The pastor recently made up a story about who I was based off a couple antidotes I told him in an email.
Bad example and bad pastoral care. Don t give this toxic place your time or money.

I visited for the first time today. I tried to start a conversation with a few different people, but they didn't want to talk to me. My smiles weren't returned. I sat by myself for a long time before the service started - so did other people. Very cold place, unless you know someone. I posted this on their Facebook wall and it was removed.

This is my church home here in Rockford and if you're looking for a church that's family oriented this is the place for you. Tons of wonderful people great groups for people of all ages (yes even college kids) I wouldn't want to go anywhere else for church.
I couldn't imagine going to a different church! Every message is taught with the Bible open and is gospel centered! The pastors are genuine and inviting and get the church heavily involved in the community.
I m so thankful for this church, from the people to the faithfulness to the word of God. Thank you Lord for this God glorifying local church!
A fired up church to serve Jesus, the Rockford surrounding area, its church family, and all visitors. If you want be a part of a community that extends beyond Sunday, Harvest has a network of weekly Life Groups that helps you meet people and grow spiritually. We are new to the area and the people at this church welcomed us and made us feel right at home!
People were very friendly, but not too "friendly", where it just comes off as insincere. Talked with several of the pastoral staff and they seemed to be, in conversation the same person they were when teaching or leading. Great space for families and kids of all ages. Music is contemporary with a blend of modern and traditional and wasn't too loud or too "showy". Most of all, the truth of the saving power of the Gospel was taught and shown through the culture and people. We were visiting from OH, so we won't be regular s, but if we lived close, we definitely would be!
Its the best church I've ever been to. They are the friendliest church I've seen. After ever service they say "You are loved "
The people greet you w with open arms. Makes you feel loved. I consider this my church.
Excellent church. Began coming as a student nearly a year ago and God has used this place to radically change my life. Such passionate body of believers who fear the Lord and His Word and spread His Gospel unapologetically. Preaching is Scripturally-rooted and helps myself and other members hold a higher view of God. If you're looking for a place with open doors, open hearts, and open hands ready to love as Christ did, this is the place for you.

The church is amazing. The people are friendly, and I love both the messages from the paster as well as the music.
Excellent community church. The church is very invested in the community. The leadership is great. Very biblical in practice. The student and kids ministries are growing very fast. Just built a new addition to further invest in the next generation. John Dirkse is a great pastor and teacher. I am continually challenged by his preaching. We got involved serving and love it. We are proud to call it our church home.
Really impressive facility. Was there for a visitation for a brother of a friend, and the place and sanctuary are very nice.
God is in this place! The worship to our Lord and savior is awesome! The sermons dive deep into the word so we can get to know and love God!
The people here are so great and inviting. As a first timer to their Church, I felt welcomed and the people seemed genuinely excited that I was there.
