We ate outside because of covid but the atmosphere was fantastic and the food just the same. Our waiter was a little on the slow side but maybe he was just having a bad day. Would recommend for a nice meal.

Disappointing. Service was mediocre at best. No one smiled or gave any indication they wanted us here. Food was okay, the best part of the experience, but that s not saying much. Will not go back.
The food is always wonderful and creative without being pretentious. Although they are a wine bar, they have some of the most delicious cocktails in town. And don t be afraid to bring your kids; they are very welcoming and have plenty of items on their menu that your kiddos will love.
Great atmosphere, service, food. Staff is welcoming and knowledgeable. Whether lunch, weekend visit, or special meal, you can't go wrong being at Crush Bistro. See you soon!
My husband and I dined there last night. We are wine club members and have frequented the restaurant. We actually stopped going there for dinner after both getting sick or just not feeling well two times after eating there. We figured maybe it was best not to risk eating their food again. So, we thought dessert last night would be safe. We were seated at a table at the back where you can't help but stare into the kitchen, as there is no blinds and no door and people going in and out - which completely takes away from the romantic atmosphere. One of the chefs gets out his cell phone, is pressing things all over it, takes a picture of the food, puts his cell phone back and gets back to handling food. Never washes his hands. Does it again. This time he takes our creme brule, takes his finger and literally smoothes down our food with his dirty finger. By that point we had lost it. The worst part is the waitress seemed to care more than the owner. The owner had no apologies, took our spoons, and proceeded to lecture us they have a GREAT clean rating. Wow. We will never be going back there again. If you want crappy service and dirty food, you'll enjoy.
Stumbled in looking for anything to eat firlate evening dining. Located just of the beaten path. Turned out to be an exceptional dining experience. Wonderful food, wine and service!
30 minutes of waiting, 7 people passed in front of me having left the name of the waitress, who when she sees me getting dressed asks me if I'm still waiting for the table for me. Bad Figure
Terrible service. After waiting over 20 minutes after ordering with no drinks on the table (not even water), our food came before our drinks. Then we tried to ask someone to skip the drinks we had ordered and just pour us a glass of wine to have with our meal and we were rudely given a scanty pour of wine (maybe 3.5 ounces but certainly not 5) with a sigh of disgust as though we were difficult for asking. When we mentioned the issue we were told the manager would see us but he took his time in getting to us. Instead of working hard to provide good service they made us feel rude and silly for expecting it. The food was good but the wine was just average and the service was terrible. If you have 3 hours to spend on dinner and don't mind horrible service and small wine pours, this place might be OK but honestly, we will not be going back.
For a small place that mainly does reservations, the service was slow and we had to seek out a server multiple times. The food was very good, but the wait almost ruined that.
Drinks were good. Food was ok, but for an upscale styled restaurant the burger I got was topped with American cheese, this was very shocking. What the real downer on the burger was the "special sauce", wish I would of told them not to put thousand Island dressing on my burger, it was floating in sauce.
The food is great, the wine selection is always amazing and rotates frequently. The meals are rather expensive. This is a great place for a third date.
Wow! We just ordered for the first time and picked it up. I m glad we used a gift certificate from Christmas because I would be angry to have had to PAY for this horrible food! We ordered 3 burgers, paid $48.00 plus tip and when I cut mine in half (the burgers are big) I ended up having to recook mine because it was too pink. The hamburger bun was a soggy mess which promptly fell apart into a unpalatable pile of mush! The French fries were also less than as far as taste and quality. Save your money, I can t imagine this place will stay open for any length of time considering my families experience with this restaurant. 0 stars
What an awesome selection! Or bartender/server was awesome, willing to play around a little and pour us some mystery wines so we could try to blind taste and match them off the list.
Went for lunch today. I had the lunch special, which was exceptionally tasty, but quite small... more like a tapas plate. I'm good with tapas, but wasn't expecting it. Service was great, and the value of the food was great. I will add this place to my lunch rotation now.
Love this place! A little on the expensive side, but great for a drink after work. Sometimes I just bring a book and sit at the bar. Everyone is really friendly and will help you find a wine you love.
The food is delicious. The service was excellent. Price is fair for what you get. The wine knowledge of our server was also excellent. It was loud in the restaurant not great for an intimate meal.
Visiting the area, we were told the wait was 45 minutes, waited an hour and realized everyone before us had been sat and they forgot about us- (because we're tourists and not locals?? Maybe..) finally got a table that wobbled and was placed on the sidewalk to accommodate us since all the tables were then full. Then they forgot about us again, no menus and didn't take our order for 45 minutes. Then another 30 minutes to bring out our glasses of wine. No one apologized or even talked to us. Sadly this reflected on our trip there. Will not be coming back and wont recommend.
An outstanding restaurant with a varied menu at very reasonable prices. We had reservations so we were seated immediately and service was excellent, as was the food. See attached photos. Will be back. Edit: Back to Crush in August and tried other items on the menu, and again the food was excellent, so was the friendly service.
When visiting Anchorage you don t often think of Alaska being a foodie paradise. But this little gem is a shining jewel. The drink menu was robust with a plethora of hand crafted cocktails and a wine list is unparalleled for the restaurants in the area. I visited for a couple of drinks and dessert on my way back to my hotel. I was definitely surprised. The decor is bright and airy. The back wall has a wonderful palm frond design and art from local artists is displayed throughout. All done very tastefully. The restaurant was bustling with a happy energy that made drinks with a friend that much more enjoyable. The service was friendly and prompt.
I would highly recommend this spot as a must for any wine lovers or those looking for something different than the plethora of local Anchorage dive bars.
Everything was exceptional from the wait, to our server, to the delightful wine, superb entrees and delicious dessert. Highly recommend. Dorene and Denise Austin, Texas
Went last week for a fam-date. Food was amazing. Our waitress was super knowledgeable of the menu and recommended a great wine to go with my meal. Food arrived quickly. And even though the place was packed, still able to have an intimate conversation without yelling. Food was amazing. Will be back.
Omg, by far the best martini in town. It's a lil unconventional as the olives are on the side aling with a lemon twist, but it's worth it. They make this bad boy with bitters and it really just sets the whole thing in a whole different caragory. Phenomenal wine selection, there's a store bext door where you can buy whatever wine or spirit is on the menu along with accessories like decanters and bottle stoppers. The food is also wildly delicious. I recommend the mac & cheese. It will change your life.
Had an awesome time with my daughter on her birthday. We shared a little wine and had some good food. It was fun. Our waitress took great care of us. Couldn't recommend it more fore a fancy wine night.
One of my downtown faves. It's casual and has a knowledgeable bartender who is trying to stock smaller liquor makers, rather than the huge corporate ones (like Maker's Mark, which I like). Menu is small but delicious. Service is mostly good.
Crush has become one of my fav go-to restaurants to treat myself! Their take'n'bake dishes taste just like dining-in w/deliciously fun plates, I've had the butter chicken, brussel sprouts, pork belly, and gnocchi along with the French 75 kit. They also have great COVID precautions!
Crush is my go-to place when I want to wind down. I usually sit at the bar. The tenders are friendly and knowledgeable and the atmosphere is relaxed with just enough energy. Wines by the glass cover all the bases and veer away from the pedestrian. I've been going for this arugula salad with poached egg but last time, they had an avocado/crab bruschetta(?) that was to die for. There were bits of candied lemon peel in it that set it off! Don't miss Crush!
My wife and I have had some amazing food in some amazing places around the world. We stumbled upon this little Bistro on a once in a lifetime trip to Alaska and we are so happy that we did. This place has the most amazing food and great service. Everything from the appies to the desert including the wine parings. The chef isn't just a cook; he must love to cook. We liked it so much that we made it back for a second evening on our last night in Anchorage. Thank you, Crush, for amazing us.
Great atmosphere. Great wines. Very knowledgable staff. Everything we tried on the menu was great, except the Mac & Cheese- not good. Also noted after leaving the place that our clothes smelt like they had been deep fried so don't wear your nice threads. Overall really nice date night atmosphere.
For lunch, we had some very tasty paninis and a well-seasoned salad. The atmosphere is a bit Italian style and the tables are distributed as cabinets. In good taste, moderate prices and pleasant atmosphere.
Great food, great service, great atmosphere :) I thought the menu had some fresh ideas, instead of the same thing you see everywhere. But, they also had some favorites ;)
Crush is a wonderful place to get a peaceful bite to eat. While I have not had the chance to go for dinner, the lunch there is wonderful. I'd recommend the ruben sandwich.
Food was ok, drinks were good but it took a while to get served my drink when I was the only one in the place. Menu is unique but I really wanted just a basic french toast or pancakes.
