I was hoping for a good drink at the bar but it left much to be desired.
No tv in the sitting area was odd. I despise having to watch tv from my bed, especially if there is a sitting area with a couch and chair.
I was never told that the internet was complimentary for Platinum Elite.
Nice pool and hot tub area.
All in all, I guess I expected a little more out of the property.

Very accommodating! I wanted to do an early check-in at 1pm and switched from a king bed to two full beds and they made it happen. I didn't like how the bathroom didn't have an active vent and we didn't have a fridge in the room, but everything else was fine.

I am so excited to write this review. I checked in at the Westin LAX for an overnight stay because of a late flight. That location is average. I then relocated to my desired location the Westin Long Beach in which some of the reviews I read before selecting this lodging were an understatement. I am one that read reviews to make the best decision for my family. I checked in yesterday 4/7/18 to a very high energy young lady that made me feel like royalty. Her name is Gaby!! She was very knowledgeable about the hotel and gave suggestions on local dinning options and attractions. I was then greeted by Michael who took my bags to my room also making suggestions and making me feel like I am number one. These two individuals make your hotel look good and is the reason I took time out of my vacation to write this review. They represent your hotel with merit. In addition to my stay at this location, I visited the bar and met the most amazing bar tender Jessica whom also made me feel at home. I cannot say enough about this place. She also was showing off her leadership skills by educating other employers on how to conduct business. In summation, Westin Long Beach, you would be a fool not to uplift the highlighted persons.
For comparable price you will get much better service at the nearby Hyatt Regency or Hilton. Hotel is generally ok, with a very small pool on the 5th floor. Common theme across Marriott products, over priced gets you mediocre.

Brian the manager was very nice and helpful. Upon arriving I found out my reservations were for the wrong dates so they were very quick to make the situation right even though it was my mistake. He matched the group rate and when he found out I had brought a large group staying at the hotel he gave me a few upgrades which was totally not expected but appreciated. Every employee from valet, bellman, front desk, bar etc had great customer service for the 4 days I stayed. The front desk girl (I forgot her name because it s different/ethnic) was more than accommodating giving me an upgraded suite near the elevator for my handicapped husband who had trouble walking. I will definitely stay at a Westin again if this is how they always treat customers. Thank you for a fabulous stay.
We attended an event at the Long Beach Arena, and the Westin was conveniently located across the street.
Perfect location. Expected more for the price not a good value...room smells old bathroom not very clean....parking 28.00 per night... Phoenix Westin in much better..don t think I ll return to this location...honestly very disappointed

Attended a wedding at this location. Very beautiful and the staff was courteous and professional.
It was easy to find but traffic is not the best in this area. The staff are friendly and helpful. The restaurant was delicious and affordable.
You can't change the input on the TVs, and the wifi costs money. So, if you were going to bring an HDMI cable and your computer, don't even bother - you'll have to pay $20 to watch movies on demand. Hotel is fine other than that.
Rooms in front of the hotel provide great views of the Long Beach Harbor.
Housekeeping staff in this hotel are extremely noisy, talk too loud and constantly slam doors. I gave 2 stars because I raised this issue with the Westin during my first stay here 2 weeks ago and given that the problem still exists suggests management doesn't care about its guests. Not a restful stay as a result. Other issues with this hotel include, the wifi not working on my floor, dirty dishes outside rooms for hours and thin ceilings so noisy guests can be heard above. I wouldn't recommend this property.

Parking can be tough I feel. Our van is big and while I was able to find spots, I can't imagine during the week when people the parking garage is split with other businesses. Tons of reserved spots (which you can't use).
But overall, I enjoyed my experience here.

I visited the hotel for a few hours waiting to go to the airport. My friends we staying over night. They checked in fast and offered us water when we arrived at the room. The hotel staff was friendly and opened the front door for us. Easy access to the hotel for cabs. I would recommend the place based on my experience.

Do NOT stay here. My coworker had one of the worst hotel stays ever here. She stayed for a total of three nights and found out the hard way that they have BED BUGS. She woke up with bites all over her arms, legs, back and even her face! She picked up the mattress and there they were! The manager had her room cleaned for her and compensated her for the room, but that was just completely unacceptable. You go to a hotel for hospitality, and to leave, hoping that you don't take home parasites that have sucked your blood all night?! And hopefully her baggage and clothing don't transfer them to her own home! Totally unacceptable and we will never be staying there again.
2.5 hour wait for room after normal check in time. Counter in room was dusty. Had to pay for wifi.
TV remote didn't work, rain shower too low, toilet was cracked, bed was lumpy, the room didn't match the reservation, and they charge guests $26 per day to park.
Very disappointing experience for a very seasoned Marriott Platinum Elite Member. They double charged (hotel error) me points to stay in a mediocre hotel under construction. Stay in the Renaissance Long Beach Hotel instead.
The room was clean and beautiful. The shower was luxurious with a rain shower head.

This is definitely not a 4 star hotel. It's ok, but pretty run down. My visit started out when I was checking in and there was a blow up bed bug on the street at the entrance of the hotel- protesters were complaining about unfair treatment of workers. Well, they are severely understaffed as housekeeping typically did not tend to our room until about 4PM each day (we left before 8AM each day). I also had several issues with my room key not working (three times over my 3 night stay) and the front desk employee was not friendly or apologetic each time I had to get it reset.
Would not stay again- this was by far the worst Westin I've ever been to.
Don't waste your time...lousy service and wi-fi is worse than dialup yet you pay $15/day extra for it...when I stayed they were having employee protests with employees standing out front with bullhorns telling us to leave...this went on ALL day...very annoying.
Love the surrounding area and the hotel is nice and comfortable.
This definitely is not a four star hotel I was so disappointed in the small room an they don't tell you that you have to pay for parking until you pre purchase the room I was very disappointed but on the up side it had a beautiful view an the pool was nice but didn't go in it. For the price it wasn't at all worth it will try a different hotel if I want to have a quick get away as I was doing this time
Premier members - don t expect special treatment here. It s pretty empty, and as Titanium I still go no upgrade. Also, no club lounge. Self-parking is $30/night. Some properties will waive this based on status, this hotel does not.

There was no wi-fi in the rooms unless you bought it for $ 12 a day. Downstairs in the lobby but you could also get free wifi. There was no breakfast and no parking, everything you had to buy extra. The room service with food etc. also overpriced and even the computer space was not free. For 1/4 hour 7 $. Otherwise a modern, clean hotel. Relatively good location, you could go down to the beach and there was an outlet nearby. The cleaning ladies were very friendly and did not knock on the second morning extra and came later. For a purpose stay because of the beach near a bit too expensive and if you need Wi-Fi you will be exploited here.
Near the Pike with views of the harbor. Lots of local restaurants and conveniently located for all southern California attractions.

There was an odd smell in the lobby, but the rooms were very nice. Mine even had an essential oil roller (lavender) for a good night sleep.
Great hotel. All Westin establishments are very nice. Just be careful about their underground parking garage. If you can find your way out of their underground parking garage I'll give you props. Very difficult everytime I jumped in my car and wanted to leave

The beds are incredibly comfortable and the restaurant blew us away! The heirloom tomato burrata cheese omelette was our go to for two mornings! Loved our stay.
