Beautiful venue, not the style we expected, but amazing in its own way. We re not the type to buy drinks at a show but they had a small water fountain with paper cups provided and that was a very nice feature. The show (Norma) was wonderful, and each seat has its own translation screen with the opti...

WOW! Color me impressed. Really nice Mexican restaurant. A little bit higher scale than the average but not super high end. Needless to say, it is very authentic. Better than others I've visited here in NYC. Tasty food! Take this from a Mexico City Mexican.

Well organized staff and amazingly quick how many people were able to get tickets and seated in so short a time. Although the leg room for $80 seats were dismal. I'm 6'2" and couldn't sit comfortably at all. My knees were bent at weird angles or I'd have to hug them. Performance and main singers wer...

Loved Mephistophele! The prologue had us hooked -with exciting sets, heavenly chorus (adult and children s), memorable soloists, glorious music - and the opera only improved from there. Plus, the world renowned Opera House - and our friendly seat mates!

Went to see The Marriage of Figaro.
They could work on making a more comfortable seating area with atmosphere (maybe dome light music?) before entering the hall. The bar only takes cash which is a bit inconvenient. But other than that, superb!

It's really beautiful, so fun for a night out to dress up and take pictures. I've been to a few opera houses and I always buy nosebleed tickets, I've found the acoustics in the nosebleeds to be kind of meh compared to other opera houses (ex. Oslo and Garnier Opera houses). I've been to 2 shows here,...

This is the Metropolitan Opera House. It is beautiful inside and outside. The performance was amazing (Magic Flute). If you come to NY, pay a visit here, you won't regret. There is even subtitle available for the Opera! The view on the picture is from the Grand Tier B4.

The MET is one of my favorite places in the world. I've seen a number of productions over the years and I'm still awestruck every time I go. For instance, recently I saw Nabucco, and they actually set the set on fire during the scene where the city is taken.

Their occasional abridged, English-lan...

Broadway is to tourists as the Met is to Nyers. Always choose the orchestra as close as you can to the pit. Classics and avante garde productions such a lamour de loin and parsifal always blow my mind... also best place to nap, just dont snore lol

The best experience of my life! I loved everything about it. I hope to go again soon. I'm glad I also got to go with a good friend and her daughter. We watched the magic flute and it was wonderful. I still can't believe that I had a chance to go period. I felt like Cinderella. The place is beau...

It's the Metropolitan Opera House. In New York City. Prepare yourself for a real treat. Highly recommend going all out and dressing to the nines (black tie optional; a proper suit or lovely dress would be just perfect). Oh, and the bar on the mezzanine level is usually less busy and you can walk out...

We watched LaBoheme at the Met Opera in Lincoln Centre. What an outstanding experience: beautiful beautiful venue, and fantastic opera. Really worth doing. For those who don't know operatic languages, there is a neat translation screen that shows you what's going on.
