I purchased a car through them and a couple months...

I purchased a car through them and a couple months later I got into an accident and my car was totaled. My car payments were due on the 26th and I got into my accident the next day on the 27th. I filed my claim with insurance and was told my car was worth 10,000$ and my insurance was covering 8,500$ So I had that gap, BUT I purchased gap insurance with my vehicle and when the next month came around, I didn t pay my car payment because my car has been totaled for a month so why would I pay it?? But I did continue to make my payments to my insurance just to be on the safe side and to make sure everything was covered. Well I talked fo westlake and they tell me to get in touch with GAP insurance and I guess it s something you can t just google and find??? So they said they d email me a copy of my contract and it should have GAPs contact info, but it didn t. But it did show that I paid an extra 400$ for the GAP insurance, it s basically a receipt and I m sorry but I m not paying that 1500$ gap when I paid an extra 400$ for GAP insurance for that reason and my car payment was paid the DAY BEFORE my accident so it was definitely active. But I still have westlake blowing up my phone all day long!!!!!!!!

Always paid on time and still had issues. Westlake Financial made me wait for an average of 20 min per call to talk to an attendant, some of them are hard to understand on the phone and there is no chat online. Also, the company filled out wrong information to the credit institutions, despite the fact that I asked them to fix my name for several times, they ignored it and screwed up my name to the credit reports. As a result I paid 2 times more the Kbb price of my car for nothing, the information does not exist in my credit report!

I have make my payments on time every time for the past 42 moths, and the payment for one time that it didn t post that same due date they re calling and calling, that s harassment. Wait at least 24 hrs before you guys keep calling your customers, and after we talk and told them the payment is made that maybe is processing, they still keep calling.
At least look at the customers payment history before calling to see if we made any late payments.

Westlake financial. Total scam. I have someone investigating them right now. Honestly I call about a bill and the customer rep on the other side of the other side of the phone had a very threatening sub par attitude. Would never recommend them. I could go into details for days but it s not even worth it.

Bottom line. I have NEVER missed one payment with them in over a year until being laid off from the pandemic ( New Jersey) Westlake is willing to come take your car in the the middle of a pandemic. That really just sums them up

The WORST financial services company ever! None of the representatives have any customer service skills and none of them seem to understand English. I had a car financed with them for 10 months and always paid on time, traded the vehicle in and they are now harassing me for the payoff when I have already verified that the dealership mailed the pay off to them LAST MONTH!! Terrible representation of a financial services company. When I called to speak to a supervisor, I was placed on hold for well over 20 minutes. I ALWAYS PAID ON TIME OR BEFORE TIME AND TO BE TREATED SO RUDELY IS ABSOLUTELY INSANE!! It took numerous calls to get a "supervisor" who, like many other complaints have shown, was uncooperative, unprofessional and rude. I will never, ever finance with Westlake again. Like another complainant stated, I'd rather be DENIED than to get financing through Westlake. And on top of that, they NEVER REPORTED MY GREAT PAYMENT HISTORY TO THE CREDIT BUREAUS - so much for helping me re-establish credit as it was claimed. RIP-OFF!!!!!

They are amazing! Helped me through out the process of getting my car back! They were always reminding me and constantly made sure that I was doing my best in keeping up with my payments! This is my first loan that is under my name and I highly recommend Westlake Financial to all those young people who are wanting to get their first car financed! If I were able to not check a star, I would. Worse finance company I have ever dealt with. They had my car taken from my job over $86 measly dollars. Then told me in order to have my vehicle returned to me, I had to pay $1, 174.48. Ridiculous people. Paid the money the same day, a Tuesday, but could not get my vehicle until Friday. Then the tow company went through all of my belongings and threw it all into a garbage bag. Will be refinancing with someone else real soon. STAY AWAY FROM THIS COMPANY!!! AVOID @ ALL COSTS...

They have no idea what's going on around there !!! I bought a Jeep from a place in Missouri that is being shut down and I have heard in court that it is no longer there anymore !! Just left because the paperwork of court was piling up on them !! But ha ha ha ha those idiots sent me my title in the mail .. so they actually can I come get my vehicle .. they have stolen over $15,000 from me and my father !!

An extremely Anti-Military Organization. They do not honor service members benefits. They customer service was horrible, they contacted me 24/7 when my account went past due, but never gave me a follow up call on information I requested. The representative are uninformed and made up stories to satisfy my concerns over issues I had, even when they possessed no knowledge of what I was referring to. There was no standards from my experience, like everyone I spoke with had varying information except the few honest ones who told me they had no idea what I was referring to. Then there were those who disconnected my call on three occassions after placing me on hold to get a supervisor, coincidence you might say. It was just a horrifying experience with Westlake.

This place is a joke I've been dealing with this place for over a month now. I am financing my vehicle and I never got anything to register my car. I called several times. Seems like they don't know what to do. First its go to the dmv, I did that then it's well go on to my title support and see what they can do. Again I did that the lady at my title support said there was nothing she could do because I didn't move out of state or change my name. I have been getting the run around with company for a very long time. I finally said forget it and called a district attorney. Nothing has or had been done with westlake financial. Do not go through this company. They do not know what they are doing.

well I don't know for the other people, but I am giving it 5 stars because they are so nice to work with. customer service is great so far. I'm happy that they took me in so I can finally get a new car for a good price. even if you are 5 days late or 10 days late, no problem with them. unless if you are 30 days late, it will affect your credit score and your vehicle will be towed... duhh!! obviously they are helping people with bad credit so the rules are more strict for us than those who has a better credit scorer. take in mind this that if you have a bad record, you will always have to be on time with your payments no matter what. I have never been harassed by them and they are always very helpful over the phone. they are very good. that's all I can say.

They are rude, unorganized and very incompetent at resolving issues. I am refinancing my vehicle just so I don t have to deal with this ridiculous company ever again.

I simply called to see if they could help me out during this pandemic because I have been laid off for 2 months and am unable to make my payment. The answer they gave me was a big fat " sorry we are unable to help" I have great payment history and I really needed them to stand by my side and help. I would NOT recommend this company to anyone! It saddens me that I am stuck making payments to them for the next two years!

I've been a customer with them for 2 and a half years and I've paid my bill on time every month with a very high interest rate and all the through covid up in till now.. That being said I asked for a payment deferral because at the end of covid lock down I needed a little relief this month so i could financially breath and not fall behind on anything but was told that they suspended deferrals during the covid-19 pandemic and they could only give you the regular 12 days before late fees. Basically westlake financial is taking advantage of covid-19 to collect late fees, put you behind on your lease or even repo your vehicle. THIS IS HOW THEY DO BUISNESS AND ITS SHAMEFUL

I bought a pickup and financed it through Westlake and never missed a payment and was always on time after paying it off I verified my address with them for my title and they sent it to the wrong address and when I called to correct it they sent me to a third party to resend it and it costed me 30 dollars , there lack of communication skills with there representatives and inability to make it right with me is why I recommend not to use this company at all for financing!

Today, I had the pleasure of speaking to Alvin. He turned a bad situation into a positive one. Many times I have received calls from a representative named Desiree (very rude by the way) about my late car payments. I informed her that I was going to make a payment to cover the previous month. She begin to get irate by saying, I m looking at your account. You re lucky that you re not on my caseload because I would have repossessed your car. What s the reason as to why you weren t able to make your payment? I told her, I was helping out my family who were victims of the hurricanes recently. She said, That s not a valid reason, and you need to pay the car note (which wasn t due until the 21st).

By this time, I m getting upset and asked to speak to her Supervisor. She told me she wasn t available. Her and I went back and forth and got nowhere. She told me that she would give me until the end of the month and that was it. We ended the call.

Today, I called Alvin and explained my situation. He was very understanding, apologetic,and patient. He resolved my issue. If you need assistance from a professional contact Alvin.

Can't even speak to a supervisor because they just so happen to be busy, probably speaking to another customer about their terrible service. And when you finally get them to address the issue, they continue calling you for days, multiple times a day, and the excuse they use is "our system takes days to update" Im tired of the calls and the rude employees. My husband and I lost everything in Hurricane Harvey, we tried to get Westlake to push out 1 payment so that we could rebuild our home. They proceeded to tell my husband that they would push it out. BUT they would be adding 20%interest to the payment over a 4 year and we would owe a balloon payment at the end. Don't deal with these people, they are CROOKS!!!

Great company!

Have been working with Westlake for well over 12 years. Like all companies they go thru changes but have remained loyal to us (FEAS). Over the years we have built a very strong relationship with many departments that make my job a lot easier when we have issues. The Dealer Compliance dept (Susan, Cynthia), the Title Dept (Erica M), the Insurance Dept (Ralph ), our rep Daniel is a huge help and even the CEO is always happy to assist with anything that we need.

All in all I have had a good experience with west lake through my time using them. Only have I had one mishap how ever no one or place is prefect. The staff was very helpful with my pay off process!

I was happy with the ease of the loan took half a day and required minimal paperwork, interest I got was 6% and I haven't had any trouble at all. Then again, I pay my bills on time and knew what i was getting into when I committed to buy. I hate having to buy a vehicle on finance, but I got an okay deal on the vehicle I really wanted so it was worth it in the end. I'm not saying they are the best company on earth, but if you pay your bills on time there is little they can do to repo, or harass you.

Initially gave them the details of the issue, they then transfered us to another department. Once transfered we then again gave them the details to the issue and once again we were transferred. This continued 5 more times transferring us back and forth from the same departments. Not including the ridiculous wait time we spent on hold. After 2 hours of being transferred around and giving the same deal information over and over repeatedly we were told that we would have to call back in an hour. This service is beyond unprofessional, Westlake needs to train their employees correctly after this 2 hour ridiculous mishap nothing was done to make any progress on the issue.

This is based on my experience with Jana'e the customer service representative at Westlake Financial Services. She was able to anticipate my needs and the reason for my call before I had to even get into. She resolved my problem thoroughly, professionally, and with kindness. If wish every customer service representative would be able to follow Jana'e's example. This was literally my forth call in a hand-full of days (the third got disconnected after being placed on hold) So by my call today, I was beyond angry. But like I said Jana'e jumped into action and stayed on the phone with me until the entire situation was taken care of. She definitely is a star employee that takes the sting out of phone calls like that.

I currently hold a loan through Westlake Financial. I have very poor credit and Westlake took a chance on me and my husband. I'm shocked at all the whiny poor me reviews on here. I've gotten behind more than once on my car loan. Each and every time, Westlake has worked with us. You can't get mad at a financial institution if you don't make payments. They owe you nothing. In fact, they were probably the only ones willing to finance you. So, yes, while their rates are very high. ..I'm the only one to blame. Had I taken care of my credit. ..I would have been able to go with my local credit union. People just don't take responsibility for their actions. I too have medical issues that requires me to travel out of state. Every time, Westlake has been helpful. Now, why a 4 star? There's always room for improvement. But to everyone else. ..pay yer bills!

My car was repossessed and when I called west lake they had no idea who repoed my vehicle. I told them that I was willing to pay in full whatever amount it was that I owed them. But In order for me to make the payment I would need to get my wallet out of the vehicle! They had no idea where my vehicle was! I was on hold for 4 hours! That means here in Florida it would be 5pm for us being (3hr Ahead). Its 3:30 right now in FL so that means this company should be open when i call but when i call its saying there closed..? So that means my credit going to drop because i couldn't make a payment on time due to not able to get ahold of them when i called 4 times. Phone line says there closed and google says there open till 2pm. Doesn't make sense which one is it? Report this company to the Better Business Bureau. The more people report them the better it will get. And then start a class action lawsuit against Westlake Financial Services. File a online petition against this company. I guarantee we will win as customers. I even went to a bank to refinance my loan before I could fill out paperwork to run my credit she ask me what was the name of the company that I have my loan with I told her West Lake Financial the lady went to get the bank manager and when the manager came over she told me sorry but we don t refinance loans from West Lake Financial. I asked her why and she said that west lake was on there company list of not to refinance it was the company policy. This company is horrible. The are stealing from us vulnerable people they know they are price gouging with the interest rate. I pay more then what is due every month never missed a payment and they still apply more to the interest then my principal. And when I call they always come with a excuse of daily interest. How can it be daily interest when I pay the amount that is due plus extra money on time. This company doesn t care about us they only care about our money. If we all get together and boycott this company then they will feel what we feel and maybe then they will change for the better of their customers.
