By far my wife and I favourite restaurant. We always come here for special occasions and when we want to treat ourselves. Prawn bean curd Cheung fun is amaaazzing. Aromatic duck with the hoisin sauce is delicious

'just' bought a bunch of cakes for takeout. Cakes were really beautiful and delicious. Packaging also very stylish & professional. Can't wait to go back there for a meal next time.
I've only come here once and dont think I will go back. It is pretty pricey,Super modern setting, delicious food. The lychee martini while waiting for our table was a great start. We ordered a dozen small plates, including all three shu mai which were our favorite. Singapore noodles were very good as was the baby bok choy. Vegetable congee was a new taste for us. So glad we tried this Yelp hot spot.nothing really stood out to me. Just overpriced, but very unique hotpot.
A perfect Michelin star experience. From starters to dessert could not be happier. Being vegetarian and getting such amazing options has made me like this more. Should return soon
All quite good the truth, finally I go to a different Chinese and with spectacular flavors. the problem perhaps too much posture. Watch out for desserts.
Amazing food here and perfect for special occasions particularly due to a fairly expensive menu depending on meal choices. Drinks are very expensive, however sometimes they have a set-menu available which is very reasonable!
Ladies and gents the food is ok. But the service gets sour when your don't follow their rules. As a paying guest they tried to turf me out after 1.5 hours. It's pretty expensive and I have no issue paying the money for good food. But its not worth being ridiculed because they have another booking. I wanted to eat more and would have probably paid more than the table after me. Oh well, is it really worth it? Nah go to hakkasan
If you are in China, the taste of this restaurant is just normal. But you are in west. This restaurant is not the west person taste Chinese restaurant (I think you know what I mean). It is a Chinese taste Chinese restaurant. Even it is little expensive but it worth. Seafood dumpling soup taste quite good. Highly recommend by a Chinese who living in west few years. Really miss Chinese food.
Food is good, though did not exceed my expectation. The stir fry beef seems a bit overpriced. Also the waiting time is really long. We waited for 40 minutes between two courses and had to just sit there feeling very bored. Not sure whether I will come back again.
Well, it is certainly not an ordinary Chinese restaurant. If you want to eat real Chinese food, don t come here. They don t have proper beer either. The service is ok. Music is loud so you need to shout to speak.
The food is absolutely amazing and the service is really good as well. It has definitely become one of my favorite restaurants in London. The crispy duck and kung pao chicken are so delicious. a but in the pricey end but most definitely worth the price
Probably the best-executed dish of the dozen or so we had was the prawn cheung fun, which exemplifies Yauatcha - well done classics at double the price of Chinatown! The patisserie is a little more unusual and does good cakes too - the fig mascarpone is lovely.
Beautiful! Restaurant with sophisticated Chinese food, maybe a little expensive, but it really deserves a lot ... You must also book a few weeks in advance!
Incredible food let down by poor service. I have been to Yauatcha many times but was disappointed the last couple of visits by slow and unorganised service. Mains not arriving together and waiting 20 mins for a glass of wine should not acceptable at a Michelin starred restaurant.
If you are willing to overlook the service issue, the food is delicious and set menus are reasonable. Order the edamame truffle dumplings.
Dim sum and noodles were good but the room was too noisy with loud music constantly played (like a bar/club) to be able to relax and enjoy the food and the company. Perhaps better for a quick lunch or a hen party...
A Japanese restaurant, a beautifully designed place, excellent and varied food, however, did not give the 5 star food that was too sugary and slightly inaccurate, probably compared to parallel restaurants in London. We booked a place in advance, it was a smart act, because the restaurant has an extensive sympathetic audience and is a full time sauce
Great premium asian food. Excellent service and nice drinks. But reservations only go for 2 hours. Nice place and atmosphere + you are paying for quality vs quantity of food
I booked a table for two stating that it is for birthday. On the arrival we were taken downstairs and sat at a table squeezed between two groups of 6 and 9. Immediately, we asked for a different table but were informed that none is available. Fair game as it was extremely busy due to Chinese New Year. However, if one is booking a table in advance one could hope that a Michelin star restaurant will take the occasion under consideration. Not this one though.
Ambience: It was very loud and busy think Waterloo station at rush hour loud or hall of arrivals at Heathrow loud. I couldn t hear the waitress and any serious conversation with my partner was out of the question. It was very hot as well. Within minutes I knew this is going to be a very bad experience and only exceptional food and service could be Yauatcha s saving grace. Hope for a happy ending here? None, unfortunately.
Service: grumpy and sour. I get it it was busy, they were tired. However, you see, should I go to my office and show some attitude I would be shown the door quickly. If you can t handle busy times at your workplace take my advice and leave. Surely this is not the right career for you.
Food: Now I am not Chinese but I like my dim sum. I frequently visit other London establishments serving this sort of dishes and travel to Hong Kong fairly often where I eat it almost on daily basis. I know a good dim sum. One could say it is one of my favourite sort of food. This is not it and the biggest shock is that this restaurant has been given a Michelin star where there are at least two other places in London that come to my mind which make better dim sum. We ordered 6 baskets and the only memorable one was three style mushroom cheung fun. Dim sum staple pork and prawn shui mai had plenty of pork in it but no prawn at all, in any form. Spicy pork Szechuan wonton with peanut was completely bland. Literally, for the first time in my life, I ate something that was completely devoid of flavour. I kid you not this is quite an achievement. However, the worst offender was served under the name of vegetable Shanghai dumpling. Now avoid this one at all cost. It was extremely greasy and the dough was thick and chewy. As if someone made their first attempt of making deep fried gyoza. Disgusting. The rest was average and not even worth mentioning.
Drinks: We ordered one each. Though the flavour profile of both cocktails was good the amount of alcohol in them was on a very stingy side.
The meal didn t last 45 minutes and as soon as we were done we asked for the bill. They brought a small birthday macaroon that was tasty but it was already extremely awkward it was clear we wanted to leave as quick as possible.
I know this place has got a lot of great reviews. I personally think they got too big and popular and clearly are victim of their own success. Take my advice or leave it save your money and time and go somewhere else. Definitely don t book for any special occasions. A Michelin star restaurant this is not.
Shockingly bad very slow service with no apology - so say manager came to rectify the issue and didn't, clearly had no customer service skills or care/idea how to rectify. Food was poor - I'd get better at my local Chinese takaway - shame this place has gone down hill with inexperienced staff who don't appear to care or enjoy their job - waste of time and money.
The 2 of us went for lunch on a Friday. We were seated downstairs which was very dark and moody. Upstairs is lighter and more airy.
- Steamed and fried dim sum - Tofu with Cloud Mushroom - Pak Choi - Rice - Chocolate Pebble dessert to finish
We shared this set and ordered an additional Sweet & Sour Pork and the Seafood Black Truffle Dumplings. The tofu was a little too sweet for me but the dim sum was all lovely. Next time I will order just lots of dim sum.
I had the Mandarin & Chilli Non Alcoholic Cocktail which was absolutely delicious.
The downside was that the tables were way too close together. It was uncomfortable to be that close to the people next to me. If you re sitting on the sofa side and you want to get out, you would need to be pretty slim to do so. The other thing was it was so loud, we could barely hear each other talk. If they had less tables crammed in and the tables were more spaced apart, it may solve this problem.
But overall it was a very nice lunch and I would come again.
Delicious dim sum and great cocktails. I have yesterday lunch time, I love to come back again with my family for dinner. My favourite dim sum scallop .prawn bean curd Chung fun, venison puff.har gou ,king crab dumpling ,,duck salad. And I try 2 great cocktail lemonberry martini and szechuan margarita i love them. Thank you mamun and Carlotta for recommend me lovely cocktail, I get fast class service from you guys see you soon ......
Tasty food, great service and reasonably priced. Why only 3 stars then? My gf and I could barely hear each other, the tables are far too close to each other! If you're looking for a romantic meal then do NOT go here. If you're in a party of More
The red oil is delicious Order every time I went there several times, but every time I didn t make an appointment The dishes are exquisite But not very authentic Sichuan food
The food is actually okay for the most part but it's overall a terrible experience if you're expecting actual dim sum. Waiters don't know what they're doing with the food, tea isn't on tap like it needs to be, condiments are mediocre and vegetarian options are an afterthought (don't get the veggie duck). And wooden chopsticks don't work with steamed dumplings - there's a reason it's not done.
Update today 13/08/2019: food is always amazing, a bit disappointed on the service which drags down the place.. we had to ask to have new clean plates when we had a lot of soy sauce from our dumplings and obviously we had to use new ones for the duck pancakes. Also, we weren't given any alternatives for what we can order based on some dishes we liked from the previous menu. The reply was like: we don't have it anymore... ok, I won't order any--- thanks!.....
December 2017: Went there yesterday for my Bday. I dine in here from time to time because I love the food. I got quite dissapointed that after getting an apology for our noodles getting delayed in serving ( which is understandable for a Sat evening) I got a macaron as a Bday house treat........... ...... one macaron with a candle on a massive happy bday plate. Maybe I was expecting smth more judging from what other restaurants serve complimentary for Bdays... anyway.. next year I'll be def celebrating in another one :))
