I love Family Kingdom. There are a great array of rides for all ages, classic carnival food and games. The iconic Swamp Fox roller coaster, an old fashioned, wooden roller coaster is my favorite ride. Come bring the kids for a day of fun or be a kid yourself.

Probably the best thing we did on our trip to myrtle beach was visit family kingdom with our sons who are almost 4 and 6 years old. I wasn t thinking that they would not have a lot for them to do there but they had so many rides were their height. We bought the bracelets so they were able to go on unlimited rides. I only wish that they were open more than just the 4 hours window from 6 to 10. I am wondering why they aren t open earlier, especially in the summer months when lots of families are visiting with small children.

A good variety of rides for everyone. Lines weren't long. The rides could use some updates though. A couple of the cars on the Super Tilt wouldn't spin. One of the cars on the Thunder Bolt wouldn't swing. The Swamp Fox is the roughest, most jarring roller coaster I've ever experienced.

Just had so much fun with my family just wish they would let little kids could ride me rides than what they do but either way we had a blast. My grandson looked like he really did have fun.

Fun park. The rides were nice and there's something for everyone. We bought the $50 ticket book because go carts aren't included in the all day wrist band and it was enough for 3 people to ride the good rides.

Sure, this isn't the grandest of amusement parks in the country, or even the south east...but it is fairly cheap, rarely crowded, and the Swamp Fox rollercoaster is one of the best kept secrets in the south east. There are few wooden rollercoasters that will have you holding your breath like this one. With multiple butt lifts and high speed action, it alone is well worth the price of admission.

My, oh my. Where to begin. We went this past August while one vacation in South Carolina and have been to many theme parks. The attendants that work the rides for the little kids earn five stars. They were absolutely amazing and observant. Also, the price to get the wristbands was really good compared to the Northeast rates we pay. Options for little kids for rides was great for an early evening out.

With that said, there were massive rats observed running around the park, and areas that smelled awful. Luckily, our kids didn't see the rats, otherwise they would have wanted to run to our vacation home. If they had seen them, surely this would be a one. But, we are adults and wondered if there just happen to be more rats in South Carolina than Jersey? We are familiar with field mice in the country, but not at amusement parks. Other visitors did not seem all that bothered by them. They were almost amused, so, we just accepted it.

There was little to no security at the gates or anywhere to be found. As such, kids were running around unsupervised. This became a huge problem upon departure near the gate. A young teenager was playing with someone, running swiftly, looking backwards, not forward, and fell right on top of our daughter in her stroller!! Luckily my Jedi mamma skills saved her from serious harm by placing my arm out between her and him while catching the stroller with the other hand and my knee as it fell. She could have seriously, seriously been hurt. He was very apologetic, as was his mom when she realized what happened. Not one person from the park responded to any of this, because, who cares? She was crying and slightly hurt, but thank God this wasn't worse than it could have been. Security is needed for many reasons. This is just one reason why. In our day and age, you need security, at the very least, around open public gates.

I wish this review could be better. There was much potential here. Again, the ride operators were amazing and the price was great, but, at what cost?

My 14 year old nephew dropped his wallet on the bumper cars. The operator found it, probably stoled the $42 inside and turned it in empty to the lost and found. . We tried to get the management to do something but they refused!!
Also, most of the rides are even to kiddioush for my 8 year old niece. The go carts were closed and only available to 18 yr and up. So my nephew didn't even get to ride go carts!!! Needless to say we will never be back. Travel Advisory: Family Kingdom is horrible

Kids had fun. If your military ask for discount. Even if you have on military hat or shirt. They will not ask you if your military. If you do happen to pay full price they give you 30 minutes to get a refund if over 30 minutes they say sorry should of came earlier. But how do you know to ask if no one tells you about it. They don't advertise it. As I was told it was up to me to ask. So I'm trying to tell everyone.

We bought the all you can ride bracelets on-line tripster... If you use that or the coupons available it definitely is worth the price, we only had to wait actually for one ride not overcrowded mid-week in this mid June. Attendant on bumper cars was EXACTLY what you wish all attendants were like. He was having fun w/ the guests. Absolutely love amusement parks I haven't seen an attendant quite that great in years.

So many things to do here for families, adults, and kids. love the fair feel it has with the cotton candy, funnel cakes, and ice cream stands. It is cheaper to buy a wrist ban than pay with tickets. There is alot of rides. Keep your kids near you because its easy to lose them and bring comfortable shoes!

It is an over priced carnival more then a theme park. If we didn't have local discounts, we wouldn't have went. A few of the rides were fun. The hurricane and the Thunderbolt were my husband and I favorite. I would not suggest going on the swamp fox, which seems to be there main attraction. That ride flung me around like a rag doll. It was very painful. No ride should ever give you brusises nor a possible black eye. They should add more adult rides. Also they should include the water rides and the go-karts with the unlimited wrist bands. You have to buy tickets for those. Also I love that you can't smoke in the park, but I feel like they should have a designated smoking area for those who do smoke. My husband and I had fun overall though minus that death trap swamp fox. They need to update alot of there rides and add more for the adults.

If one goes for a thrilling experience one surely won t be disappointed, but rather than from the quality of the rides it ll be from the clear and apparent lack of safety, and the regard there of. I am baffled that the state of South Carolina hasn t closed this death trap. Then when you look at the pricing of place you would think you re at Disney, as it costs an arm and a leg for this glorified interstate carnival. I saw several times where staff were unhelpful, if not rude, with customers when they raised issues. In summation do not go.

Such a gem! Highly recommend. Fun, clean oceanside amusement park. Entry, games and food prices are very reasonable. Took our 5 kids on a Monday in April during spring break and there was no waiting for rides. They rode everything and had a ball (ages 3-12). Parking lot close to entrance, so no long walks back and forth to your car. $7 parking and we paid $28 for the unlimited wristbands which was worth it. Funnel cakes $6; nachos $4, pizza $4 and burgers $6 to get an idea of prices. Staff was friendly and we saw employees walking around cleaning. Swamp fox coaster intensity rivaled some of the wooden coasters I've been on at major amusement parks plus beautiful views of the ocean from the top of the coaster. Highly recommend and we will definitely be back!

Ride rules make it so just about everyone has to either buy tickets or an arm band. Our 4 yr old couldn't ride even tame non-kiddie rides with our 12 year old without me or my wife. Didn't feel like it was worth the money we spent, but kids did have fun.

Nice amusement park. Lots of rides for my 3-year old son. Agree with other reviewers that it's pricey. Most rides are 3-5 tickets, and tickets ate $1+ each. We should have gotten our son the $25 unlimited bracelet.

The boys and myself had such a great time here! They asked me the very next day if they could go back, as in right now and they sulked when I said no! I'm still recovering and it is a bit of a drive for me. The people working there were all professionals. Very welcoming and even the food was good. All their rides were operational and the wait was not long at all even for the roller coaster. The log flume twist and shake and of course the swamp fox were so much fun for us. We spent over 4 hours there and I will definitely be going back.

Great place down by the beach. We were nk impressed as to how clean the park was kept. The staff were helpful and respectful. Lines moved quickly and there were more than enough rides to keep the kids occupied. Even for those who don't ride the rides, it is nice to be able to walk in and enjoy a slice on summertime Americana along the shore. Oh, and funnel cakes!!

Family Kingdom was very good for family's with kids of all ages. Our three year old was 43 inches tall and able to get on 14 rides by himself. He was really happy to ride the helicopter with UFO ride and loved the motorcycles. It was definitely a family environment.

Super fun amusement park. The classic Swamp Fox rollercoaster is the largest in the area. They also have a wild mouse and kiddie coaster too. You can buy an all day pass or individual tickets. The train is pretty long. The Log flume is awesome and unique with the first drop/Hill! Definitely a must for adrenaline fun.

A traditional family favorite! The prices are kind of high for single tickets (each ride takes 3-5 tickets) but the wristband is a good value if you'll be riding a lot. A lot of the ride staff are seasonal and most speak basic English at most, but are friendly enough to suit this extrovert. The food spots are interesting in terms of staff- they can't get an order right to save their souls but it's just a small inconvenience. Overall we love Family Kingdom and can't wait to come back year after year!

My visit came during the Covid pandemic so a lot of the rides were closed. However, they did still have enough thrill rides open to be enjoyable. I am definitely returning on my next trip to Myrtle.

Nice amusement park with views of the ocean. Fun place to go for a night out. There is an airbrush place inside the park near the coaster and the people who work there are great. There are plenty of rides, snacks and games to pick out of to do.

Not enough rides for the bigger kids and adults the price is just to high for so little plus one ride wasn't working and one was taken out. Unless you are talking a bunch of 5 year olds then save your money!

Great family fun! I don t feel like it s overpriced. Going to look at alligators costs $24.99 for adults and $16.99 for kids at alligator adventure, so $27 unlimited wristband for something the kids love and spend hours having a great time at is not overpriced. Will definitely go back. They have lots of rides to choose from and all were in great working order and clean.

We had a great time. I wish the price for 3 years old wasn't the same price as an adult. There wasn't a lot my son could ride because of his height. But he was happy riding the same ones more than once. So I guess it was OK.

Great place for the whole family. It was our first time here, but will definitely come back.
I feel bad for some of the students who came to work in this amusement park, especially for the one who works at the motorcycle ride near the garbage, the smell there is not the best, and the kids go so excited with pressing the horn, so it should be extremely difficult to stand the sound and smell.

Okay little amusement park for the area. Lots of familiar fair rides. Do not ride the roller coaster unless you have a chiropractor on standby! Everything is overpriced; but it is a tourist spot.

It's an awesome place for Family fun. I brought my children here almost every year since 2001. Now I'm bringing my Grandson. It's very economical. Free to enter. You can buy all-day wristband or individual tickets. It's a great way to spend a beach afternoon/evening.

We had a great time and we had our pick of the rides because it had been sprinkling lightly and many had run off. We went to the water park in the morning, which is OK, but you run out of rides in a couple of hours. It is best if you go to both the water park and dry rides. We had some close parking which I liked. Kids had a great time!
