Dimsums and starters were the only good things. Drinks were ok. Service was not upto par. We asked for water twice which never came. Spent the entire evening without water. Main course was way overpriced for the very mediocre quality.

Expensive but great quality dim sums. Venison and wagyu puffs are a must. Not your regular Chinese but worth the experience at least once. You will need to book online/phone as they are always busy.

Dim sum, made in house, was good, though food overall missed a bit of excitement and refinement - something you can find elsewhere for the same price. Eclectic, slightly outdated interior. Friendly staff.

Chinese cuisine restaurant in Soho. It has a bar where you can taste some of its cocktails from the extensive menu. The dim sum and the duck stand out. Always very atmospheric and full of people. Very attentive staff.

Pleasant environment
Differentiated attendance by the waiters, the last time the waitress suggested that she would decide the and she nailed it.

Seated early Sunday evening without reservation.
Ordered x2 cocktails which then sat on the bar for 10 minutes, I could have collected them myself but instead had to ask the waiter to bring them. The food was delicious. But again, had to o wait an unreasonable amount of time for the bill, had to ask for it twice. They removed the service charge for us thankfully. Disappointing experience. Also, lots of flies in restaurant.

Still the best dimsum place in London. Chung fun is my favourite. Service is polite and professional. Great place to have dinner with friends or for a more business setting. Not cheap, but at least your get your money's worth.

This on of the best Dum Sum place in the UK. Is it worth the trip, oh yah...every thing is great. Location, Service, Food decoration.

We had a chance to try several dishes and all were great. My favorite is the steamed Shrimp and crispy duck salad.

It is one of the few places I can go back to few times during a visit to London.

The Waiter was really taking care of us, as I recall he has been there for the last two years. If you are lucky he will serve your table.

If you want handmade and exquisite dim sum, this is where you should be headed to. Ask them for recommendations if you would like to order ala carte and you will not be disappointed.

The Prawn and Scallop Sui Mai was the highlight alongside with the lemon tart! The desserts here should not be overlooked, it s definitely for those who do not have a sweet tooth

Great food always no faulting that, below par on the atmosphere as the heating was way too high. the attention from staff was not sufficient, for such a high end restaurant. Been here a few times, table spacing is bordering invasion of personal space and the vibrations from kitchen ventilation didnt seem to be going away(sitting upstairs).Shame i wont be going back as the vibe is rather pretencious and seems to be lacking the authentic chinese restaurant vibe. Staff seem a little lost in there i seen a chef pondering the meaning of life the whole time at the rear kitchen, im sorry to give this review but i believe the brand of yuatcha has slipped somewhat in brand consistancy is there new management?

It's getting easier to walk in, maybe because hipster foodies have long moved on. However the food can be variable these days. Of my last three meals one was ok, one was poor and the most recent outstanding. I'll continue to eat here and am pleased the place has moved beyond fashion but be warned, Yauatcha is less reliable than in former days.

What a pleasant surprise! It s been very long I have had good Chinese in London. This place is great. The food is great, non-pretentious and quick service. We sat in the basement and we could see a glimpse of kitchen. Please keep some room for dessert. The desserts are very good.

The dim sum is great, but comparable with other places in Chinatown and a lot more expensive. The decor is more modern & shiny than most Chinatown places so it's a good spot if you want good Chinese but not in a dodgy looking restaurant. It did seem that many people were there on lunch meetings or similar.
Service was fine.
The dessert selection looks incredible, but the 2 cakes we sampled (Pumpkin gingerbread & Fig mascarpone) were a bit bland, cream overpowering other flavors.

Initially had a bad experience, having ordered a cake, going to pick it up and finding it hadn't been made due to an error. However the lengths the staff went to to get me the cake, even hand delivering it to my front door in north London three hours later and the cake being amazing, I cannot fault them for customer service or quality.

Although the food is good (especially the dim sums, place speciality) and the stuff was nice and kind, the overall experience was bad. Starting with the loud noise coming from the people, the DJ music that does not fit the place and the very uncomfortable seating. Also, service was very slow (which gives you time to think about all these things).

Price : expecting 50% more than usual dimsum dish. Good news is : you get what you paid.

Steam dumpings range : it's nice but not standout.

Puff range : venison puff is must-order dish, we also ordered duck pumpkin ball, creative presentation, we love new take of old dim sum spirit !

Mushroom salads sounds boring but it's not the case here, soooo Good!

Desserts range : nice and some interesting flavours there such as peanuts butter macaroon, above average.

Overall, it's the place I'll go again and bring friends.

Surprised by the whole experience, we were expecting nice dimsum but it turns out very impressive !

This is a very fun place with a great selection of dim sum and amazing puddings. However, we had one of the recommended menus and the beef and chicken was just really poor quality meat- quite chewey and fatty. Would probably go again but not sure would pick the menu.

The food is delicious, and the idea of lean porridge with preserved eggs and salted egg yolk is great. But the service attitude was really bad, and the waiters started to ridicule the customer's character directly because of the problem of swiping the card.

Good modern Chinese in the heart of London Soho

I arrived without reservation and they gave me a table but with great reluctance: you have to get up in an hour.

The site is beautiful, modern, minimalist. Waiters very friendly and helpful. They have a multitude of DimSum, with what I like !!!

I ordered a couple of beers, a few steamed shrimp pork and shuimai dimsum, a steamed shrimp har gau (hakao), a breaded duck puff, some Shanghai flatbread dumplings, and some fried rice noodles with shrimp.

Very good food, very fine and rich dimsum, both steamed, grilled or fried. The noodles a little spicy, rich.

Food and service "fair" rather than "poor", but still overall I'd describe this place as OK but overpriced. I much prefer Royal China or Joy King Lau for dim sum. The vegetarian options just really weren't that inspiring. Also I was irritated they had a big long wine list but no sake / rice wine. I really don't believe grape based wine belongs with Chinese food.

Really average, had much better Dim sum elsewhere - even if elsewhere stretches to Hong kong & Macau, still it's London and you expect a comparable standard especially for the price you pay here. One item we had we didn't like at all and made us feel queezy. Unfortunately even the Sweet & Sour pork was disappointing, dry and not enjoyable. Also they ask if you'd like water, we said Sparkling please and they pour you VOSS the world's most expensive bottled water! - very cheeky. I really wanted to like it but it just isn't that great.

Ambient and dining area is very quiet and comfortable. Staff service were Okay. The Dim Sum is on par with many other best dimsum place i tried in Malaysia, Taiwan and Singapore. Price is on the high side, but that is to be expected. Highly recommended.

WOW. Best Dim Sum I have ever eaten. I enjoyed this restaurant so much I went back despite wanting to try many different restaurants while in London. Firstly the food is unparalleled. It is like nothing you have had before. Instead of giving recommendations for specific dishes, I recommend just "going for it." If it looks good, it will be good. Secondly the vibe and ambiance is amazing. It is just a cool looking space. Finally, save room for desert. You will not be disappointed.

A very interesting Asian restaurant, sun sun are delicious and you will recommend it after having a taste!
It is rather chic as a setting and the cuisine is very modern, we see that it is really sought after and the flavors are there to testify.
The desserts are also really good which also deserves to be indicated because sometimes in Asian restaurants it lacks the touch of sweetness to finish the meal and there is really a very nice step not to be missed!

We have been a regular diners here for over 6 years, pre Michelin star. We took friends here today for a Christmas celebration. The service, which is usually impeccable, was very average to poor. No coats were taken and the waitress was obviously new as she wasn't up to speed on the dishes. Our favourite dish is the tea smoked ribs which were served cold, not even luke warm. Such a disappointing finish to otherwise good food. I was very surprised to find out they still have a Michelin star, there was nothing very special about the experience to set it self from any other restaurant in China town. Our seat was torn and patched, the crockery on the table was dirty and food placed on table with no explanation. Not Michelin standard at all but Michelin prices. Lift your game!

The food is incredibly good. The service was very friendly and helpful. The menu is also happy to be explained and helped with the selection. This restaurant is definitely worth a visit if you are in London. It is important to mention that you should reserve. The restaurant has two floors. The small desserts catch the eye on the upper floor. Highly Recommended.

Ruined our last meal in London and the last meal of 2013! I used to go all the time a few years back but this will be my last.. for sure. We ordered water, beers and then food. We got (after a long wait) food , water and at the end of our meal.. beers!! The waitress was annoyed to be reminded of our order even though we clearly been forgotten. One dish had a hair in it! That was the final straw. The manager would surely like some feedback and take action? Nope. The manager, Nubia, came at a leasurly pace, was irritated to be disturbed and did not see anything wrong. No action was taken or gesture was offered. I would not recommend this place and will not go again.

Yauatcha would be a very good morning tea restaurant even in Guangzhou, with prawn cheung fun being the highlight of the meal.

However the tea (high mountain oolong) we got is not fresh and is probably from half a year ago, or it's not the first brew. The other disappointment is that only disposable chopsticks are provided instead.

I come here all the time, I love the food, it's great to order a selection to share with friends and try new things each time. The atmosphere is good prices are very reasonable for the standard of food that you get.

Don't hand over your coats

Will start with the positive, the food and ambiance was great but service terrible. They took our coats which we assumed would be put in a cloakroom, however when it was time to leave no one could find them. Waited for about 20 minutes while they searched for our coats only to discover they'd dumped them within the dining area next to people eating. Staff barely apologised. Many other peoples' coats left lying in odd places in the restaurant where anyone could take them.

What there was of the food we had here was fine to poor. Combined with really terrible service by waiters who weren't wearing their masks properly and were getting far too close, plus the tawdry, tinsley atmosphere which seems to make the place half-club half-restaurant the place leaves you thoroughly disappointed.
