Large store with a ton of products. Staff was quick to help and helped me out with my first bike computer purchase.

When purchasing a bike its important that the bike fits you. That's where Frank from BGI comes in. This man knows bikes and how people ride. He will help you fit the bike to make your ride enjoyable and comfortable . Frank not only helped me but my wife as well. From your head to your cleats, Frank will provide the right adjustments for you and is a wealth of biking knowledge. Frank at BGI is the guy to talk to.

The shopping experience was great. The giant TCR is awesome. It was nice having a personal sales assistant walk you through the store and answer your questions without feeling rushed. Even though it was inconvenient to have to wait to get into the store it was nice to not have to hunt and find someone to help. I will definitely go to BGI again and will highly recommend to others

Excellent customer service, sales associate was very knowledgeable and helped me choose a new seat for a spinner I recently purchased. He also informed me of a 90 day guarantee on the bike seat which I could use to exchange the product for something different if needed. I would've like to more variety as far as the bike seats, but I do feel that that even though there was a limited selection they did offer good quality seats. The store is big and has a lot of different merchandise, didn't see very many things on clearance and also a bike shop.

Just purchased my first road bike from BGI along with a bunch of accessories (pedals, shoes, helmet, lights, pump, etc) with the help of Patrick. From beginning to end his customer service and product knowledge were awesome. He took the time to listen to what I wanted and recommended the appropriate products, and at no point did I ever feel like I was being "sold" anything. I'm very pleased with everything I purchased and I can't say enough good things about Patrick and BGI. As a note, I visited nearly every bike shop in town, and BGI was by far the best overall. Highly recommended.

BGI has great mechanics. I do all my own work, but occasionally I run into something that isn't making sense. They have always helped. Their mechanics are knowledge and helpful. Mark D. and Mike M. are the best.

Don't waste your time with this place they told me to some check out a bike well when I got there after a 2 hour drive they said it was gone waste of time and money

I've taken my bike there for service twice. Each time they've exceeded my expectations. Very professional and knowledgeable service staff. Bill in Sales is extremely accommodating. The service manager is very happy to answer a million questions. John a service tech followed through on the most stubborn wheel hub until it was 100%. I cannot say enough good things about them.

I'm a big fan of this place, from the time they were a little shop to their now much larger store. There has been quite a few bicycle shops that have opened up, but these guys were in it before the bike scene blew up. They I think had a lot to do with pushing bicycles into mainstream in indy.

I purchased a bicycle several years ago from Bicycle Garage of Indy. I needed a new tube for one of the tires but was unable to go into the store due to social distancing. I called BGI and after asking a few questions, were able to tell me what type of tire tube I needed and shipped it directly to my house. Friendly customer service and very accommodating and helpful. Received in mail in less than a week.

Makes me wish I lived in Indy. Happened by the Bike Garage after having purchased a bike carrier needing some missing parts. Two of the super-friendly staff helped me find exactly what I needed. They are terrific. Knowledgeable. Fast. Outstanding service. I'm lucky to have stopped in.

Bernie Andersen worst employee ever. If I could rate a zero I would! He doesn t know how to do his job or read a work order to begin with. Was miserable working, must hate his job. Worst experience, will not be returning. I could have simply ordered the same item myself online with all its parts the first time three weeks ago. But I only came here to support local business.

My recent trip to The Netherlands impressed me so much I wanted to bring a little of that home so I imported a new Dutch bike which involved some assembly when it arrived. I needed to get the bike fitted to me and I wanted someone to go over my assembly to insure everything was right. A Dutch bike is a very different experience than what is typically found in America. The Dutch are a different breed. They tend to be taller and bicycling is in there blood! I wanted to experience what they typically experience on a bike. Right away an important difference I noticed is the weight. This bicycle is the heaviest I ve owned and I cannot lift it! Though these bikes are typical in Amsterdam, I would not recommend these for just anyone! I knew there would be challenges with this bike and I didn t want to have to worry about fit or improper assembly. Scheduling a fitting appointment was super easy with the online form. I could not have been as precise alone with getting my fit right and the recommended alteration to my right pedal compensated for a past injury which I would not have thought to do. Frank went over my bike and found several places which needed to be tightened and caught a potential hazard with my seat due to an oversight on my part. He also noted that the brakes were set up opposite to a typical American bike. On his recommendation, I let him make those alterations to help keep it consistent with my other bikes. He also assisted me with putting my very heavy bicycle on our rack afterward. The conversation during the fitting was pleasant. The price is reasonable for a professional bike fitting. I m still getting used to this new Dutch bike but it s much safer and more comfortable now thanks to Frank.

Very disappointed with customer service and sales tactics. After being in the shop for 10 minutes, someone finally asked if we needed help (never even left from behind the desk). When we got help, we told them our price range, after which they showed us a mountain bike 2,000 dollars beyond our range. Test rode a bike in our range, then they brought out a 2nd bike 200 dollars over our range, and told us that cheaper bike would only serve as a commuter bike and would "not perform on the trails" (despite being a Giant frame w/ 29" wheels, disk breaks, etc.). Got the overall feeling that they cared more about a sale than the customer.

I recently purchased 2 bicycles for myself and my husband from BGI. Todd was AMAZING! He helped me determine the right bike for me and gave me honest advice, which I was very grateful for. I was even able to test ride the bikes. My husbands original frame size didnt end up being the right fit for him. We returned 2 days later asking to exchange for a smaller frame. Todd was FANTASTIC again. He and the sales associate made the exchange super easy and were so polite about it. They truly care about the right bike for you!!! Will recommend BGI to family and friends.

Purchased bike here before but arrogance of salesperson this time was such a turnoff that I drove to Muncie to purchase my bike.

Even with the added constraints with the Covid-19 Social Distancing, still received excellent service and opportunity to shop there. Had assistance throughout. Love this store for its in-stock supply, variety, and staff assistance! Great under normal and abnormal times!!

Dealing with BGI was simple and easy during Covid-19. Your website was easy to navigate and the purchasing process was simple. The email reminders I received after purchasing were timely and well thought out. The best part was you did exactly what you said you would do. You said the bike I purchased would be ready within 5-7 business days. It was on the 3rd day after my purchase I received a phone call saying the bike was ready for pick up.

We purchased a Saris SUPERCLAMP EX 4-BIKE rack for our Subaru. We carry bikes with a lot of different set ups (wide handle bars, baskets, rear racks, fenders, etc.). The staff were super helpful about the rack and even attached a townie with fenders to the rack so we could see how it would hold bikes with fenders. They even helped put it on the car during an unexpected snow storm.

Did a Damn good job at a totally reasonable price

Wow, I love this place! I was a diehard Performance Bicycle customer for the guys at the Castleton store always treated me with respect and went out of their way to assist me, being a novice cyclist and all. Now that the Performance store is gone, I needed a new place to take my bike and I had high standards coming in. I got a late start to riding this year (2020) due to my travels, the weather, and this COVID thing. During my second ride of the year, my rear derailleur hanger broke and when it did, it snapped and the derailleur landed in my rear wheel. Since all the bike shops are very busy due to the pandemic, I struggled getting my bike in to get fixed. I ended up taking my bike to another shop, other than BGI, for they said they'd squeeze me in. They did get me back on the road within two weeks, but they merely put on a new derailleur and that was it. They didn't address my rear wheel for it needed new spokes and it needed to be trued up. I had attempted to get in touch with BGI but it was at the time they were reopening so their availability was hit and miss. However, I received an email from Toby saying he'd call me to review what I needed and what they might be able to do to help. He went out of his way to assist me! After I received my bike back and noticed how untrue the rear wheel was, I needed to get my bike back in to get it properly fixed and back to riding condition. I sent Toby an email, asking for him to let me know when I might be able to get on the service list. I knew they were weeks, if not months out, but I at least wanted to get on the schedule. I then received a call from Mark and he went out of his way to get me worked into the schedule. Everyone was very nice and they went out of their way to not only listen to me, but to inform me what and how they will do the service. I actually received my bike back within 1 day! It is back in perfect riding shape! I have found my new home! I bought my current road bike and three bikes for my boys at Performance and now BGI will get all my future business! Being in the market for a second road bike, I am excited to work with BGI once inventory is replenished later this year. What a FANTASTIC experience I had here! BGI has a loyal new customer!

Large inventory of the brands they carry. The staff is both friendly and knowledgeable. All of the questions I had were able to be answered. There was also never the slightest feeling of being rushed. I was in the store for at least an hour, with 20 or so minutes of that being me riding bikes out back. They seem like the kind of staff that is more happy with you being fully satisfied and confident with your purchase than just pushing you out the door because you came in with a particular bike in mind.

I came here planning to spend $400 on a bike, excited to make such a big purchase and own my first nice bike. Waited a few minutes and eventually went up to the desk to see if anyone was available to help me select a bike. Salesperson never asked me what I wanted to use the bike for, so I eventually just told him to make sure I was getting the right bike. Salesman made sure I had a lock, then told me he would take the bike back to service to have it prepped. Eventually heard my name over the loudspeaker, but no one told me how to use the lock or showed me any features of the bike, including how to use the quick release tire feature. I eventually asked a random staff member if I could take the bike since the salesman was nowhere to be found. Tried for about 15 minutes to get the bike into the car before giving up. This is when the salesman reappeared and took the bike out to the car to help me. I wonder what other features the bike has he didn t bother to show me? I was just shocked that such a reputable brand has such incredibly terrible service. I could have gotten as much help purchasing a bike online. Two stars for great selection! Zero stars for service!

Everyone at BGI is amazing! A couple of associates helped me find a bike perfect for me! I'm a very short adult and the bike they found for me fits me absolutely perfect! 11/10 would reccomend!

I went to BGI for some winter gear and to browse bikes. I was a little nervous going in that they wouldn't take me seriously as a rider and knowing that I wasn't planning on making a bike purchase that day. As soon as I walked in, the sales woman asked if I needed anything and she helped me immediately. She explained the various cold weather gear options and helped me pick out what would work best for me.

Then she and I browsed the road bikes and she gave me a lot if information on what I need to know to progress to a road bike. She was very patient and answered all of my questions as well as offering me a lot of extra knowledge. When asking about sizing she said that they work with you to measure you and try out different bikes to ensure that you get the perfect fit. Additionally, when you purchase a bike here you get a free bicycle fit consultation where a pro adjusts the bike for your body.

I can't wait for things warm up a bit because I will no doubt be purchasing a bicycle from BGI. They don't just sell you a bicycle. They ensure that the bicycle fits you before you leave.

Getting ready for their Spring bike sell. I traded in a 6-7 year old Giant that I bought there. I got a better deal than on my last car purchase. Think Spring with BGI!

This is a great shop with great service. They have a good inventory of cycling goods and are friendly and willing to help with all your needs.

Mark was a great help getting our bikes tuned up for the season. The store is always clean and the staff always welcomes us with a warm greeting every time we come in for a visit. The merchandise is a little pricey, but you get what you pay for; they have the best quality equipment and products for the price point.

We've been buying bicycles here for the past 5 years, and am always impressed with the level of service. I love the fact that the salesperson is always a cycling enthusiast. I feel like they have the passion and the product knowledge to give me the best advice. When I've asked about a bike that my salesperson was not familiar with, they were able to find another associate with firsthand experience.

Very long line!!! 50 minutes wait to get in the store.....

I went into BGI North this morning because the right brake lever on my Cannondale Trigger (that I bought from BGI) was broken from a collision I had with a tree. I saw how busy it was and, knowing that Covid-19 had caused a lot of people to take up cycling, I expected the turnaround time to be weeks.

When it was my turn, the gentleman at the counter looked at it and said, "Let me look up the part. It may be out of stock at the supplier." At this point, I was thinking, "I'll be lucky to get the bike back by Halloween."

One of the managers - Mark - walked by, took the bike, and started to work on it. After a few minutes, he told me to leave it with him and he will call me later in the day. At 4pm I received a call saying my bike is fixed. Mark was able to use a part he had and just charged me labor. I got my bike the same day.

It is this level of personalized service that gains companies like BGI loyal customers. I am very grateful for the service that Mark and the team provided and am a loyal customer for life.
