I was transferred here by ambulance to see specialists from Tempe. My room was ready and the entire staff has been kind, compassionate, considerate, attentive to my needs before I even knew what I needed. They are not the diagnose and kick them out kind of facility. They are caring for me.
I came in after losing my insurance last month, they have done all the leg work in applying for the assistance I have never needed before. I am so grateful for this facility and staff. 7th floor kicks ass!!

I have been in this hospital several times through out the years. In patient staff were very very caring. Its not perfect, but I wouldn't want to go to any other hospital for great medical attention. Unfortunately the PROCEDURE for ER services need ALOT of Improvement. Staff is great in ER and do there best. I would hope they would get faster triage. Thank You for being there when I needed medical assistance

My dad had no choice but was admitted here. I could not see him due to Covid19. The nurse and doctor updated me about my dad status when he was in ICU. Then he was transferred that's when everything went down hill. No one called me, I had to call to see how my dad was doing. I asked when will he be discharged they said before noon. My sister was waiting and calling but no answer. She told me everyone was going in and out of the front entrance. So my sister walks in and at the front desk my dad was sitting there in a wheelchair with no mask!!! and all alone!!! No phone call!! No one there at his side plus he has dementia and a fall risk!!! Where's the CARE!!! it felt like he was treated like trash!! Who knows exactly how long he was sitting there and this was at 2:15pm. I just want everyone to know who reads this. If you ever get discharged make sure you look inside the building. Honestly Where's the LOVE!! I just hope my dad never ever gets admitted here!!! It is totally unacceptable to be treated like this!!!

Terrible wait service, I took my 8 month old for really high fever. We spent 4 fricken hours in the emergency department. I understand the wait is depended on the severity of the illness and so fourth but it's a baby needing to be checked out. I believe infants should be the #1 priority since anything can be wrong. I ended up just leaving from that place , there was like 10 other adults that had been waiting prior to us arriving so we were definitely not going to be seen soon.

Their maternity/labor and delivery ward is amazing! Everyone there was so nice and professional. From my induction to discharge every person I spoke with who helped me was wonderful. Each of them were kind and took the time to explain what they were doing and how it worked. Care and response time was quick and professional, with everyone being nice, and sometimes joking or talking with you.
Their policies on newborns are simply amazing as well. Normally I have to stress how much I want skin to skin with my baby before anything else, but at Banner, the policy is that the mother gets skin to skin with baby for the first hour before testing or even weight is taken.

I'm unsure if I'm going to add another child to my family as I have two now, but if I do, I plan to return to Banner for the birth.

I ve been sitting here since 9:00am this morning. It s now 3:15pm. The resident ER doc said he could do what I need done but that he wanted an ENT to come in and do it. The ENT was supposed to be here by 12:30pm. Nobody has come back to my rook since.

I was sent here from Banner Gateway and apparently that ER could have just don t he procedure last night while I was there. The only reason I m here is because they were supposed to have ENTs at this hospital.

Absolutely ridiculous. Iso far I ve paid $1,200 to watch cable TV in a hospital bed.

We waited 8 hours in the ER with a broken ankle for a BOOT! JUST A BOOT! My fiancee's foot is covered in blisters, he was ignored when he turned on his call light for pain meds, i had to pace the hallways on the er to find a nurse that was "clocked on", and all the other nurses thought it would be more entertaining to have a coffee hour in the middle of the ER, instead of attending to the patients. Never in my life, have i EVER BEEN SO DISGUSTED AND DISAPPOINTED with staff who are supposed to be CARETAKERS!!!!! Disrespectful, rude, short tempered and obviously incompetent because now we are in the waiting room yet again, to get it corrected. Do not go here if you want to live. Your better off in a ditch

The facility itself seems to be managed with very little professionalism or common sense, but all of the doctors and nurses we interacted with were great. Navigation was confusing from the get-go. When pulling in, the first sign we saw pointed us right for same-day surgery, but that led us to valet parking when we really ought to have gone left for the parking garage. Better to leave signage regarding the layout of the hospital for foot-traffic areas only (it shouldn't be the first sign you see from your car).

Elevator in the garage reads "GROUNG FLOOR" instead of "GROUND FLOOR;" that's always a good sign. At 5:30 a.m., we couldn't figure out where to go because it was dark, and the front lobby had the words CARDIOLOGY CENTER plastered on the front, so we assumed that wasn't it. Found the same-day surgery area (we knew we probably had it wrong but were hoping to get help), and were eventually directed back to main registration.

One woman at the registration desk was especially nasty to both my boyfriend (the patient) and his visitors (his parents and I), unprovoked. Only after his mom filled out a complaint card did the staff member apologize to us. The issue she took with us was that she had called us multiple times with no answer. We had been listening, but the waiting room was large, there was no loud speaker and none of the staff were making an effort to speak more loudly or walk over to the far ends of the waiting area to be heard. After the woman's apology, she and other staff members began doing just that.

After my boyfriend's surgery, one of the male nurses wheeled him down to be picked up, but we couldn't get the car out of the parking garage to do so without the parking validation, which he had. We were stuck for a little bit before I ran the parking validation over from the nurse to the ticket booth. Meanwhile, my boyfriend was sitting post-surgery in a wheelchair on the curb. How mercenary to put your $8 parking fee over the comfort and care of one of your patients. I appreciate that the nurse was patient and helpful while this was going on.

Was treated horrible by post op nurse after surgery. Ended up being admitted and only one nurse was kind to me. Everyone else treated me terrible no compassion for the horrific pain I was in. I literally felt abused and beaten down. I will never return to this hospital. Wouldn t send anyone there! Will be contacting better business bureau and local news stations. Mentally torturing patients because of pain after surgery is cruel and Inhumane! Felt like I was in a 3rd world country or a socialist country. No compassion at all! I feel completely abused!

Four years after my last (and only) visit to Good ...

Four years after my last (and only) visit to Good Samaritan Hospital, I still have a collection status on my credit report. My fault, but I'm angry.
On a referral from my physician, I made appointment for " Vestibular Rehab " at the hospital to address a temporary vertigo that was affecting me. I presented my insurance card, paid $100 co-pay. A technician spent about an hour with me, gave me a 2 page handout as I left. No treatment rates were posted or ever mentioned and I assumed I had paid in full. Subsequently I received a bill for $320 from Good Samaritan, called its accounting department for explanation. I was told that the insurance payment and my co-pay were insufficient to cover the bill . Amazed me. I asked how much the visit had cost and I was told the standard rate was $200 per 15 minutes of treatment ( $800 per hour ) ! I called the Vestibular Rehab department to verify, called my insurance carrier, called the hospital accounts department to complain. I was simply told....this is what we charge, no justification or explanation. I could easily afford to pay $320 balance, but refused......on general principles, common sense basis. An $800 charge for the treatment I received is unconscionable.
Sour grapes ( from me ) four years later, but buyer beware.

My aunt died there today. She was morbidly obese. 700+ pounds. She got such good care. They cleaned her well before she passed. There was a team of nurses, 5+ people, all working on her. They made her feel comfortable and as clean as she could, and she really deserved it. The nurses were so nice and didn't make her feel insecure about herself. She was in constant pain and the nurses made her feel a little better before they went. They did everything they could to save her and tried to keep her breathing for almost 4 hours until she finally passed. When we came to see her the Chaplain took us into a private room and explained to use what happened and that she was dead. He was very supportive and spent the day helping us. He gave us his pager number to call if we ever needed support or anything.
Thank you, to the staff for making my aunt feel as comfortable as she could be before she went. It means the world to us, she really deserved it.

They were amazing!!! I picked up my friend from another hospital where she had been for almost 12 hours in pain waiting for a bed.
When we got to Banner she was in a room seeing a Dr within 30 minutes.
A big THANKYOU to BECKY and JAN at the check in desk for being so kind personable and helpful. You both are exactly where you should be. You listened and understood the situation. I could hug you!!! I'm confident they will be able to finally put an end to the pain my friends been going through and get her on a path to recovery.

Rude night staff. Discharged me without doing ANY bloodwork or UA. Simply looked at my paperwork that I had from another hospital (the one telling me to go to a hospital with an ob if the pain gets worse to be admitted) NINE hours prior. So to do no blood work or UA to check my WBC when they had documentation of it being high. This is why I DO NOT LIKE BANNER HOSPITALS.

It was great but when it was time to discharge, there was orders for one more treatment. I was so upset that we waited over a couple of hours and these orders were not seen. It is after 10pm and we are still here. Than to top it off i tried to park in the pick up area and was told it was for a ambulance only....i thought they had a designated area for Ems. .. security was not very nice. So now i wait for a call to come pick up so im not parked in front of lobby. Really...

Trust me when I say, absolutely DO NOT go to this hospital for mental illness issues. The ER department is not trained in compassion nor in the deescalation of individuals who are unable to deescalate themselves. You will be disrespected for your symptoms and as a person.

last i was in this hospital was 01/09/19. i unfortunately gave birth early and lost my son, but aside from the tragic and sensitive event the hospital was more than accommodating. they checked on my family and made sure they were taken care of. all of the doctors and nurses were great and one particular doctor i want to thank is Dr. Garcia. He had seen me the weekend before i delivered; i spoke with him over the phone through the OB on call number and my mom & boyfriend also spoke with him more than once. He truly did everything he could for me and was very patient and empathetic. The hospital has gone out of their way to have nurses call me to make sure me and my boyfriend are doing okay following the loss of our son. They also sent us a package recently with photos of our son and they're just beautiful. in such a tragic moment the hospital staff were so caring, understanding, and patient and we couldn't be more grateful.

This place is disgusting. Everything around is dirty. Seriously has a valet and paid parking. Just another reason not to ever go to Phoenix. They'll also f up food orders although I'm sure they still charged insurance for the food they didn't bring. This place is obviously a business and not a place to get help.

My wife and I recently had a baby boy at Banner Good Samaritan. Everybody that was involved in the delivery did their job, not just like the best professional, but also like the people that choose the job because they really enjoy what they do. We were more than impressed with amount of care, understanding they have given us. Doctors did their job the best they could, and the nurses gave us even more. I mean that they were with us for a very, very long time. Few shifts changed on us.
True care for us and our baby did not just stop their, after delivery we were moved to post partum, and they just continued to impress us with how much they tried to make us feel good, safe, and feeling good.
I don't think one could ever ask for more from the staff. This was our first child, whole thing lasted about 24h, and during that time everybody involved was at their best. Great People, great staff, great environment to have a baby.
Thanks Banner Good Samaritan.

Went here twice in my pregnancy. First time wad gr...

Went here twice in my pregnancy. First time wad great absolutely loved it. They saw I was pregnant and even though the ER was full they treated fast and nicely. Made me decide to give birth here. That was a mistake. I went in with contractions 2-3 minutes apart and barely walking. Nurse saw me asked me questions and even though the ER was empty took her sweet time to attend me. Nurse who took me up to OB same thing even stopped to chat to someone on the way. At OB the nurse who attended me had a habit of not sanitizing her hands when she walked in to see how dilated I was. And when it was time to place me on an IV I had to be stuck 3 times because she couldn't get it right the first two times. Not to mention they weren't gentle with that arm at all even after asking them nicely. Things went nicely after that. If that had been the only issues truthfully I wouldn't be writing this review. Loved the nurse who helped me push she was soo helpful and Friendly. Only reason I put two instead of one. What really pissed me off though was how they treated my baby after. My labour wasn't easy, let's just say my son did NOT want to come out. They had to use a vaccuum to take hime out. Needless to say I was TIRED after delivery. They allowed me to hold my baby before taking him to the Nursery to clean him and check on him. I figured that they would check him completely to make sure he was okay. They didnt. They had said the vacuum would lead to a bit of bruising on his head. They didn't even bother to check it. I have the video of when they gave him his first bath. My baby was screaming the whole time. More so when they washed and scrubbed his head with soap. I figured it was becuase he wasn't use to the water. They returned him to me clean and in a small cap. I asked what they had done and they told me all they did put in and IV for antibiotics and give him a bath. I was still really tired so I fed him and we both went to sleep. Wasn't till the following morning when my mom visited that I realized my son didn't have any slight bruising from the vacuum. Instead he had 3 MASSIVE CUTS on his head. I remembered the video and instantly got furious. The nurse was rubbing soap into my child's cuts like she didn't even know they were there. We continued to check him and I found a bandaid on the bottom of his foot when I removed I noticed that they had put a needle in him. Um his IV was on his arm, so what the hell did they put in his foot?! I asked for a nurse to ask her about his foot and his head. She checked the notes and said that the nurse never checked his head and documented the cuts but they would put antibiotic cream on it. (Which they never did) not just that but she was unsure of what they had put in his foot. Needless to say I was 100000% pissed. I had trusted my baby in their care and they didn't care for him at all. The nurses after that were rude and always had something to say about how I was feeding or changing or walking or holding. Basically everything. Wasn't until the last nurse that the service improved. Truthfully if God blesses me with another child. This hospital is definitely NOT the one I'm going to.

I was there a few years ago while on vacation to Arizona. I'm from New York state. I went into the ER with a raging fever and severe nausea, and was told that I would spend the night in the hospital. Then, after throwing up all over myself, they hurried me to an isolation room claiming I may have meningitis. The doctor eventually ordered a spinal tap, and I was begging for him not to do it as I couldnt handle any more pain. He looked me dead in the eye and said "if you dont get this test done, you are going to die". I'm 19 years old, thousands of miles from home and my family, with my son and best friend in our hotel room with no way to communicate with me, I'm scared and being told that I'm going to die if I dont get a test done.
Meningitis was ruled out and I was given a series of different medications via the IV. The medications made me painfully itchy and made my skin feel like it was burning, but the doctors didnt care. They just said it would pass.
This hospital traumatized me. I am so glad I'll never be back there. I was covered in bruises up and down my arms because the nurses couldn't not find my veins and needed to use an ultrasound machiene to find them.
Also, they spelled my name wrong, so my insurance refuses to cover the cost.
I was never told what they were treating me for, nor was I given a proper diagnosis. To this day I still dont know what illness I had.

We re from South Africa and although we are super patriotic and love our country, living in Phoenix and needing to find a hospital for our delivery was important.

We fell in love with the staff at Banner. They are all highly professional but kind and friendly and overall just downright amazing.

It s scary being in a country where you have no family but they made us feel at home and nothing was ever an effort- they were all incredible. They will always be our first choice in the future and we thank them for making our delivery such a wonderful experience.

The facilities too are top notch! Great hospital and people.

I was highly dissatisfied when I cut my finger to the bone and the nurse told me that its not important it s just a scratch. He was very rude and disrespectful. I asked how long it takes to do a stitch because my son is in nicu. The nurse scoffed at me and said maybe I should just leave it ll be a few hours other people here are actually hurt not coming to the ER for a scratch.

I visited Banner University Medical Center for a S...

I visited Banner University Medical Center for a Stress Test on Nov 30, 2018. After the test and a visit to my Cardiologist, I was informed I needed work for heart artery blockages. I was referred to Dr. Preshard at the medical center. My first procedure was scheduled for noon on Dec. 10. We were asked to arrive at 10:00 a.m. for preparation. The procedure was scheduled for noon. I was waiting in pre-op until shortly after 2:30 p.m. During this time we were very close to the nurses station when Dr. Preshad entered and proceeded to chastize and degrade a colleague at the top of his lungs for several minutes in front of nursing staff and patients in the area. Everyone in within ear range was very taken back and disgusted with the unprofessional behavior of this arrogant person. Thirty minutes later the procedure took place and everything went well. It only took about 20 to 30 minutes. I was infomed I needed to return for another procedure on Dec. 13. We arrived at 1:00 for a 3:00 p.m. procedure. I was taken into the OR very quickly. Dr. Preshard and his fellow were in the room during this event. There also was a young female in the room believed to have been a doctor. This procedure took quite a bit longer than the previous time. It lasted approximately 90 minutes. The entire 90 minutes, all the doctors were joking around and laughing very loudly while I was having pain and extremely uncomfortable. This was a very very difficult procedure. It was NOT FUNNY, NOR A JOKE. I am not sure what I would have done if Jason, who was my nurse, had not been there. Thank goodness, he chose to be attentive to the patient. He nor I saw anything amusing. After a few hours in post op I was released to head home with my wife. No doctor ever came in to see me before we left. The next day I did not even recieve a phone call from the hospital at my home as I did after my first visit. Once they have your money or that of your insurance company you are no longer that important. I do appreciate the nursing staff in the cardiac area. Erica was nothing short of an angel on my first visit. And on my second vist I was taken care of by Brenda.

Absolutely the WORST care. And do not even think about coming here without insurance! I d almost rather sit in the waiting room for 2 hours and receive REAL CARE. They ll do a 30 second half a** evaluation and send you off as if you do not matter. The doctor came in, looked at my boyfriends potentially cancerous symptoms and within 5 minutes he was out the door. No diagnosis, no recommendations/suggestions. We left in the same situation we came in with. IF YOU WANT TO BE A DOCTOR, AT LEAST CARE ABOUT YOUR PATIENTS. I won t be back, neither will anyone else. It is no wonder you guys have such horrible reviews. You deserve every one of them.

Went in for asthma and wasn't in the waiting room a good 10 minutes before they called me back. The staff was excellent and really attentive. Friendly too. Glad she wasn't a doctor.

I must say when we first arrived at the Emergency last Saturday, i was very impressed by the change in the ER..my husband was treated for his liver and needed blood transfusions, and wound care, i was impressed with the staff, they explained everything and took care of him real good i thought, then they decided to admit him , he stayed two nights, then was released on Monday, i should have known it was going to be bad when his nurse called in his scripts to the wrong drug store, i tried contacting the floor were he was discharged, and was told he would be okay until his pharmacy got the records to transfer his scripts 48 hours..48 hours went by his scripts still had not been transferred or filled and were talking a patient with liver failure, after going back and fourth and on the phone we got them filled. We were told as soon as he is released to call his primary doctor for follow up and begin the meds for his liver. Earliest appointment the 16th of this month..meanwhile hes home miserable, shortness of breath, a cough that will not go away, he looks 9 months pregant, he cant sleep because the itching and numbness, i mean who discharges a patient that is no better than the day he waa admitted..he is not the kind to go to doctor visits, and now, hes refusing all together because we have been back and fourth to two hospitals and nobody is helping him. What a disappointment

Better hope your family member doesn t get sent here. There is a reason they have such a low rating. My mother has been there for 2 weeks. Can t go see her. Have talked to a doctor 1 time in 2 weeks. Hard to get a hold of a nurse to get information. Ridiculous, this is the new normal they talk about with covid, an excuse to be incompetent!!

My dad was there 2 days a piece of his finger was cut, they didn't know when they could have surgery if the same day or the next day but thank God they did it that same day the day after the operation he was in a lot of pain from 1 to 10 he was 10 he talked to the nurses and they came in one and the other and they only saw him after 3 hours with that pain at last he was one of many and gave him something. Even the person who was sharing a room with him went to ask them to give him something for his pain and he also complained about the bad service he was given, he said he lasted 7 hours in pain and no one was going to attend him that disappointment.

I recently had my daughter there. The staff was amazing!

How ever my son is currently there waiting in the ER to be seen, he has asthma and is having a hard time breathing. You would think if a CHILD is having trouble breathing they would get him back sooner. I m sure most people there don t really have real emergencies but a child has to wait to be seen? Come on!!! Please get him back and give him the correct meds he needs and send him home! No need to have a 4 hour wait and then some!!

12/17/19 Dr Mark R Tasset, MD and the attending surgeons replaced my Aortic Valve and corrected the non-erupted ascending aortic aneurysm.
I choose the cow valve it should last 15 yrs if I behave myself. I was in the ICU only 3 nights, Friday I had gotten a new piece of jewelry (pacemaker) and sent home Saturday. Dr Michael Zawaneh, MD was my surgeon for this procedure, these two very talented doctors and all the experienced ICU Nurses at Banner University had me back at work within only 8 weeks. I feel amazing.
Banner University took care of this ole gal and we thank you all very much
The experienced staff made my journey a lot easier.

I just checked myself out of this place after gett...

I just checked myself out of this place after getting subpar care from the MDs. My nurses were both great but were clearly overworked. I was sent to this hospital by ambulance because the urgent care MD found an abscess on my tonsil and he wanted it removed. The hospital never uploaded the scans done at the urgent care center and the MDs never even opened the paperwork that was sent over - I had to tell him where it was. He went to look at the scans after telling the first MD to hold off on draining the abscess. That was at 11:30am. By 5:00pm no one else had been back in and my IV was no longer hooked up to any medicine. The nurse had no idea what was going on because no one would tell her anything. Horrible experience and I m still in an inexplicable amount of pain but I can sit in bed alone and watch Harry Potter at home. Will literally avoid this hospital at all cost going forward.

I love this place. The doctors and nurses are the best. I've had 5 babies at this hospital. I've had a few surgeries and just been here because I was sick. When anyone I know asks me what hospital I recommend its Banner Good Samaritan.

My experience with Southwest Oncology couldn't have been better. I ask many, many questions about my medical treatments and patiently answered them all, never talked down to me, always treated me as a partner on the journey.

Very happy with this hospital. THE emergency room wait time was minimal. I found all the Staff to be knowledgeable, kind and respectful. I received good quality care for my medical condition. The doctors were very thorough and I felt great when I left my four day stay.
This is my go to hospital when I am in need.

I cannot say enough wonderful things about this hospital spent 6 days here(6/25 to 6/30) for surgery and infection treatment! The care I received from the staff on 6D and 7D was outstanding! Each and every staff member from the residents (Dr. Bean, Fuchs and Porter) and Dr. Holland was top notch! All the nurses on both floors were phenomenal and I should know being a licensed medical professional myself! I will never go anywhere else if I need to be hospitalized! I will never be able to thank them enough for all they did for me while I was there! Exceptional care by truly exceptional staff!

So i had my baby there. We had some complications. We were there from Friday morning, had out baby Sunday around noon, discharged Tuesday.

I have nothing but good things to say about the maternity dept. They were professional and very attentive. They always did what they could to administer care in a way that we where comfortable. Contantly explaining things and making us feel like we are in charge instead of just in for the ride.

The hospital cafeteria downstairs is good. Much better than the cafeteria.

Our first choice for birthplace is a birthing center, but that wasnt an option for us. I am so happy we came here.

It is a teaching hospital. So there are students around. You can request no student nurses be there.

Great medical attention, Dyer Breast center is very thorugh and done with care results are quick and thoughtful. At Banner University Medical center you can also get MRI & CAT scan's, ex-rays,biopsies. Appointments are necessary. Handicapped parking and entrance available. Also a very helpful information desk. Outpatient cancer treatment and surgery are available in same day care with plastic surgery if needed.

Unfortunately, the right hand doesn't know what the left hand is doing. I live in Cave Creek and received a letter today saying that I had CHOSEN the Tucson Campus as my facility and indicating that I have an appointment today. Tucson is 4 hours away and the procedure was done in January at the Phoenix location after 3 different scheduling problems.
When I called Tucson to find out why my records ended up there, I just got a recording that says no one is there to take my call. I tried 8 times at different times of day and got the same message.
I tried calling the Phoenix location where the procedure was done and the person I talked to was rude and cons=descending and told me to just keep trying Tucson. She would not transfer me to Admin or Records and basically told me to keep trying Tucson , no matter how long it takes.

I have had nothing but scheduling problems, no return phone calls and doctors that act like I am bothering them. I thought that Honor Health was bad, but I am going back to them. At least they can get my records and facility right.

Dr Payne the stroke neurologist, Amy the speech therapist, and the nurses from 6b who are beautiful inside and out were wonderful. Dr Lee-Iannotti's arrogant bedside manner and lack of communication skills made the efforts to help my dad very upsetting and stressful. The fact that my dad waited for 3 days for his mri under her care was unacceptable (because she decided it was alcohol withdrawal when it in fact was a stroke ) and insulting to my father and I. Mixed feelings, although the nurse manager and patient advocate took my concerns very seriously, so that did help the overall outcome and feelings of our one week stay there.

Labor & delivery review

Labor & delivery review
Great nurses. They were awesome and treated me like royalty. They took very good care of my baby and I. Helpful and answered all my questions. The only down side was that I had a small shared room after I had my baby but I did only stay there for a couple days.

NICU review
A day after I had my baby, the doctors told me her jaundice level was too high and that she had to be taken into the NICU. The staff there was very nice. I stayed with my baby there every night until she was healthy. The nurses knew me and always supported me.
Overall, I had a great experience there.

I am sitting in the post partum pod as I write this. My wife and newborn son are asleep. My review does not derive from the feeling I am experiencing as a 2 time father. My review derives from the amazing efficiency and professionalism of this staff while bringing my son into this world, and the follow up afterward.
It actually blew me away how everything was handled. It's been a great experience watching how well coordinated and executed the staff are, and how gracefully they flow through sudden changes on the fly. They are so well trained, and put that training into practice, it is consistently, abundantly apparent in the whole of their work, and I am proud that I had the privilege of having this specific staff usher my son into our loving arms.

My dad was admitted here and due to COVID-19 no one was allowed in, no one! Not even my worried sick mother that witnessed his attack. Fine, we get it -no one is allowed in due to COVID-19 but do your part and keep us in the loop. My dad has been in this hospital for over 24hrs now and not ONE call has been given to my mother. Nothing. We are in the dark. The little information we have gotten has been from just frequently calling and talking to nurses. Luckily, we handed a nurse his cell phone and glasses to give to him and so he has his phone on him now. So we could at least get in contact w him sometimes. Poor cellphone service in the hospital. He complains he s uncomfortable and wasn t given anything to eat even hours after he was cleared to do so. My mom took him a home cooked meal and other things but last we checked, items had NOT been given to him. The no visitors due to COVID is understandable, but the lack of communication is unacceptable and frustrating. This is a very traumatizing for us since this is the first EVER my family has gone thru this. I confirmed my mom being listed as a point of contact and listed on file. Some nurses have been helpful on trying to give us some information but others have been far less than helpful and snippy.

I was sent to the maternity triage for fetal observation after my OB found an irregular heartbeat during my glucose test. I arrived around 330 pm and was not released until 10 pm after i requested several times to leave. They insisted i stay overnight to be seen by someone in the morning however felt my baby and i were in no danger. When i asked, after bring told we were both very healthy, why i had to stay overnight instead of just coming back in the morning to meet the dr who would be in i was laughed at and told "whelp, thats a really good question i cant answer." I was offered no food or water for 7 hours and left waiting with no answers. The next day, i arrived at the agreed upon time, again, i waited. I arrived at 730 am and waited until 1 pm for an echo. During this time, again, no water or food offered to me. Two hours after the echo i was told the dr still wasnt in the building. After i cried from sitting with no answers for two days, being hungry, thirsty, uncomfortable and just very uncertain they eventually called the dr to have him remotely view the echo. 15 hours i waited total for them to tell me he has an irregular heartbeat that will probably just go away and to go back to my OB in a week. I felt so unnecessarily and overwhelmingly stressed and so unheard and so out of control my entire stay at this hospital.

I received very little care in the ER and Out-Patient Observation Unit. I was in the ER for 7hrs and received one visit from a nurse and 2 from the doctor, with no care given. In the Observation Unit the nurses discharged me against doctors orders. They lied on the records of treatment given and my health status upon discharge. I worked with patient relations and even corresponded with the CEO of Banner and they were no help, simply referring to the medical records which were false. I WOULD NEVER GO BACK TO THIS ER NO MATTER WHAT.

This hospital does not care about poor people. I wish there was a choice for no starts. Since I have been here I have received excellent care and the facilities are great. Thank God for insurance if I was homeless I would be thrown out like the trash they perceive you as. These future doctors are raised in an eviorment that is completely opposite of the path they take. It s disgusting. There is a reason this hospital changed its name. Because it shows no resemblance to the Good Samaritan. Shame on you Banner

They are horrible. Almost killed me twice with lack of care. When landed in ER after complications for my c section Refused to give me my medication i needed, racked up a grand in ambulatory service because of their stupid continuity of care bs that still didn't get me healthy. I had to go out of banner network to cure my pulmonary edema at a different hospital all together. Dr.s refuse patient autonomy , the lactation nurse was way too harsh on my child almost to the point I'd call abusivr slamming her head into my breast and it's been more than the time they state and still don't have my daughters birth certificate. DO NOT GO HERE THEY WILL KILL YOU WITH THEIR LACK OF EXPERTISE. I called twice to speak to a sup of my horrible experience with no call back.

Our suggestions are maybe some more training in the cafeteria. Other than that this is our local hospital and we love it here .. with covid-19 a lot of things have changed around there .

I have a lot of health conditions and being 29 Medicare and insurance was and is a huge stressor. This hospital tho treated me as if I was royalty reguardles, the doctors and staff where amazing (most of them), and they provided a solution to all of my medical problems , educated on how to prevent further problems, and even put me in contact with people to help insurance wise. Also the view from the new tower is amazing.

I will never be returning to a banner facility.
Extremely poor bedside manner, doctors nurses and staff members not wanting to listen to the patient regarding previous and current health issues. Fifth visit to the same Hospital every visit had issues. I strongly advise to never go here go to honorhealth Dignity Health or Mayo Clinic never go to Banner facilities anywhere. If I could I would put a zero-star review.

I must clear the air regarding my previous review,...

I must clear the air regarding my previous review, the saying " it takes one apple to spoil a whole bunch" is so true regarding the care for my husband. My previous review did not include negative towards anyone but the doctors. It slipped my mind that the staff is not at fault theyre just doing their job as requested from the doctors. The Observation Dept Staff go above and beyond to make sure all patients are taken care of properly. Once again i brought my husband for his liver, it was well past 2 i believe this morning and the nurse and staff were waiting ..and quickly did their magic to assure my husband was as comfortable as possible , the nurse was very detailed, offered her services for whatever Rick needed, as well as the rest of the staff, theyre truly care for whomever enters the department without judgement. The young Doctor, i do not remember his name, so informative, took time to answer all our questions and concerns, this is the kind of people i want assisting my husband on the road to recovery.
My complaint was with the Doctors, or my husbands primary doctor, lots of issues were brought up last visit was told certain tests were going to be completed which they were not. Rick was released on the 6th of this month and his follow up visit was not until the 16th of January, meanwhile , Rick had no relief last visit and was released, all test incomplete, hes swelling due to his liver, and could not take the pain anymore and the same day we had the follow up i ended up call the paramedics.
Long story short, People who have professions such as doctors forget were they came from and care only for the dollar. I will conduct my issues further with hospital admin..
But for all the staff in the observation department...hats off to you all..dont change a thing ..youre wonderful

I can t express how horrible the experience in icu is ! Making patients beg for ice chips and telling them to be quiet so you can get some sleep is an outrage ! Never will I ever recommend this hospital to any family friend or colleague ever again! You should really consider what kind of staff you hire because if they can t handle taking care of a patient and their needs this is not the job for them!

I had the worst experience ever at this hospital t...

I had the worst experience ever at this hospital the ER staff is very unprofessional and have no sympathy for the patients needs or concerns I went in not being able to breath and I asked a male nurse in the front if he knew what I can do as I felt like I had something stuck in my throat preventing me from breathing I felt like I was going to faint. The nurse answered with Were all trained here to perform CPR but that s for dead people are you dead after that he rudely stated there was a four hour wait without caring about me possibly fainting I felt extremely weak I was really scared and I am more than disappointed in the treatment I received. I was originally going to go to another hospital but I had an ex-colleague who works now for a Banner hospital and she s a sweetheart I thought that I would of received better treatment as I imagined that Banner hires good hearted people who care and show sympathy as it should be. I will never step foot again at a Banner hospital. I m literally only giving it one star because I can t give a zero. I will go ahead and see what I can do and get that Nurses name he needs to be retrained or get another job because it s scary to be in a life threatening position and on top of that be handled with no care or compassion. I hope this review helps those who are seeking ER care don t come here I don t recommend it at all.
