When searching for a used auto for my wife, I came across Lavery Automotive's competitive pricing. As any interested buyer would do, I gave them a call inquiring about a Saab 9-7x. I was pleasantly surprised with Mark Eberling's willingness to help answer my many questions. Without hesitation or even confirmed interest in buying the vehicle, he sent me a complete vehicle history report as well as a detailed video showing every aspect of the vehicle. I was by no means pushed or pressured by Mark as many others have experienced with used car lots, but instead I felt respected and was given more than enough information needed about the vehicle. Bait and switch? Had a $49k Suburban in transit and had bought airline ticket to buy/pick up. Kristin promised pics/ video upon arrival so they could inspect vehicle being received first. In the meantime, would send financing paperwork. After a day of updates, radio silence and would not respond. Finally reached Matt who told me that the vehicle was being serviced and he would get me pics the next morning. Kristin then sent me an email the next morning telling me that the vehicle had been sold (out from under me). Manager Jim Teal was very unapologetic about the situation and said they were in the business to sell cars, didn't accept deposits from out of state/internet buyers and would sell to whoever came with money first. I would have been happy to pay in advance but followed Kristin's advice to have them inspect the vehicle upon delivery. Totally lived up to the negative stereotype of the car salesman.
I recently leased a car from Lavery, and am very happy. While I generally get along with car dealers I noticed I never seemed to get a straight answer, have them answer specific questions, and I really struggled with them constantly wanting me to come to the dealership.
None of this happened with Lavery. They were honest, upfront, and fair. Since I'm a couple hours away I'm going to regret not getting a chance to meet with them. Very smooth transaction.

Just over 1 year ago I purchased a 2011 Chevy Cruze Eco from Craig Vicars and the Lavery Automotive staff. The body shop did a great job on repairing my car. Looks brand new and was all cleaned up and shined up. And everyone in the office was friend and the people I dealt with in phone were nice and professional.

Lavery's is great place with great people. I just feel when it comes to servicing vehicles the agents should be more proactive. I get the fact that you want to get vehicles in and get them done right but to try and schedule someone weeks out for an scheduled Maintaince oil change is not good service. Outside of scheduling people in the people are great and the service once your in is great.
Took my vehicle to the dealership to check a recall for my water pump and they told me I have a leak. They did a compression test and gave me the car back saying my water pump is fine. The cars water outlet exploded as I drove off the lot. They refuse to take blame for their test blowing up my outlet housing and now I'm getting towed home under all my expense. Poor service. They ruined my water outlet housing with their test!!
Greg is awesome. Actually the entire team was great to work with. No hassle, no haggle, price is what it is and trade in was fair. Greg is Honest, funny and made buying a car easy. I bought a car in this dealership at the beginning of this month. I got my car's title yesterday. My friend referred me to this dealership although it is a little bit far from my home. Before this dealership, I went to several dealerships but end up not getting a suitable car either because of the bad service or high price. We finally bought a satisfactory chevy cruze in Lavery with the help of Matt. He is nice and always has smile on his face when talking. He tried his best to help us find the most suitable car and get the best price. I have to say the price they are asking is quite reasonable and acceptable which will increase the probability of successful business. But if they open on Sunday as well, that will be perfect since most people don't have time to pick their purchased cars on Monday morning and that was exactly what I did.

Amy Wolf was fantastic. First by the online service then by phone. I was so confident that from just talking with her, I felt very comfortable driving from Charlotte, NC to Alliance, OH, to purchase the car sight unseen, because I had this feeling of trust that she had given me. When I arrived with my wife, we were both very impressed with all the employees we met. Including Becky Labate the finance administrator and Jim Teal the sales manager. Both Amy and Becky were very thorough in the process, and made sure we were completely comfortable with everything. My husband and I went into Lavery's on Friday, I have to say this has been the absolute best buying experience of our lives and that is saying something as we are in our mid-50's and have purchased a few vehicles over the years. From start to finish it was completely stress free, fair and they allowed us to take our time and decide on what exactly we wanted to do. Great atmosphere to buy a car! Jim Wolfe met us as we were checking out the escape I wanted to buy and said, "Let me grab some dealer plates and we can take it on the road.". The ride was very pleasant and I never felt pressured or rushed. After the test drive we went into their NEW beautiful office building and sat down with Jim while he helped us get the purchase rolling. Once it was time to finance, Becky and Jim teamed up and were very efficient and resourceful with taking care of everything (I didn't even have to transfer the plates from my trade-in, Jim did it for me). They washed the Escape inside and out before I took it home. Honestly, I couldn't be happier with the service and prices. My family and I have purchased 3 vehicles in the last year from Lavery. We are very pleased with all of our vehicles purchased from them. They have the best car prices in a 50 mile radius and friendly staff. Lavery has also taken care of all the major issues that were a concern like replacing 2 front tires,front end alignment and some paint work on the trunk lid.I would have given Lavery a 5 star rating, but I couldn't because of small issue with 2019 impala v6 emblem and the adhesive on the trunk lid spoiler that I have not received a phone call back on how to resolve the issue..The call was made 3 weeks ago. For the most part Lavery is a family oriented dealer ship and even though i have a few very small unresolved issues,I will recommend anyone who is looking for nice vehicle and at a fair price. I was very nervous to go in and get bombarded with sales people but Sarah had a very laid back and friendly approach to the whole process. I had a very positive experience dealing with Lavery Automotive sales and specifically Craig Vicars. I was able to negotiate a fair price for my vehicle over the phone as I live about 3 hours away. Craig and Lavery Automotive accommodated me in staying after hours to complete my sale and they also worked to get me the best financing they had available. Craig even set up my On-Star and filled up my tank.
We have purchased/leased MANY vehicles from car dealerships in our 62 years of life and this experience is right at the top of that long list. We knew nothing about the dealership eventhough it is about a 30 minute drive from our home in Canfield.
We usually shop for a vehicle in a number of ways: onsite visits, online, magazines, etc. We prefer online or internet as we become more serious about our purchase/lease. Online/internet "shopping" also gives us a chance to review the dealership inventory. We realize that a dealership can "hunt" for a vehicle of our choice but we would rather go directly to the dealership who currently has the model. We have sat through way too many transactions over the years where it is often painful and time consuming negotiating over a price. We do enough internet research to realize where we want to be with regard to the purchase price. So, we believe we come to the table educated, willing and ready to transact. We have found that "requesting a quote" via the internet is a productive manner in which to begin transacting. It soon becomes rather obvious the quality of the professionals one is dealing with.
This is where Dave Sherman enters the picture on our recent transaction. I put out a request for a quote to only two dealerships this time (usually I may have a need to request similar pricing from 4 or 5). Dave was VERY quick and responsive to our request. I had presented several questions asking for information. Dave was thorough and presented the information not only in a timely manner but concise, accurate and easy to understand. We continued to "negotiate" and review our options via emails until I felt it was time to make a phone call. At the same time, I was attempting to get similar information from another sales consultant at another dealership. The sales consultant was not very forthcoming and did not communicate the information clearly, completely and easy to understand. Each dealership had at least one or two vehicles that we would have considered. After some prodding, the other dealership was finally willing to present some figures and a cloudly explanation as to how they arrived at the "bottom line".
We met Dave for the first time on a Saturday morning and within 2 hours we were not only sold on the vehicle of our choice but also the dealership and Dave especially. Each question presented to Dave was answered immediately and much to our pleasure. What we saw as obstacles, Dave saw as a challenge that could be conquered to our satisfaction. I highly recommend Dave Sherman to anyone in search of a new or used vehicle. We had no prior knowledge or relationship with Dave but he is a young man that we will return to in the future.
A few days later, we arrived to pick up our new vehicle. Dave had been ill and missed work for two days but made a point to be there late that afternoon to "deliver" the vehicle. He personally introduced us to various members of the staff and they ALL made us feel welcomed and "part of the family". We look forward to having the vehicle serviced in their service department and getting to know more of the staff.

Staff is delightfully friendly and not overbearing like most dealerships. My salesman Chris, was very Highly motivated and a gentleman. He was very attentive to my needs and made sure I got exactly what I wanted. I would Highly Recommend Lavery!!!!
They did not check my vehicle correctly. I bought the vehicle on a Saturday and they told me it was all right but when I got home I detected an error in the heating system, when I went to claim that I had that fault that same week they told me I had to pay it when I was previously assured that I would worry, if I had a problem I would take it. In the end I had to pay 300 dollars.
When my 2000 Grand Am was getting bad, we immediately turned to Andy Hagan at Lavery. I have never met someone who took such a genuine time with my family and I. He was the BEST salesman we have ever worked with. He spend numerous hours with us setting up the car inside and out. We never felt rushed and we felt extremely cared for and important. Andy is incredibly knowledgeable and patient, he is a salesman we will continue to go to for years and years. Such a good car buying experience, we bought 2!! Absolutely everyone I dealt with at Lavery were great. Starting with Kristin Bellay (Internet Sales), who was pleasant and very helpful. Craig was a great sales rep who really helped get us the car we wanted at a great price. Never rushed us into a decision and allowed us to check out a couple different options.
I felt I was rushed and pushed out the door during the buying process. Prices were never discussed, my trade in prices were never discussed and the current GM rebates and offers were never discussed or explained. After learning about offers I was not aware of and was not presented to me from the sales team I was told if I wanted that offer we would have to redo all the paperwork at 7pm while they were closing the doors. They actually lock the doors behind me as soon I stepped out of the building. I was not looking for every dollar available but I wanted to be told upfront what all my options were. I wanted to talk about my trade in which was never discussed. I am not happy with my experience with this dealership. I should have known better and waited to visit a dealership from my hometown, but being in the military always puts me in a disadvantage.
Service department and sales went above and beyond any expectations I had. We traveled an hour and a half and passed 3 Cadillac dealers to buy our second vehicle from Lavery. The experienced sales and service team will keep me coming back for a long time. 5 star service across the board.
my 1994 corvette had intermittent starting problems. took it to Levery's, couldn't find the problem. I left and came back, tried to start it wouldn't start. The Car acted up at the dealer, and their "great" mechanic's couldn't figure it out. I left with a bill of over $300.00 and Vette still not fixed! I took it to a good mechanic, he found the opti-spark was going bad in about two minutes. I can't believe Lavery's didn't refund my money after their complete failure! Last time i go there for repairs.

I have leased two vehicles here before I got into sales myself, and each time was Fast, Fun, and Easy with a non-commission based sales staff.
