Canyons River Company Review

Just back from my 2nd trip with Canyons! I thought it was a trip of a lifetime, but after my trip with them last summer I knew I had to do it again! I can't say enough about how fabulous it is to experience the Middle Fork with Canyons! They know and LOVE this river and will share it with you in a very special way! Book your trip now! I'm already planning my next one!

I have been on at least 4 Canyons trips. I wouldn t go with anyone else. We spent our 50th wedding anniversary with them and all our family and much of our extended family came. Even those who were horrified in the beginning said it was the most remarkable trip they d been on. There s nothing like it for family bonding. The guides are all so well trained. While you re having the time of your life, they are casting a watchful eye on you floating or roaring through the canyons and you re barely aware of it. You get a chance to ride in whichever style of boat you choose and can switch at most any time. I love that! When they re not oaring through the waves, they re fixing incredible meals and they have fabulous game ideas to entertain. In addition they are fine caring people. They care about you but also the environment and the history and the treasure that the the Salmon River corridor and the wilderness is. I love them!

Spent 11 days on the Middle Fork & Main Salmon with Greg & his team. They really know the river, and they know how to run the trip right! Amazing scenery, fun rapids, enjoyable hikes, and great food. Can't wait to go back...

Went on a Middle Fork trip and it was the best 6 days on the water ever! My husband and I actually got married on the trip, something that we had planned 2 years in advance. From the pre-trip planning support to the actual guides on the river, everything was perfect. They are an extremely professional yet laid back and friendly outfitter. They also are very accommodating for large groups of kayakers, when almost every other outfitter seemed very uncomfortable with the idea of so many boats in the water. Thanks for the amazing trip Canyons!

I haven' t yet been on my MIddle Fork trip, but all my dealings with the office so far have been friendly, efficient, and knowledge-providing.

Have been rafting with Canyons on 5 different occasions. They are hands-down the BEST! It is not just the beauty of the wilderness, it is how EVERYONE who work at Canyons makes you feel like family. Their style and universal way of accommodating every guest no matter how young or old is simply astounding! The entire group of guides made each trip so very special and life-changing. I would highly recommend them.

Amazing! This trip far exceeded my expectations. Being out in the beautiful wilderness, unplugged. River life, a different sandy beach every night. Delicious food every single meal. The guides are top-notch; fun, hard-working, and attentive. So very well organized. Choose your activity level every day, active and adventurous, or laid back and relax, something for everyone. If you are thinking about doing this trip .just do it! Canyons is the best!

These guys are the real deal. If you have been on outfitted river trips before the differences will be obvious. If not, the guides, the organization and safety are the best in Idaho. Canyons is an amazing company running amazing Rivers.

EPIC!!!!!

UNBELIEVABLY AMAZING! I was a first timer and had the most wonderful experience. As an older millennial, I didn't think I could go "off the grid" and not get bored for 6 days of the same thing but it was truly an eye opening experience. The guides were incredible and made everything so smooth and accommodating. And can't forget to mention the Michelin-worthy camp cuisine! Can't wait to go back.

I consider my float trip with Canyons as one of the best experiences of my life. Being on the river and not seeing any signs along the river banks of modern day for a week was extremely special and I hope to repeat the experience. Anyone who has been on one of your trips knows that they are flawless....delicious food, beautifl scenery and fun and experienced staff.

My best friend and I have rafted 20+ rivers over the last 40 years, using many rafting companies. We took our first Salmon River trip with Canyons in the mid-90's, I took my family back on the same trip four years later and again 12 years after that.
The Canyons team is incredible - far and away the best rafting company of all the ones I've experienced. The number of guides that stay with Canyons is amazing - we actually had two guides on our last trip that were on our first trip 16 years earlier!

This company comes highly recommended by close family. I'm taking my first adventure this summer with our family group. The communucation with them has been excellent. Believe me I have called more than once with silly questions. My expectations are high and I am confident that the trip, and the whole idea af seeing nature first hand with the help of staff will be exceptional.
