Not on the scale of other Disney hotels but a gorg...

Not on the scale of other Disney hotels but a gorgeous property. Pools are safe and well staffed with attentive life guards for the little kids. There is a single adult pool and hot tub but the adults only pool is in the back with ZERO view of the lagoon. The adult hot tub has a gorgeous view of the lagoon but is right next to the kids pool so not as quiet as would be relaxing. The (man made) lagoon is my favorite part of the resort, there must be so type of netting to keep fish out and even shells. You can walk out fairly far (I don't swim well) but if you want to go out to the breakers you need to be a strong swimmer. The paddle boards rent for $39/hr, but this is Disney so everything is expensive. Unfortunately not all parents pay attention, or care, to the over 18 only and the Disney staff doesn't monitor these situations close enough so the burden is on the guests to complain - unacceptable on Disney's behalf given the cost of a visit to this property. There are water stations throughout the property to keep you hydrated (for free), so I consider the $18 mugs for unlimited soda refills unhealthy and unnecessary. Bring your RTIC insulated tumbler and keep hydrated. It's a gorgeous property, the staff all meet or exceed your expectations for service or assistance of any kind. It's an expensive yet wonderful experience. You can save a ton of money by walking across the street to the ABC Market where they cook fresh food to order and daily packaged meals kept warm in heaters - delicious and healthy food I strongly recommend to save money for other activities.
