Our company has a business insurance and i have been dealing with Tumo Sehlabo and his manager Mandy what lousy services i have got from them. We have been claiming for a third party since our driver bumped somebody's and for us to get feedback from the claims consultant it has been a mission impossible as he doesnt answer his emails and you have to call him to get the feedback. Even the manager we called last week and she promised that we will get the feedback till today i took the liberty to call to get the feedback that the claim has not been successful!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I am shocked out of my shoes. I had an accident on 25 July, my car was towed away by an approved tow car. It is now the 17 September and I do not have my car back. All attempts at contacting the panel beaters have been blocked. The car hire was extended and NOW I am paying for it myself with no idea when my car will be ready. No phone calls etc. I specifically asked for my car not to be sent to Jocks as I had a bad experience with them before. I did not think they could get worse, but they have, I do not have the monies to pay for mow own car hire and yet I still have one as they will not give me a courtesy car even though they have made a lot of money out of me. This is just not acceptable and actually disastrous to say the least. I am livid and will take this matter further.
I could never suggest Auto & General to anyone due to this shoddy experience which will cause me not to go away in December because of the hire costs. My calls are ignored, they are ignoring my broker and in the meantime I m paying Eurocar for the hire car. I have always been insured but will be looking at other insurance policies after this. I would beg people shopping around for insurance not to use them. They are terrible, especially Jocks Panel beaters.
I am still in disbelief that they have not been in touch with me only to tell me my car hire has run out. This is not my fault and they should have provided me with a courtesy car in the meantime,
Dream sellers and dishonest. Debited my account two weeks before the day I permitted. When I asked for a callback they told me they'll call as soon as there's availability, but when you want a quote they have all the time in the world. This just means our claims will never be attended to, with this kind of service?
I called in to have my policy reviewed. The call cut and the consultant called me back straight away. The services was excellent. Very efficient. Within a few minutes my policy was updated, email confirmation received.
I was then forwarded to the claims department who was just as great. Put in my claim over the phone and a few hours later got an sms and email to say I would be refunded in 2 days.
The insurance is not as good and prompt as they advertise on Media, they are misleading us.I reported an accident and took my car for assessment a week ago, I have not received any communication ever since.
I decide to call today and the agent told me the reason for the hold up on my insurance is that I should have said I had insurance the previous 4 years before I signed with them. How is that relevant to claim? Did I have to call to get feedback?. He further advised that my administration will take another 4 days to get sorted admin sorted, so already 2 weeks just to process the claim
They are now trying to find an escape to cover the claim, so dodgy and so unprofessional. I would not advise anyone to take this insurance
Before the lockdown started in South Africa, I insured two vehicles with Auto & General Insurance. I was then informed to take both vehicles for inspection. Soon thereafter the lockdown began and every place of business was closed down and I had not yet taken the vehicles for inspection.
When the lockdown was eased, I visited Glasfit to have the vehicles inspected, but was told that they are not doing any inspections, they will do inspections only when we down to Alert level 1 of lockdown.
I would like to then find out will this be an issue or inconvenience for me in anyway in an event when I would need to claim? What should I do now? Wait for level one?
I have been trying to contact Auto & General via call, email, facebook but I'm getting no response. Please can someone assist me!?
My experience with you guys was good until my premium goes from R650 to around R900 without informing me ( these occured for the last two months ), I was/still waiting for someone to contact me and explain the cause as this was not part of the agreement we had. Bare in mind, I'm with this insurance for years and last year around June/July a got and offer from other insurance copany to beat them but i declined that due to my loyalty and the reg fees

Worst service experience... After so many premiums they were deducting from my account. Had a car accident in 2016 till now I received no claims from this company, they didn't pay the panel shop where my car was fixed. I had to pay R18 000 out of my pocket, even worst they asked me for an excess of R6000 which I payed hoping my car will be fixed at their expense.... Afterwards I was told the company was liquidated... So now I am not sure if the company still exist... And I am still waiting for their responses because since then I got emails stating they are working on fixing their issues and will payback the customers/clients... I will not e recommend this company to anyone
Thanx for your assistance 5 years ago when l had an accident but please tell the customers that they must give permission to you guys to fix the other person's car when you drove into it. But thanx anyway, l'm realy chuffed with Auto & General
Autogen support fraud as i dont have any account with then and i have been explaining to them via email, calls that i never open account with them but still they busy debiting from account since January .... So now im very fed up and im tired as no one is helping
The claim process was rather smooth for me, the car substitution department experience is not so smooth, i understand finding a car might be difficult but at least keep me in the loop, so i can make other arrangements especially in a rainy season like this having no car is no fun. Sent mails, i called them but no one seems to care really
They open at 08h00 I entered the building at 08h20 and there was nobody there to provide a service. The security guard had to get someone from an office elsewhere in the building to see us?
Absolutely disgusting service. We were handed through five different people from the company (all different locations) and all of them quoted different information regarding our insurance claim. It is absolutely embarrassing for trusted brands like Allianz and ING to have their policies underwritten by this company. If you re ever looking for travel insurance, do not go with these brands as they are underwritten by this terrible company.
Most of the reviews here are about the nice building...I'm really looking to see what kind of service they give...but from what I read A&G are like a Barbie dolly, nice on the outside, nothing on the inside...with expensive upkeep!!
Had an accident 3 months ago, claim still not finalised and I still do not have my car. Horrible communication from everyone (so many people involved from A&G) involved in processig our claim. We had to phone the whoe time trying to find out what was going on. They do not care how their service provider (Panelbeaters) treats their customers (us). Just pulls up shoulders and say it is between us and panelbeaters. I have been at a few insurance companies, and they are by far the worse.
Called for quote on friday. Called to validate quote monday that was emailed to me guy says no quote done Very annoying, especially when eating cell phone rates. Is this the kind of service expected?????? Very scary stuff
A bunch of crooks, liers, you Don't fix the vehicle correctly the first time, you choose to repair what you WANT, and lie to the client that the other damages were there before the accident. Do not lie to people. Stay away from them else the day you will get involved in an accident and get your car from the panel beater, YOU WILL REGRET

This review is based on getting a quotation from them. All I wanted is to get a quote from them, the agent that called me was so rude it actually disgusts me. I refused to provide my bank details because all I wanted is to get a quote and what services and benefits they provide. Obviously I would want to compare other insurance companies and then choose the best option for myself. However, he was literally forcing me to provide my bank details and even told me to log into my banking app and (in his own words) said "get this over and done with". I did not even have a chance to say goodbye and ended the call. Just purely on this encounter I would not sign up with them. If this is the service and attitude they provide I would look else where.
Worst customer service and they will not pay claims or assist. Dealt with Robyn Martin who was of no help. I wont support a company that does not care about its clients.
You call them and go through the directory and wait until jesus comes back for a consultant but funny enough they promise a 2 minute waiting period.. eventually when u get through there are piles of questions waiting for you..your airtime runs out and they dont bother calling you back...and so i wonder what treatment ill get when lodging a claim???
This Insurance company is the biggest fraudsters in South Africa, they twist the stories around and find every excuse not to payout a claim, The rob customers to enrich themselves.Its been 8 months and still waiting for your call
Amazing build and a truly unique experience, I don t think anyone else in jhb has it this right, in terms of making everyone feel special and welcome so thank you! The facilities are amazing, cleanliness is unprecedented reception check in procedure a dream! But above all else the friendly and helpful staff from cleaners to managers to just people walking around in general was something to behold... a really nice place to visit!
