I would like to take Ashley Thomas for all your help and hard work and helping me understand website app on phones. This was most helpful for someone that s not computer savvy. She was very patient and help walk me through the paces so I didn t make any mistakes when I make future payments.

I've had Westlake as my auto loan company for year...

I've had Westlake as my auto loan company for years now and due to covid-19 I was out of work. I'm currently behind on payment since my income was temporarily nothing. I called to let them know when my job was reopening and possibly differ April and May payments to the end of my loan being back on track after I started working again. The woman I spoke to told me there was nothing she could do to guarantee my car wouldn't be repossessed over night and there was currently a tow truck out to pick it up. I can't believe that with the entire Nation being in a crisis they aren't willing to meet their customers in the middle. We aren't asking for anything free, we would literally be paying those payments back at the end of our loan. I'm really disappointed. This is a family vehicle. They don't seem to be looking out for their customers like so many other companies have during this difficult time.

It s been horrible, I paid off my car and traded it in, however westlake has given me the run around about my lien release being emailed to me so I can provide it to new bank for my new car and it s almost been 2 weeks and the new bank is talking about returning my contract because I can t get ahold of anyone who knows what the hell they are talking about or doing at this so called place of business. Crazy!!

Westlake Financial is a great place to get a loan. Although this is my first time getting a loan they made it very smooth and uncomplicated. When times got tough they worked with me. Approved me through one of their partners only for that partner to deny me prior to funding. Partner tells me to reach back to RF to follow up. Reached back out to them with no response. Two weeks later I m being sent a denial letter. Got approved elsewhere with better terms than what they offered me. This company is a big SCAM and Waste of time.

The customer service is great in all honesty everyone I spoke to was very helpful and kind.. the only problem is the companies shady practices.. gave me pre approvals for cars just to flat out deny me.. other creditors replied with what they d accept to make the deal work.. not with westlake.. their pre approval is just a scheme to rack up referral fees.. ended up getting the car I want through another lender for a better rate so don t mistake this comment as someone who s just upset.. take it as a review from someone who simply wanted a pre approval before shopping

I was very upset with Westlake Financial due to the calls early mornings, so I put a no calls on my number. I had 500.00 stolen from me in September and needed help from WF. The rep wasn t there for me. Today I spoke with Leslie Robles and she assisted me to elevate my view of WF. She was very helpful and knowledgeable. Now I feel good about Westlake Financial. I can honestly say that I had the worst customer service experience of 2020 with RFG. Everything started off well and Brian took his time and answered all my questions. I felt comfortable in moving forward with the loan application. Once their underwriter Kristi got involved in the process, everything went downhill. She came on the phone with a very condescending and demeaning tone.

Unfortunately I can not give this review 0 stars as a person that unfortunately financed my car with them I highly recommend you to not use them for anything. I repeat do not finance anything with these people. The worst costumer service I ve ever had to deal with. 0 compassion 0 communication 0 professionalism. I called into customer svc to give the representative my reference number for my car payment I made thru money gram. I spoke to Brandon and he was phenomenal. I didn't quite understand all the numbers and terminology of my contract. I was asking Brandon a lot of questions, not one time did he try to hurry up and rush me off the phone or tell me the wrong answers to my questions. He actually answered all of my questions and me me feel more at ease. He explained to me in detail and was very patient with me. I wish I could get Brandon every time I call in to CSV. Brandon, I just want to say thank you for being patient, not hanging up the phone and not just telling me anything to rush me off. Because of you, I now truly understand everything I'm suppose to know. Thank you, Thank you, Thank you soooooooo much.

I have seen a lot of reviews stating problems with getting the title.
Any advice??? It's been a month since my car has been paid off..... and I have always made my payments on time, if not early.
I have called multiple times and have been told that it is sent, they sent it but to the wrong address.....All the same bullshit.
I would hate to have to pay for a lawyer but I feel like I do not have any other options

I should not have to be looking out my window ever...

I should not have to be looking out my window every 10 minutes to make sure my car is there. As a person who experienced COVID-19 and have been in quarantine for the last month and a half, not working, no assistance, and no stimulus check, I should not have to worry about my car being repossessed. Before I got Covid, my job did some major cuts with its staff, I m a CNA so I work with a lot of elderly people. I ve been trying to find work but no luck, I even let them know that I was out of work and asked for an extension or even a deferred payment, they wouldn t work with me. I ve had this car be repossessed before, I was in a wreck that put me out of work for 5 months. They took my car in the middle of the night even after knowing the situation. At the time, I had my own apartment and was barely able to pay rent after my accident. When my car was taken, I sold everything I could sell to get the account paid up because I needed my car, I was even willing to live in because I didn t know anyone where I was staying at the time. I got the account paid up, but the VERY next day they sent it to an action lot 6 hrs away from me, but that didn t even stop me from getting it back eventually. Fast forward to now 6 months later, I know how this company is, I know they really don t care about regular people and the struggles we go through. So I know being in the middle of a pandemic means absolutely nothing to them. None of us asked for this, so its difficult knowing that you might lose things that you worked so hard for all because of companies like this one. Some might think It s just a car but no, it s transportation when you have NONE, especially when you live in such a small town way outside of the city so ubering isn t convenient or cheap. I m pregnant right now, and afraid I won t be able to get back and forth to doctors appointments, find a better job when I m feeling better, or even be able to make a trip to city to get necessities. It s heart breaking, terrifying, and nerve racking. I just want to get it refinanced but that s a little challenging right now. I don t see how this can be a thing, ESPECIALLY in the middle of a global pandemic.

Worst customer service ever my car was falsely towed due to them never processing a payment on my account and when I called to speak to a supervisor they refuse to get on the phone and after I attempted to pick up my car it had to be towed back to my home because my battery was dead because they left my keys in the ignition for 5 DAYS!!! This is a outrage of super poor customer service every last person I spoke with was rude and had not one care in the world due to the fact they messed up I'm still waiting for a call from a supervisor named Alex and my car still remains in front of my house broken if the problem is not fixed or if I'm not refunded some type of money due to the poor handling of my vehicle I'm calling my lawyer and I'm calling the police because this is an outrage

This place is a joke, I scheduled a payment and it came out 2 days early, and i only scheduled it because they harass me on the phone everytime i m a single day late (whitch doesn t do anything). Now i have to deal with overdraft fees from my bank. The rep did not try to escalate the issue to a higher up i had just as simple sorry i can t help you . And their website/app are completly busted. I just spoke with 2 agents and a supervisor about an extension due to loss of hours and wages. I have been making my payments through this pandemic, but this month is the worse. I asked all 3 people what are they doing for us customers who are suffering due to the pandemic. All they could offer was a payment arrangement! Are you kidding me?! How?! When I just told you that my hours are cut and I don t have the money to pay this month. How the heck do you expect me to still do a partial payment ? They don t care about the customers and none of them even showed a mustard seed of empathy!!! Then they said they will continue with the collection process and review the account for a repossession! Are y all that hard up for money that you would do this for the customer instead of empathizing and having a policy in place specific to customers who cannot make ends meet! I m livid!

Its a real shame there isn't a Zero Star option for this company. by far the worst bunch of crooks in finance. I bought a vehicle from one of there "Special Dealers" had nothing but issues for 2 weeks and the dealer assured me they would handle the issue, after 2 weeks of lies the dealer was out of business.

I Called and voluntarily returned the vehicle to Westlake Financial they waited almost 2 months to come get the vehicle to which I got stuck with a storage bill because they were supposed to get it from a public local area shop, not only did they stick me with a storage bill but they resold the vehicle at auction and still hit my credit as a charge off and 2 years later are still saying I owe them for a vehicle that they resold and recovered their cost.

Biggest bunch of crooks ever if you are in the market for a CAR and the Dealer or Finance dept mentions Westlake Run far and fast to get away.

"I don't get the negative reviews because if you make your payments on time they don't bother you but just like any other loan company or bank, if you don't they're going to get on you to get your payment made. They deal with a lot of high risk and second chance financing so I think a lot of the negative reviews stem from individuals that default on their loans."

Avoid this company at all costs, after giving approval on my Auto Loan, went to sign papers at Dealer, all of the sudden required more down, agreed to coming up with another 10% (now at almost 42%). Got call that they would finance, scheduled to go in on that Monday afternoon to once again sign papers, got to dealer and now Westlake wanted a copy of a paystub, no problem except did not have one on me, drove back home (hour away) sent a copy of latest paystub thought we were good. Waited for call telling me to come back in on approval the next day. Did not return Dealers inquiries, Finally 4 days after they had given approval, talked to Dealer and Westlake wanted a Bank Statement. Waited two more days and just got off phone with the dealer, wants the dealer to discount the car to 4,000 below lowest Blue book value. Needless to say Dealer can not discount that much since they were already below high Blue book( car was being sold for $3,000 below high blue book) when I inquired if putting more down to make their risk Liability to the point of the same as their required discounted price, was told they were demanding the dealer discount, does not matter how much I put down, they now would not finance if it was sold above the price they wanted. This Company makes up the rules as they go along. Beware of their shady practices, if you do get financed watch your statements closely, and do not be surprised if your balance increases even if you are on time and up to date with payments. I will REPEAT UNDER NO CIRCUMSTANCES WOULD I USE THIS COMPANY, IF YOUR DEALER SAYS WESTLAKE FINANCIAL TURN AND LEAVE!!!

After 35 payments with this company, and in the midst of a pandemic with people getting hours cut, I was declined to refinance my contract. I've never heard of such a thing. I don't qualify for covid relief so I'm not getting a check, but obviously Westlake doesn't care. I'm EXTREMELY disappointed and will be taking my business elsewhere.

I bought a car that was financed threw Westlake and on my part I did not get my tags so my car got impounded i will totally take blame for that.I called Westlake let them know my plans and told them a day by day play since my tags were 696 it would take me about a week for me to come up with the other 580.00 plus the 100.00 release fee from police they said ok I even went down to the lot where my car was being held and and gave them 100.00 so that they knew i was for sure planning on getting my car back well last thrusday 12/17 i went down to the lot where my car was being held and they told me Westlake came and picked up the veh 30 min before i got there. I called Westlake after being transferred to multiple departments and waiting on hold i got ahold of someone and they said the fees have not been uploaded to call back on Friday that is what i did and still no fees have been uploaded. They told me to call back on Monday so today is Monday now mind you the fees to get my car out was 780.00 they are now adding fees for repo and they took my veh to another city an hour away ****Nationwide Recovery Specialist***** and the reviews for this company is horrible.

I will never get an auto loan through this company again. They harass you 2 days prior to your bill being due and everyday that your late regardless of your commincation with them. Their reps are rude and the supervisors arent any better. My experience with Westlake has been great, I have had very helpful, courteous, good customer representatives. This month I was having some trouble with making a payment because of the lost of both my uncle and my son's father (having to assist with both funerals). I needed an extension for this month, although I didn't actually qualify, they was able to see what they could do and was very understanding of my situation. Cristal was very very sweet, very knowledgeable, helpful, and compassionate, worked really fast on getting me the information and getting the process going, thank you. I really appreciate how she and other representatives (sorry didn't get their names) was so understanding about what I and my family is going through. It's unfortunate that others didn't or haven't had the same great experience I've had since being with this company!! (4-15-17)

Do NOT EVER use this company. I bought my first car through a dealership who then had this company buy my loan at a WHOPPING 24% interest!! They never put this vehicle on my credit report and will not report it. So now I am a first time car buyer with high interest again.

This has been an insane nightmare and extremely frustrating experience. I ve called them about 50 times to get this put on my credit report, everyone giving me a different story. Telling me that my 5 faxes they can t read when they re 8.5 x 5.5 images I blew up for them, faxed from 4 different machines... then after sitting on hold forever later on the supervisior told me I could MAIL it in... which would of been great to know from the get go.

We all go through hard times and Westlake doesn t make you feel like there is no hope. I've dealt with other companies and have been brought to tears because I was simply going through.

Called in on March 11th. Asked for a payoff amount. Paid that amount during that conversation. Was told it could take up to 2 weeks to get out title. Well, 3 weeks later. No title. Logged into my account to find out I owe $23.00 more, because Westlake did not process my payment until the 18th. Called back on April 3rd. Spoke to an CSR who had to get his supervisor involved. Was told that they would zero the balance and send our title. Well here it is another week later and still no title and still showing a balance. Called back today and spoke to another CSR who was of no help, so I requested to speak with a supervisor. The CSR is turn hung up on me. I called back again immediately and once again asked for a supervisor only to continue to get the run around. My advise to anyone who is unfortunate enough to only get approval from Westlake Financial. Decline it. Do not give this company any business. I will be forwarding my dealings with Westlake not only to the BBB, but the Federal Trade Commission, and the I.R.S. into their business practices. What they are doing is criminal and should be investigated and have their business license revoked.

He calls me at my job twice, first to verify my employment which is fine, then hangs up, Calls me back 2 seconds later to do a phone interview. I have never had any problems or issues with Westlake Financial. Everytime I call they are very nice and provide great customer service. One time I was one day late, they helped me did not charge me any late fees they were great. I am very responsible with my payments and I can only assume people that say that they have bad customer service is because they are not making payments on time.

My husband and I have a car loan through Westlake and they're HORRIBLE. My statements are never accessible online, always saying the PDF is unavailable. When I call and ask for the statement to be mailed to me, I'm told they'll mail it that day and then never receive it. When they call you, they're extremely unprofessional and sound like they're calling from their living rooms. It's extremely loud and they're laughing and having other conversations while trying to speak to you. We called to see if we could get a loan extension due to an unexpected financial issue and they made us pay $50 to submit the extension and then told us it wasn't approved. They will call you multiple times, back to back, in a five minute period. They apparently don't communicate with each other because even when you talk to one person they'll call you again for the exact same thing. They're rude, they hang up on you, and they're the most unhelpful "customer service reps" ever. If you have literally any other option, I'd go with anybody else.

After calling this company with my mom 7 times it shows they do not train their staff nor care about customers. During this pandemic my mom who is over 60 and has a respiratory disease has chose to stay safe and take time off work. You can t pay bills if you aren t alive. Let s also be clear my mom has made every payment on time. We begin calling at the beginning of April to be proactive and request a extension. The first representative told us my mom couldn t get a 2 month extension she could get 1 month & went on to say because who s to say this virus want be gone tomorrow, next week or a few weeks. Very insensitive especially to a family who s already lost a dear friend to this disease. He went on to say we could do 1 month and if she needed another extension call back next month. I ask to be speak with a supervisor because he was very rude and insensitive. He placed me on hold and then transferred me to the automated system to make a payment on a then current account. I call back and got another person who transcend to their supervisor. The supervisor explained the agent was incorrect if I request a extension I can t call back the next month if this pandemic was still in place or for any reason. She went on to tell me I would need to request the 1 month extension before my account became due 4/20 because once 1 day late I couldn t get a extension. I ask her for corporate information she gave me the number to Human Resources. I ask if that was the correct number explaining most companies utilize HR for employees. She assured me HR handled customer complaints. I call and the voicemail gives options for employees. Frustrated I had then spoken with 3 people I didn t bother to call back that day.

4/19-20th I did call back remembering the supervisor earlier month told me to call before 1 day late. I spoke with a lady who said the company wasn t able to do a extension. I spoke with her supervisor who told me I could do a extension but the account needed to be 11 days past due to request it. She went on to say although there is a pandemic if the account isn t past due the extension would be denied. She let me know I would receive calls in between the 11 days but she would notate the account.

I received a call around 11 days late and ask that young lady if we could go ahead and request a extension. She said no. I went on to explain the 5 calls I had already had focusing on the last supervisor I spoke with confirming I needed to request the at 11 days late. She told me the supervisor wanted me to call back on 5/11 not at 11 days past due to process my extension request. extension

I called 5/11 and spoke with a gentleman who submitted my extension request. I completed a recording and he told me I would get a email to sign. I completed the electronic signature the same day. I checked the Westlake app through Thursday and still no update to account status so I called back. I talk to another guy who ask if I was told I needed to pay a fee. I explained no one had told me about a fee. The agent 5/11 ask if I could put anything down and I let him know I didn t have anything. I check the app Friday & Saturday but there were no updates. This morning, 5/17 I called and was told by a lady I had to pay $50 fee for extension to be completed. I explained my previous calls again. (I guess either notes aren t left or no one reads them) I told her I don t have $50 other than to overdraft my account which would cause another fee. The next thing out her mouth was are we using checking or debit. At this point I felt forced to pay and deal with the overdraft later if I could. On the recording she did I told her I felt forced to overdraw my account. I ask for corporate information and she placed me on hold. She refreshed our call once before just transferring me into the automated system.

The worst company do not have ethics or respect for customers, the staff is super bad spoken, apart from the fact that they believe they are the owner, they do not offer the customer or the slightest help, it is as if they were dealing with animals, caring for the animals because they do not owe them to give that treatment apart the interest in that company does not go down that is not a company they are public scammers they must give another type of customer service if they do not remove that customer service and I will not tire of saying how bad company they are

wish i could give 0 stars.. im trying to fixed my credit and it shows delinquent payment for june because i paid one day late. I had to wait for my unemployment to go in my account and as soon as it did i paid the full amount that was due plus an extra 250 because i wasnt sure with coronavirus if i would get enough unemployment the next month to pay the full amount.. i called to ask them to please fix it but the guy kept saying actually sir the payment was due on the 24 and you paid on the 25 that we cannot change the report.. every other place in the world is working with there clients during this pandemic but not Westlake financial.. i hope this gets there attention and they consider fixing this.. if not i will be Refinancing and leaving there company

Your better off refinancing with a better institution. If you happen to get your loan through them from a little dealership, move on quickly! Their call center sucks I ve had my loan with them for 3 years and I ve had nothing BUT ISSUES. I m finally making a change with a bank. Just pay your payments on time and get a better loan company!!!

If I could give this company zero stars I would! If you have any other options to finance your vehicle go elsewhere! This company has the worst customer service I ve ever experienced. I have paid my truck note via their automated system and they withdrew the money from my account but tried to tell me that I never paid. After sending my bank statements over 10 times to their fax number with proper documentation, They still claimed to have never received it. I feel that this company breaks the law. What a joke. Nobody can explain their interest system. I was told that they have a grace period and then that they don t have a grace period and then that they do have a grace period but they don t. None of their customer service agents are in America. I have paid my car note off over three months ago and it is still showing up on my credit report. This is the most unprofessional, ridiculous, disappointing company I have ever done business with! Run far far away from doing business with Westlake financial.

I purchased a car through Westlake and of course the interest was hi, which I was expecting. My issue with this company is how they want their money on time but lost my final payment. I repeatedly called requesting my title and kept getting the run around. Their customer service is a little on the low side due to them giving me different excuses when I called. They all need to be on the same page and correct the problem with misplacing titles and giving incorrect information about a customers account.

I did not want to give 1 star, but it was not an option for zero star. This company does not deserve a star. I paid off my car on April 4,2018. I called Westlake Financial in the middle of May, because there was a balance still showing on my credit reports. I was informed that it does take 30 days, but it can take up to 60 days. Customer service rep. stated I should call back the first of June, and that I can also call credit bureaus myself. I called all three credit bureaus and was told the last time Westlake Financial reported anything was in March. I checked my credit reports again on June 1st, and a balance was still showing. I waited until today June 6, 2018 to call Westlake Financial. I spoke with another customer service rep., and was told I should not be counting the weekends that this is a normal process that it might not be updated until July. So I asked July 2018, or July 2019. I told him this is not the first time I had a car finance, and this process is not normal. Maybe it is normal for Westlake Financial. My previous car, the financial company updated everything with credit bureaus within 30-45 days.
When I asked to speak with a manager, called got disconnected. In the future if I have to finance another car it will not be through Westlake Financial.
