This resort is incredible. We went for a wedding this past wknd and wished we had booked the whole week. Customer service was incredible. Nicole, the wedding planner, was phenomenal. Truly blown away by the grounds and service provided. Will definitely be back!

I think this pretty much sums up my recent trip to Aulani.

Dear Disney,
This email is to inform you that I am disappointed with our recent trip to Aulani. There was a hurricane threat and there was a need, understandably, to close many of the amenities including: pools, characters, childcare, and maid service. However, it is unfair that the cost of the hurricane be borne by the guests entirely. You should not charge the full amount if you do not have any of the amenities available. The service, after all, is the whole reason people go to the hotel. I pointed this out to the front desk staff, including Dayna. She made me wait a long time while she went to talk to the manager and then got back on the computer typing away, did not may eye contact, and rudely said, that no accommodations would be made and that if we did not like it we could leave . We finally had enough and were checking out of the hotel only to find a long line at the checkout counter. We went back to the room and called by 11:40am. After many minutes on the phone with Gina, she said several things: 1) threatened for us to talk to a Corporate lawyer, 2) said we were going to pay another night because it was 11:54am, and 3) said she already had our credit card on file and Dayna had already told us we needed to leave by 11am by the way, Dayna did not tell us we had to leave by 11am. Only after we resisted did she talk to the manager and agree to let us leave by 1pm. Again, I understand it was a stressful situation but the front desk did not do a good job and was not understanding. This is in juxtaposition with the entertainment crew who did a great job and kept in great spirits despite the adverse weather conditions. In sum, many of my friends are asking about my experience as I live 20 minutes away from Disneyland and why would I travel so far. And needless to say, I will not be recommending Aulani to any of them because I do not think it was fair what I was charged.

It has been more than 3 weeks and I have not heard back from Disney and I do not have high hopes that they will rectify the matter. I will repost if they contact me.

Wonderful for the kids, had lots of fun. Lots of pools. We'll be back to try a villa.

Wonderful. As expected by anything Disney. The lobby is beautiful. Great craftsmanship. The wind blows throw it giving a beautiful breeze. Then it opens up to the water slides, lazy river and pools and then to the beach. You can buy an 18 dollar disney cup and have free coffee for the remainder of your stay.

This place was awesome from the walk ways , swimming pool , Adults pools .

It seems to be a Disney-like hotel resort.

It is good to stay with child. Slide is fun. The accommodation and other surroundings are not so good. The beach is nice but there are a lot of people. The pool is too small but there are so many people the water is not clean. It's a Disney resort, but there are very few Disney character goods. There is an island market right in front of it, but it is very expensive. There is resort size. Ideal location for a tour of the island north.

The cast members are so pleasant and helpful. The beach is awesome. The multiple pools are also really nice. They offer a lot of activities for kids of all ages. Multiple restaurants that offer a variety of food options. They also have a luau offered on site. The only down side is that it is quite a bit of a drive to any other activities you might want to go to.

Great food, great service, love seeing the Disney characters. Great place for the children to have a meal and have fun at the same time. If you walk around the property, you might get lucky and see other Disney characters walking around .

Great place! Always something to do. Don't need to leave really. Great for kids and adults. You have a beautiful beach, water park, safe area to snorkel in, fire pit stories, pool parties, Aunty's Beach House if you want to drop the kids off, lazy river, etc.

As a Disney Vacation Club member, I am accustomed to high levels of service and amenities. Aulani stands out high among them. The rooms are spacious and well appointed. The colors and amenities are pleasing. Resort pools, activities, restaurants, and programs are very well designed.

Absolutely awesome. Great people, great food, great service. Can't wait to go back.

Service was terrific, staff was incredibly friendly; my kids loved the octopus fountain but were still a bit too young for the lazy river and the "water playground" the name of which escapes me (if I were 9 years old, I never would have left). Prices of dining and sundries were exactly what you would expect, although I must say the Makahiki dinner buffet was well worth the $45 per person cost. The cost of valet parking was the same as self parking ($37) so we opted for the valet. The only thing that bummed me out was not being able to take my kids to the Makahiki breakfast due to being fully booked for weeks on end with no cancellations, and I certainly can't fault the hotel for that.

The only real complaint I have is that the thermostat in our room (and all rooms) is motion activated -- and ours wasn't working. The model was a SensorStat DDC. There are control overrides for this thermostat, but they don't work on the ones at Aulani. I'm sure this is a cost-saving measure due to the criminally insane energy prices in Hawaii, but I would still expect my room temperature to be one where I wasn't waking up from sweating. There was a ceiling fan in the room, but its speed was not adjustable and it was locked to about 45 RPMs -- basically just for show.

Given this, I would absolutely still stay at the hotel again on another vacation.

It is a very enjoyable hotel for Disney lovers. The restaurant is on average high, but it is delicious, and the cast people are also kind and helpful with customer service.
The hotel's elevators are filled with Disney music, and Aulani's Disney stores have goods that can only be purchased there.
There were original bags and accessories for adults, too.
Because there are many children, I felt that my shoulders were a little narrow in my swimming pool. I enjoyed it.
The hotel in Waikiki I stayed in front of here was a lot of Japanese and it was lively. Here is less Japanese than Waikiki and you can not hear Japanese much.
For those who are not good at English, I thought that Waikiki would be better, and those who could speak a little would be better in this area.

Waikiki is a hotel which can taste different resort feeling with. There is also a private beach, but the pool area, which was compatible with the nature very nice.
Mickey Mouse, Minnie Mouse, Pluto, there Duffy, Sherry Mae, stitch, Moana, Gufi, chip & Dale, Donald Duck, also chance to meet Daisy Duck.

Delicious food, friendly staff. Nothing short of what I would expect from Disney. And the characters were wonderful and highly photogenic.

Amazing resort offering all your family needs to enjoy the perfect Hawaiian vacation.

Incredible resort! Perfect location on the water with pristine sand, gorgeous sun sets, lots of food options and tons of activities for the kids. If you need to save, big chain stores are 1 exit down the road.

Our 2 room Villa is great. All the amenities we hoped for and the overhead showers are awesome. The restaurants are pricey, but the food is excellent. We are still early in our stay, and so haven't experienced all the recreation options yet, but the pools so far have been good.

What a treat! A great getaway for Hawaii residents.

Disney always does it right.
I ve luckily visited Aulani 3 times, all with great experiences. Love the lazy river and 2 water slides.
My kids love Aunties Beach House. The lagoon beach is perfect for paddle boarding and snorkeling. ABC market is easily located across the street. Make sure to visit the night entertainment and happy hour at Off the Hook.
A great resort for Families or anyone who enjoys Disney service!

first time here ever and service is great.. i seen some reviews of people hatting but no worries worth the money.. and if yu dont want to eat at the resort there is perfectly good an cheap food across the st from resort!!!!

I went out for a meal with my sister's nephew. During the meal, four Disney characters can go around in order to take pictures and get autographs.
It seemed that the pool area was under construction until around December this year, and the sound of the construction was relatively loud. The taste of the meal is normal. I think it's fun for Disney lovers.

Very beautiful. Only went into gift shops. Friendly service.

Overpriced hotel near man-made lagoons makes for an expensive and enjoyable Disney themed vacation.

I made a very good memory!
Just like Disneyland in Japan, you can take pictures right away without having to wait for hours. When I went, I was able to meet many characters such as Mickey, Minnie, Duffy, Shellie May, Goofy, Stitch, Moana and so on.
Duffy who is wearing aloha shirt etc. is well-known for the limited goods sold here, and I am weak to the word that it is cute and limited.
There are various swimming pools and you can go to the beach, so you can play without getting tired even if you go all day.
Also, because there is a spa, I thought that everyone could enjoy it even when going with three generations of parents and children.

Best place to vacation if your in Hawaii. Try the lava flow drink.

Must-experience with kids of any age. Disney characters and mementos all over the resort. The two pools have different feel for and are kid-friendly. The water park is great for kids! The beach and activities available make the stay a great time.

I have never been so sad to come home from a vacation. This entire resort is so beautiful and everyone is so friendly. It was amazing to learn about the local culture and be so freaking relaxed. I will be returning as soon as I can, truly spectacular.

Great facilities, nice rooms, and wonderful staff. It's a shame it's not a bit more "Disney". It would be great for the pool areas to be better organised so there was a place to store your belongings, and the concrete surfaces all become too slippery when wet. Overall we had an awesome stay.

Resort was gorgeous, staff very friendly. Was very excited for the Mickey Shave ice. Cost $1 to add the ears but the shave ice is only $4 before so definitely worth it and surprisingly cheap considering it s a Disney resort in Hawaii

A fancy yet very crowded.
Kids friendly hotel.

I have been visited the resort on December 15 for a week with my family including two kids.
General speaking, the resort was too old and too much people, the size was too small for a resort as compared with other resorts in Mexico. The services was fair, our kids asked the lady at the front door for the welcome flower ring, she rejected her and told us the flower ring are for the newcomer of the resort. So mean to a small kid! The bathroom ran out of toilet paper, we have to call them up to get refill.
Overall, I dont think the resort was not valued on the priced and service!

Aulani's Disney Hotel. You can enjoy the relaxed atmosphere.
There isn't much around and I enjoy life in the hotel. I think it would be better to enjoy it in conjunction with Waikiki.

The rooms here are super nice. The spa services are great as well. Place it pretty pricey, but worth it.

Just went to sit on the beach with my cousin who was in from out of town.

My kids love the water activities. The Character buffet is decent although the hotel makes you wait to have pictures with mickey before the buffet. My kids were famished and we didn't want to wait but had to -so minus one star for that. When we arrived at the hotel, our room wasn't ready so we waited for about an hour. Check in took longer than expected, but everyone got a personalized key card. The staff is helpful and friendly.

Was good one of the slides were down. So 4 stars with a 5 star price.

It is amazing. Besides the children being happy and having fun so were we. It is a terrific place with always something to do. We all loved it...wow
