Decent room quality, awesome location (the ocean view is incredible), and wonderfully nice staff. All of this topped with Starbuck vouchers makes this a fine stay.
The sofa bed felt as though you were laying on the springs. There were no air in the elevator. No air coming out of the vents in the bathroom. Also had to call housekeeping everyday of our stay just to bring towels. Another issue I had was that you had to walk across the street to get to your vehicle which was parked in there secured garage; however that also meant you had to pass by a ghetto motel to get there. Besides that, Starbucks down stairs was on point every time.
Nice rooms, pools were not great, but the over all stay was nice for the price
Checked in get to the room opened sofa bed food in the matress and stains all over it! Moved to another room couldn't use the air because the people beside us had their heat on the rooms run off the same unit. We packed up got our money back!!!!!
Location was great. Not many staff spoke or even made eye contact tho. They offer a "free" CD each day. But, there needs to be an upgrade for sure. All 3 systems in our rooms had problems & the CD's we "tried" to watch had issues. Facility needs to remove damaged & non-playable ones from circulation VS having consumer turn them in, if they are damaged. Splash pad shouldn't constantly run once activated & used, should shut down once no one is in it vs going thur a cycle. Kind of annoying, up to the 5th floor.
That hotel room and pool were good me and my family injoy it
Hotel was great! Very clean. Just two things... there was no AC in the hallways(unless the 19th floor AC was broke the entire time we were there) and in the elevators... so it's HOT until you step in your room, we stayed on the 19th floor so we rode in the heat for a while. Especially when the door would open on a few floors for people to try and get on. 2nd, the concierge was a joke!!! Stay away from them!! Buy your attraction tickets somewhere else, they do save you a quite a bit of money, it's not worth it. The lady promised me that all I had to do was ride down to another building and get a free breakfast and pick up my aquarium tickets...no.... first of all the other building was almost an hour away, then once I got there you have to sit and listen to their sales pitch for a minimum of two hours and then get plummeted with questions. I ended up having to be on the road and away from my family while they were waiting for me in the hotel room for 4 hours before I could get tickets. Once I got back to the hotel, every time I went to the lobby for something I would catch people while they were talking to the concierge service and warned them and let them know to ask questions about what they actually have to do to get the tickets. Because they will not come out until you everything you have to do so you need to ask!!
Very happy with our recent stay at bay view resort. Our check in was quick and easy. View from our room was gorgeous and the room was very clean. Check out was simple, they will send you a text if you opt for it and you simply reply "OUT." Extremely easy process.
They said our room was ready at 5 we couldn't get in till 7 so we have to sit in our cars for 2 hours while other people got rooms and the maids barely cleaned, we also specifically said we wanted the highest floor and they gave us a floor in the middle
Staff was super friendly and the room was clean. Checked obsessively for bed bugs, found none. Parking garage is removed from the main building. I wouldn't recommend going for your car too late at night without a large group.
Right on the beach. Everything within walking distance.
Was nice and quiet.. Elevators wasn't the cleanest but overall decent place for the weekend.
I highly recommend staying here, especially if you have kids. The staff here is so friendly and eager to help. The condo is amazing. The one we stayed in has two balconies, a huge kitchen, and a TV in the living room and bedroom. You get free movie rentals, a small lazy river, kiddie pool, pool, jacuzzi, outdoor splash pad, life-size chess game, life-size checkers game, on floor 2 there is a gym, and I didn't see it, but I read on floor three there's shuffleboard.
Great place to stay! Beautiful rooms, nice pool and lazy river and amazing beachfront!!
Found bed bugs in one of the rooms. But other than that its a pretty decent hotel
It a good place to visit and enjoy yourself with the family
I loved it. Elevators are slow though lol.
But a very clean establishment. Very family orientated. The parking lot is almost the best part. It's a gate closing from the top secured parking deck with key access your car will be protected.
I really enjoyed this resort. We stayed in a city view 1 bedroom suite. The location is prime, the room was spacious and updated, the front desk employees were friendly, and my overall experience was great! The only thing that I would have to complain about is the cleanliness of our actual bedroom/bed. There was sand on the sheets when we uncovered the comforter. There were crumbs/goldfish/etc under the bed. But other than that, this place rocks and I will be back!
Talk about ruining a vacation!!!! Me and my family travel to Myrtle Beach twice a year and if we don't stay here both times we at least do once, but this is definitely going to be our last time here.
Upon arriving last night the young lady behind the desk was very polite and got us squared away in our 2 bedroom suite. The sheets were dirty but that's not an issue. We called down received cleaned sheets and the kids were good to go. They had such a great time last night that we decided to stay an extra day. Called down to the front desk to ask for a later check out time(while we planned out our day) the young lady(clearly different from last night) stated that they don't offer later check out. I knew this wasn't accurate because I not only asked last night but I have requested late check out here before. Granted rules change I sent my husband downstairs to check and she stated to him that they could only do it if no one reserved our room already. She stated it was already reserved and we couldn't get it.(still not a problem)
I gathered my children out of the pool and quickly rushed to get them together to check out. I then booked again and asked could I check in early and was told there were no rooms available at the moment and that she would call me when something was available. My husband asked to speak with a manager and she replied trust me there's nothing we can do instead of getting a manager as requested.
It's 11:30 when this all occurred and we didn't check in until 3:07 that's when she stated that the room was ready. There is no reason why I should of had to wait for 4 hours with 4 small children when there were rooms available. When checking in she preceded to state that we were in the same room which I couldn't understand because she previously stated that it was reserved and that's why we couldn't check out late.
So, we go back upstairs to room 706 and the keys aren't working, I went back downstairs got another key which still didn't work when I returned upstairs. Searched for my key holder to see which room she had written down to find out that she did not give us one. She just inserted the keys inside of a brochure given to me. Fustrated and tired I decided to call downstairs instead of walk and was told I was actually in room 1905.
Get in the room and it's nasty. After waiting 4 hours for a clean room completely altering our last day I received a nasty room. The couch was filthy, the toliet had not been cleaned and the sheets weren't changed with the hair all over the bed and pillows. I will NEVER stay here again!
We checked in to room 406 on 8/17/2019 the room smelled like smoke. We called front desk and was told we could not be move because the resort was full. They sent housekeeping up to spray our room in which that didn t work. So we was told that they could clean the air with some type of air cleaner but we would have to leave the room for an hour. That was an inconvenience to us, but we did. The room was very dirty the floors was not vacuumed. This has been an horrible experience for my family I. I don t recommend this hotel to anyone. We will NOT be returning here ever again. This place has really gone down, it's very disappointing.
We were there 3 weeks ago. We will never stay there again. Requested above 4th floor. Room was on 2nd. Clean towels were requested for each day & trash to be removed. We ended up buying our own towels/ washclothes. Got to listen to LOUD music from person by the pool. Elevator was a joke guess good thing we ended up on 2nd floor we used stairs to take stuff to our room. Couldn't find a luggage cart so took husband and son 3 hours to carry stuff from parking garage 2 streets over. Silverware and kitchen things were dirty. Requested a vaccum cleaner for the week they said they would send one right up. Never happened. Only bright point the staff was nice.
Outside of the parking, I have no complaints about this resort. I often travel alone, so I am not comfortable parking in a garage away from the property and having to walk back to the hotel at night. Thankfully, the motel across the street leased a spot to me for $10/night.
Have stayed here once but have visited the Starbucks here several times. The room and staff were great. The Starbucks is very convenient if staying on the main strip.
Beautiful beach side views very nice condos. A great family place for all ages with plenty to do. Rates are very affordable and staff is helpful
No lights in room except for bathroom. Toilet clogged. only positive is its step from the beach
Swimming pools were over crowded. Cleanliness of the rooms weren't the best. But friendly staff, great location, beds were comfortable.
Room services was badd.i walked in there and no toilet paper 1 towel and my brother found a bottle of presripted pills that belonged to someone else. This place is gross
Nice staff, clean rooms, OK breakfast. Parking nearby. Oceanfront rooms give such a beautiful view.
I stayed the week of 9/30 and really enjoyed myself. All I wanted to do was relax and enjoy PEACE! My oceanfront room provided a beautiful view and it was so nice to listen to the ocean while watching the sun rise in the mornings. The staff was extremely friendly and I don't have any complaints. The parking deck is across the street but I only needed to drive one time to go to WalMart so the parking location wasn't an issue for me. There are a lot of restaurants within walking distance + a bar next door for your alcohol fix :-).
Good price. Needs to control doors in hallways, noisy as hell.
Great location. Awesome rooms. Nice people. Elevators little slow.
BEWARE! I made a reservation in August and this hotel didnt charge me for my down payment until 3 months later, which not only screwed up my reservation(so I had to find a new place to stay) but also screwed up my credit card!
Clean room. No coffee in the room even though there is a coffee maker. Very bare minimum in the way of cookware, cutlery, etc. Nice kitchen. No restaurant/lounge on premesis. Parking is 2 streets away, which makes bringing any necessities like groceries to the room. Check-in parking is a very small area and gets jammed up if there are 4 cars trying to unload and check in.
Enjoyed my stay and staff was very nice and helpful
Could use more elevators as it gets pretty crowded at times. Great rooms and rates. We stayed here several times and have never had any issues.
Rooms are very clean! Our ocean view is great! Staff has been great as well
Roaches and employees steal out of your room so lock up your valuables. Price doesn't match the hotel.
The location is good but the rooms need to be updated
We stayed for 6 nights . When we arrived we came early and they told us they would call when the room is ready... And they called after 3. It would be better if there was screens on the doors so you can leave the door open without bugs coming in.There is also an extreme cockroach issue on the oceanfront balconies NOT IN THE ROOM from what I have seen. You pretty much pay for a view because the load/unload area is very stressful. Luckily there was a Starbucks so I can get coffee to destress. Everything else was great. Comfy beds, spacious room
We were stuck on the elavators for 45 minutes and the elavators take a long time to come and the hallway smell like fish
Inexpensive, clean rooms, friendly staff. Beautiful view of the beach.
The one bedroom oceanfront condo that I had was nicely laid out and very roomy. The only issues I had with this place is that it was not very clean, candy wrappers on the bedroom floor that were stuck under the beds and the bathroom tile floor was very dirty. Also found the top of an artificial fingernail on the living room floor. The lock on the balcony door was broken, the closet door in the bedroom was broken, and around the edges of the bed there was some areas that were broken. The beds were comfortable and the bedding was okay but the staff was not friendly at all and it needs much more thorough cleaning especially during COVID-19.
The hotel has great free breakfast every morning and is very modern.
The hotel has nice amenities, the rooms are nice but the condos are fairly small. The baby pool heater was broke for two days, in March, and the bigger pools were filled with Spring Breakers. There are only 3 elevators for the entire hotel, one of them was broke, there was over a 20 minute wait for the elevator daily. The hotel is not family orientated, it would be good for a young couple or spring breakers but not for a family with young children.
Oceanfront condo. $41.99 a night to online.
Can't beat that.
DON'T DO THIS!! I have NEVER complained before, but... The wife wanted to see some shows at MB, so we made reservations at the Bay View "Resort". Room was so tiny there was not room for a table or chair...sit on the bed. Arrived on 12/15 and attempted to take a nap..BAPBAPBAP!! Jackhammers remodeling the elevator. No hot water. In order to get to the parking garage, you have to stumble through a work zone in the street, past a motel across the street being "remodeled" (picture scrap wood, plywood, thrown away furniture, derelicts using the furniture and plywood as temporary housing), cross a second street, THEN arrive at the parking garage. Morning of 12/16, still no hot water, took cold shower and went to see the sights. Came home before going to Alabama...no maid service (thinking that a mistake was made, but didn't want to cause problems, we said nothing). Went to Alabama, let the wife out at the "Resort", parked the car, ran the gauntlet back to the "resort". 12/17 still no hot water, maid knocks on the door, and I ask her to come back in 20 minutes...maintenance arrives, and says there are not many guests at the "resort", so let the water run, and it will heat up. Spent the day at NMB, no sense in trying to take a nap with the jackhammer still active in the afternoon. Arrive back at "resort" at 5PM, and the maid has NOT been in the room!!! TWO DAYS AND STILL NO MAID SERVICE!!! Front desk sends lady up with fresh towels who apologizes profusely, and off to The Opry we go. Arrive back at the "resort" after 10 PM, let the wife out, and go park the car. At least one set of legs sticking out from under a piece of plywood propped up behind the "being remodeled" motel across the street as I walk back in the dark. 12/18, today, the shower absolutely cold. I go to the front desk, and am offered a room on the 19th floor where the water is supposedly hot, and I can take a shower. If there are "no guests", and you have hot water on the 19th floor, why the hell did I get a room on the fourth floor with no maid and no hot water? As the manager at the desk is taking half off my bill, he is actually receiving calls from other guests complaining about no hot water. Before we left a different maintenance man came to the room, related that he had "been gone", and that someone had not turned on a "circulator" in the hot water boiler.
This is not about "being comped". When you travel, sometimes the motel doesn't meet your expectations....but when you make reservations at a "resort", you just aren't expecting one of the worst experiences that you have ever had! Don't do this to yourselves!
Me and my family had a very nice time will be returning
Nice value friendly hotel for family. Wouldn't do honey moon here
Great rooms, rooms with a view, awesome environment, close to boardwalk
It was great! Nice rooms, clean only thing I didnt like so much was that the parking area is across the road... a little bit of an inconvenience but not too bad.. would recommend people to stay there!!
Another great stay! We enjoyed ourselves and wanted to stay longer.
Staff was very nice.Did whatever they could to help.Chidren stayed in the hot tub not enough elevators the wait for the elevators for way too long
Beautiful rooms and view....very quick staff as well
Love this hotel. We try to get it every time we go to Myrtle. Literally the only bad thing is the elevator is always crammed and you have to wait a long time to get on it because it has always has so many people using it
I appreciate the attempt at garage security, it probably does protect some, although someone could follow a car in, break into cars and then walk right out. Still, it's a better effort than many other properties. Rooms were big enough, clean and had a good view. Mostly quiet, although some people are loud even when they whisper. Pools were nice but freezing. Hot tub was hot but crowded because the pools were freezing. Conveniently located to downtown attractions, prostitutes and drug dealers but I carry a gun so wasn't overly concerned. Avoid Chester Street.
Being a single dad of a 5 year old daughter and having very limited time to get a vacation with her my time with her is extremely valuable to me and
words alone can NOT express how pleased I was with my stay at the Bay View Resort!!!
Yes by all means Myrtle Beach is an excellent spot but just as importantly so is the hotel one chooses to call home while away.
Location is so very good to the many attractions of Myrtle Beach and I can not express enough how wonderful and helpful the staff of the Bay View are.
You think I like this place? LOL
I look forward to many more visits to this wonderful family resort.
Nice big room, with everything in it. Downside? Only 4 elevator for 19 floors.
Affordable, clean, friendly.
Been staying here for years and always a good experience
Room was above expectations and staff was very professional and friendly.
Its not bad. Little pricey. Only seen one roach. Staff was nice. Seen a drug deal go down in the yard.
Room was clean and beds comfy. Great location if you like. Being close to everything. All in all we were happy here for the week.
Nice location, rooms okay. Service was very poor in many different ways. Amenities were nothing special. Nasty smell in halls and stairwells. Doors all slam and very loudly.
Bay View is a great hotel. There are beach front rooms available. Service was as expected.
My stay was excellent the value of the room didn't slightly match the price but very clean and very relaxing great beach access and the bar next door was great along with the restaurant across the street had excellent breakfast!!!
