Total Disregard for YOUR Property - Disgraceful!
Total Disregard for YOUR Property - Disgraceful!
The following is a copy of an email sent to eBay, regarding the Global Shipping Programme, which appears to be "operated" - and I use the term loosely, by WnDirect - The Final Mile, once your parcel is in the U.K.
All the information referred to is of course (due to eBay's own procedures), verifiable:-

Hello eBay Customer Services
I feel that I need to make you aware of a serious issue, connected with the Global Shipping Programme.
It is an issue that needs to be looked into, both for the sake of eBay and for it's sellers and buyers.
Sensibly, it was originally sent by the seller, via USPS using a tracked and insured service.
It was "delivered" buy a courier WnDirect - it was left on our doorstep - we have no porch.
It was clearly visible to anybody passing by, but luckily it was not stolen.
During the previous week we had experienced both rain and snow.
Luckily the weekend had remained dry.
It was left there on a Friday and remained there Friday, Saturday and most of Sunday - until we returned home.
There had been no prior notification of when to expect delivery. Alternative arrangements could have been made.
This item is an expensive watch - just left on a doorstep!!!
There is the "WnDirect- Final Mile", courier name on the package and a number of labels with reference numbers, for the parcel's onward journey, in the U.K.
The "top label" for delivery, from Stoke On Trent, has written on it - in a very small font, "Leave in a Safe Place if Nobody Available" - presumably, this is printed on ALL these labels?
It CERTAINLY does not refer to any prior arrangements made by the courier, with either the seller or the buyer!
An exposed doorstep is a safe place ?????
When the seller goes to the trouble of packaging the item well and providing a premium delivery service, it is ludicrous, that once in the U.K. it is treated with such disrespect.
U.K. couriers have, for a long time, had a reputation of "not giving a damn" and it is a reputation that they have earned through behaviour like this.
What person, with an ounce of common sense, would leave a valuable parcel exposed to the elements and for all to see?
I do hope that you, eBay, are able to trace the source of the problem because such neglect and disrespect of other people's property is unacceptable.
