Bay View Resort Review

Amazing resort! Fortunately my family and I got the ocean front view. The place was very clean and the customer service was outstanding. If you're coming to Myrtle Beach consider this resort as one of your options!

Hotel was beautiful employees were beyond rude. What happened to southern hospitality

We walked intoour apartment to find the door was open there were two men in the bedroom and a 5 foot hole in the wall. they were maintenance men they were working on the pipes we had a 5-foot hole in a wall which they did not close or cover up. I was afraid something was going to crawl through the wall so I had to stuff a couch cushion into the wall they did not give us another room they said they didn't have one they were supposed to take 250 off our bill which they never did I would not recommend this place again

Items in my room one taken and left a cooler by mistake, I've gone to I left my stuff website as I was told to do, and I've reached back out to Bay view several times via email, messaging, and calling but always get voicemail and I'm still waiting to hear from someone.

Great location, nice rooms. Housekeeping is not the best, had very dirty floors, and trash bags in hall. But overall was not a bad hotel.

Stayed overnight 18Mar2013. Off season on Monday total cost $101 for one bedroom w/two beds plus sofa bed on 17th floor, on beach/boardwalk, ocean view w/big balcony. Very modern, full kitchen, washer/dryer, granite countertops, dining table seats 6 plus seating at the kitchen bar, two TVs, Internet. Parking included in secure gated 5 story garage a block away, it really is pretty close to the hotel. Indoor swimming pool/hot tub and exercise room. Easy walking distance to central boardwalk area and amusement park. Staff great. Easy in and out for us as it was off season, could be crowded during summer, I can see where it could be a pain getting luggage in/out via small driveway with the three elevators for 18 floors. Starbucks coffee shop on bottom floor. Very nice hotel, we had a great stay and would stay there again.

Arrived to a clean, spacious room with plentiful amenities. The full kitchen was stocked with dishes and utensils and the washing machine came with a small amount of detergent.It is very conveniently located with easy access to the beach and a short walk to restaurants and attractions along the boardwalk. It is reasonably priced and a great deal for it's comfort and ease of access.

Had to wait until after 3 o'clock for the room to be ready. I had to find something to do in the hot sun until the room was ready. Room was very small. Supposed to have two queen size beds but they were full size. No breakfast. Only have one hot tub.
Paid $244 for two nights. Very disappointed in my experience.

This hotel had the sweetest staff and if you needed anything they would try to make it happen. To get to the lobby to check in you have to get into the elevator and press the L button. The lobby has two pool tables, one ping pong table, a small bar, seating areas, a hallway that leads to the gym (24/7 has treadmill, elliptical, a crossfit stand, and weights), and a snack bar. The room that my friend and I reserved had two queen beds with a view of the beach from our balcony. Every morning it's optional to have basic room service where they make the bed, replace towels, and replenish toiletries. Unfortunately, we didn't make it to the free breakfast as we both eat later in the morning out of habit. The parking garage is located two minutes away from the hotel and it's a bit sketchy so I wouldn't advise anyone to walk over there by themselves. There is three jacuzzis, one big pool, a lazy pool, some kiddie pools, and two water slides. If you have a gaming system that you want to hook up to the TV be prepared for the slowest internet especially if you are an online gamer and you might want to consider a hotspot. There are decent restaurants within walking distance of the hotel, most of them aren't ridiculously priced and they have menus available online with the option of delivery to hotel. We enjoyed our stay at the Bay View and I would recommend this hotel to couples or families.

Staff were super friendly and room was clean. Really enjoyed the pool as well. Christy who worked the front desk on night shift really went above and beyond for us to ensure we had our room! Thank you Christy!!!!

Very nice clean hotel the lazy river is amazing. The pool is great too the indoor pool and lazy river were a little too cold to swim In but the hot tub was perfect.

It was very wonderful to be in that place the first hotel thanks to our family enjoyed everything from that beach to the open sea was something unforgettable

Really enjoyed the location great staff great accommodations not far from Malaga local attractions even though you may have to walk a block for your parking but have great security I would recommend baby you to anyone

More than what I expected. Hot breakfast was also more than I expected very friendly staff. would stay here again.

Room was small and no where to sit other than on the bed. Swimming area is tiny and boring. Did like private balcony, secure parking deck and Starbucks.

My family and I reserved a 4 bedroom condo. The rooms were filthy and most of the furnishings were outdated/damaged. There was also a very unpleasant odor and dead roaches everywhere. The linen was visibly soiled so we spent valuable vacation time laundering and cleaning the room upon entry. When we expressed our concern to the front office staff, we were told (Rudely) that they were minimally staffed and could not do anything to rectify the situation. This was by far one of the worst lodging experiences I have ever had. I wanted disseminate this information as widely as possible in order to alert other travelers.

Awesome place but thr beds arent comfortable and some are stained. The pillows are frumpy and there are not enough by any means.

This resort needs a major makeover and remodel. The carpet is dirty and smells in places. The tv remotes don't work. Curtains by the sliding door are getting worn out with see thru holes. TV stand swivel is broken. Popcorn ceiling is falling apart in the living area. Couches hand rest is super dirty. Dinning table has sings of wear on the sides. Light fixtures thru out the hotel room are rusty. Balcony floor is dirty from previous people smoking on the balcony. The pool is filthy dirty. I didn't even want to swim there or take my kids to the pool. There has to be a better way to check in also. We had to wait over an hour to get our room. Lines were ridiculously long. I would give a 5 Star for customer service and the staff. Workers here are very nice and helpful. Would I come back again? Maybe if this hotel did a remodel and an uplift of furniture. Views are spectacular from the balcony.

I went during the week with my 3 kiddos. It was nice. Not too crowded with easy access to the activities available at the resort. Located right on the beach with gorgeous views of the ocean from the room, the restaurant, and the water park. Will definitely come back next time I m in Myrtle Beach!

It was just built last year prices r crazy but its worth it

We are looking into planning our well overdue honeymoon for October this year & Bay View Resorts is our #1 on the list!!! The exercise room looked very clean & up to date. I do plan on using it on our next trip there. As well as starbucks! Ice machines were close by & clean. We even got a free DVD rental one night! Location was fantastic! We parked our car in their parking garage & didn't use the car again until we left at check out! Everything you want is close by. We even got up early one morning & had our coffee on the beach, as we watched the sun rise! Very beautiful! Highly recommend Bay View. It was our 1st resort & we loved every minute of it!

I was not pleased with our stay. Hotel room was hot and it was a nightmare trying to get up or down on the elevators

Not a good experience. Definitely not worth the price we paid at all! Only two little elevators for 18 floors so we waited forever for the elevator on the 10th floor. No AC or ventilation on the elevator or hallway so when we stepped out of our room it felt like we were in the hottest sauna imaginable. The indoor pool was a joke and was very small. As soon as I walked into the pool area I was smacked in the face by chlorine so I know their chemicals weren't balanced. Had to call the front desk multiple times to get bedding for the couch bed and finally at midnight they brought them to us after first calling at 9. The view of the ocean was poor due to the nice rig right in our view of the ocean. Did not have prompt and good service when we called the front desk for anything. If you want to get less for the price you pay then stay at the Bay View Resort.

Located just a few blocks from the Grand Strand keeps u close to all activities but far enough away that late night activities doesnt bother u. Direct access to beach, indoor pool and hot tub. Clean rooms and friendly service, been coming here for the last 10 years

The view was great and most of the staff was helpful but the. Room was nasty hair in the sheets, bathroom, and in the towels. And then the first nights stay the popcorn celling kept falling on us because of the partying going on above us. Two nights in a row this happened no sleep got part of my money back and left will never return. Nothing but a party hotel as you can see from the pics our cloths and floor and bed was covered by the morning with parts of the celling

First it was not clean. Secondly, the pool was not clean. They had no cleaning service to clean the rooms every day. The rooms had an unpleasant smell. I will not be back again.

Great hotel staff and a beautiful view of the ocean

Smelled like pot smoke on every floor. This review will send more heads there no doubt. Company only cares about money, and it shows everywhere. I will never spend a dime with them again.

We usually don't have any problems with this motel. Allison usually checks us in, and our experience at the motel is mostly satisfying.

Service was very good But the rooms did not have enough towels and there was no DVD player when they offer free movie rentals The service was nice enough to bring another one but the sound didnt work. The hot tub was nice.

Nice hotel, was clean rooms were big and prices were great. Had a couple minor issues with the room nothing big . Hotel has an odd layout and there seemed to be a lot of issues with elevators.

First of all the price is fantastic in the off season. After taxes, fees etc.... I am paying around 70.00 per night for an ocean side, one bedroom penthouse suite that's like staying in an apartment.

The staff is incredibly kind and go above and beyond to make you feel welcome, comfortable and happy. They are always glad to point you to the best spots around town for fun, food and relaxing and usually come up with great coupons and discounts for any of it.

The rooms are spotless, well maintained and stocked up with all your needs. The beds are very comfortable as well. The patios are huge, with the entire wall leading to them made of floor to ceiling sliding glass doors for awesome ocean views. I have yet to hear another guest nor outside noise in any room I have stayed in, so sleep is not a problem.

They do offer weekly and monthly rentals. They have an indoor pool, lazy river, kiddie pool and a very large extremely powerful hot tub which I highly recommend. There's also giant checker and chess sets in the pool area for the lil ones.

There's shuffle board on the third level outside terrace overlooking the strand. There's a kiosk to check out a dvd movie to play in your room. You can take one per room at a time, but can get another everytime you return one for your entire stay. It is included in the room price.

I highly recommend this place and appreciate their staff greatly. I added photos of the penthouse and some of the amenities and views so check it out.

Good place to take the family, a little bit older, but would stay again.

We always stay at Bayview on the Boardwalk. Perfect Location. We always stay in Condo F which is perfect...kids in one bedroom with their t.v. and us in king oceanfront bedroom. Can't even hear anyone in hallways. 2 full bathrooms...and kitchen with almost everything. I always take pizza pan and a nonstick skillet just in case. Also recommend taking your Kcup machine. Like most coffee pots...they take forever.
Large hotel going up right next door to Bayview on the North (sky wheel) side so the views on that side are pretty much blocked. Just get oceanfront and you will be fine:) Still a great place and will keep going back. (Bayview has perfect view of fireworks shot off at The Pier)

Nice room with ocean view and balcony. The room was clean and the staff was courteous.

They have a Starbucks attached to their Hotel. We stopped in and got drinks. They were very friendly and offered advice on a drink I asked about.

Very nice place to stay when traveling. Very clean rooms... They also have washer in dryers in the suites. Spacious. Only thing i didnt like it the pool water had a bad smell to it. Like it needed to be cleaned. Other than that it was a great environment for family vacations or for couples.

Front desk staff, Chardonnay, was very helpful and nice. Got upgraded to oceanfront room, which was lovely, but the room with 2 double beds was very small, but yet the bathroom was clean and very roomy. Elevators extremely slow. No outdoor pool only indoor pool. Overall average hotel stay. Happy 6 year Anniversary to my hubby and I.

Nice accommodations and friendly staff that seem very willing and eager to please. Rooms are modern with just the right touches and the staff are willing to help out in any way they can.

Just got back home to Indiana from a wonderful vacation in Myrtle Beach! We stayed in an oceanfront room with our 16 yr old son. Room was clean upon arriving, plenty of towels etc. The room was cleaned every day before noon. Never saw a single bug, bathroom was spotless. We are pretty picky people and the only complaint I would have would be the elevators, but, some of that is due to some people seemingly bringing their whole house with them. :-). We've stayed at plenty of oceanfront hotels/condos and the elevator issue is just something that you have to deal with when you have a 19 story bldg. The pool area is small but when you have a ocean, it's more than enough. The spray pad was a lot of fun, even for us adults. We would definitely consider staying here again. Bonus, ring side seats on our balcony for the fireworks our last night there!

We came back to this hotel this year because last year we enjoyed it so much! Very nice staff, Clean rooms and quiet atmosphere. The only complaint that i would have is the lighting in the bathrooms is terrible and the pillows are not comfortable at all.

The room was immaculate and the price wasnt bad for a full room with kitchen and living room.

I visited the Starbucks in front of the resort, and it was fast and the people were pretty nice, the place was really cramped tho

Staff was friendly. The view of the beach was perfect, and the lazy river, kiddy pool, and hot tub was really good for the family. Most likely be coming back soon!

Great hotel all together, very nice rooms, great views, very nice that it's right on the board walk. There only being 4 elevators does kinda suck when there are 19floors.

Checked in late at night but desk staff was super friendly. Concierge helped us with discounted tickets to our chosen attractions, room is kind of small but the balcony is large to make up for it. I would return.

A little dated rooms but over all great experience.

First time here. Although it is a pretty cute hotel and the rooms looked and felt comfortable, completely stocked, MY ROOM WAS SOOOO COLD!!!
