Westin Long Beach Reviews

Met up with a colleague in town for a conference. Had beers and a quick bite. Food was good and service was fine. Central location to Long Beach convention center.

Great physical Hotel, marred by the usual poor plumbing, facile electrics and rulebound customer service.

Great location in Long beach, walking distance to the main attractions, restaurants, great restaurant in the hotel, the fitness centre is also a decent size. Love the breakfast there. The pool is great but no wifi by the pool.

Overall it's a nice location and nice hotel. It's a bit tricky to try and find the entrance to the hotel from the parking structure. Lady at the front desk said she would comp our parking for the troubles, however we were still charged when leaving. (Also the lady working the parking lot was very rude & didn't care to try and help us figure out who had told us that. She was on her phone watching videos & had a real bad attitude/tone). Then I noticed I was missing my white bag & called to see if they found it. They said they didn't find it but I remember it was left behind on the bed, I remember thinking to myself that it blends in with the bed and to try and not forget it...which I stupidly did. Anyways, they said they didn't find it but I'm sure whoever cleaned the room kept it for themselves. Never staying there again.

Stayed at the hotel for a conference being held there. The room was nice, and the shower was great. Everything was super clean. The hotel was pretty centrally located, and we were able to walk to lunch/dinner as needed. I would definitely stay here again.

Came here to rent a car cause I was carless. :( This place is huge!

I have no idea how this hotel is classified as 4-star. Must be some pretty low standards in that area. Checked into our room around 8pm, moved all of our bags in, and then found out the AC unit is non-functional... .an hour after contacting the front desk the repair man shows up to say there is no fixing it.....so we have to switch rooms....and of course the only available room is many floors down and on the other side of the hotel... .and it reeks of smoke (no smoking policy didn't apply it seems), and sure enough, the AC unit in that room is on its last leg......so I spent the night sweating on top of my sheets. I canceled my stay the next morning after leaving a complaint at the front desk, and have yet to be refunded. Thanks for ruining my trip Westin Long Beach......truly worthless hotel.

I loved staying at the Westin in Long Beach, service was great and it is clean and close to everything.

My husband and I had a great night here at the Westin Long Beach. Very nice complimentary bottle of wine and sweet treats for our anniversary. Wonderful service!

Good hotel. Fairly clean and big rooms...most with a nice view. Friendly and helpful staff. Good location to visit the main attractions in Long Beach and really close to the beach itself.

Windows are single paned so the sun and UVs bakes the room all day. Keep the curtains drawn do you can't enjoy the views. Same thing in the "winter". The facilities are cosmetically updated. The bathrooms are not. This is not a hotel which have inviting public hangout spaces. The downtown area is still being transformed so in about 5 years time there should be more interesting shops and restaurants to walk to, but as of now, you'll have to drive to other parts of town.

This place really teases the wallet, tickle tickle, pay pay pay. After spending 400$+ on a room for only two nights they wanted to charge an additional fee of 50$ to parking the garage and there was no other attached parking options.

Decent hotel. However the sundries store next to the lobby is stupid expensive. $3.50 for a small bottle of water. $7 for a small tube of toothpaste. Come on Westin, the gouging is unnecessary.

Solid hotel with a shiny new airy lobby. Rooms are nice enough, bathrooms are pretty good but starting to show their age a little more than the rooms are... and the hallways get really loud with other hotel guests, so that's a consideration if you're trying to sleep

Good location. Outdated small rooms. Gym is small for Westin standards. Parking is expensive (24 USD per night).

Comfortable bed and linens. Quick room service but in room fridge inoperable

A very nice hotel. Loved the pool and hot tub. The suites are beautiful.

I love luxury! And it's always a luxurious experience when at The Westin. Plus! They are pet-friendly which is the cherry on top.

Comfortable rooms and stay. Free Dasani for SPG members. Staff is very friendly and helpful. Great breakfast, especially when it's free ;)

My stay at the Westin Long Beach hotel is always beautiful, I love every moment of it.. the environment the weather it's just beautiful.

The hotel is clean, easy to get in n out. The staff was professional packing si $15/day, and the location is closer to everything

I loved this place. Great place to stay and thet accommodate families with kids well so you don't need to worry about the noise as much.

Good price, cool urban area, with many shops! Also xlose to the water. The hotel itself has a pool amd a security staff that is nice the rooms are pretty standard some of the rooms have a balcony.

Beautiful hotel. Front desk staff 5 star. Bed was so comfortable. Wish I could say more but I arrived late and checked out early.

We made use of a parlor suite and executive room which were pretty straightforward in design. It was fairly business-like and got the job done. Not much in the way of character. Right in downtown Long Beach, it was a good option, even with the $28 nightly parking rate.

Friendly staff and clean hotel. I was there for business only and was treated as if I were a guest.

Everything of this place is mediocre!

Our friends were staying at the hotel so we joined them for the day. First room smelled like smoke but they moved us in an hour or so .

This hotel is extremely professional. I love that there's an in-room stretching channel and lavender oil for relaxation. Have a 'run guide' is awesome for those that travel for work frequently, and they even have towels and fruit infused water as well as chilled water bottles for your post-run hygiene and hydration. Access to the Conversation Center, local restaurants, nail salons, and public transit are also awesome perks.

One star is too generous for this place. I got bitten by bedbugs. Reported this to the front desk. The person I talked to told me the maid will be in 6 o'clock in the morning so talk to her about it. I spent the rest of the night sleeping on the easy chair. I'll never come here again. Downtown L.B. Is dead at night. Next time I'll stay at the Westin Bonaventure Los Angeles where I stayed before and I had a great time sampling the wonderful Los Angeles nightlife.

Fantastic location, tons of local restaurants and bars within walking distance

The hotel is nice and staff is accommodating. It is odd and unfortunate that the pool is located on a lower floor and not on the roof, as it loses sunlight relatively early. The surrounding area has good food, but you don't always feel safe walking around. Coffee makers and fridges in the room. Hot tub and gym on the pool level.

Very nice staff all around, from front desk to housekeeping to restaurant servers. The rooms were OK, and we felt comfortable with the beds and the crib they provided. The fitness center is small but adequate. The pool is somewhat small, but nice and there's a decent hot tub. The restaurant staff were great, but the food was meh and a bit pricey.

The room was clean, staff was very friendly, food at the bar was good.

Great hotel with a lovely view, but the fact that you have to pay 30$ for overnight Parking (28$ if you're a guest) is a bit annoying.

No mirrors for free weights. Suggested for years but ignored. Treadmills have mirrors - but no one on treadmills wants or uses them. Management just doesn't care/listen.

The Westin hotel in Long Beach was very clean & comfortable. The staff is friendly and helpful. The location is within walking distance to downtown long beach. My only complaints about this hotel are the $25 parking and the $20 wifi charges.

Came here for the Threshold trade show. It's very clean. The show moved like clock work, and lunch was delicious.

Never again! They ripped us off on the internet that was supposed to be included and our car was vandalized along with others in undercover secure parking. The management is arrogant and could care less about customer service. Too bad because it's a decent grade property.

I stayed at the Westin from Friday night, to sunday morning. My overall rating would be 3 stars all together. All in all, the Westin offers great rooms with plenty of amenities, access to several attractions within walking distance, and is within walking distance to rental bicycles, which expands your area of travel. With close proximity to the Pike, a night view of the pier is breath taking. Also, a little thing that meant a lot in my book is the free dasani water bottle. That was a pretty nice addition. Now down with some cons. The cleanliness of the room was poor. (Although it only seemed this floor, as a family member was staying a floor below us and had a clean room.) First off on the night of arrival, i found a towel full of makeup just laying on the sink. Compared what i found next, this was nothing. After the discovery of the towel, we found a stick-on finger nail just laying on the floor near the trash. Thats pretty gross. Not wanting to touch it, we left the next morning expecting a cleaner room. The towel was gone, but lord and behold the nail was still there. For such a highly rated stay, i expected much more from this hotel on the cleanliness side. Would i recommend? Yes, i would. But be sure to check your room. Would i return? Yes. But i would be checking around. All in all, it was a nice stay, but Westin, please work on the cleanliness. For your information we stayed in room 19 on floor 14.
