White Oaks Conference Resort & Spa Review

If you want a treat ... a real treat and wish to feel like you're on vacation somewhere very far away this is the place for you. From booking to checking in and staying you will find everything top notch from the people to the facility. The food is great as are the amenities. If you go with high expectations expect them to be met.

We had a really good time at this resort. The service was outstanding. The bed was so comfortable.
The perks (wine and chocolate covered strawberries) were excellent!
We will be back!

Warm greetings upon arrival to hotel; quick check-in; long walk to elevator (lobby elevator only goes to fifth floor, and you must walk quite far away to reach the sixth and seventh floors). Rooms were big and clean, pillows and beds were comfy. Bathroom needs updating, as do hallways and the room in general. Pretty quiet, though could hear other guest doorways opening and closing, and water running through pipes through the night. We were on the fifth floor for reference.

I have been to 2 events here in the last couple of weeks - what a fantastic venue with delicious catering and impeccable service!

It was our first time visiting White Oaks and will not be the last for sure. The facility is very well maintained. There were hand sanitizers at every entrance and elevator and signs for social distance. Our room was spacious. The beds and linens were very comfortable to sleep in. We love the sports club and pool. It's hard to find safe and clean gyms these days so we made full use of the sport club. Our room package came with dining credits so we used for breakfasts at the LIV. The lovely ladies brought us complementary smoothies before our dishes came in, a nice surprise for start of day. For the shopaholics, this resort is across the street from Niagara outlet mall.

Reservations easy. Rooms and amenities as expected. Squash families fantastic.

Nice place to stay. Rooms very nice and staff were excellent. Very Friendly and helpful. I was cycling in the morning and they stored my bike and filled my water bottles with ice and water in the morning. Nice place to stay.

Great little getaway. Clean resort with excellent customer service and conveniently located with outlet mall directly across the street. Will definitely be back. The gym was great and the food at Liv and Play Restaurants was very good. The customized smoothie from Grow (upstairs from the gym) was the best smoothie that I've ever had!!

Staff is friendly and helpful. Facility is clean and inviting. Breakfast buffet is excellent, especially the omelet station. Rooms are clean and beds are comfortable. Great highway access and good location for box store shopping. Not really in Niagara on the Lake but close by.

Always a warm and relatively friendly place, especially for squash tournaments. The only downside is the surly attitude of the long time (older) barman, whom customers often comment about. It would be so easy for him to smile, be more welcoming and pleasant.

Booked a spa weekend with my girl friends and we were really excited to go to White Oaks as we read great reviews. The place is actually quite dated and beds are small. Our heater wasn't working so someone came to fix it and ended up replacing the whole unit - felt like it was due for maintenance and they expected to replace it. Once he replaced the heater a bunch of flies (8-10!) entered the room and they had to send a maintenance person to vacuum all of them! He said they were probably inside the old heater and came out when they removed it. All this took place past midnight. Clearly it was not a restful and relaxing weekend we were hoping for. The food at Liv was great, the spa was good, and the location across the outlet malls is perfect but I will most likely not return to stay at this hotel.

Very nice facility. Many different ways for one to occupy themself (squash,gym, racquet ball,spa,...). For those wishing to shop there are several stores across the street.

Received very welcoming and generous hospitality from all the staff members during our entire stay at the resort.
Additionally, there are 2 restaurants in the hotel itself. PLAY Urban cafe - have some good vegan and vegetarian options. Whereas, LIV Restaurant is one of the finest to dine-in. Both restaurants have best service and amazing food. Make sure to have a reservation in advance for both of this restaurant.
Hotel stay was great. Rooms were clean and beds were comfortable. The staff members really care about giving you the best experience. If possible get a room on 7th floor (tower section) They are quite new.

We booked our wedding here, the service has been great so far.

Stayed in 2 different rooms... one room was poorly renovated. The second room looked slightly better. Both washrooms were very dated. The first room air conditioner sounded like I was turning over a pick up truck that had sat in a field for 30 years.

My husband sent me here for a mini getaway from my two toddlers. For the two nights I was there, I truly enjoyed myself. I wasn't able to take advantage of all the amenities, but my overall stay was excellent. Will defiinitely go back.

The place is great, the spa services are fantastic, and the stuff is super.

One of the best places to visit in the Niagara region, for accommodations, to eat, or play. State of the art work out facilities, tennis courts, delicious food, and top notch service. White Oaks is incomparable.

Experience with staff is top-notch. Conference centre is nice & catering was great. Hotel rooms are quite out of date but have everything you need.

Great venue for Business conference and the food is amazing......it's like a cruise ship on land.

First time at White Oaks. Fantastic Resort/Hotel! Friendly staff, lovely clean rooms, incredibly soft beds! Diplomat Suite is gorgeous, spacious and good value for a family. Had dinner at Play and the food was delicious. Pool and hot tub are a nice size and very clean. Did not use the spa or club during this visit. Had booked a room in Niagara Falls the next night but cancelled it and re-booked for a second night at White Oaks! We will be back again! Thanks White Oaks!

In all the travelling I've done this resort stands out the most for best service and the most polite and helpful staff. Each and every day the staff greeted me by name. That's never happened before. I was so impressed with the service here. It was well above my expectations. The rooms were nice and clean. The food was greqt. There is a giant outlet mall right across the street.

Absolutely love. The staff are amazing. Rooms are gorgeous. We stay when back in Niagara and just love the location. Easy to visit the wineries, easy to shop and easy to go into St. Catharines.

Very nice and clean resort/hotel. Love that they have free parking. It is right across from the outlet. The swimming pool is nice and never be overcrowded.

A wonderful experience from the moment you walk into the hotel you are greeted with a warm welcome. My husband and I have 9 month old twins and needed the quiet rest for our date day at the spa. The spa has an amazing atmosphere of rest and relaxtion. Everyone at the spa is so helpful and kind. I love how every detail is set out and carried through even to the point of how the cleaning staff executes thier daily duties. Today was excellent for my husband and I. We got some quiet time and just rest! Definitely recommend this place!!

Came in for a late lunch in PLAY this weekend with a group of 9. We were a little late for our reservation, but PLAY was very accommodating. Service and food and was great, Julia P was patient and fast. Perfect for our after wine tour re-fuel. I always recommend the sweet potato fries!

Went to White Oaks for the first time to hit up the Spa. The facility was clean and nice. Very much uodated. The spa itself was very nice and has a good vibe. The person who did my massage was really good and definitely got into the deeper side where I needed it as I haven't been to a massage in a long time. I must say all the staff there were very well trained and very welcoming. I would definitely recommend and I know I will be back.

The purpose for our visit was to play in a squash tournament. The location is great for this type of event with 8 courts. It was a fun weekend. The whiteoaks staff and squash organizers were very helpful and made the experience great.

Event was well organized and event room was beautiful.

We LOVE White Oaks and have stayed here several times. The staff work so hard to make your stay great...and great it was...again!!! Hope to be back again soon!

Play restaurant has some nice vegan options, but their execution needs work. The "beef" sandwich was excellent, but the quinoa salad had no taste what soever. The vegan desert was so cold that even after 20 minutes we could only cut it with a knife and couldn't eat it. Lastly the decaf was weak and wattery. We've been here before and had an excellent meal so perhaps they were having an off night.

My family stayed here, but I came for dinner and breakfast. A tad overpriced, but the service is EXCELLENT! Would come back and stay here next time.

The Club at White Oaks is awesome! Amazing classes with great, upbeat and motivational instructors. It has runied all other gyms for me. The squash courts are great, and with so many classes and groups available its easy to get involved and meet new people!

Neat environment, great service! Would recommend for a work meeting. Short drive to the falls from the hotel and great shopping across the street!

Stayed here for my birthday for one night. Service was very friendly. Had diner at the Liv restaurant that is apart of the facility and waiting staff was excellent.

We had called the property about an early check in around 2 pm and they said, no sorry, you need to come for 4 pm. We spent our time accordingly, waiting for 4 pm and once arrived, found out our room was not ready yet (cleaning due to Covid seems a weak excuse as we noticed many other people also were told their rooms were not ready). We were offered drink coupons to use at Play which we did, and told the room would be ready at 5 pm. We waited and waited for the call that never came, We called back the front desk at 5:20 pm and were told, oh YES! your room is now ready - we were annoyed as we should not have to follow-up on this ourselves. Once in our room, it was clean but VERY DARK and although the bathroom looked modern and renovated, once we took a shower the floor by the glass wall was flooded. Not a pleasant start. We were in a hurry to get to our dinner reservations which were in 30 minutes so we cleaned up the water and left. The next day it happened again. Seems the caulking is not done properly. So we were always left with soaking wet towels on the bathroom floor with nowhere to store them. This is not a luxury experience.... We were also told that due to the inconvenience of our room being ready late that we would be given a credit of $30 towards the facility/resort fee. As I do my banking this morning, I see that credit was never applied so I had to call the resort again. This kind of follow-up should not be necessary. It leaves a poor taste in our mouth and I don't think we will return to this property again...

We arrived at W.O.C.R.S, and were greeted pretty quickly, the concierge was very professional, and met all my expectations. <br/>The room we got was spotless, it was big, very spacious, bright and has everything you need. Love the products they use as well. The bed was so comfortable, great linens, and firm mattress. <br/>The resort is beautiful, the gardens are clean, colourful and relaxing to walk through. I like the fact they do not spray pesticides on their lawns, so it was nice to walk barefoot on the grass.<br/>The pool area is very nice, and whirlpool is quite spacious.<br/>The fitness facility is a full-fledged gym. I was impressed that I could do any exercise I needed to do. The change rooms and steam room area are clean and very tidy. They have squash courts, and amazing tennis courts, although I do not play, it makes me want to. <br/>The resort is nice to walk around and explore what it offers. They really do pay attention to detail.<br/>At the concierge, I asked for info on bike trails, and Jamie and Lorna were beyond helpful..they were happy to serve me, great smiles, amazing attitude, were like friends..they knew exactly what I had to do, and practically planned my bike trip in 5 min. I was so happy. <br/>The front desk told me not to worry about my bikes, they would be taken care of when I return, and the staff working at the door at the time of my return were also very pleasant, helped me get my bikes out of the car as well.<br/>The spa's setting was very relaxing, and the service was excellent, the front desk was very friendly. They offer tea and apples to guests.<br/>The Play restaurant was very good, we ate there 2 evenings, and the service was exceptional. Andrea was absolutely amazing, you can tell she loves her job. The food was also great, along with all the desserts as well. I would eat there again.<br/>I really loved that after checking out, we were able to use all the facilities for the rest of the day. They really know how to make you feel comfortable.<br/>Across the street you have the outlet mall, serving food and great coffee, along with many different stores, very convenient. The only downfall, is that the hotel is located right along the QEW, and you always hear the sound of cars.

Great weekend spent there. The service is fantastic, everyone is very attentive and extremely polite. We ate at LIV for breakfast and dinner. It was very good, I think too expensive for what you get though. But on a package with a credit it's good. Had a facial and it was great, so happy at how soft my skin felt and they didn't upsell hard on the products. I ended up buying some product because it wasn't very expensive and I needed an exfoliant anyways.

Club is nice but not at the level of lifetime fitness

White Oaks has always been a favourite destination for my wife and I because of the immaculate, always up to date, and extremely comfortable rooms. The great facilities and dining can always be counted on plus my favourite breakfast anywhere any time. Most of all I appreciate the friendliness and and service culture in the White Oaks team, of whom many have been there for years. We visited in August an although there were clearly differences because of the current health environment, the things that matter most are still very much there. All the details we are getting used to when we go anywhere in the pandemic era were handled with the thoroughness and tactfulness I have come to expect from this first class property.

Exceptional customer service, room was very clean but had a rustic smell. Hotel was very clean and they followed the sanitizer and social distancing rules very well.
