So inconvenient. Takes hours to get on the phone with someone for pre qualifications. Automated system doesn t direct you to the right place. Very frustrating. representatives just seem like they don t care. Really not a good experience

My husband fell ill to COVID 19 and instead of caring, westlake calls upwards of 8 times a day and threatened repossession of his vehicle. He is a vet who fought for his country and now fighting a vicious virus and westlake states there is nothing that can be done. Don t bother emailing their customer service inbox either, it s a waste of time and you will receive a generalized textbook response, much like I see most reviews here have received. They don t care. Their service is not personalized to their customers they are just simply money hungry and unlike every other business, they are unwilling to work with us on a resolution.

I m 7 months in on payments paid on time 100% toward a vehicle I have had financed. When I started this, I was told what % is principal and what % is interest for each payment. I didn t think I needed to check every month to make sure, since this company is well-known and supposedly reputable.

Not only is each month extremely inconsistent and entirely random, my interest is way higher than I ever would ve agreed to in the first place. I just had a serious hospital visit and I have a child. I feel like I have been getting robbed without the gun.

My name is Deborah Wourms. In the past 2 years I have had many financial issues and I fell far behind on my payments. I spoke with Jorge Mata in customer service today to try to resolve my issues. I was pretty upset and scared, but he instantly put me at ease. He was very kind and was willing to work with me to resolve my issues and come up with a plan to repay the remainder of my debt in a fair way that will allow me to keep my car. I am very satisfied with my experience with both him and this company. His customer service is top notch!

Now when we want to sell the vehicle, we call AGAIN to get the title/release of lein and Automatically we "owe" fees?? 3 years after we pay them off, they "Just realize"?? Shady company

"DO NOT" get a car loan from the institution, I recently received a loan from westlake for a 2012 mustang, the day after picking up the car I was contacted by westlake to complete the process, i gave them my debit card info and proof of insurance, I was told my account would be charged $398, on the 12th of every month, starting september 12th, today september 27th, i received a phone call from the dealer I purchased the car from telling me my car was in the process of being repossessed, i contacted westlake and was told it was because that my payments werent not made, I told her that it was set up to automatically be pulled from my account, she them told me that they had been calling me and my references for the past 2 weeks "LIE" I asked why I wasn't emailed, she had no reason, I'm not sure how this company works but it seems like a huge scam I deeply regret doing business with this company.

This financial institution owes me $700! My account was over paid when I sent a check they said they had not received I paid with my debit card and set up payment for my final payment. My account was paid in full when they cashed the check for $700. I first called on March 1st when I discovered this. Today is March 11th and I m told they won t know anything until the 15th of March. I need my money back and no one seems to understand this is putting me in a terrible situation. This is absolutely unacceptable!!!

Worst company to get a loan through. I am told monthly to bring in a money order to first auto credit for my car payment of $200 a month to send to westlake finanicail and mind you im on disability. I have 5 kids at home 2 are special needs. I take care of my elderly parents, one is dying and we were in the process of taking him to the hospital this morning and they roled in without notification and took my truck this morning. I make all my payments I believe I might of missed 2 payments due to my dads serious conditions and now they want me to pay over $1,100 to get my truck back. I'm suing in small claims court. this is not a helpful company and in oct. 2017 I told the represenative to update my number she never did. so now its my fault. And I need my truck.

Well we all know they finance the people who cant get financed. I have never had a bad experience with them. Customer Service is top notch they dont hold anything over your head. As long as you pay your note you should be good LOL. ok so update i wrote this six months ago, now in December i go to pay off my car and they give me the run around and tell me the pay off on 11/29/2016 was 11,492 Dollars and then on December 1st the pay off is 11,976 Dollars 500 dollar increase in 2 days....hmmmmm anyone else think its a sham. I was treated rudely for trying to pay off my car....... told i misunderstood what they were saying, so i ask them to pull the recorded line and they never called me back, so today i call back and well its been 12 min sitting on hold already. Just to pay off my car. I think i will be talking to consumer affairs. Wrote this a few weeks ago and 20 days later my check for my payoff has never been found. They are trying to charge my 20 days of interest now. All is well with company until you try and pay your vehicle off. Maybe i should tweet Trump.

Worst experience ever. Car repossessed on a $56.00 technicality with NO MISSED PAYMENTS. Most customer service reps are very nice; however, the company in itself is horrible and a nightmare. Did I mention- no missed payments.. did I mention $56.00.. did I mention repossession? Demand your dealer look elsewhere for a finance company.

Call today to get assistance due to being off work due to a medical condition. The person tht helped me was rude, talking while Im talking and she stated that she was having a conversation. As I told her the conversation is not effective if she is speaking while Im speaking and I can not hear her of I was talking. She told.me she was going to send me a survey after I asked her to hang up her line so I can comeplete the survey of this call. So she told me that she would send me a survey to my email and I thank you for that. Please pull the call and evaluate her customer service skills. I would not give a star if it was offered. The reason I am giving this company only 3 stars is because they are not forward with everything they say. I was told that I would get my vehicle in 48 hrs after payment. 30 hrs after payment they start saying that the vehicle can only be released on weekdays. On top of that, they said all I needed to pay was a set amount with no other fees. Now they say I will need to pay other fees when the car is released. This is not an honest way to do business.

The customer service is horrible I have pay off my car, and as yet to receive a copy of my lien or title from westlake financial the company haven t mail or email me a copy of my documents like they would have when I was paying them instead they refuse to email or mail a copy of my documents stating my address may have change. I have verified my email address and my mailing address they are correct since I first open my account with westlake financial service. I spoke to several customer service reps since November who instead wants me to pay for documents that I should have received upon paying off my car in advance. The better business bureau will definitely need to investigate this fraudulent activity of the company holding your documents charging individuals for the documents that should be free of charge.

I have had a loan with them for about 16 months now. They have been great to work with for me. Pay your bill and don't expect everything handed to you just cause you have hard times. They are willing to work reasonably with you if you just communicate and pay your agreements. Patient people so far! Thank you

NEGATIVE -5 STARS DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY RIP OFF ARTIST... THEY DO NOT HONOR GAP INSURANCE , I'm on my 5th month of trying resolve the GAP issue and they reported it to MY credit. Their problem and I lose 40 points. AWFUL.

UPDATE.......1/2018 after months of fighting my account has been cleared up and taken care of. They went above an beyond when rectifying the problem. I have to say, once I was able to get around the flunky's and to the higher ups, my issues were handled and I got what I needed plus. I truly want to thank them, it was a nightmare but it got handled and I am now happy.

I have been with Westlake for about 7 months now and any time I have felt with their customer service department they have been nothing but helpful and friendly. I want to especially thank Jaime G. for his help with setting me up with auto pay and making me feel like I was just chatting with a longtime friend. Thank you, Jaime! The use of online payments is also very easy and I get text messages notifying me of upcoming payments. All I have to do is click a link and it takes me right to the payment screen. So simple! I hope to have Westlake financial in the future with other vehicles I may purchase.

It is simple, they gave me and helped me with an auto loan as my credit was shot due to a very bad divorce at a time I really needed it and the least I can do is pay them back on time each and every month until the loan is paid in full and fully establish myself with them as an excellent customer so the next time I need an auto loan Westlake Financial Services will be there for me. 5 Star professional outfit all the way. Worst financial service and customer service/systems ever. My car loan was transferred to Westlake as they absorbed the original lender. However, the original lender auto payments are still coming out of my bank account. Customer service couldn't do anything. Said it would stop.

Original lender site (and portal) is gone so I can't change the payment option. (Will have to block from bank.) New portal literally doesn't work. It assigns a payment date 2 days from the date you log in and try to pay. It won't let you change the payment date. Then it tells you that payment date must be at least 3 days from current date.

Turns out that their core business is debt collection. So best to put current customers in a collection situation by making it nearly impossible to pay? Interesting strategy. Avoid this company and their unethical practices.
