If you live in North County, and are looking for a summer job close to home, DO NOT work for Midwest Pool. They only do pool service for West County, South County, St. Charles, and Jefferson. The closest to North County they work in is Bridgeton.
All that my trainer gave me was a 1 hour orientation at the HQ in Maryland Heights on basic pool watching guidelines and then 1 hour crash course at your assigned pool on basic cleaning procedures and how to sign in complex residents. The first time I was scheduled for training, my "trainer" left at 6:10 because I hadn't yet showed, even though the session was scheduled until 7.
The supervisor I had was not very pleasant to be around, and was very unprofessional (had NO idea what the Staff Reference Manual was). None of the other executives care much about their employees (judging by the way they would speak to me, constantly interrupting); they are very ignorant of the fact that its very hot in St. Louis summers and will FIRE any employee who gets in the water during their shift, for any reason, whether its 70 or 110 out.
