I am going into my 4th year with Midwest pool management and have really enjoyed my time with the company. The management team(field supervisors and district managers) are incredible. I couldn t have asked for a better first job. I ve gone to a number of different pools and met so many great people....
This definitely is the best job I have ever been a part of and I highly enjoy working with my staff, also the office helps me with any problems I have come up at my facility. It s easy to move up in the rankings if you know how to do your job and put in the work. I highly recommend this job.
This company is the best to work for! Teens and adults a like are welcomed and praised for their hard work. Everyone is given a opportunity to learn and advance their skills. It is a welcoming work environment by workers and patrons alike. Further more it is nice to work with people who encourage yo...
This company is dedicated to satisfying your needs and constantly looking for improvements within themselves. Great team of higher ups that never leave a job undone.
I love working here and still do! Nothing has truly upset me to be honest. Sometimes the hours can get slower in the winter but that s to expect with a pool job anyways:) as of right now live the staff and the people in charge and the company itself!
There are a few good Lifeguards, Courtney and Heather is alsome, but like today there was one, that played in pool with her boyfriend all evening. 4 kids in pool. She was under the water alot .. took a hafe to 45.min break. Then came back out in the pool again. No problem with them cooling off. Bu...
I have worked for MPM once when I was 15 and then this past summer. I didn t go back for 4 years due to the water park scene, not MPM. When I found a neighborhood pool I decided I d try it out again. The problem is that pay for being a guardian of life at a pool should be much higher than minimum ...
Have had an amazing experience working for MPM for 2 years. I ve worked at many pools and worked with many other employees. All of the MPM staff is very helpful and try their best to get around to all of their assigned pools to try and ease the managers and lifeguards stress. Things may be a little ...
If you are looking to enhance your resume, learn skills that can assist in everyday situations, gain lifelong friends, etc. this is the job for you! There are so many opportunities to move up the ladder and gain even more valuable skill sets that can only benefit you. Great company!
Great place to work! There are tons of opportunities for young people to gain experience and learn skills for life. As District Manager I have the honor of working with hundreds of young people in their very early careers. Full time employees are really a family to each other and it is great to hav...
I have worked for Midwest for 7 years in the summer! They have been a huge support system and have challenged me in positive ways that I have carried on into my college education. I highly suggest a summer work experience with them as a lifeguard:)
I'm not hear to tell you how great MPM is or how horrible it is, because if I'm being honest, its not either of those by themselves. Like any company, there is drama, and like any company there are things that run very well and like they should. MPM has its ups and downs just like any other company,...
MPM is a fantastic rescource for an organization that I work for and I would reccomend doing business with them. Highly responsive, great lifeguards, and knowledge of aquatic facilities.
If you live in North County, and are looking for a summer job close to home, DO NOT work for Midwest Pool. They only do pool service for West County, South County, St. Charles, and Jefferson. The closest to North County they work in is Bridgeton. All that my trainer gave me was a 1 hour orientation...
The pool I worked at ran just fine until this group came in and turned the place into an absolute sh*tshow. Would never recommend anyone to work for these clowns.
Midwest pool is a joke. The training cost $200 to be certified and the equipment that is used in the whole training process should not be that much. They don t even train you correctly, try Red Cross. The pay is horrible. They will not pay you the money you asked for even if they say OK to it. The...
amazing workplace, i worked here for two years and absolutely loved it. my general manager cared for all of us and my supervisor was top notch! i m so happy i got to experience MPM.
Midwest pool management is a great company. I was a resident of a pool they maintained and I was also an employee for several years. I can say without a doubt I would recommend this company to anyone needing their services. Everyone in the office is extremely hard working and take pride in their wor...
Half decent summer job as a lifeguard. Before you offer yourself and/or apply, make sure you re surrounding yourself with sensible people. You want those above you to care if you get a break and have a reasonable schedule. My pool is understaffed 85% of the time, so expect everyday to be a little to...
I have worked with this company for 13 years - specifically with Crissy & Wayne. They have always been very responsive - everything handled immediately. In fact, when another pool company could not get a community pool opened in time for the holiday weekend, they stepped in with 2 day's notice & th...
I liked lifeguarding matter of fact i loved it but not with this company, me and a buddy of mine got a job over in preston woods 63367, was not fun at all we had a staff roster of about 4 at the beginning of the year the training is a waist of time you show up you swim 1 lap and your done if i had t...
This is by far the worst company we have ever dealt with. They hire 15-16 year old managers on a power trip who do not respect homeowner rights. The lifeguards refuse to check for identification, do not stop dangerous horseplay and tend to follow their own rules. The training program at Midwest i...
Midwest was great at the beginning just to impress the hoa or clients staffing a pool with all 15 year olds is a nightmare I loved working here until I had to go out of pocket to buy supplies for our pool I had to buy gloves and a first aid kit, they say they will pay you x amount an hour you ll get...
Training is a complete waste of time, all of 2 hours to show you how to do things and it wasn't even the right info. I got to my first shift, manager breifly (like in less than 30 seconds breif) went over what to do and went to go sit it the office for 2 hours. She never checked on me once. This is ...
I would just like to say that I have always enjoyed being a lifeguard, but this company has changed my mind. MidWest lacks in management skills and communication. I was let go with out even being told that I was fired. One day I was just taken off the schedule and marked as a no show. MidWest also...
Horrible management, scheduling nightmare! They ask your preferences, tell you that this is a part-time summer job but schedule you 12 hour shifts regularly. They will take advantage of you and could care less if you get a break or lunch. These guards are so hot and exhausted most days extremely ov...
The training program at Midwest is obviously flawed, their management is not responsive and honestly I find this company unsafe and unfit for the services they provide. This is by far the worst company we have ever dealt with. They hire 15-16 year old managers on a power trip. The lifeguards refuse...
I'm glad to see a company that is always able to keep good communication with its employees. No matter the time of day, one can expect a quick timely positive response that puts you right back on track.
This was my first year working with MidWest at our neighborhood pool. We had a fabulous swim season thanks to the hard work from Jay and Bryan. They were available 24/7 to address any needs/concerns that we had with our pool. Our guards did a fabulous job under the guidance of MidWest. If a prob...
If your Thinking about working here, TURN TAIL AND RUN, Here's why.... I worked here as a lifeguard for 2 years, Swim Instructor for 3. When I was first Hired onto the job (19 years of age) all I had to do was fill out an application and make sure I passed my lifeguard certification. There was no ba...
