We Stayed In Bayview Resort In Myrtle Beach,SC. We Stayed In An Ocean Front Room With 2 Full Beds. It Was 2 Adults and 2 Children. The Room Was Clean, Beds Where Comfortable. The Balcony Gave A Great View! We Where Thoroughly Impressed With The Resort. It Was Right On The Beach, Within Walking Distance Of Food, Entertainment and Shopping. The Pool Area With The Kiddie Area and Lazy River Where Clean and Enjoyable. The Housekeeping Staff Along With The Front Desk Staff Where Very Friendly and Accommodating ! We Will Definitely Stay Here Again.
Awesome place.... I really enjoyed my stay. Clean rooms i will deffinately be coming back.
We enjoyed our stay there but our room was a lot smaller than expected. I thought we might get breakfast at the hotel but we had to go out to eat. Other than that it was a good stay.
My family and I loved the room and view, however the Elevators take for ever to get anywhere, to many floors not enough elevators!!
Important! Do NOT book you're reservation through the hotel. Unfortunately we had a very poor experience in doing so. One night of our five night stay (in the middle of of our stay) was booked....up until the week before. We secured the 5th night BUT the hotel literally made us check out EVERY morning, store our bags downstairs and check back in later in the day. Everything in our refrigerator got ruined and had to be thrown out three times! Our vacation was spent moving rooms, checking in and out and going back and forth to the store to buy more groceries for our suite instead of on the beach!! Never, Again! My husband was furious. The front desk staff did absolutely NOTHING to try to accommodate us except offer to waive the cancellation fee if we wanted to stay elsewhere. Wasn't that just so nice of them?! Moreover they operate on a skeleton crew and the hotel is very, very poorly staffed. We waited an hour to get our food in the restaurant downstairs because there was only one server. She said everyone was "new" and she looked like she was about to cry. Don't order the shrimp appetizer, they are extremely small, not at all what we had expected for being in the beach. The only plus to this place is the rooms are nice. There isn't a dishwasher so I'd be very careful using their dishes/utensils. That's exactly how people get sick, no high temp water used for cleaning dishes after use. We opted for paper plates to keep everyone healthy. As far as the elevators, we had to wait 20 minutes almost EVERY morning to get an elevator down to the lobby or pool. The hotel is part of the J1 program, kids doing a work study program from Russia so do expect a very, very large population of Russian speaking kids. They were all very sweet but all complained of very low wages. We paid about $350/night for a two bed suite with kitchen. Unfortunately we would never go back after the poor experience. There is also no one that takes your luggage up to the room and you have to walk across the street to park your car. Valet is kind of useless since they only park cars, no luggage assistance. The area for checking in is very small and crowds quickly which leads to people waiting in the street to pull in. I don't see this hotel lasting unless management makes some serious changes quickly.
We have stayed at bayview twice a year for several years and have NEVER had any problems! we were late checking in and were put in a room that was absolutely horrible! the sheets had clearly not been changed, while i was changing the sheets myself, bedbugs/roaches started crawling EVERYWHERE! I totally freaked out and called the front desk immediately only to be treated with total disrespect! Only after i started calling family members who were staying on separate floors to inform them of the issues that we were having that the night clerk promised us a full refund which we have not received! And this was Thursday Oct 5th! It was a complete nightmare!
Like the constant smell of pot morning, noon, and night along with people yelling and music blaring throughout? This is the place for you. Need something from ththe front desk? Hope you have something to do for an hour. Poop stained mattresses your thing? They ve got that too!
No out door pool. Very disappointed. Changed reservation and didn't get what I requested.
We stayed in the penthouse suite in November and it was wonderful. It looked exactly as pictured and we had lots of fun. The Lazy river and pool was fun and clean. I only gave 4 stars because of the construction building next door. Its an eye soar. But they mention that when we reserved it so understandable.
Tiny room...no ac in the elevator slow check in... Would not stay there again.
Great staff. Fun place to stay while visiting myrtle beach area
Better than expected, fantastic veiw, great price, and right on boardwalk. Staff was also very nice and polite.
We have been coming to bay view for over 15 yrs. This was the worst stay. Loud thumping music that never stopped, never. 2 am music, 3 am music, 7 am music. The smell of Marijuana constant in the room. Just overall disappointed.
The view is beautiful from the 18th floor. The only down side is the parking garage is across the street behind another hotel..
Family friendly hotel very clean comfortable . They have a pool area with a Lazy River and jacuzzi . The only problem I had with it was locals coming into the pool area and using its facilities.
Bayview is fairly new and i would say the staff is pretty good for the most part. the beach itself is beautiful it truly is worth it to get a beach front view, a nice big balcony is included and wonderful. My only complaint is the elevators..there are only 3 for a 19 story building.. so if you are on one of the higher floors be prepared to wait 5 to 10 minutes sometimes longer to get down to the main level - along with an elevator always full of people. You would think with as many rooms and floors at this hotel they would put in a few more elevators.
Well it is right the the beach which is really convenient to visit the place.
Dirty comforter, gross surfaces, hair on floor, old and slow elevators. Looked nothing like pictures online. Outside portion was nice and in a great location. Parking was convenient and shaded in a garage.
Too much to write. This is by far yet the worst place to bring a family. We actually had to cancel as soon as we walked in. staff treated us horribly. Currently waiting on corporate office to contact us.
We we're there all weekend and they never brought towels up...probably a mistake...the rest was ok
Nice place beds r comfortable service s r great lots of pool options great for families or a get away they have a bar as well they r on the boardwalk private secured parking garage very clean dvd movies to watch for free you must stay then you will have good trip too they also offer 1-2 bedrooms with full kitchen
The view was beautiful, but the "B" Suites are unable to control the thermostat. Our room reached 80 degrees. It would seem like a great idea to just open the slider glass door, but the construction of the new pier was so loud that we were unable to keep the door open. From the 18th floor we were unable to hear the ocean waves.
The lazy river is the size of a donut, and the elevators are being worked on...leaving on two operational.
We had to call and ask for a shower curtain, as our room lacked one.
We loved vacationing at Myrtle Beach during the winter, but we won't be returning to the BayView Resort.
Below is our hotel grading criteria and scores for this stay:
Amenities: 3.5 -- the pool area is nice with a large lazy river, but sadly all indoors. There is a concierge up front if you want deals to the touristy chain restaurants/activities. Much of the resort is a little outdated unfortunately.
Room: 2.5 -- beds are just double-sized, which made for a cozy (cramped) night. The hallway and foyer by the rooms had a horribly foul smell during the whole stay. Room overall was outdated and simple. The view was nice, but the small balcony isn't terribly practical.
Night Sleep: 4 -- fortunately, we were tired enough that the small beds didn't prevent us from falling/staying asleep, and the bedding was comfortable.
Value for Money: 4.5 -- we got a Groupon deal, so even with taxes/fees, it was less than $80/night.
Location/Parking: 3.5 -- being right on the beach was definitely a plus. On the downside, it's a bit of a walk from the main heart of town. Parking is in a secured garage, but is a block away, so keep that in mind if you have heavy luggage or forgot something in the car at night.
Staff : 4 -- everyone was pleasant and easy to work with. Nothing above and beyond, but no complaints whatsoever.
Overall Score: 3.67 -- though this might not be our top choice to return to, it's still q decent option for a beach stay in Myrtle Beach, especially for families or those on a bit of a budget.
Incredibly understaffed and the check in was awful. Never cleaned our rooms aswell. Decent place to stay
My stay at this resort was awesome!! The rooms were great. They were nice, clean and well equipped. The staff was super friendly. The pool area was cool, very kid friendly.
Nice hotel. The ocean front condo was beautiful with a great view and a pier in both directions. The beds could be better and we didn't get the frying pan we asked for, that was supposed to be in the kitchen but wasn't, so I had to go buy one. Getting an elevator to check out and leave seemed like a chore. Definitely will stay again.
I'm still here at this time and for a few more days if room service doesn't improve I will be changing my ratings to a 1. I've had to call the front desk for towels and then go to the desk because housekeeping seems as if they don't have to listen to the front desk radio calls for service. Trash was not picked for the room towels never changed until I went to the desk after asking twice. Not all that happy at this time and I will be letting the friends know about it that recommended we come here her.
This place was peaceful and had a beautiful view of the ocean.
So kind family friendly and pet friendly ocean view neat rooms
This is a great hotel for a Myrtle Beach South Carolina Stadium many of them here and this has to be the best the sheet smell like springtime the rooms were clean I did not see a speck of dirt anywhere the bathrooms are clean I mean this is a nice hotel for the price that we stated we had a we didn't have Ocean View we had a roadside but still the staying at the hotel was very very nice I do recommend this for everyone
We saw iced bottle of water falling from a balcony on someone on the sidewalk.
Nobody seemed to care at the hotel.
The room was extremely nice. The parking situation is not good. Parking garage is a block away. The unloading zone is not big enough and is jammed at check-in and check-out time. Construction work being done on the building next door was noisy.
The staff is fantastic especially The second shift maintenance and valet . Made our stay glorious even waiting to check in
Stayed here 3-15 to 3-18-16 in an ocean front room amazing view! The rooms were very nice and clean, this will diffidently be my go to place from now own. The only downside is really bad WIFI signal and no cell reception inside of the room.
My husband and I and a friend stayed at the Bayview resort last weekend July 20 through the 22nd. And that was the worst experience I have ever had at any resort. First of all when I booked my room the lady said it was a king bed with a Murphy wall bed. And as arriving to the room we have a full bed and a pull out couch. And the couch was so uncomfortable noone could even sleep on it, the air-conditioner vent above the couch dripped water on us The entire time there so we had to sit at the table to watch tv. The motel was overbooked, too many people we could not even get in the pool or hot tub for all of the people. Pluse the pool was closed down the first day. And the staff was very rude to us about towels by the pool. And we would have to wait 10 to 15 minutes for the elevator just to go anywhere. And the day we was leaving we waited for over an hour for the elevator. No carts to carry our luggage on . And to beat it all we paid $600 for this room. And I do not believe it was worth $100 so I will not be back to your establishment. And I will not recommend for anyone else to either.
Stayed here for a night. Staff was helpful while asking and reserving rooms. Once we arrive the staff was nice and check in was quick. Rooms were clean, they were a tad bit smaller than expected but nicer than we thought. The dishes were clean. The reason for the four stars is that the parking is about a block away and the sleeper sofa was a little worn out. Overall our stay was really good and we will be looking forward to staying here again.
The stay was amazing!!! The staff are super nice, my room was very clean, and my girls loves the pool area....Every time I come here I stay at Bay View because it is always a good experience!
Resort was very dirty our condo had a great view of the ocean but was very dirt / elevators and pools were disgusting couldn t even use the pools / bathrooms very dirty it had mold , the tiles very dirty too
We paid $ 2000.00 for 2 rooms with kitchen but very disappointed with cleanliness of the resort / help desk were amazing but management need to look into the housekeeping services
Will not use this resort again
The housekeeping staff could use a little work, but the place is very clean, elevators are hard to get and one of them was down the entire time we were there
Got exactly what I asked/paid for!!!! The room was great the views were even better. Definitely we ll return
I had a horrible experience at Bay View Resort. We reserved a 2 bedroom condo which had an A and a B side. Initially things were ok. Front desk staff was nice and then night 1, I was lying in bed and from the corner of my eye I noticed something crawling on the wall. It was a roach. Not a water bug, I m talking household roach. I killed it and proceeded into the kitchen area where the phone was located to call the front desk and as I was walking into the hallway I notice on the tiled floor 3 small roaches scattering when I turned on the light. I called the front desk and they offered to move me into another room. They did one floor under the previous floor, same room type. Well it didn t end there. The night of our last night there what do we find again on the A side of the condo? Household roaches!!!!!! I went to the front desk this time to speak to the manager and he offered to give me $150 off my total. Really????? And then on top of that the pool area was very small and smelled so strongly of chlorine. The lazy river was small. There was only one pool and a kiddie pool. There was supposed to be a splash pad outside which was a joke. Thank God we were checking out because the water apparently was off that morning. I know a pipe burst is not their fault but could we have at least gotten a note under the door or something to warn us??!? Then when we loaded up the cart to check out, only 1 elevator was working I had to wait 45 minutes in the hallway for an elevator!!!!! Needless to say I will never stay here again and I advise others not to stay here. Apparently from what others that were staying there were saying it has gone down a lot over the years. They need to fumigate that entire place and get new management if they want to stay in business!
I love here and work there its a nice beautiful , attractive place best of all
Loved that we got to get a room in front of the ocean
price affordable and staff was extra nice enjoyed our stay and would love to visit it again
It s very clean and the staff is very attentive. However, make sure you get the ocean front suites. Otherwise it s just expensive and you get to see the adjacent buildings instead of the sunrise.
It was a room with 4 walls and a roof, I enjoyed the fact that I could sleep in this space.
Great place to bring family and friends to enjoy the beach and palm trees. Bay view resort is affordable at this time of year but the hotel itself is a three star. The pool area is quite old.
Nice facilities. Clean, silent , in front of the beach and nice attendance. The equipment rooms have everything to easy your life. I highly recommend.
The ocean side view from the 19th floor was absolutely astounding. The hotel was clean the staff was courteous and professional. The rooms were more than I thought they would be. When I go back to Myrtle Beach I'm definitely staying at this hotel
Absolutely perfect for kids. Very budget friendly, full kitchen, washer and dryer, inside pool area and outside splash pad. Easy access to Boardwalk and restaurants. Parking garage is across the street, but if you have handicap parking you can park next to the hotel.
Can't forget about the Starbucks at the base of the hotel!
For my 1st time in Myrtle Beach and the Carolinas. This resort is a great place in the middle of EVERYTHING and the most fabulous view of the ocean you'd ever want to will come back again
The staff I encountered were for the most part pleasant. The rooms are not the greatest. The pool, "lazy river" and hot tub are extremely small and over crowded. We had a glass object thrown at us from others on upper floor and shattered on the ground next to us. People yelling and screaming in the wee hours of the morning apparently nothing was said about it because it continued for some time and several nights. We were told our room would be ready at 3pm which it wasn't and then someone would contact us when it was and never did so when we called back and hour and 30 minutes later we were told it had been ready. The front of the building was big enough for four or five cars maybe and people were blocking traffic to get in to unload luggage. The parking garage was a block away and you had to walk through a sketchy hotel parking lot to access it. And the elevators are terrible which is probably the same anywhere you go with that many people but it took us well over 40 minutes just to finally be able to get on with enough room when checking out. Also the room key/card don't work very well and it wasn't just ours (2) we witnessed several other people having issues accessing doors, rooms and parking garage with the badge/key/card. Needless to say this resort would be one of my last resorts after staying here. Nicer than some I suppose but not for me.
Love this place it is close enough to walk down to board walk. I have stayed there same room 3 times. I love it.
we had a 2 bedroom and it was large and having 2 restrooms with 3 girls was awesome. it was a wonderful big patio and a full kitchen with lots of space. we would stay there again for that reason. the negative for us was the parking. you have a parking garage across the street which is behind another hotel that you have to walk from to get back across the street to the hotel. its a little shady and we would never let our daughters walk across alone! As far as the building its secure you have to use the key to get in any door and the pool area. the pool area was congested and small kids under 10 running everywhere and no one really to monitor. (which I agree is the parents job) but still it was irritating as the hot tub was always full with kids the 4 days we were there. its a beautiful walk to the pier and the beach is really pretty in front of the hotel.
The service was incredible. Great rooms that were clean. The whole place just has a very pleasant atmosphere. 10 out of 10 would recommend!
Friendly, nice, clean rooms, tons of fun down at the pool. We come here every year and love it.
My family and I absolutely loved it!!
My uncle passed away so his nieces and sister inlaws wanted to surround his wife my aunt her with happiness for a week
We had an amazing week ,and I will never get a ocean view again I loved the sunset view street view that balcony had someone on it throughout the day and night!!!!!
We rented a 6 seater golf cart rode around visited shops
The room was very spacious clean comfortable furniture and bed
The staff was amazing very friendly, the pool was very clean plenty of towels provided
That stay was above abd beyond any other it was like it was magic!!!
My family plans many returns!!
Thanks Bay View
Nice. The parking is across the street. Hated that.
The one star is for the ocean view. The balcony was dirty bird poop nasty plastic chairs table with cigarette burns. Tiny cramped room. Old needs a update. Because it s old, and worn looks dirty. Ceilings plaster falling down in. Air conditioning wasn t adjustable. No convenient place for breakfast. And it s a resort! Not in my definition. Two pools but none on the outside. Exercise room equipment was good. But no hand sanitizer or sanitizer for the machines. Always empty. Bottom line maintenance was minimal especially with the number of kids and adults. I wouldn t stay there again it is not a resort. Just a big old hotel with a pool!
Bad timing I suppose with my rating...elevators were ridiculous and slow, half of them were out of commission more than 2 of our 3 day stay. On the positive side, the lazy river pool is fun for the kids, it's small but it was fun. The access to the beach is also a great plus. Walking around to the boardwalk and near by restaurant's was great.
I came to visit family in North Carolina and told them I wanted visit a beach before I go back to Illinois and they brought me here and I was not upset it is beautiful! The weather was great and overall experience was a thumbs up. I had alot of fun and before we left we did some shopping I got cute souvenirs. It was a nice way to end my weekend
Would give a 0. The sicerity guy was very rude and disrespectful . Poor manager should be fixed for having people like that on staff.. NEVER GO BACK.
One of the best values on the beach for a modern luxury building. The parking is exceptional and secure. I will be going there from now on exclusively.
