That is my 2nd time came here as for 7 days and I love it so much! No where else is better than this hotel. It's a must to visit and use this hotel. The pool and spa with view of beach is amazing no where better than this.. it look like a dream place but in reality I am here seeing these! I wish I can give more than 5 stars for this!
Wednesday nights at the Olelo Bar are the best; the live entertainment is fantastic!

This is the 5th year I have visited Aulani and it will be my last. The resort is still well maintained but value for money is certainly not there. Prices for everything across the board have seemed to increase whilst services and options of items and activities have stayed the same or regressed. Quality of staff service is also very hit and miss. There are certainly many other options on the island that provide better bang for your buck.
Been at aulani for 2 of 8 days so far. It's beautiful and they help you to feel very welcome. Fully meeting my expectations of Disney.
If you have a chance to bring your family/kids here, whether with DVC or regular room rental... do it. Awesome facility and the Disney service we've become accustomed to. Already planning our next trip. 10* if I could!!
Never disappointed vacation. In an oceanview 2-bedroom, enjoy every single moment. Need a car to access this place if you plan to do self tour in Oahu. Close to dole planation, pearl labour and north shore. About 45 mins from Waikiki if no traffic. Aulani in the this area is outstanding. If I had to make a complaint, the only thing I would say is food. No wow factor and average quality. We could make breakfast and a few dinner in the room as we have a full kitchen to accommodate.
Beautiful, pleasant, if you like polynesia/Hawaii and Disney this is a great place to go. Food is expensive but usually plentiful. Multiple swimming pools, hot tubs, 2 water slides, an adult pool and hot tub.
Very nice lazy river ride. Fun for all ages check in chaotic and poorly organized. Rooms small. Character breakfast fun for everyone and pictures with Mickey Pluto and Goofy. Pool food great. Except for poor check in and small rooms a great place for families
Went for the character breakfast which was great. Then went down to the beach. The beach is really nice. The resort is Disney quality all the way.
Expensive place but I've always enjoyed the experience and the staff are awesome. Worth the extra money. I recommend this place to all my friends/family.
Went on vacation with two kids: a 5-year old and a 1-year old. Cast members are all very helpful and will go above and beyond to assist. Both kids enjoyed all of the water offerings. Restaurants had good food for kids as well as a good selection of tasty adult drinks at a decent value. A++, will vacation again.
As it is a hotel for members, I think that it is quite expensive when staying normally.
However, as Disney operates, it has good service and security. It is recommended because you can see characters and have many activities.

Anyway, the atmosphere is calmer than Japanese Disney Resort. It was fun to see all the characters! As for greed, the water pressure in the shower is low, and there is no washlet in the bathroom, so I hope it will be improved.

I would love to give aulani a higher rating but it's honestly hard to justify the cost. Even when you find a good deal, it's still at least $100 if not more than other hotels. The thing you come here for is there Disney touches and the Disney experience.
The customer service is amazing like you would expect at any Disney property. The food is almost outrageously priced with the cheapest meal being a kids PB&J for $9. If you go I would suggest packing some food. The rooms do provide a mini fridge so we brought lunchables for the kids and other snack foods then left the property for dinner.
Parking is also expensive $37/day for either self park or valet. And to be honest, if you want to do anything on the island besides the aulani pools, you need a car. Aulani is very far from other attractions that you should see when you come to Hawaii. It will take you between 45 minutes and 2 hours to get to downtown Honolulu depending on traffic.
The pools are amazing! We came for a staycation just to play in the pools. They will be closing a few pools in the fall for renovations which are needed for some. For example, one of the kids favorite pools was the bridge which has a couple small slides and water features like waterfalls. They used to have water cannons but they weren't working when we stayed and were roped off.
The pool chair situation is problematic. If you don't get a chair in the morning it can be hard to find one. They will come fold up and then place your towel over the back of your chair regularly. If they come back in an hour and it's still like that (showing that you haven't been using the chair) your belonging will be collected and stored at the towel area to free up the chair. This policy is posted all over but I still saw a couple that thought their belongings had been stolen.
It was a great splurge staycation at a property I'd been hoping to stay at but it's honestly just so expensive.

Aloha! Had the most delightful experience staying at the Aulani. The location is excellent, it's outside of the hustle and bustle of the city, but minutes away from Honolulu. The resort is located right on the beach and feels very private and secluded, love not having to deal with the public beachside in the city. Paradise Cove luau being located very near is a plus, it's the best one we have seen. The amenities in the room were awesome. Felt right at home right away. Mahalo.
My wife and I love Disney and Hawaii so we went to Hawaii for a 2 day 1 night fling with the compliments of my son who flipped the bill for the airline tickets. My wife wanted to see the resort because maybe some day we can stay there but since we were there why not eat there. The restaurant was great, atmosphere, food, you name it, it was great.
It was an awesome little get away for my 50th birthday. Can't wait to come back to actually stay at the resort.
I feel bad for people who come and spend a week here and never see the breathless beauty of Oahu.
Beautiful resort. The lighting on the balcony overlooking the pool (right outside the souvenir shop) is poor. There is a small step that I tripped over. To avoid sustaining an injury, I had to step into the water feature. The gentleman that we informed of the incidence said that it has happened several times. It is a known issue and they have yet to address the safety concern.
Relaxing and beautiful. Fun for all ages. Food is pricey. Eat across street at ABC store or Hawaiian BBQ. Rainbow Reef snorkeling is a must do and a good value. Loved the firepit story telling.
Villa is amazing, hotel is excellent as well, not as Disney as I thought it would be but kids still loved it, food is expensive!
Rooms here not what I expected. Although nicely presented, the shower had loose/failing caulking, and hard water staining everywhere. Dishwasher was "scary loud". Very functional, but not very high end appliances. TV was again functional, but programming had annoying delays/skips on all channels throughout entire stay. WiFi was so slow, you had to turn it off your phone otherwise your phone became non-functional.
Everything else about the resort made up for it though. Restaurants and Luau experience were perfect. Pools and Beach experience so great.
Beautiful Resort calm and inviting atmosphere. Wonderful live music every night and plenty of things to do at the resort. Dining options are expensive.

Disney never does anything cheap! This place is fantastic. Wonderful pools, restaurants, character breakfast,... Take you pick it's all good and fun for the whole family!
Aulani Disney is a magical place. Set right on the edge of the Pacific ocean. What's not to love. Ko'Olina has quaint shopping just across the street and an amazing golf course. It is a bit of a drive from Waikiki approx 1 hr depending on traffic. 30 min to the airport. If you do not have a rental car a taxi will run you $89 & up into Wakiki and $55 & up to the airport. I recommend Charley's Taxi. They are very professional and have flat rates. They have been around since the 30's. So yea their reputation is very good. Waianae up the west coast has the most beautiful beaches. I would venture that direction at least once on your vacation. Disney has everything so it's really tough to leave. But if you have never been to Oahu you should take one day to drive around the island to see the famous North Shore and the sea turtles and the breathtaking mountain range down the east coast into Kailua.

We stayed in a lobby floor room..1 room studio for Disney vacation Club member. The room was clean, well stocked and everything in working condition. The only drawback being on the lobby floor is the high amount of foot traffic leading to your room.

Aunty's room for childcare is great. The beach was great. The endless pool with lifeguards and slides were ok. The food was not good. Typical fried rice and hot dogs and and bland prime rib. Not place but expensive.
Best vacation ever! Clean, safe, for the whole family . Great Hawaiian and fairy atmosphere. Nice and good service, lots of fun for kids at each age. We would willingly go there again.
A good getaway for families with small children. Stayed for 5 days. Opted for the Garden Villa, a 1 bedroom kitchenette. It worked well for us.With 2 kids it was perfectly sized.
The pros:
- Life-guards everywhere, attentive and aware.
- Safe and secure, Disney knows how important that is to guests.
- Not too expensive. One of the cheaper places on the island.
- enough activities to occupy you and your family without needing to leave the resort.
The Cons:
- Even though the resort is barely seven years old it's in need of some renovation. Rooms are showing wear, kitchen appliances and cookware poor quality. TVs glitchy and unresponsive.
- Disney is aggressively pushing the timeshare side. I'm still not sure whether there's good value in it.
The food is remarkablely mediocre and over priced.
While the 'water-park' isn't the biggest or best out there. It's for guests only, which means it's not too crowded. It's well maintained and big enough to be fun.
Been to Hawaii many times...never experienced a stay like this. Hotel is amazing. Super clean with over the top friendly staff. The hotel grounds and decor are flawless. So much detail. The beach is is excellent and the pools are top notch. So many things to do if coming with kids. The hotel luau was by far the best I have seen. Disney magic coupled with Hawaiian culture was a homerun! This was the best experience we have had in Hawaii. If I had one complaint, it would be the lack of chairs near the pools. Make sure to get to the pool early and grab some chairs.

You honestly don't have to leave the hotel. The beach, pool, and aunties beach house are amazing.
The resort it itself was all you can imagine, kids paradise qith amazing views. I was surprised with how stiff the beds were for $600 a night average cost.
Not worth all the hype as there are other places in Oahu that are more picturesque. The character breakfast was great, but the giftshop didn't have the type of merchandise that is Hawaiian related, all this Halloween stuff was up, which didn't make sense for end of August.

Very nice property, nice rooms, and overall clean. Ive travelled quite a lot and i dont think the disney experience is worth the extra price tag. The beds are old and uncomfortable for such an expensive room. The food and drinks are highly overpriced. My advice is to stay at the Marriott and come to the disney property during the day if you want to float the lazy river. Wont be staying here again

I ate a dinner buffet at the Makahiki. The experience, service, and food were top notch. As long as you make a reservation beforehand, you will have a wonderful time; this is a high demand restaurant within Aulani so you should plan accordingly. Overall, this is a must visit restaurant if you're staying at the resort or want to have that Disneyland dining table in Hawaii.

From the moment we got near the resort we felt that little by little we were being transported into a Hawaiian magical paradise, we arrived and we felt welcome, we felt special, they gave us the drinks and the lei on you , front desk was friendly, knowledgeable, attentive and with the DISNEY touch , we had the two bedroom villa with ocean view and everything was awesome, lots of space , clean , up to date , my only complaint was that the enthernet was super , super , slow it was like having no enthernet which caused me to go over my data , the views were breathtaking as we could see the ocean , the pools and the mountains all at the same time . You walk the lobbies and they play The Hawaiian music and you feel in heaven, and so much Hawaiian details , the pools , the lazy river, the slides , the hot tubs all were perfect, the restaurant Ama Ama food and views were perfect and the Makahiki restaurant Food was super and the characters come out to make you happier! My only other issue besides the WiFi is that the gym basically is full of treadmills hardly any weights especially in for legs , shops were awesome, needless to say we will be back
It is always a pleasure staying at Aulani! Staff is always willing to go the extra mile to ensure that your stay is the most pleasurable. Booked a mountain view room to save money and they gave us a partial ocean view which we felt was a added bonus. Will be sure to stay again in the near future. Because the kids grow up so fast! The picture is the pool which I looked at from the room. It can be enjoyed only in the hotel. I do not like Disney, but I can enjoy the structure of the hotel, the pool and the sea. I thought that this hotel would be wonderful when people who did not care about Disney stayed. Hawaii is a great hotel for those who want to spend time in the hotel, as it is a place away from the famous Ala Moana and downtown Honolulu areas.
This is my family's favorite place to stay on vacation. It is just amazing. We have stayed here 10 times and love it each time. Absolutely beautiful.

Water play at a hotel resort! Beautiful place to stay, friendly staff. Would have liked housekeeping twice a day at this price level, and more generosity with bath towels. An hour from airport. Standard room is small, bed is comfortable. Would have liked a comforter.
Hospitable, modern and awesome amenities, private lagoon, multiple pools... A great resort, with Disney flair.
Stayed in the villas. Was great. Ate some on site, brought food in from off site for most. Had a family vacation with 15.
Well worth the cost. Wonderful cast members, always helpful and friendly. Restaurants were good, with resort prices of course. Finest room I have stayed in throughout all my travels, beautiful wood work, two room bath was spacious. Excellent housekeeping. Helpful concierges. Tour desk in the lobby. Double balcony a good place to watch the sunrise over the ridge. Fast elevators. Departure day for late flights out are handled well, with full run of the resort allowed to final departure for the airport, Very much appreciated by our party.
Smooth check in and check out, flawless valet parking, Plenty of activities for children and to my mind, adults. Nice beach area. Plentiful seating by the pools and excellent bar service.
Shopping, with retail, an ABC store and good restaurants right across the boulevard, with ice cream and coffee, a great shopping center to visit. Worth a return visit.
We took my 4 year old son to the Disney Character breakfast. The food was good and he enjoyed interacting with the characters. There were only 4 characters available, but everyone was friendly and willing to pose for photos.
