My favorite hotel in Jersey City. The hotel has a nice restaurant (Fire & Oak) and bar, clean and comfortable rooms, very helpful and friendly staff, and the always amazing Westin smell! The location is close walking distance to the Path for easy access to NYC.

Asked for a water facing room and got one. Staff is polite and the hotel is right next to a mall, so plenty of places to eat and shot at. Room service is very limited. No option for room delivery of food, except snacks and beverages. Remote doesn't work too well. The room is clean. Not a fan of the restaurant in the hotel. The menu is pretty limited. Location wise, the hotel is next to the light rail station which is a big plus if you're new to the city.

Nice modern hotel located two blocks from the PATH station and the waterfront. Helpful staff and new, clean rooms.

Great restaurant downstairs. Comparable to any steak house I've been to.

Thoroughly enjoyed my stay. Westins are always reliable, and this has a convenient location just outside New York City along a train station. Lots of convenient places to eat and shop in walking distance.

PROS: Good service, friendly staff. Nice bar and hotel restaurant has a great burger. Indoor pool. Good location near PATH.

CONS: Relatively expensive. Parking is about two blocks away.

Traditional Westin service, heavenly beds, and good service. One of the best options in Jersey City..

It's a really expensive hotel it's in the middle of them business district not too much to do around there locally unless you're going in New York

I used to stay at the Marriott all the time but with the Merger I said let s try the Westin. I m sorry Marriott but this is how you do a Hotel. The room was awesome the view was even better. And the Buffalo Bills happen to be in the building. Fire & Oak (the restaurant attached to it) has amazing drinks. They were rather pricy but still very good.

Stayed here when we were thinking about moving here. The bar/restaurant downstairs was good and I like the views. We ended up moving here but put my out of town family up here often since we know its a great place .

Stayed at the Westin - great room, service and pool. Would recommend for anyone who can tolerate the path to NYC 2 blocks away

Nice hotel but I was on a horrible floor. Never take a room on the fifth floor. Constant banging from the gym next door and whatever is on the floor below. The lavender scent on all the bedding is unbearable for allergies.

I like the Westin. It feels like a high end hotel but the prices are OK. Newport is an OK spot for getting to Manhatten or Hoboken.

The best is the location. Newport path train is only 200 meters to go, this takes you to the empire state building or to WTF in just 10 minutes and you are here far away from crazy sirens an traffic nightmare from downtown. The hotel itself is also nice. The only point is the size of the beds. Definitely not normal...We are 2 adults one kid and 2 queen size beds. So for the adults the one bed is way too small for the 2 of us, 120 cm width...!

So easy to get to from Manhattan. Good mall nearby and the hotel has decent food. I will be happy to go back.

Great location, easy to get to by car bus or train. Very friendly staff and great hall for functions.

Standard Westin, the room is large, the facilities are new, the bedding is comfortable, and the shower is good. What needs to be improved is the service. From the front desk to the cleaning staff, they are all serious and faceless, and they don t feel the respect for the guests.

Nice but overpriced and to fancy for my tastes. Next time I'll wear my tuxedo carharts.

Nice hotel. Had a very comfortable stay. The restaurant in the hotel or over priced. Bit otherwise u liked it.

Everything was fine except you really should notify people upon check-in how to operate the thermostats in the room. I did not sleep well due to being warm because the A/C would only stay on for 30 mins at a time. I didn't notice the device to insert your key to keep it running.

Hated the roll in shower but oh well. I know those rooms have to be assigned to someone and I got the "luck" of the draw.

The company I work for accommodates me here every week and the rooms are clean and nice however the pillows are way too uncomfortable, every time I wake up I have neck and shoulders pain.
The gym and the pool are quite decent for a hotel.
The service during breakfast is usually nice except when the restaurant is half full, they get stressed and you have to wait for at least 15 minutes until someone notices you eventhough you have been trying to get their attention several times.
Overall, the hotel is good but don't expect something awesome

Very nice place. Pool was always empty. Just a train ride (which is 2 blocks away) to Manhattan

Wonderful place to stay with a family visiting the NYC area. Incredibly convenient to the Path trains. The staff was incredibly friendly. We had a beautiful view. when we come back, we will definitely stay here again!

Beautiful hotel in Newport New Jersey. Nice views. Nice rooms. Very clean and spacious. Very nice swimming pool. Nice lobby. Easy and fast access to Downtown Manhattan. I was happy at this hotel. I stayed there twice. Both times was very very good. Thank you!
