Glenn Griffin was my tech that came to my house on Friday evening thou it was late. to check why I was having no power to two rooms in the house , with the fuses showing they were ok. Bill Dooly came at a monent s notice through 6 inches of snow to Replace our fan motor in our furnace to give us heat again. He was awesome and explained everything he was doing. I started using Appleton Campbell for one reason, Stacey Woodward. Stacey has worked at my house for nearly 20 years and I trust him completely. I couldn't locate him for a while but when I did, I made the decision to use Appleton Campbell for my boiler, a/c, plumbing, and electrical. I have been so happy with the services provided from the first call to the office to every technician who has ever worked at my house including Scott!

They absolutely provide 5 star service and I recommend them to everybody who asks me for a referral. They are courteous, professional and diligent about follow-up. If they tell you they will do something, they do it. They always clean up so that you would never know they were there working and do a beautiful job of every install. I have had so many of their technicians at my house that I didn't list them all but they are very well trained in customer service.

Ive read previous reviews about prompt and professional and itemizing every detail of this top notch operation, and I will add it is all true. We have had Appleton Campbell for every system in our home. We trust no one else.
WT and Tyler came today for contract plumbing and AC maintenance check up. We received a call prior to their arrival and they arrived exactly on time. Both guys got right to work and everything was completed within 2 hours. WT had suggestions for a plumbing concern and gave three options of action. Tyler took care of the AC and reported coils needed cleaning and proceeded to complete that task.

I recently had a 5 ton unit installed. From the initial estimate provided by Jerry to the installation and final inspection the team was very professional and explained everything thoroughly. While another company seemed resistant to give us a quote, Appleton Campbell took their time to explain everything in their estimate and allow us to make a decision when we felt we were ready. Furthermore, they went above and beyond making sure we were happy with the final installation. The new system seemed louder to us than our previous system and Travis, Mike and Jesse went the extra steps to ensure we were satisfied. I would highly recommend them.

Davey worked with us on our A/C purchase. He gave thorough explanations and never pressured After installation he came back to answer our questions and took whatever time we needed. Renee in the office and Davey were professional and friendly and very responsive. Absolutely a wonderful company! This is my second time using them and I HIGHLY recommend them! I had a hot water heater blow this past Sunday and I can t even begin to explain how wonderfully they handled the situation from the first call, pricing, technical work and clean up! Kudos to the woman who answered my original phone call (I m sorry I don t have her name but she is AWESOME), the woman who checked in today, WT Settle, the first person on the scene on Sunday, and Kevin Ellis and Austin who installed the new tank, cleaned up and put everything back in place!!!! Who does that!!?? Absolutely outstanding service! I CANNOT SAY ENOUGH!!! My new water heater is up and running! I can t thank you enough! I ve already recommended you to my neighbor.

I chose Appleton back in May to replace my aging heat pump that was near death. They did a great job installing but regretfully I learned that I overpayed by thousands compared to other places. The reason I am giving them such a low rating is mainly due to the people they send out. Its not that they aren't friendly, but the past two times they have looked at my two HVAC units, they get EXTREMELY pushy to sell you a brand new unit. I signed up for their home service agreement where they come out and inspect your unit twice a year. Yesterday, they came out for their six month service and after Stacey was down in my basement looking at my furnace, he said it absolutely needed to be replaced. I told him at least five times that I wasnt going to replace it due to funds but he consistently kept pushing me about the 3 years no interest. He then told me that he was going to condemn it if it didnt pass these tests and that it was a safety hazard....yeah alright. I said the furnace heated great but he went on and on about how old it was. Sure enough, after he ran the tests, it passed with flying colors. However that didnt stop him telling me prices for brand new units. Appleton has to stop this push to sell you new HVAC units crap because it is getting old.

I wanted to explain one more experience a couple of months ago. I wanted to know the cost of getting a battery backup on my sump pump. Appleton sent somebody in a timely manner, he went downstairs and came back with a quote to replace the entire thing for over 2500 bucks! I said the sump pump is a year old and that there was no way I was going to replace a practcially brand new sump. I only wanted a battery backup. He said it was showing age and that they use only the best and I told him that I didnt care, I just wanted a battery backup. He then said that those cheaper battery backups dont last but maybe a season, which is crap because I know numerous people with them and theyve had them for years (granted, they did have to replace the battery after a couple of years, but all batteries are like that). Just another pushy sales tactic to get you to spend thousands. So I was out 50 bucks for them just to try to upsell their products. I will no longer be using them after yesterday.

I have used Appleton Campbell for service calls, and I found their staff to be very professional, knowledgeable and trustworthy. The expert advice I received from Renee Davis regarding my service contract, to the field technician's regarding ongoing care and maintenance has been outstanding. I would highly recommend Appleton Campbell for your plumbing and heating and A/C needs.

The team that diagnosed the problems with one of the two heating systems, and performed the extremely thorough safety inspection on the second heating system, and explained several options for much overdue replacement of that first heating system was experienced, skilled, thorough, and had very good customer relations. That first heating system was taken offline as unsafe; but Appleton Campbell was able to schedule installation of a brand new replacement system just two days later. The team that installed the new system was skilled and very hard working. The old furnace and separate air conditioner were removed and the new 3-stage hybrid cooling/heat pump unit plus new propane fueled furnace was installed in a single long day -- 8 AM to 7 PM. All work was tidy and clean.

Your technician worked hard to ensure everything was done correctly and the furnace was running efficiently. I feel confident with his work.

Earlier this year our 14 year old HVAC konked out! So, we called Appleton Campbell and it was the best decision. Part of their service is checking in from time to time to see if the system is still working as it should. This week was our preseason check. Ethan, the technician they sent was prompt, friendly and efficient. He did a thorough inspection of the new system, asked when the filter was last replaced and finished up by asking if we had any questions. It never felt rushed. My home and I were both treated with respect. We are completely satisfied with Appleton Campbell and will absolutely recommend them to anyone looking for the best systems and most complete services.

This Past Saturday I put in an online request, and within minutes I got a call and was able to get a plumber scheduled to come out that same day. WT was fantastic and checked out our old water heater that was having issues. He priced out the repair, as well as several replacement options at my request. We ended up going with one of the replacement options. WT put us on the books for Monday. Justin and Carter came out ahead of schedule. They were professional, yet friendly. They kept me informed about the progress the entire time. We did end up having to do an unexpected 2nd job due to my 40 year old pressure regulator dying on us while turning the water back on to the house. The replacement pressure regulator ended up being bad out of the box and leaked. They had WT run out a 2nd unit and got it installed and ensured everything was tested, tagged, and good to go. I'd recommend them for your plumbing needs.

Install crew of James K., Steven K, and Zack W. Arrived on time, in marked vehicles and in uniform. All were polite, professional and thorough. They did an excellent job installing a new system and made sure I understood how the system worked and that I knew how to make sure it was operating properly. Very pleased with the system and the gentlemen that installed it. They did haul away everything that needed to be removed, and did a great job cleaning up and answering all my questions!

This past Monday and Tuesday Appleton Campbell installed a new Carrier HVAC system in our home with a steam generation humidity capability. This is the third major appliance/system that we've had installed. First was a hot water heater about two years ago then a Carrier attic heat pump/air conditioning system. In each and every case, the Appleton Campbell technicians were first-rate, carried themselves professionally and did an excellent job beginning with Davey coming to our home, keeping the old system operational until a new one could be installed and providing my wife Susanne and I with alternative systems with the pros and cons of each. Then in the terrible snow storm last Friday, Mike came to our house and took measurements for fabricating the sheet metal parts and requisite duct work. I'm sorry, I forgot his helpers name. They had to leave because the roads became treacherous, but, in fact, he was able to secure all the information he needed before returning to Warrenton. On Monday, Paul came and was accompanied by Mike and Danny. Again, I can't stress enough how professional everyone was. Paul was busy dismantling, while Mike was doing on-site fabrication and installing duct work. Danny was busy on the patio assembling the new furnace. I am responsible for some seventy technicians working in VA Hospitals and clinics in the eastern 2/3s of the country, so I recognize and appreciate economy of effort and I appreciate neatness (almost as much as my wife) and the courteousness they show to the veterans and the clinicians. The men kept the work space always neat. After Mike completed his work and left for Oakton, Danny went to work putting PVC drains in place while Paul was installing a new 3/4" gas line replacing the 1/2" old inadequate one. Then Paul crafted a intake exhaust crossover from 2" and 3" pipe, connectors and elbows. After completing more wiring for all the components, Paul fired off the Furnace. Voila, heat. We discovered a faulty UV lamp (reject out-of-the-box) and he told me that would be replaced. The next day, Tuesday, Paul came back with Jesse. Jesse was assigned installing the air conditioning unit outside and charging it appropriately and setting it on a level plane on the provided platform. Once the low voltage wiring was completed and tests completed the crew (Paul and Jesse) then fired up the unit and test the heat and AC. Everything was copecetic. The gentlemen then gave my wife and I a tutorial on the thermostat usage for heat, cooling and the humidifier. Paul, having completed the paperwork for the Fauquier County inspector, showed me where it was for when the inspector comes. We passed on learning about all the modern settings for now. Again we policed the area for any missing parts, tools or debris and the fellows went on their way. Today, Wednesday, Mike came by with a replacement UV bulb and installed it. We kidded him about how handsome he looked in the brochures. I cannot say enough about the professionalism, courteous behavior and simple caring about the job they all do. Thanks to all involved.

Service was excellent which seems difficult to find these days! All the crew from repair tech to installers to office staff were very professional. We were always apprised of the next step - they should be the model for businesses in the service industry!

Called AppletonCampbell for a leaking faucet this morning and they quickly had someone out to me. Everyone was very courteous and professional! And WT showed me everything he was doing and was SO thorough. I recently had a routine spring maintenance performed on my system. The technician came well within the proposed time frame and was courteous and professional. He was very thorough, inspecting both the indoor and outdoor components of the system. When he was finished he had some suggestions for repairs we might want to consider having done and backed up his suggestions with pictures from his phone that showed the damage/flaking/mold he had been talking about...as well as the prices the additional repairs would cost. He emphasized that only one repair was more on the "crucial" side, but never once did I feel pressured to give him an answer on the spot.

It was necessary for Shane, Ulysses, Cory & Thomas to replace my circuit breaker panel. They did an excellent job. They cleaned up after themselves which I appreciated. Professional service.

Their electrical service was top notch. the electrical repair person, Devyn was everything you would want him to be and more. OUTSTANDING Service and I do not say that lightly.

During an inspection of our A/C unit, a gas leak was detected on our old hot water heater. Jason W and Zackary W. came over around 5pm that same day to replace the hot water heater. They both worked late into the evening to complete the job so that we wouldn't be without hot water. While listening in, I repeatedly heard them focusing on even cosmetic details that had nothing to do with the overall functionality of the job, simply pride and attention to detail. An example is that they made sure to match zip tie colors to the equipment and to hide the actual fastener part so that it looked good. Even working late in the evening they didn't compromise on any detail or cut any corner. As always, they took pictures of their work and provided all of the documentation in a single 3 ring binder. Excellent work as always! Thank you!

Technician Matt M. is very pleasant and appears to be totally competent. He found the problem in my geothermal unit and repaired it quickly and seemingly with ease. He gave me good and frank advice on how to prevent future problems. (I have my system checked twice a year and have had the services of several technicians. I have found them ALL to be pleasant and competent.)

I will never use anyone else. I called this morning because we were having a issue with our sump pump and I was able to get an appointment the same day. Mike Loy was our tech and he was amazing. Ronnie came out to repair my AC unit. He was very helpful and informative, not just doing the bare minimum, but ensuring that everything was in working order and operating efficiently before leaving. He was very polite and respectful, even as my 4 dogs continually tried to harass him. He let me know about additional services, but didn't push and needlessly upsell me anything. All communication ahead of time through email/phone was very prompt in setting up the appointment and letting me know when he'd arrive.

Just moved to a new house in warrenton and had a day of service calls. Davy K and Jason W worked hard to get my hvac system cleaned and working the way it needed to be. James M did a whole house detailed electrical inspection which made me aware of some important safely concerns. They were all curtious and gave me the time and information needed to think as their was a lot of information that needed to be processed. There was no pressure, which was very appreciated.

Very disappointed in Appleton Campbell ! I inquired about servicing an oil furnace in a nice mobile home. The manager I spoke with said they do not service furnaces in mobile homes because they do not carry the parts to service the furnaces. What a bunch of discrimination ! Or maybe they just don't want to service mobile homes...They are supposed tobe this wonderful company but I found a better one!

Outstanding service. Kenny Mills Tech #333 was the best Plummer I've ever met. His craft work is amazing, there was no part of the removal and install he didn't have covered. His time on site is Commendable. he arrived at the scheduled time was on-site a minimum our time with no disruptions. He left the workspace perfectly clean and up-to-date. Kenny is my kind of employee that I want to keep in my company if I had him he would be a Super ambassador for my company. He is an outstanding worker. he is worth his weight in gold.

I had Reid from Appleton Campbell come out here after the wind sent my grass into my outdoor unit and clogged up the unit and caused my A/C to shut off. I have a 7 month old infant and it was a massive worry. Reid came out here quickly and professionally and made sure that his mission was to get the A/C back on. His exact words were you have an infant inside, I m not leaving until it s fixed. In the pouring rain, he unclogged my unit and it s nice and cool inside for my family. I have used Appleton Campbell for years for furnace and home systems service. I come back year over year because their service staff are the best in the business. All their technicians know what they are doing, offer solid solutions, explain what and why they are doing something and what my options are. They never pressure or badger (which I have had service companies do) when they offer their list of suggestions. They are just that suggestions. They ensure my systems run efficiently and are safe. Seth is my AC/Heat pump guy and he is just wonderful. My oil guy just retired so I will see this fall who my new tech is, what I like is a get the SAME tech nearly every time. Hugely helpful. Appleton Campbell installed my new Heat Pump in 2015. They were very helpful in helping me pick the best unit for my home. The installation went smoothly and I was very pleased with the work. They come and inspect the unit twice a year and do any maintenance needed. The technicians are always on time, very polite, and answer any and all of my questions. This is such a reliable, professional company. I am so glad we have an account with them! Today, Seth and Mchugh came out to service the heater, which they do on a regular rotation. They're courteous and helpful, and explain everything so well. When we first bought the house we screwed up the automatic shut-off for the oil heat, which caused a strong odor throughout the house. We were new to oil heat and freaked out, afraid we were going to burn the house down or flood the basement with oil. LOL. Seth came, tested everything out, showed us how it all works. What a relief!
The office is also wonderful. Never cranky or rude. And all the service folks don't try to up-sell you on things you don't need. They're honest, professional, and wonderful to have as a service company. We highly recommend them.

Had a technician named Seth do annual maintenance on our oil-fired low-pressure hot water heating system and on our summer air conditioners as well. His work was completed in a professional manner and he explained in clear terms what he was doing and why he was doing the steps he performed.
