I think it was absolutely wonderful! The hot tub was really crowded during the sunset and one of the pools was closed due to refurbishment. All the rooms we stayed in were wonderful. I LOVE disney so I never wanted to leave lol. The robes are to die for! They have scavenger hunts for the kids which are really fun (i completed all 3).
There was so much to do that I didn't get to check put the spa at all but I would love to in the future!!!!!
The only downside was I lacked the magic that you normally associate with disney when it comes to special events. We went for our 5 year anniversary and normally disney does wonderful for special events like this but it was just kinda normal. I did get our buttons at check in on the 2nd reservation (had to do 4 separate reservations due to booking only a month in advance.)

This place has it all for every age. Adult pools to kiddie play areas, beach access, water slides, customer service was outstanding, and you get to see the characters we all grew up with. Very well rounded resort with much to offer every age.

being a DVC member this is our home resort. i typically turn away from time shares, especially wyndham, but a Disney time share i couldn't resist....!

we spent 11 nights here on the 1st floor room #178 in front of the Lazy River next to Aunties Beach house. the room was exceptionally well kept and clean. all fixtures were in good condition and with lots of disney hints, e.g. mickey lamp, mickey pillow case covers, mickey towels, etc just to name a few. be very clean and tidy in your room cause house keeping only cums around every 4 days.

food is quite pricey compared to if you were to walk across the street and hit up the ABC store or surrounding restaurants next to it. another option would be to drive 14mins to the neighboring city Kapolei, where there's McDonald's, Burger King, KOA Pancakes, Kippy's, and Julie'z just to name a few.

the pools are phenomenal, ranging from a lazy river, a couple of slides, jacuzzi's, kids water park, and various pools for all ages.

Currently staying here. It is the off season so the are renovating.. constant sounds of jack hammers and a large part of the resort is closed during the day. They offered a $50 per day (excluding check out day) room credit but charge $37 perday to park. The restaurant's are over the top expensive but the mai tais are strong to make you forget that you just spent your life savings to be here. There is only one open water slide which has a really long wait by noon. the stairs reek of urine so dont go bare foot. We spoke to staff about this and were told that kids just get excited and pee in line. Other than that no accommodations were made for this disgusting aspect.I would not recommend unless you are specifically interested in the disney aspect.

Great resort thought they would slap Disney logos everywhere but is a genuine Hawaiian resort barely any sign of Disney except for the occasional characters here and there the buffet is good all the food is great the pools where fantastic and a lazy river which is just exceptional.

Such an amazing hotel with great views. Multiple pools through out the property. Very helpful hotel staff. Great views. Biggest issue is merchandise. You never know when the merchandise is going to come back in stock.

It has nice plans for all ages all day long, the sevice and cast members are very friendly, and it is very private with great views. It is a bit pricey but in the long run it's better to pay a bit more to have a better experience and in turn memories!!

40 for parking, comped but only with purchases of 40 at the gift shop or SIT down restaurants, pool side food does NOT count. Pools are super, beach sand sucks, and everything is Disney pricing.

Disney has done an amazing job keeping the aloha spirit alive and present here. Not too Disneyfied, but just enough. The rooms and decor are wonderful representations of the islands. Restaurants offer local specialties as well as main land entrees. The beach is superb. Pools and lazy river are a plus.

Not on the scale of other Disney hotels but a gorgeous property. Pools are safe and well staffed with attentive life guards for the little kids. There is a single adult pool and hot tub but the adults only pool is in the back with ZERO view of the lagoon. The adult hot tub has a gorgeous view of the lagoon but is right next to the kids pool so not as quiet as would be relaxing. The (man made) lagoon is my favorite part of the resort, there must be so type of netting to keep fish out and even shells. You can walk out fairly far (I don't swim well) but if you want to go out to the breakers you need to be a strong swimmer. The paddle boards rent for $39/hr, but this is Disney so everything is expensive. Unfortunately not all parents pay attention, or care, to the over 18 only and the Disney staff doesn't monitor these situations close enough so the burden is on the guests to complain - unacceptable on Disney's behalf given the cost of a visit to this property. There are water stations throughout the property to keep you hydrated (for free), so I consider the $18 mugs for unlimited soda refills unhealthy and unnecessary. Bring your RTIC insulated tumbler and keep hydrated. It's a gorgeous property, the staff all meet or exceed your expectations for service or assistance of any kind. It's an expensive yet wonderful experience. You can save a ton of money by walking across the street to the ABC Market where they cook fresh food to order and daily packaged meals kept warm in heaters - delicious and healthy food I strongly recommend to save money for other activities.

Spectacular place. They took care of every detail. In style and with the Disney seal.
The beach is like a lagoon, so the water is very very calm.
At the hotel there are several pools for children, and they also have an "endless" pool for adults. They have a river-type pool, where you can enter with some lifeguards and enjoy the floating tour. They also have a reef created by them, where you can see a great variety and color of fish.
The food in the restaurants is very good. And they have many activities for both kids and teens and adults. They also have a grill !!

Our stay at Aulani was very disappointing because being a Disney hotel we thought it would offer the Disney experience, but quite the opposite. It is a very expensive resort which includes absolutely nothing but your room and the use of the facilities. As it is a time of pandemic, they open what suits them and here comes the reason. It is supposed to be an exclusive hotel because the night costs approximately $ 16 thousand Mexican pesos and we were very angry to know that they let in the external public that was not staying inside the hotel for the use of the pools, so the pool area looked like a spa Quite a noisy and unpleasant public where the quota of the people was not respected, much less the policies of healthy distance, the health authorities of the state of Hawaii should see what happens in this hotel. The restaurants are closed and from which you can eat inside there are lines of 2 hours of waiting so everything is to take away and eat in the hotel's planters or in your room. The room doesn't have any Disney decor, just a Mickey Mouse lamp and that's it. All the activities are published in an App which we as foreigners cannot download even using VPN so you cannot find out anything else what is published on 2 screens that are in the hotel there is a terrible digital service since they receive tourism international and that cannot happen. The breakfasts and lunches with the characters are suspended due to the pandemic, only taking photos with the characters are available, and the only activity that was to make a headband with Mickey ears had a waiting list until the afternoon of the next day. Of the 3 souvenir shops only 1 is open. So if you are curious to go, you can visit without having to stay, we had to see that there are no equity filters and everyone could pass. Don't waste your money and see better options in waikiki. I do not know yet why the Disney chain is offering this type of scam product which does not offer the beautiful experience of what really is the wonderful concept of Disney that we all like, I am a Disney fan that is why I went to spend my birthday but it was a real disappointment to come across this kind of thing. The attention of the staff is extremely friendly and attentive, it hurts that the hotel does not offer what one expects.

The ocean views were spectacular! All the pools were great and warm. I had trouble getting into jacuzzies, no steps to walk down. I'm not limber enough to crawl in and out. The resort treated us to free rum drinks by the Infiniti pool. Great service!

Great for the entire family, located in ko olina where you can find delicious food, nice boutiques and the best Disney characters! Always a pleasure to come back for the best family memories.

Got kids? Love Theming? this resort is for you. Beautiful resort, Disney really did a great job once again in paying attention to detail. The lagoon is kid friendly, plenty of pools, including adult only pools. I highly recommend you take your love ones to lagoon for professional sunset photo session.

We stayed at Aulani for two days and one night. Overall the experience has been excellent! Upon arrival, staff was super friendly and our room was upgraded to an ocean view.
The Room:
The deluxe studio room itself was decent, and roomy enough for 4 people (any more than that and it would get pretty cramped). It came with a fridge and microwave which were very useful. The balcony was great, and I highly recommend the ocean view if you can get that.
The Food:
We had lunch at the bar called Off the Hook, and it was mediocre. I had the Angus burger with cheese and avocado. The other members in my party had the pizza and fries, and they were no more notable than mine. For dinner we ate at Ama' Ama. The service at this restaurant was pretty good, no real complaints. The food and drinks were also decent, but it is obvious that your money is going towards the view and live music. I had the catch of the day, which was very tender but personally felt that lacked flavor.
Everything else:
The pools here are pretty awesome. There is a small adult only pool which I didn't use and a couple other infinity whirlpools which were fantastic. The lazy river is nice, but crowded. The beach is gorgeous. There are also events such as luaus and character meetings which make the experience awesome and feel like you're getting your money's worth.

Overall, Aulani is an amazing experience. The views, events, and service are top notch. The only area where I think Disney needs to work on is with the food.

Walk in to the greeting, "Aloha and Welcome Home!". Aulani is truly our home away from home despite living on O'ahu. As a DVC family, Aulani is our home resort and our stay is never less than stellar. The views are somehow more magical in the resort than from our home windows, the food tastier and the time moves slower.

We enjoy floating in the lazy pool, makahiki breakfast and specialty snacks like a Mickey Mouse Shave Ice. Resort merchandise is always pricey but the sales always include amazing steals, too. There will occasionally be pop-up sales that even include Alex & Ani charm bracelets at a real deal. When staying at the resort, we get a 2 bedroom villa which is fully equipped with a kitchen, jet stream tub and rainfall shower head. Groceries (meals generally) at the resort are pricey so if looking to save a bit and able, purchase food outside of the resort and cook in. DVC members get the extra perks of free parking and discount merchandise.

If local and looking for a casual yet Disney experience, Makahiki is top choice and a guarantee of pictures with characters; it has become our hop-over to celebrate family birthdays. A disc of all pictures from brunch runs $35 but in my opinion, always worth it.

Tip: On the way out, at checkout you can request a day pass to finish out the day at the resort even after you leave the room and still get access to the showers to leave feeling fresh!

There are a lot of daily activities and children were delighted. Especially at night, Disney watching the movie on the grass with Goza is the best. The restaurant in Aulani is also delicious and very satisfying. Photos taken with Duffy & Sherry Mae, Chips and Dale are treasures. I will stay again.

Took family n grandparents here. Been to disney cruise twice before. Here is similar with less-no shows, the luau is $130-180/person and includes a mediocre dinner with boring 2 hour show. Less activities, food overall is mediocre at best and overpriced.
Kids enjoyed the pool a lot.
Cruise a better option.

Amazingly beautiful and relaxing.

Amazingly beautiful and relaxing.
Easy to find. Close to stores for major and quick grocery. Just Taco's, across the street, is a great Mexican restaurant.

Just stayed a week here and it was absolutely wonderful. The staff go above and beyond to accommodate anything you want/need. We loved every day we spent here. We needed towels and within 15 minutes we had not only our towels, but full housekeeping done. Our cable wasn't working well, and again, within 15 minutes the issue was resolved. I highly recommend Aunties Beach House for the kiddos, wonderful staff and I love how protective they are over the kids in their care. Definitely cannot wait to come back.

Jennifer at the front desk is awesome. So helpful. Haunani at the makahiki is the best. Best service. And Daniel at the pool has to have the best customer service. The cast here is the best. Can not beat!

Met a very rude staff lady by adults only pool. Thanks, i ll be going to the marriott instead next time. This area is an obvious tourist trap. Everything is overpriced as soon as you enter Ko olina. It s really not worth the price you pay for a hotel. Overpriced, rude staff, disgusting lagoon, very crowded. Staying anywhere else is a lot better for the price. While swimming at the beach in front of the hotel (lagoon 1), i noticed how murky the water was. Probably from all the sunscreen and kid piss. I only ended up seeing fish by the wall that lets in water from the ocean. I saw a lot more fish in lagoon 2 and the water was way clearer and had a lot less people.

The worst cocktails that I've ever tried. Mai Tai was terrible. Super watering and the Cadillac Margarita was super bitter. I couldn't drink. The bartender didn't want it to change or fix it. He wasn't friendly at all. Each drink cost $ 15 plus tax.

Absolutely wonderful resort! We first visited during the Thanksgiving holiday several sears ago, and we loved it so much we chose to buy in to the Disney Vacation Club here so we can start coming every year. Everyone here is super friendly and helpful, and the pools and resort grounds are beautiful. The only real issue I have is the cost, but being Disney AND Hawaii, I knew this trip would cost more than a normal vacation and budgeted accordingly. Another way around the cost was what we did this trip - get a 1 bedroom suite with a full kitchen. A quick trip to the Target and/or Costco one exit back on H1/highway 93, several bags of groceries and snacks, and we're set for the week. The savings on being able to eat in our room more than made up for the inconvenience...

Beautiful resort, we really enjoyed our stay here ...

Beautiful resort, we really enjoyed our stay here during they Fourth of July, 2018. Rooms were very nice and clean. Service was excellent and the amenities were great. The fire works show was excellent and the lagoon was nice and calm, but not real clear for snorkeling when we were there.
My biggest issue was the lack of reasonable sit down dinning options. The food and drink prices are super expensive for the quality of food and size of the drinks. Everything is priced high unless you want to get food on the go at Ulu Cafe "self serve" or the Island Country Market in the Ko Olina Market Plaza across the street. I dont mind paying for good dinners, which there are a few good restaurants in the area. But I prefer reasonable options for breakfast and lunch.
I wish all the pools weren't so shallow. The pools are all shallow, 3' is a common depth through out the pools with the edgeless pool being the deepest at 4 1/2'. This place is great for family's with small kids, say 3 to 9 years old. But for older kids, they get board with the pools in a couple days. My kids are 12 and 14. I do commend Disney for having lifeguards every where. I was told by one of them they rotate through each pool side position every 45 minutes, let's you relax and enjoy vacation a little easier.
Overall I liked the place and if I had small kids I would consider staying here again even though the cost of the resort and food are expensive!
