I have personally been impacted by COVID and lost my job. There was a heavy weight on my shoulders about my monthly car payment. I called to find out available options about a payment deferment. Although they don't currently offer payment deferments the representatives that I spoke with were more than helpful. They provided me information about other options available and what would save me money in the end. Thank you to both Lorena and Lourie for your advice and knowledge.

I am currently financing my 01 Mustang GT through Westlake and have had nothing but great experiences. When I first got my car we were never late or if we were we would call to let them know. Recently, I was two almost three payments behind due to financial hardships with medical issues in my household and Westlake not once has threatened to take my vehicle or got rude with us. Every person I talked to was extremely helpful and caring. I cannot explain how grateful we have been for Westlake's patience with us and for their understanding of "life happens" basically. I recommend them to anyone looking to finance.

She assisted me with setting up auto pay as well as making sure I was able to have the extra payment amount too. She also made the experience more personal when we started talking about where we live and her visiting the states soon. I spoke with a gentlemen by the name of Pedro who offered me a solution to resolve my situation and keep my account in good standing. After our conversation i felt such a big relief and was able to put some focus on another area and rested very well that night. Would recommend Westlake to any one looking to finance a car. If I could give this company 0 stars I would. First off their customer service is awful. No one will help or address concerns and there doesn t seem to be a supervisor to speak to. I have worked in a customer oriented job for the last 12 years and I would have been fired for the way these people speak to their customers. They are not customer oriented in any way so do yourself a favor and steer clear of this horrid company. You don t need a loan that bad, trust me!

My car was paid off more then a month about they say they mailed out my title, then 2 weeks later not here, call in again and they said it was returned to them...they never actually sent it out. Now here I sit unable to get an answer from anyone other then they can try to mail it out again and I will have to wait another 2 weeks for it to get here. ARE YOU KIDDING ME!

Well,my husband was trying to deal with a payment Issue.First the lady name Brenda told him he was going to pay $1,000.00 one thousand dollars because he was late on his payments.He didn't even received a statement from them regarding his balance due or anyrhing.She couldn't hear him well over the phone .So I call and spoke with a English guy and he say he needs to pay $1,700.00 to remove him from the Repossession .So I don't understand why each Rep have different amounts and how come their system is different from one to another .
He can not afford over one thousand dollars.

A joke of a financial institution. Payments for my vehicle are continuously rejected and all there representatives have no idea what they are doing nor do they attempt to correct anything. Had to speak with multiple different people telling me my account information was incorrect while I'm at my bank confirming everything is correct. Finally after demanding a supervisor he determins first payments are to be made during a welcome call that I never received and now I must wait for my payment to be rejected again so I can call them for a first payment. Avoid this circus like the plague. Extreamly nervouse they will have anything to do with my vehicle ownership.

The supervisor I spoke with the other day now refuses to answer his line. A representative called me earlier today speaking gibberish demanding to speak to myself. After telling him multiple times I cant understand you and asking for information as to who is calling me and why, this man could only repeat his first name and demand to speak to me in a very aggressive and rude demeanor. Not once did he identify as west lake or give a reason for calling. And after reading your response on here to my review I absolutely feel like I am just being harrassed by incompetent crack heads. Daniel Hernandez, a manager of the bank told me he was going to refuse to assist me with my state to state title change. I moved to another state last year and I have sent them two official letters from my state DMV. Now I cannot get my registration for the next year unless I go through a third party vendor and pay three times the price. This is the worst form of customer service I have ever seen.

I looked up the phone number to get a Pay Off for Westlake and I see all these negative comments all about getting "Grace", "Leniency", and "Forgiveness" when paying your bills late. Ummm... Is this the a Joke? Pay your Mother Efen Bills when they are due and you won't have these issues. Pay your bills on time and have credit for Prime Lenders. Stay in your lane and stop living outside your means. They work great for sub prime financing for cars under $10k and even do prime credit and all bureaus in-between with a lower or Zero discount. Their F&I software is great for am independent dealer. It does everything and is user friendly. Fast funding. They can provide a top notch website cheap and they pull credit in their F&I system. I used all those features for 5 years while I owned a dealership.

This company is a joke, i have been paying my car for 18 months on time and no missing one payment, due to covid19 i call them 15 days earlier so they can put april payment at the end of the loan, juan carlos told me that k can do it but i have to call back on the 14, thats my payment date, i call today and they said that i cant do it, the only payment plan and the end the supervisor told me that if i paid 50 dollars they let me put april payment at the end of the loan, its crazy they dont help loyal customer's during this situation......

I dread having to contact anyone who works for Westlake they never know what is going on,they are rude and simply make it difficult to resolve any issue. I waited 4 month to get a check back to fix the damage on my car. They lost the first check and I had to constantly check up with them to see how the process was going because they just dont care about their customers. I get called every month for 2 days straight starting at 8am all the way to 10pm when my bill is due even though I have an automatic withdrawal. The list of complaints goes on and on. I have honestly never delt with a company that has so little regard for their customers. Once my car is payed off I never want to deal with them again

I called in furious as to what was going on with my account and the payout I had made to my account. I spoke with Marvin Rodriquez who was able to assure me that it will take about 7 days for me to get all the paperwork for my payout and at that time, I can go file for a new title through my local DMV ( department of Motor Vehicle ) or I could just wait till they send it to me. He made sure I fully understood the process and I thank you Westlake for hiring someone like him who takes the time out to really listen to customers and go above and beyond to figure things out. Because of him I will pass on this experience and the car buying experience with you guys have been awesome. I will keep you all in mind when I choose to purchase another vehicle. Awesome is what Marvin and you guy are!!!! #happycustomer

THE WORST!.. 0 stars.. Only putting 1 star because you have to to post a review.. I was in a car accident and my insurance company paid this company and they continued to report negatively to the credit bureaus and reflect a balance. I would speak to manager after manager to try and clear up the matter but it got worse and worse as late charges and interest reflected on my acct daily.. Then I get a letter for them to settle my for $795 that would reflect negatively on my acct. Meaning it would show me as not paying $16883 when they already received money from the insurance company. I have had several cars and have paid them off and worked very well with other car lenders but Westlake is by far the worse! Customer service is so unprofessional and rude it's ridiculous and my situation still has not resolved.. THESE PPL ARE FRAUDS I WOULD NOT RECOMMEND. PLEASE RUN FROM THIS COMPANY..

This company has given me a headache. I don't normally leave reviews and I don't want to sound like a Karen. I call so many times and always hear different things from all of the reps I talk to. On my recent payments. I'm getting charged an extra NSF fee even when I make my payments on time, somehow the payments get returned but my bank account information is all correct. I've contacted my bank for these issues but everything is fine on their side. When I talked to a westlake rep about this issue, they told me "its just $25" that even though its not my fault I still have to pay the NSF fee, this is the second time its happened. I know $25 isnt that much but why am I getting charged extra for no reason?

I was on time for ALL of my payments over the past 2 years. When I became pregnant, lost my job, and had to rely on my husband to make my payments, and we were a week late, they informed me that this was the third time I was late and they were going to take my car. Very unprofessional customer services. I m working on trying to pay off my vehicle or have it refinanced by my bank. I work in customer service myself, and never have I ever heard someone call from a financial institution to answer the phone Hello first off. The phone reps will cut you off and they are extremely rude. They don t listen. No introduction when they first call. They just ask for the last 4 of your social. My previous financial institution, Honor Finance went out of business, and my account was transferred over to Westlake. Unfortunately, I had a unforeseen circumstance in the month of September, and now trying to get caught up, and I haven t received a formal introduction from westlake. Not via mail or email. As of now, nothing good I can say about the customer service dept. I m highly sure that the company as a whole is a great company, and all companies grow through leaps and bounds, but the customer service dept...not at all. Not helpful at all.

I wish I had heeded the warnings before dealing with these "people".
I could type a novel on why and how horrible this "company" is.

I have been a customer for almost 3 years and this is by far the absolute WORST lender I've ever had. Advice to all who are considering Westlake Financial: Don't! There are too many other lenders to choose from who won't harass and abuse you and who will treat you like a human being.

ASK what lenders are available for you to CHOOSE from. If Westlake Financial comes up, do NOT select them. You WILL be sorry.

I have never in my life had a horrible experience like this...I got a approval for my car...took my car home and turned in all my requested info and was told I turned in a fake bank statement and they gonna deny my app...I have lived at my home over 2 years...I have as many statements as they could have asked for...I have tax records and utility bills...I never seen nothing like that before ever! now I have to start over and I was not even given a chance to provide any other documents. I mean my ID...check stubs and statements have the same address... that is just pure bs and they know it and it is completely wrong theres in right in it period.

We currently are paying on a vehicle, we pay on time every month we made a cash down payment to purchase the vehicle so no collateral was needed and recently we learned that Westlake financial services placed an illegal lien on our vehicle. We had excellent credit when we purchased the vehicle from Shawns motor credit and Westlake handles the vehicles purchased at that dealership. Now our credit is tarnished because of this illegal lien. In the state of Texas it is against the law to place a lien on property without the owners knowledge. And legal action can will taken.

I have been trying, unsuccessfully, for 27 days to get them to update my client's credit report, from their inaccurate reporting 11 months ago. This error is preventing us from closing on a mortgage loan...which, we have already extended the contract on twice. Now, after pulling a new credit report, to determine if they had updated it as they said they would (they DID NOT CORRECT THEIR ERROR), they tell me it could take "up to 30 days"....after we have already waited 27 days. Terrible customer service! Every time I was told we would have resolution, it never happened, and had to start completely over. DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY!!!

Continuously affected my credit negatively by reporting missed payments after being paid $154 over my loan amount.Although my vehicle was deemed a total lost a week after I got it, not to mention that my payments were not due until a month later. I ve also been calling everyday to get the account resolved and so far No one has been of any help and the customer serous way below satisfactory. I definitely would NOT recommend this company to ANYONE they are SCAMMERS!

Try an talk only to be talked over, you are always wrong even if you have recites to prove that you are current. You magicaly are still behind. They are very good about reporting to credit bureau's. I have paid early every month for 5/6 months and I just found out my credit jumper 32 points because they reported my payments. Very happy with them so far; great customer service.
