairs will have a difficult time.
Fun mountain for all levels. Very good vibe. Beautiful views
They are always working on improvements and ways make the experience better.
Unexpected environment, feels comfortable and beautiful
Awesome snow, even though it was fresh it was still great pow in the trees!
Great cheap place to go for a sightseeing hike in the summer and many great ski runs in the winter!
Chair lift to the top and hiked our way down really a great way to get some outdoor time
Good variety of terrain. Includes a big terrain park, along with a Supercross track and half pipe. However, the last two items could be better maintained.
If you buy a seasons pass early its an amazing deal, a very family friendly ski hill and we'll worth the time to drive up from Calgary
Went during new year and wanted to go tubing but due to the large amount of people wasnt able to enjoy it and wait times were over an hour to go down. Im sure during a regular day the lines wouldnt be nearly as bad
I cooker for a private dinner at Big White tonight even if it's too early for snow people are still renting condos for special occasions., I made a bunch of fun ladies very happy.
All time resort, snow or shine. It's our 3rd Spring Break here with our family of 4 and we have no plans to go anywhere else. Great riding for the whole family!
Usually, Big White is great. Nostalgic for me even as that's where my wife and I first spent time together.
But Friday, I got a bad case of food poisoning from the hotdog I ate at the Happy valley lodge.
It was awful.
I'll spare the details, but food poisoning is just awful. Also in watching them prep everything, the food handling skills are not the greatest. So there's probably the reason why.
Overall tho, great mountain with lots of activities for everybody!
Amazing hill with some good food options and current Friday night specials make this a local's paradise.
Wonderful people and resort, with lots of lifts and long runs it's an absolute blast.
Well organised ski resort. Easy to get around. Fast lifts and long runs. Good tree skiing for almost all levels making it more interesting than some other "piste only" resorts. Good food options at night and during the day. Family friendly.
An epic experience. From the Inn at Big White, to the employees on the mountain, to the beers on tap at the pubs, and everything in between. World class.
Awesome service. But stop raising your prices and give me more discounts on my season pass for friends to come up with me
The staff from ski rentals & my trainer were amazing. Tubing was great & the views were awesome. Great place for winter family fun.
What a wonderful mountain , people are awesome big big mountain great terrain
Amazing! 20min run down the mountains at top speed. Glades from top to bottom. Absolutely beautiful. Love it here, I go every year.
We went to tube town with the kids. They had a blast and it was a great day overall. Can t wait to return.
Best snowboarding day of my life. Great powder after snowfall. Great mix of runs for skills of all ages.
Staff were all great. Supper friendly and helpful.
Decent grub too. Gastropubby fare and prices weren't that bad. Make sure if you're staying for a few days to pick up supplies on the way in kelowna. The small market in the main village is very pricy.
Favorite hill! Has everything from slow mo tree runs to big pow drops and speed runs. The ski in, ski out definitely helps though.
Beautiful place to come for a short vacation; however, it would be greater if the price here is lower.
BIG White is an amazing ski resort
Great grooming, great runs, good staff, good vibe. I'll be back.
Awesome place, great mountain to ski and snowboard, there's different levels of difficulty on the slopes so it's a great place for all degrees of skill.
Great family mountain with fun runs and nice chairs.
Incredible skiing here and great atmosphere in the village centre
Amazing resort that is fun for the whole family! Great mix of starter runs and advanced. If you are new to the slopes or a veteran you won't be disappointed.
I work and live at Big White and it is amazing. The snow this season has been awesome and the community here makes it feel like a home away from home.
Wonderful mountain with lots of terrain. Lots of tree runs that are super fun! Really amazing French fries at the happy moose lodge restaurant!
Great hill with diverse terrain. Good variety of quality restaurants and ski shops.
Fun pistes and a good amount of tree line off-piste runs. Snow was very hard packed / icy to begin with, but consistent top ups of powder kept things fun. Good resort for snowboarding. It can get VERY cold on the lifts, so pack a thick scarf.
This is a 'family' resort, and is 100% geared towards this. It's totally isolated with a single extortionate deli shop if you want to try and save on eating out. Restaurants are not cheap (a few 'deal' nights are available, but the menus were very limited), and honestly the food on offer was entirely average.
This isn't a resort to visit if you're after an authentic Canadian experience, as around 90% of the workforce here are Australian (seriously, not an exaggeration). Very little here reminds you that you're in Canada, which is a real shame.
In all, we had a fantastic holiday here because of the mountain and weather, but the resort has a fairly 'exclusive' (expensive) vibe, and it would benefit greatly from employing a far more local work force, due to the vast improvement in the standard of hospitality that would bring.
The apartments are furnished, with the kitchen with all the necessary tools for cooking and other necessary equipment at home.
The resort is super cool, lots of places to eat and hang out. It's like a blend between panorama and Lake Louise. Super nice that they have activities for everyone so you really can stay there all day all night. We went on a powder day and it was great. Runs weren't super populated and the runs were well maintained
Magical winter wonderland! Looks like a gingerbread house!!
Too bad Michael J is pretty much the cheesiest marketing guy in the world, becaus the actual mountain is great. Don't expect BIG lines at Big White, but the skiing at Biggie is awesome, and huge in terms of acreage plus variety. The mountain has something to offer every level of skier.
Great hill, lots of options for food. Check out Gem Lake as its got some very long runs with lots of powder. If this is your first time at the hill you should try this side of the mountain. I would make sure you use yellow shades though as its known to be very foggy. When it does get sunny though there isn't a better hill out thete, in the Okanagan and for snowboarders its one of the best. Don't worry about sticking to the runs as there is a lot of fun to be had out in the trees, especially when it gets foggy. Have fun you are going to love it here.
Local quote..."Go to the trees. Nobody here skis trees." There are a lot of runs through the trees. And they stayed awesome long after the main runs got chopped up.
Loved this place, the chalets there are beautiful. I would have loved to have visited when it was in season and things were open, but I still had a great time.
What more can i say. Been coming here for 20 years and nowhere else compares...
Ski in ski out. Large park. Great snow. Lots of lifts. Spectacular view!
Relaxed atmosphere and decent facilities. Some of the restaurants can be hit and miss but the Black Diamond restaurant was absolutely solid for steak.
Great medical service by ski patrol, really looked after my son after his accident breaking his wrist.
A great family orientated resort. We saw the full spectrum of weather conditions and enjoyed every day we had there. The mountain has some fantastic runs with something for everybody in all conditions. The Telus terrain park was also very More
Such and incredible mountain to ski and snowboard at, so much variety with massive runs (compared to Australia). The whole vibe is lovely and fun catering for the whole family worth all the other activities for those who aren't so fond of hitting the slopes. Can't wait to go back some time!
Great runs and not so crowded or expensive compared to some others.
Absolutely loved it. We went as a family in July and took the lift up to the top and hiked around for a while. They have bike trails for beginners and experienced riders.
